Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian leaving her Beverly Hills home yesterday. She was on her way to The Tonight Show, where she was allegedly promoting her part in Tyler Perry’s Temptation. Quick: who are the stars of Temptation? Right? I don’t really despise what she’s wearing here… I mean, it’s not flattering, it’s too short and she looks ridiculous, but it’s not as bad as the other stuff she’s worn this week.
You know that Kim has worn a few pieces of Chanel during her pregnancy, right? Well, Karl Lagerfeld was asked about Kim during a recent interview, and Karl was actually sort-of nice about it. He said: “It’s very pretentious to say ‘I don’t want to see this on that person, etc.’ Everybody is allowed to buy it, to enjoy it. I’m not there as a fashion judge, I’m there as a designer.” Which is as nice as Karl Lagerfeld gets, truly. He didn’t call Kim names, he’s just like “Well, anybody can buy the clothes, whatever.”
As for Kim’s Tonight Show appearance… I’m including the videos below. Kim’s girlie-stripper voice annoys me, but the interview isn’t terrible. Kim admits that her pregnancy was “a pleasant surprise… it wasn’t really planned.” As for baby names, she says: “We have a list. And some of them are ‘K’ names some of them aren’t. North is not on our list… but you know what name I do like – but it probably won’t be on [our list]… I like Easton – Easton West – I think that’s cute.” In Part II, Kim talks about her weight and the media and how she doesn’t appreciate being called “fat”.

It’s pretty obvious that from the amount of comments, as negative as they are, people are paying attention to Kim and for that reason she isn’t going away.
It’s so funny to see people complain about her, but she’s staying relevant because people care enough to complain. Does anyone complain about Paris anymore? Not really. First off, I can’t stand this woman.
However, her atrocious choice in clothing and her comments about her weight (which she’s pretty much forced to make in defense of herself) still don’t entitle anyone to call a pregnant woman “fat.”
I don’t think of her as fat. She just doesn’t wear clothes that fit right or look good on her, now or before she was pregnant. It’s rather bizarre, which explains why I keep reading about her…
My latest theory is that she genuinely is not very intelligent (dull normal range?) and she is kind of baffled by responses to her. This might be as good as it gets for her. The rest of the Klan seems to be of at least normal intelligence and reasonably self-aware. But Kim reminds me of a kid in my class in grade school who was clearly of lower intelligence although a nice, friendly person (well, Kim isn’t as nice). Does anybody know how Kim did in school? We know they all cheated (mom already revealed that) and education is low-priority in that family. But did she struggle in school? That doesn’t necessarily mean lack of intelligence, but together with other things could be enlightening in figuring out what makes Kimmie tick (or not).
She is not, “forced” to make any comments. Her PR team plants the stories and she replies to them for press. Get with the game. This family is so transparent. All they do is lie.
If you wore pregnancy clothes maybe you would “Look” pregnant. But because you refuse, you “Look Fat”. Not all woman can refuse to wear pregnancy clothes. You are one of those who who clearly needs to wear pregnancy clothes. You have enough money hire someone! Until then don’t be shocked that people are critiquing your style as they always have. I believe since getting pregnant, she probably *has* been paying for things. Designers give freebies to those they feel will be good advertising for their brand, & right now, Kim is anything but.
Even if she’s not wearing the right sizes/flattering cuts, people are going to see her & automatically think that’s what it’s made to look like, & hate the outfit. So I don’t see them giving her hand-outs to f*ck up the public perception of said designs.

It’s the combination of actual fat pushing out the contents of the fillers in her face. Not to sound too gross, but those fillers are like aesthetically designed stuffing/subcutaneous cysts inserted throughout her face, the hardened nature of which is designed to fill out the tissues on her face. Her pregnancy weight in her face is pushing out those already plumped up tissues in the most unnatural way. What she is left with is a cat-like visage that isn’t helped any with the heavy eye makeup that narrows her eyes in this case.
If that’s the case, we’re talking implants (maybe in addition to fillers). Restylane and the other fillers are hyaluronic acid (thinking Perlane et al). It’s soft almost all the time barring complications and dissipates naturally.
I get my pathetically-thin lips done, at most, one every year and a half. I have been pregnant and my lips ballooned up with or without the lip stuff. But I doubt they’re hard. Implants on the other hand or perhaps scar tissue are a whole nother ball game.
Much as I hate K, I doubt she’s had fillers since she got pregnant. She’s vain, but I think she wants this baby to be as healthy as possible. And, she has very bad style, but fat comments aren’t appropriate for pregnant women. We all knew her body would not handle the extra weight gracefully.
Now, I feel dirty for defending her.

This isn’t shocking for someone who avoids using a full-body mirror entirely (because she’s unable to handle looking at/accept her new body). Otherwise I think even she would know better.

somewhat on topic: i follow a lot of fitness accounts on instagram and SO MANY WOMEN do before/after posts and nearly every damn one of them uses their 9 month pregnant photo as their “before” picture and it drives me INSANE. they weren’t FAT before! they were pregnant! and you can tell by looking at them that they weren’t overweight before pregnant, nor did they get to jessica simpson size while pregnant! being pregnant doesn’t equal being fat!
Heh, they just want to give the most exaggerated comparison they can, so everyone can be amazed by how much smaller they are. (Which they would be anyway after losing the renter in their uterus, & all their stuff xD)
I felt SO bad for Jessica, she was impressively (somewhat horrifyingly) large during pregnancy.
It looks like she took a non-maternity leather skirt and placed it as high as it could go to where she could comfortably button it closed. The only thing from stopping it from going to her neck is her huge boobs. It makes the proportions wonky since now the skirt looks ridiculous and is clearly too short.
Yes. I think it should be a rule that if you can’t sit with your legs crossed while wearing a short skirt, then you really shouldn’t be wearing a short skirt.
Yet the hem is not higher in the front than it is in back, which is what happens when you wear non-maternity skirts. 0_O.

Kourtney may have gone hoping to be some sort of comfort to Khloe.

She’s a chronic liar, so we can’t really expect any truth about her pregnancy either. It’s a habit with her, she thinks it makes her life easier and lets her do what she wants with minimal conflict. Me, I could never keep track of the lies so I have to tell the truth. She actually doesn’t keep good track herself, hence she contradicts herself frequently. Whatever way the wind blows, apparently.
I was immediately wondering if Kim actually meant to admit having lied to her mother (about telling her first about the pregnancy). May have been an ‘Oopsie!’ moment (that she’ll pay for later, I’m sure).
But especially the way she sort of mocked her by saying ‘Because Mom thinks we’re ‘the closest’ (*insert ‘hand gesture’ here*). Which automatically says ‘no way’). If it were anyone other than Kris, I’d feel bad for her.

She’s right it’s wrong to shame a pregnant woman for gaining weight. Every pregnancy is different, even if she is flaunting it. Maybe (I can’t believe I’m defending her) on some level she is challenging what is culturally appropriate for a pregnant woman to wear, and that’s commendable. Being pregnant myself for the first time, and watching my body expand and feeling like I am out of control, all of the bashing on her has made me feel bad about myself (although I relegated myself to leggings and tunics months ago). I know the Kardashians are horrible, but pick on her for something else, seriously.

2.) As another here on CB suggests, she somehow acquired the mirror from Snow White, to which she poses the same question.

Kim K looks bigger because of her very short height. Duchess Kate will pop soon enough, but she won’t have Kim’s boobs or arms thickness. Kim’s right on this one. When you are pregnant there’s a lot that you can’t control. Even if you don’t gain too much weight some just swell up, get puffy, bloated, retain water etc.
I think the “What to Expect When..” books have done women a disservice by tacitly implying that you have more control over things than you actually do. ( And I’m writing as someone who was fortunate enough to gain all my weight in my belly and lose it all 9 months after giving birth.)

Besides, I’ve seen actual fat women who manage to look quite pretty. The secret is they wear clothes that FIT and are flattering to a full figure.

They make pretty flattering maternity stuff, too. I actually thought some of maternity dresses had more style than what I normally wore. And you can dress anything up with some nice jewelry.

I think it is commendable to be nice to Kim because she is pregnant,but NO, she does not look any better than she did last week. She looks ridiculous. That outfit is inappropriate for a pregnant woman. She clearly refuses to take the fashion advice given to her here a few days ago. She is still wearing high heels, and I think she will wear high heels even when she is giving birth.
Well…her legs look really good? I also don’t HATE the outfit but tbh if I were pregnant I would wear whatever I wanted and probably not care if it were cute/flattering. She thinks too much about it. But, she’s famous and I am not.

I will never put someone down, male or female, for their weight as we don’t know why the weight is there or not there (works both ways). When Kim first started talking about watching how much she gains (at the beginning of her pregnancy) it bothered me more as you need to gain some weight or the baby is very much effected. That being said, first this statement: ‘Kim admits that her pregnancy was “a pleasant surprise… it wasn’t really planned.”’ bothers me. If you are not on birth control of some sort and are having sex then the possibility of getting pregnant is always there. And please don’t give me the old “Kim has fertility problems” argument because apparently she doesn’t have them. And yes I know you can get pregnant while on birth control but Kim was not on it. Also, she really needs to embrace that she is pregnant, her body is changing and there are better ways to dress than the way she has been dressing. Every outfit (except the tan dress with the sandals) has been hideous. Also, it’s sad that you need to wear heels to feel sexy.
*I* find it sad that women feel like they have to be sexy ‘all-the-time’, or there’s something wrong with them. If they don’t feel ‘sexy’, then they feel ‘hideous’ or ‘fat’ or ‘*insert negative word here*’. Not into taking into consideration that ‘sexy’ is in the eye of the beholder to begin with, not universally one trait or look.

God help me but I have to agree, it IS mean to call a pregnant woman fat, even if she actually looks fat. A friend of mine last week told me I was getting pudgy and I actually burst into tears and started screaming about how it’s not my fault I’m pregnant. It does hurt, a lot.

Nobody’s calling her fat–we’re just pointing out that it’s silly to lie about your weight, particularly when you’re pregnant. Also, we’re definitely saying that she doesn’t know how to dress herself appropriately, but we were also saying that prior to her pregnancy.
I’m not calling her fat as much as I would say that her clothes do NOT flatter and make her look like a small house. As with the majority of women, they’re not fat – they’re pregnant! But there are those who go overboard with eating, like Jessica Simpson, and it reaches a point where the consensus is “whoa, that’s pretty unhealthy for mom & baby.” Kim will get there, I imagine.

She has had so much plastic surgery, her body is a by-product of petroleum.
Her a** is enormous and her boobs are huge because of her implants, plus the natural increase in size that occurs with pregnancy. But the distribution of her weight gain is off kilter. Her face is all jacked up, too, and the procedures she’s obviously had make her look ten years older.
I would never bag on a pregnant woman’s weight, especially since I gained, and lost, 50 lbs. with each of my two kids. But I didn’t dress in clothes that were sizes too small and not cut to accommodate a pregnant body. Kim brings the ridicule on herself because she is ridiculous.

2. I think most of us have been very careful to state that she is wearing very unflattering clothes, not that she’s fat. And also that she LIES about her weight.

On an episode of KUWTK, she was talking about surrogacy with her sisters, and Kim stated “I’m not going to get fat for not my baby”…lol in translation that means she wouldn’t gain wait to carry someone else’s baby…so she DID say the “f” word pertaining to being pregnant. She is a hypocrite.
I don’t think it’s right to mock someone’s weight period, pregnant or not, but Kim doesn’t remember half the stuff she says, she is always contradicting herself.
The funny thing is that the film looks actually quite good – it’s starring Jurnee Smollett (whom I love!) and Lance Gross. I think Kim is only in a minute portion of the film (thank goodness!). I hope people support the film even though she’s in it, films with people of colour in main roles need support!

I saw an episode of the show where Kim said she was detoxing her body. That was the episode when she got rid of the cat. I could have sworn she said that she was trying to get healthy in order to have a baby. Now she says that the pregnancy was accidental. She is such a compulsive liar.

Ok,i think she is being picked on for her atrocious style more than her weight gain. I do want to say that it would be terribly hypocritical for her to be on magazine covers or endorsing weight loss programs after she “loses ” her baby weight. I think that those things can be considered fat shaming to mothers who have just given birth and have more important things to worry about than losing weight. We know that she will change her tune as soon as she gives birth though, don’t we?
If you invite people to comment on your weight by going on and on about how Slim you are (when you really haven’t been since a teenager) you better be ready to called out on being Fat when you are.

I think the problem is, she doesn’t dress to compliment the pregnancy, she dresses like she’s ignoring it. Instead of clothes that would be flattering to her belly, she dresses like she’s not pregnant.

I don’t like the current trend of sheer tops with the bold, ruffled collars. The contrast doesn’t look good. Paired with a leather skirt and it’s even worse.
She should really ask Kourtney to style her. Kourtney looked great in both pregnancies. She was stylish but comfortable.

It is pretty disgusting to see a normal pregnant woman being called fat but it is just an extension… pregnant women’s bodies are apparently public property. It is a travesty for a pregnant woman to do anything to compromise a pregnancy but barely anyone care what happens to the foetus once it is born. How many people adopt abused children? Not many.
