AHHHH!!!! My palms are soaking wet. That is horrifying. Can’t wait!

    • CL says:

I feel you. I’m having to take deep breaths to slow my heart down. That was terrifying!

    • Chicagogurl says:

This is now my new nightmare.

    • Amy says:

I’ve been obsessed with space since the whole Space Jump sky dive thing. I think I took it for granted or something before then? Who knows. This is terrifying. Why must we wait until OCTOBER to see this?!

  2. pau says:

    I love space. I’m there

  3. HappyJoyJoy says:

    Holy sh*t! :0

  4. littlestar says:

Holy sh*t that was terrifying!!! Now this is definitely a movie I want to see! :O

  5. sarah says:

I must be the minority cause I don’t think it looks that good. It’d be a scary situation, don’t get me wrong, but the trailer did nothing for me.

    • Tasha says:

      ^ this

I love Sandra Bullock but the movie dosen’t look all that good and I’m not getting what’s so scary about it.

    • Toot says:

      Agree. I felt nothing.

    • BeesKnees says:

Yeah I’m not getting it either. The trailer made it look boring. Is she just going to float away the whole time? Don’t get me wrong, that sounds terrifying, but how is it an entire movie?

      • amilu says:

This is what I was wondering, too.

      • Amy says:

Not knowing anything about the movie and just going from the trailer, I think ONE of them floats away during the explosions and the other must find a way to get back to Earth by him/herself.

      • Miffy says:

Yeah, seriously. Don’t get how you’d get two (interesting) hours out of this.

    • Marianne says:

      Me too.

If there are some good reviews for it, maybe I’ll check it out. But so far, I dont think I want to watch a movie of Sandra Bullock floating around in space for 2 and a half hours.

I’m sure in real life that would be a scary situation, but in terms of a movie it wasn’t giving me any anxiety.

    • HappyMom says:

I’m with you. All I thought was “wow, that’s a lot of CGI.”

    • Sunny says:

Not scary at all. First of all there is no sound in space…linkages popping, explosions and so on. Second of all, Sandra Bullock’s face looks like a robot. Third…space with no monsters?!

      • Mandymandy says:

No sound in space was the very first thing I thought too! One of many reasons I will not waste $23 to see this (yes that is how much a movie ticket is in Australia…)

    • SW says:

Maybe I am just too much of a realist, but wouldn’t she just die? I mean, how is this a movie? Yes, that would be terrifying. being in space at would be terrifying…but ummm…she dead, right? I guess I don’t get how this would be a full movie…at some point she will yank or plug out and die. Sad. What else is there here?

    • Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Yes! to all of the above ^.

    • m says:

I just came from seeing Gatsby, and they played this trailer. The last line with Sandra asking if anyone can hear her had a sold out crowd in fits of giggles. Not exactly the reaction I think they were going for.

  6. Faye says:

I really like Sandra Bullock. But she’s jacked with her face so much that, in the words of the immortal Bunny Swan, “She look . . .like a man.”

  7. freya says:

Nope, looks like a bunch of crap to me. And what has Sandra Bullock done to her face???

  8. A says:

Oh god, nightmare movie!!! Can’t wait for the angst while watching it.

  9. Amelia says:

You can’t hear stuff smash in a vacuum.
Pedant moment of the day – done.

    • NorthernGirl_20 says:

Things don’t explode or catch fire in space either – there’s no oxygen.

      • Monie says:

Yeah the fire threw me off too since there is no oxygen. But most people don’t know much science so I’m sure the director didn’t see the harm in leaving that in.

      • Runs with Scissors says:

        huh

      • Intercontinental says:

        Two words – Star Trek

Edit: And every other out of space movie on the planet!! :-/

    • Beatrix says:

AHAHAHAHA. All of you are right.

      • Ag says:

SO annoying about the sound and fire in space. If this is in the trailer, I bet the movie as a whole has even more serious science “issues”.

  10. Reece says:

NOPE. I watched it twice. I kept thinking why is she so panicky and there’s no sound in space!

    • Mrs. Peacock says:

There’s no sound bc there’s nothing off which the sound can bounce/echo- but she’s screaming into a radio in her closed helmet, and in there, there would indeed be sound.

  11. Ag says:

    Kelly and Ryan FOREVA!

  12. Madpoe says:

omfg that trailer is scary sh*t and that’s just the teaser! *gasp* Spinning in space doesn’t seem like something I’d check of my bucket list.

  13. nicegirl says:

well, the magic of the movies still works on me, I am NOT that smart, in all honesty. Freaked me out big time.

  14. Common sense says:

I absolutely love this woman! been waiting to see this film since I heard she was staring in it. Can’t wait 😀

  15. mkyarwood says:

April O’Neill is ‘sposed to have red hair. She had black hair just a few days ago… this is a weird red.

  16. Runs with Scissors says:

but there was oxygen INSIDE the craft, no? And she was in radio contact so we could hear her voice? Ah, whatever, lol.
    I freakin love Alfonso Cuarón!

  17. Cher says:

BJ and Mindy??? Those 2 troll me so hard with their tweets to each other. They are the most flirty exes ever. I wonder how their partners cope.

  18. Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

Nope. No. No way. Not. Even. Gonna. Think. About. That.

  19. Apples says:

    Robsten in NYC:
A different site said he stayed at a different hotel and then picked her up for their Photo Op/flight home.
I am still amused by all the confusing PR BS with these two.

    • oivey says:

I just don’t get why they just don’t hold hands. I’m sure they’ve swapped plenty of bodily fluid it’s not like they’re going to catch something from holding hands.

  20. lisa2 says:

I guess I missed the nightmare part. It takes a lot to scare me. I think this will be great visually. Not sure about the human struggle. Maybe Shipwreck in space..

waiting to see if I see it in theater.

  21. rose says:

    Lol What so scary?

  22. I Choose Me says:

Pretty scary – the thought of just drifting, waiting for your oxygen to run out. But as others have said there’s no sound in space. Did they think it would be less scary without the sound effects?

  23. Marianne says:

So the whole movie is gonna be her floating around in space, trying not to die?

    • Apples says:

Maybe most of it’s flashbacks of her life? How long is this movie? Maybe she would have about an hour+1/2 of oxygen in her space suit.

  24. Leah says:

    Meh.

  25. j says:

Pretty sure Mindy and BJ are just best friends. They have both commented on that…and wrote an episode of The Mindy Project about their When Harry Met Sally-ish relationship. They’d be cute together though 🙂

    • Cher says:

They dated while they were both writing the office though. And they do flirt quite shamelessly online.

  26. SB1982 says:

Unfortunately, I don’t see what is so “panic attack/nightmare”-inducing about this trailer. I’ll wait til it comes out to rent…

  27. paranormalgirl says:

I cannot WAIT for “Gravity” – it looks awesome.

  28. KellyinSeattle says:

Love Sandra; there’s a on the internet of her with Louis, and he’s wearing a Superman outfit!! It’s too cute. Good Clooney looks cheesy in that first pic, like a goofy Inspector Klousea (?)

  29. Mrs.Krabapple says:

I guess all death is scary. But if I had to pick a way to die, dying in space doesn’t seem that bad. I’d rather die exploring the universe than die from cancer in a hospital bead. But that’s just me.

    • Carol says:

I thought I was the only one who thought this after looking at the trailer. I love outer space, and while I know a lot of my love is based on Star Trek and scifi books, somehow dying in space wouldn’t seem all that bad. And the things I’d see before I died would probably be amazing, even in a big, dark vacuum.

      • Apples says:

I’m with you ladies, and maybe that’s the ending- that she does die. But, in the end, it’s OK with her character because we all are going to die. Not all of us truly live first.

  30. Chris says:

“There’s no sound in space”, “There’s no fire in space”

Star Wars? Star Trek? If we did a run down of all the movies that got either the science wrong or the story wrong there’d be a little amount of movies.

Ya’ll must only watch documentaries and read biographies. Suspension of disbelief can be pretty awesome.

    • islandwalker says:

Ha Chris! I was thinking the same thing. It’s entertainment not a documentary. Lighten up people! It’s sci-fi for heavens sake. SB has always been kind of boring to me but I love space flicks so I’ll see it when it comes around.

  31. Abby says:

    O M G. Gravity. that’s scary!

  32. Rhiley says:

Is it wrong that I like Goop’s radio interview and thought she seemed genuinely interested and sincere?

    • Apples says:

      +1
The dirty secret of Hollywood is that the people we ofter revere are weirdos. Then their are the Goops that get bad press. But, everyone who has worked with her, loves her and she still has her friendships from growing up. Behind the scenes she is very, very popular.

  33. SW says:

OMG. I think this really made me like Goop more! She sounds real, not judgy, funny and nice….is goop actually one of the normal ones in Hollywood? God…can you imagine?! ha! Reese is crazy privileged and bitchy and Goop is super nice and friendly….

  34. pandabear says:

you don’t understand megan’s hair? in what way? probably just a red gloss for the part of april. her hair looks perfectly wavy to me.

  35. suhon says:

Yup, looks like a Sandra Bullock movie to me. There is probably going to be some comedy with her floating around in the atmosphere. Maybe she is going to end up in A-las-ka?

  36. Agitation says:

The people who got scared after this must have weak stomachs, because that shit was basic as hell and did nothing for me.

  37. F5 says:

The only nightmare is Bullock’s face close-up.

  38. andrea says:

Ryan gosling wont eat his cereal!! real tragedy, folks!

  39. Panter says:

Well I am pretty typwy or drunk watching this strainer and I think I feel pretty okay watching it even though I usually an q vivid dreamer . After this I will be okay I know . I hope everyone will just relax and know that it’s hat a movie. You don’t have to be d we’d scared . Nope

  40. yeahright says:

She sounds like Marge Simpson so I giggle when she screams.

  41. Lucinda says:

The Millenials article–meh. I’m generation X and they said the same thing about us. Constantly. We turned out okay. I guess. Oh wait, Stein is my generation. He should know better.

  42. orion70 says:

The thought of spinning away in space waiting for the end gives me the willies. Plus, I much more enjoy the kind of scare that is not in-your-face and messes with your head a little. Moon also gave me a major case of the creeps.

  43. andrea says:

Everyone says megan fox is so hot…to me she permanently f-ed up her face..
