I actually think she looks fine, can’t see the issue with the outfit. However there is definitely something odd about the way she is holding herself in these pictures, seems fairly tensed up and on edge.

    • Liv says:

I think she has a hair problem. Hated her bangs. And she has such a beautiful face, what a shame.

    • Florc says:

      She is her parents daughter.

      • RHONYC says:

if she dressed like a buttoned-up school marm there’d be sumthin to say about that. whatevs…

where’s her Stepdaddy is what i wanna know? 😉

      • Tara says:

How can people look at the same girl and see so many different things? Slender, 20 something hipster preparing for a movie or an unkempt, scrawny poser who is trying way too hard. No wonder a lot of females are body-conscious to an unhealthy degree. A lot of it is cultural. I have Indian and Asian friends whose parents put them down unless their collar and hip bones are jutting out. And in a lot of Hispanic neighborhoods here in NY the girls wear small tops not caring one bit about their baby fat or mini love handles. They look fresh and healthy and so cute!
I think this one is cute but did not get the traffic stopping looks of her parents. And movie role or not this one always looks thrown away – like all the things birds find and save to make their nests.
I want to send her to a spa, give her a burger and take away her Forever 21 card.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

I think she has great legs.

    • Jalee says:

She’s a beautiful girl, really stunning features, nice bod.

    • Thinker says:

That tense thing – she’s strung out.

    • karen says:

      She’s beautiful! Whomever she is…

  2. Kat says:

I don’t get why people keep pushing Zoe Kravitz as some kind of ‘it’ girl. *shrug*

    I mean, celebrity parentage aside…

    • jinni says:

Ok, so I’ve only ever seen her in that last X-men movie and maybe that’s not the best place to get a real sense of her acting ability, but she couldn’t act worth a damn in the role. I’m not sure she was even aware that she was supposed to be in a movie because she seemed so dead.

As for her parentage, despite coming from two gorgeous, interesting people she’s just seemed to be devoid of both of these traits. Not saying she’s ugly, just that she’s rather plain facially compared to her parents.

      • Denise says:

I’ve always thought the same about her looks. If she was our friend we’d probably be in awe of her physically, but in Hollywood with parents like hers you kind of expect more. Gorgeous features but it all comes together in a big thud for some reason – no personality to light it up?

And the wrinkled shirt was clearly picked off the floor and flung on. There’s no excuse for that in any situation, that is totally skid. Nice legs though, can I have them please?

  3. Happy21 says:

    She’s adorable.

Anna Kendrick is awesome too. She looks gorgeous in those GQ photos. I love how she is probably going to end up being the biggest thing to come out of the Twilight saga 🙂

    • booboocita says:

Anna Kendrick is delightful, but I hate, hate, HATE what the stylist did to her hair. It looks positively fried.

    • lucy2 says:

Yes! For all the hype about everyone else, she’s the one with loads of talent, good personality, and staying power.

  4. jinni says:

There is nothing sexy or cute, let alone vaguely appealing about Anna K.’s photos. Ugh, just ugh.

Her sexy face makes her look like a mouth breather. The really bad, brassy, blonde hair is doing nothing for her. Her hair in general looks bad and in need of a hot oil treatment.

Is she only being considered sexy because she’s not facially conventionally attractive, so it’s okay for her to do the lad mag photo shoot the traditional Hollywood hot girls would get ripped apart for doing?

    • ZigZagZoey says:

I have always kinda hated the color of her hair. It just makes her look even plainer than she is.

  5. Kittypants says:

Zoe always looks like she reeks of patchouli oil and, well, general funkiness. I get unwashed vibes from her.

  6. sirsnarksalot says:

She is exactly what’s wrong with Williamsburg (and Brooklyn in general) these days. Swarming with overprivileged hipsters who have pushed out the working class and destroyed the local culture of the neighborhoods.

    • nicole says:

for the most part those hipsters are working class….they just make more.
ultimately the rising real estate prices are great for the economy, especially for local landowners. low income renters may have to move to lower income neighborhoods though..guess that sucks for them individually but neighborhoods becoming “richer” or whatever is still good for the economy overall. like it or not manhattan is spreading…and that’s a good thing in many ways (economically for example) and bad in others – some people are pushed out who can’t afford to live there. That said, I hate her stupid hipster shorts.

    • Barhey says:

It’s not really the hipsters that are pushing up real estate prices in Brooklyn. Foreign investors, particularly from Europe and Israel, are aggressively buying up apartments (all cash, so locals miss out) and renovating them. It’s considered far more stable than the failing Eurozone that they normally invest in. The same is happening in Berlin, Sydney and stable markets all over the world.

  7. nikzilla37 says:

She is too thin. An extra 10lbs would help.

    • stellalovejoydiver says:

She is playing an anorexic girl in the American version of Vincent will Meer.

      • Littlewood says:

Why does that movie need an American version anyway?

      • Maria says:

I’m glad you said this because I was legit worried.

She’s too thin, at least it’s for a movie, it doesn’t look healthy at all (I could never be an actress, lol)

  8. BooBooLaRue says:

Not to mention the raggedy bangs she cut herself. Ugh.

  9. lisa says:

those dirty suede bowling shoes make me weep for humanity

  10. bettyrose says:

My 16 year old hipster cousin looks just like this, hair and all. Pretty standard.

  11. Hazel says:

    I’m sorry she looks anorexic.

  12. Bronwyn says:

are you kidding me with that hair??
the purple is not the issue…it looks like she is wearing an ill-fitting “Simple Jack” wig…whyyyyyyyy

  13. La jolie now Andrea says:

For once am So glad everyone is seeing through lady Gaga’s antics and bullshit…. This is going too far.. Gaga is going down pretty soon I guess..the fact that her song isn’t topping the chart is one sign.

    • Denise says:

She’s going to have a breakdown. She’s tried everything and is killing herself to dominate yet it’s not nearly enough. I cannot stand her but I also don’t like hoping for the end of someone when I know it will destroy them. I wish she’d just resolve to get respect with good music and be happy with that. We’d all be happier. And the Little Monsters will have to try to think for themselves for the first time. Everyone wins.

    • blaize says:

Pretty pathetic of Gaga, and pathetic of her fans for giving that guy death threats for calling her on it.

I, too, am looking forward to the downfall of Lady Gaga’s career. She’s overrated and her fans have been so, so nasty and cruel to other female artists… just about every female pop star you can name.

  14. Christo says:

Ugh…she has those awkward, Miley Cyrus-like legs, whereby the high-waisted short-shorts hug the inward lines of the inner thigh like youth-centric granny panties.

  15. tifzlan says:

    Elliott Stabler 4eva

  16. DINA says:

shes such a cute lil thing

  17. jen says:

Er Dance Moms premiered in 2011, not sure what that site is talking about.

    Zoe looks….sickly.

    • Nadeni says:

I read that site all the time and they’re just being sarcastic, that’s their humor. Don’t watch the show myself but it must be dragging.

  18. Mika says:

Why is her shoulder in that kind of pose? I know she’s walking when the photos were taken but even then she seems so rigid. So awkward.

    • stinky says:

its cause she dont got the swagger yet.
      shes still just a beybey.
youd think its in her DNA, but she’s human.
she doesnt like being swarmed by paps in a crosswalk most likely.
      they are RUDE & stupid.

  19. Johanna says:

I sighed of relief for Bradley Manning. I was so sure the judge would cave in to the 60 years.

    • Side-Eye says:

The entire Bradley Manning situation makes me sick. The fact that they couldn’t even really prove that he endangered anyone but he had to sit here and apologize “for the hurt he’s caused”, the bringing out and scrutiny of his sexual identity as if it’s has ANYTHING to do with the military murdering civilians, the fact that he was tortured and humiliated for months–and then on top of that getting THIRTY YEARS? I just–I remember reading about his apology and being so upset I couldn’t even cry or rage like I wanted to. And the boy was only what? 23 when this happened? That’s only four years older than me man. I just–I can’t.

    • Johanna says:

I concur 100% but at the end of the day I’m a realist. The way they handled the entire case and Manning himself was unprecedented and because of that fact alone I figured they would throw the book at him during sentencing. Thirty years is not fair in my opinion but he is eligible for parole and should only have to serve 1/3 of his sentencing. I’m hoping in 8+ years things will be different & the world will see him & Snowden as the heroes that they are. Sometimes I feel like their heroism went to waste because I don’t see/hear legitimate outrage from the American people. People just went on as usual, such a pity.

One final thing: please don’t hold that apology against him. He did what he had to do in order to get some kind of leniency in sentencing. After the way he was treated in pre-trial I’m surprised he didn’t break much sooner.

      • Side-Eye says:

*sighs* I know in hindsight it can be considered light, but the thought he’s going to prison and everything will be ignored and just another thing the typical technology obsessed modern American will once more let slip under the rug just distresses me.

      • Kiddo says:

I’m very outraged about the spying. I do look at Snowden as a hero and patriot, in spite of what the government will tell you. As far as Manning, the documents released were very low level classification. I don’t think it really put anyone in danger. However, the government antics of doing bidding for US banks/credit card comapnies in Russia, for one example, should be embarrassing. It demonstrates that big money gets big results in Washington. And that was what this was all about, making Manning an example for letting us see what’s really going on.

  20. lucy2 says:

Rashida Jones’ show sounds pretty good! I’d watch it. I’m sad she’s leaving Parks & Rec, but very happy that she’s doing so much development and writing – Hollywood needs more smart and talented women doing that.

    • Hakura says:

I’m so not a major ‘series’ follower, but even *I’m* intrigued by the idea of this show. Depending on the ‘quality’ of the writing, that premise has potential to be a lot of fun >=3

  21. Side-Eye says:

In lighter news, Henry Cavill is looking adorable, as usual.

  22. Tig says:

Gosh, if she’s gotten this gaunt for a role, I hope they shoot her scenes soon. She looks so unhealthy.

Her physical well being trumps the clothes- hard to come down on that when she looks like a walking bone.

  23. Kiddo says:

Very Olsen-y look going on. She just needs a bigger bag and an old French dude, and maybe more cowbell which never hurts, while we’re at it.

  24. Kiddo says:

For a second I thought you said you had a crush on Elliot Spitzer….whoo, close call there.

  25. Jalee says:

She has a beautiful face and looks cute. Pretty standard Zoe Kravitz clothing. lol The only thing is her hair always looks unkempt.

  26. Gabby says:

First I only liked her because I love both her parents. Then I only liked her for her hot boyfriend. Now that she’s all grown up and dumped Penn, I just… don’t.

  27. Meanchick says:

I see nothing wrong here. Boobs aren’t hanging out, butt cheeks don’t have their own agenda. She is the product of “hippies.” I don’t mean that in a negative way. Is ‘hippie’ an insult? I don’t know. My mom used to call me a hippie as an insult. Anywhoosers, she looks beautiful and a very talented singer. I’m sure if she wanted to be a bigger star based on her parents’, she could have used that to her advantage, but she hasn’t.

  28. Hakura says:

(WARNING – Hakura has had a very bad few days, & as such, is in complete ‘ultra bitch’ mode. Those allergic/sensitive to snark, cynicism, style superiority/criticism should… What are you even doing here? xD)

Re: Zoe – She looks such a *mess* here… Her top is wrinkled all to hell & (visably) dirty (I’m so not trying to be holier than thou. I’ve grabbed something off the floor before…several times…I’m sure everyone has at *some* point, but jeez). The whole ensemble gives off KStew vibes. The shorts are way too short (even if she does have very nice legs), & the bright red lipstick just doesn’t fit. (I’m a makeup enthusiast who even considered going into it, but I’d have a ton to learn, & it’s so damned competitive). The lipstick shade just doesn’t work in this particular case.

But as someone who’s hair is currently purple/dark blue/& has a few green streaks (I kid you not), I can say that the way shes trying to do purple here is just a mess. I had mine *done* by a pro, so it wouldn’t come out looking like *that* (like a middle school ‘wannabe punk’ who tried to do it themselves in their bathroom before their parents got home). I can’t even tell what’s going on with the hairstyle, but its nothing good…

Yes, I just tore her apart. *sigh* I just see the potential to be lovely (& presentable) under that mess. Little things that wouldn’t even be hard or that time consuming. Frustrating.

  29. CleoCat73 says:

She’s young enough to get away with stupid hair. I really want that purse. Anyone know the designer?

  30. Yikes says:

Get that girl a sandwich, STAT!

  31. skuddles says:

I have never understood this girl’s appeal…. I don’t find her even remotely attractive. So strange as both her parents are stunningly beautiful.

  32. Paloma says:

She doesn’t appear any different, except for the purple hair, than any other celebrity.

  33. Kiki says:

After seeing these pictures of Zoe Kravitz, it just leads me to one question that I can’t wrap my head around this girl is… and here it is …….. Michael Fassbender…….. what the hell was he thinking?

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

BOOTY CALL! THAT’S what he was thinking! There is absolutely no way you can tell me that whatever they had was more than sex and mutual fun (non sexy) times. No way. Just the way that they seemed to break up and get back together whenever they were in the same area code. Yeah, bootycall…

I am sad that he and Nicole Behari didn’t work out. He seems like a decent guy and he would’ve had to peel me off his leg before I left him.

  34. Wicked says:

I think she’s trying too hard!

  35. mrsmc says:

I don’t see anything wrong with the way she is dressed especially since this isn’t the first time we seen her dressed like this, this is who she is.

  36. MG says:

Am I the only person that thinks Zoe looks dangerously thin?!?!?

    • Tania says:

I totally agree with you! Apparently it’s for a movie. She basically looks like a dirty, strung out Nicole Richie.

  37. floridaseaturtle says:

    a. What “Thinker” said.
    b. Is she so tiny that she actually needs to carry a bottle size in case the need for refreshment/nourishment/hydration comes calling? Unless it is a bottle of Texas Pete, I would say just guzzle it.
    c. Product placement try-hard? Maybe that is the way to get a new job for endorsing.
    d. She is adorable. But a cheeseburger or two could prove amazing. Just my humble opinion.

  38. Anon says:

Nice try gq…but no Anna Kendrick isn’t sexy…

  39. cubfan34 says:

I don’t think she is remotely attractive, ever.

  40. Nemesis says:

She don’t look normal to me. Kinda weird and crouchy.

  41. stinky says:

am i the only one that thinks she looks just fine in the body dept?
sorry she’s not fat – but she’s not bony either. y’all are being ridiculous.
now the lipstick is ALL wrong for her “look” on this particular day… but it looks like fabulous product, regardless.
    YSL?

  42. neelyo says:

Why would an artist care so much about topping the Billboard charts? Wouldn’t the real reward be in the creative process?

I don’t want Gaga to go down in flames because that would just feed into her role as misunderstood artist, I just want her to go away.

  43. crtb says:

She looks like a zombie in the 2nd picture down

  44. taxi says:

Anna Kendrick is very plain & has never looked attractive imo.

  45. Patty says:

I just don’t get the appeal of Zoe Kravitz. She is nowhere near as talented, charismatic, or good looking as her parents. And there is no way she would have any type of career were her parents not already part of the entertainment industry.
