Emile Hirsch got someone pregnant! Can you believe that? This is according to the NYDN – the paper claims that Emile got some Florida woman pregnant and that he and this woman are not currently dating, but he knows that the kid is his and he plans to “be in the kid’s life.” Maybe it’s because my first real introduction to Emile was not Into the Wild but Milk that I always sort of thought that Emile was either gay or on the more dong-loving side of bisexual. So the idea that he impregnated a woman is… interesting, to me at least.

“Into the Wild” star Emile Hirsch will soon be a daddy. The diminutive actor, 28, who won a Critics’ Choice Award for his role in the Sean Penn directed film, slept with a Florida woman and got her pregnant, multiple sources confirm to Confidenti@l.

“She is five-and-a-half months pregnant now, but they are not dating,” one source tells us. “His friends know about it, he is doing the right thing and will be taking care of her and his baby financially.”

The source adds that Hirsch is happy to take responsibility, even though he and his baby’s mother do not live together.

“He will definitely be in her life and wants to be a part of the baby’s life,” the source says. “He’s told all his friends about it and it’s fine. He plans to be in the kid’s life.”

It is not clear if Hirsch knows if he will be having a boy or a girl. Another insider explains to us that the Hirsch and the woman were at one time in a relationship and are now “trying to figure out what they’re going through.”

“They’re friends and they’re young and they’re figuring it out,” says the insider.

The actor, who lives in Venice, Calif., will be flying out to visit the woman shortly, we’re told, to check up on her and make plans for visitation rights with the baby, due in February. Since both parties are cooperating and friendly, lawyers have not gotten involved in negotiations.

Hirsch just wrapped the action flick “Lone Survivor,” which is based on the failed 2005 mission “Operation Red Wings” during which SEAL Team 10 attempted to kill Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd. This year he also filmed a “Bonnie and Clyde,” miniseries for Lifetime, in which he plays Clyde for two episodes, and wrapped “Prince Avalanche,” about road workers on a summer break in the ’80’s.

This doesn’t sound as sketchy as Jude Law’s situation with Samantha Burke, Law’s one-night-stand turned baby mama to his daughter Sophia. It sounds like Emile actually did have some kind of relationship/friendship with this woman although they are not “together” right now. It also sounds like Emile is not being a douche about this situation at all and he’s actually kind of excited to be a dad. If he’s figured everything out and the lady is fine with it, I might actually have to think that Emile Hirsch is a cooler dude that I originally thought? I got the impression that he was a mini-James Franco, but now I kind of think… Emile might be cooler than Franco? How is that possible? Also, if your goal as a lady is to get knocked up by someone famous so you can get that $$$, then being impregnated by Emile Hirsch is a Golddigger Fail. He pretty much only does independent movies!
