    mehhhhh

  2. Marty says:

I thought she didn’t want to be “sexualized” anymore?

  3. Dawn says:

When she wants to be she can be. But I think there are lots of sexy women out there of all ages. But then again, what do I know!

  4. Tish says:

Oh Natalie “Pouty Lips” Dormer is featured too!

  5. Jayna says:

She’s looking really hot these days. I think it’s a good choice. One actress that didn’t fall prey to that bobblehead look they get when hitting it big. Healthy body image. She looked fanastic on Jimmy Fallon a few weeks ago and she looked sexy without a skanky dress on. I actually loved her dress. I love her hair color on her, also.

  6. Cecilia says:

Good choice. She is delicious looking — not all hard body & fake boobs.

  7. frisbeejada says:

Ryan Gosling didnt get to be People’s ‘sexiest man’ because he wouldnt do the interview and special photoshoot, according to an ex-employee of People magazine, so the job went to Bradley Cooper (ahem) instead. Maybe publicists/agents have arrangements with all these magazines. I have nothing against her but I really have never seen where she is a serious looker or even a particularly good actress, but that’s just my opinion

    • missy says:

Right. It’s to promote her movies.

    • V4Real says:

You’re right when you speak of the special arrangements made by publicists and what have you. Think back to this years People’s most beautiful woman in the world. It went to Gwen Paltrow.

Although I have no issue with Johanson, sexy doesn’t always equate to beautiful. Some people may not be a typical beauty but they have sex appeal which I think Scarjo has.

    • Green Girl says:

I am not surprised that the title went to “runner-up.” These sexiest/beautiful titles are a great way for an actor to get good publicity, especially if it’s right before a big film opens.

I am really curious to see if Benedict Cumberbatch will get on the list this year. He has a ton of stuff coming out before year-end, so it will be interesting to see.

      • frisbeejada says:

Yep, you are probably right about that, although I hope he doesn’t go that route, he’s a really good actor and he doesn’t need to, he does have talent he can rely on without resorting to this c*ap…

      • Green Girl says:

As I understand it, doing publicity is part of an actor’s job when they take on a prominent movie role. While appearing on talk shows can help bring publicity to a film, I’m sure it’s also tedious and a ton of work, especially if the actors on a project have to travel all over the world.

  8. tifzlan says:

I always forget that Eminem has a daughter, and i think it was a right decision on his part to raise her completely and totally out of the spotlight aside from a couple of name drops here and there in his songs. She’s pretty!

    • Brooke says:

in a fake sort of way

      • ag says:

She’s 17, what on earth is wrong with you. She’s not Kim K, she hasn’t set out to make money off her looks or image, there is no need to try and tear her down.

      • pantalones en fuego says:

I don’t think that she looks fake at all. She looks like a completely normal teenage girl. Good for her that she’s been able to live out her high school years outside of the spotlight.

    • mom2two says:

I always think of her as a little girl from the songs, can’t believe she’s 17 and she grew up to be a very pretty girl. I give Eminem and her mother much respect for raising her out of the spotlight.

    • V4Real says:

Wow she grew up. I remember pics of her when she was less than 8. What a beautiful girl.

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I can’t believe she lives in Michigan.

This past summer, there was a rumor going around that Eminem was two streets away from my house, in the local bar, drinking with all the local drunks (on that particular street, there are no less than THREE bars in a row–and they are always full, no matter the time of day), and everyone was freaking out.

Apparently he was up here looking at schools for Hailie–but I guess it wasn’t true–the only school he’d be looking at up where I live is Michigan Tech–does she want to be an engineer?

  9. Ncboudicca says:

I don’t get the cover photo at all. That’s sexy?

  10. Pia says:

“The women, restaurants, and cars we love”

…and people still wonder why some men don’t see the need to talk about women like they are actually people?

Whenever I see pictures of my mother-in-law when she was a young woman in Germany, I can’t help but see a strong resemblance to Scarlett Johansson.

    • Claudia says:

Yeah, that bothered me too… it’s very much “lets list the OBJECTS we love! I like my car, I like lasagna, I like this one chick that gives great **?**, I like this watch…”

Whenever magazines have “Sexiest Man Alive” lists, they don’t have the guys posing shirtless and/or pantless. Note the bed in the background. Sigh…

    • O'Angie says:

Agree. Plus, I get a sexual-assault-in-progress vibe off the photo. Uncomfortably sitting on a bed, skirt awkwardly pushed up, knees pressed together, nervously picking at her nails with a dead stare. Scarjo is very pretty, and this is the photo they chose? Weird.

  11. Laura says:

Yes! I’ve loved her for years & she looks so hot still.

  12. missy says:

Most overrated beauty in the business. She’s okay. I think Charlize Theron is a hotter version.

  13. Jen says:

Scarlett is sooooooo boring. i don’t find that sexy at all.

  14. Crabcake says:

Well that makes me feel better about myself. I think she’s rather average.

  15. doofus says:

oh, some good BI reveals over on CDAN…

    • Kim1 says:

I can’t believe people still believe this BS. Enty is a liar BIs are made up.

      • Cecilia says:

I’m not so sure about that, Kim1.

      • doofus says:

        a. How do you know he’s a liar and they’re all made up?

        b. why does he not get sued if, with the reveals, he’s making claims of “fact” that aren’t actually true?

I ask these as legitimate questions, because I have no such knowledge.

I would imagine that some of the subjects of the reveals have quite a bit of money to take him to court if what he’s saying about infidelities, celebs having sex for money, etc. are not true.

he claimed Lohan was one of the ladies having sex for money/gifts…you know how sue-happy the Lohan clan is…why isn’t one of them suing him about this claim?

      • FingerBinger says:

@Doofus I actually agree with Kim1. 90% of the blind items are made up. Anyone of us could make up a blind item. You take a celebrity, say something that’s plausible and voila, you have a blind item. I read blind items and think that they are funny, but you have to take them with a grain of salt.

      • nico says:

        @Doofus

This might help explain why celebs don’t sue. It’s actually very difficult to successfully sue in these cases. EL also has a disclaimer on his site for legal reasons. The following link has more information on the legal aspects.

“A public figure must show “actual malice”—that you published with either knowledge of falsity or in reckless disregard for the truth. This is a difficult standard for a plaintiff to meet.”
        https://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation

      • nico says:

        More info for doofus.

In a legal sense, “actual malice” has nothing to do with ill will or disliking someone and wishing him harm. Rather, courts have defined “actual malice” in the defamation context as publishing a statement while either

knowing that it is false; or

acting with reckless disregard for the statement’s truth or falsity.
It should be noted that the actual malice standard focuses on the defendant’s actual state of mind at the time of publication. Unlike the negligence standard discussed later in this section, the actual malice standard is not measured by what a reasonable person would have published or investigated prior to publication. Instead, the plaintiff must produce clear and convincing evidence that the defendant actually knew the information was false or entertained serious doubts as to the truth of his publication. In making this determination, a court will look for evidence of the defendant’s state of mind at the time of publication and will likely examine the steps he took in researching, editing, and fact checking his work. It is generally not sufficient, however, for a plaintiff to merely show that the defendant didn’t like her, failed to contact her for comment, knew she had denied the information, relied on a single biased source, or failed to correct the statement after publication.

Not surprisingly, this is a very difficult standard for a plaintiff to establish. Indeed, in only a handful of cases over the last decades have plaintiffs been successful in establishing the requisite actual malice to prove defamation.

      • doofus says:

nico, while I appreciate the article (Post one was interesting), that is not definitive proof that what the guy writes isn’t true. but it IS a point against him, to be sure. also, while suing someone for libel/slander is difficult, it’s not impossible. and in some of these cases, I’d say it’s also totally worth the money spent to try to clear your name.

        thanks for the info!

ETA: to fingerbinger…while I agree that probably a LOT of blinds are made up, I wouldn’t think you could get away with a “reveal” that easily… that is, claiming, outright, that a particular celeb acted as a girl-for-hire (to put it nicely)…I would think that anyone that was falsely accused of acting as a prosty would sue that person for claiming it. and one of them is a claim that Denzel W has a “second” family that he supports; a couple of kids from an extra-marital relationship…if that wasn’t true, surely Denzel would be able to successfully sue?

      • magpie says:

Enty is a liar and that whole Hmmm thing was total BS. It was a shame because I believe some of what they were saying about pedos and child abuse in hwood is totally true, but they discredited themselves by trying to look like RDJ.

It’s like someone above said, I think he just takes rumors that are already out there and passes them off as truth. I’m sure some are true (because sometimes rumors are true), but he is not a reliable “inside” source by any means.

      • Kim1 says:

They don’t sue for the same reason celebs don’t sue US tabloids. It is almost impossible to prove malice also to substantiate damages from some blog or gossip site’s accusations.Actually there are other gossip sites like MTO or HSK Hollywood Street King that post far more damaging stories about celebs.CDAN stuff is mild in comparison. These people aren’t journalists and couldn’t care less about the truth.

      • lucy2 says:

I enjoy reading the CDAN blinds and trying to guess who they’re about – I don’t take it seriously. But my guess is that while most are made up or very exaggerated, there have been a few that have turned out to be true.

    • Dawn says:

He has also revealed blinds concerning KK having sex with men as well as we all know how they love to sue as well. Nope I don’t believe for a minute that Enty is full of BS.

  16. Monkey Towz says:

My friend saw her in a play last year & said she was built like a brick house (guy speak for super curvy I guess). Anyway, I would trade my mile long legs & small boobage for that body in a heartbeat. Every straight guy I know loves her & tho I’m not a super fan, she always looks fantastic imho.

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I’m curvy and it hasn’t done a damn thing for me but force me to spend a mint on bras.

  17. ZAK says:

Scar jo is hot and sexy so I don’t mind. Somebody like Emma Watson is neither hot or sexy. She is a cute girl and that’s it. Harry Potter fans must have taken over that Empire list.

  18. ALG says:

I think lists like this are really …stupid. For lack of a better word. Also, I’m really liking that shade of blonde on Scarlett.

  19. Guest says:

    Very pretty indeed. Scarlett is.

  20. miriam says:

I think that Scarlett is a good choice. She’s a proper woman, with curves and sensuality. She’s not some skinny clothes hanger. Also, she can be a blonde bombshell without being an airhead.

  21. Insomniac says:

Oh man … I love Matt Smith, but as Patrick Bateman? I can’t picture that at all.

  22. moon says:

    Meh, she’s so photoshopped.

  23. magpie says:

I think Scar’s like a fine wine…she’s getting better with age.

  24. magpie says:

Good for Em for letting his daughter have a normal upbringing. She looks so much like him.

  25. serena says:

    Well, Scarlett deserves it.

  26. Happy21 says:

She looks better here than she ever has. Her face though to me looks somewhat different. Not saying that she’s had more surgery but I can’t pinpoint it because usually I look at her face and see unattractive. I don’t see this here!

  27. nordicgoddess says:

ladies and gentlemen for your consideration scarjo’s real legs:

    http://moviepilot.com/#stories/583216-scarlett-johansson-and-her-legs-are-in-paris

    • Kiddo says:

It’s a shame they “shopped” ’em. She has nice legs with muscle tone, but they made her into a gazelle instead.

  28. Naddie says:

Damn, she’s the hottest celebrity around, I’d hit it all the way (and I’m straight).

  29. anais says:

well, I don’t think she’s all that hot. but at least she ain’t scrawny. good for her.

  30. Trillion says:

I kind of can’t believe she beat that Emily person from the Blurred Lines video. But maybe she’s just not famous enough for the title.

  31. Lubyanka says:

I’ve been trying to figure out who ScarJo looked like in those Don Jon promos, but the last picture here settles it for me. She’s slowly morphing into a (for me anyway) less interesting Debi Mazar.

  32. Meanchick says:

She is beautiful, so why pose ass-almost-out?

  33. Anna Scott says:

I just finished watching “Match Point” and Scarlett is incredibly sexy in it. Good for her for being named the sexiest woman. She deserves it

  34. Norman says:

I thought making Scarlett Johansson the hottest woman alive for the second time was a great choice. I think she is very hot and also talented. Esquire has way better taste than Maxim selecting Miley Cyrus with her cockatoo haircut and bizarre behavior for first place. Congrats to ScarJo on being the hottest woman alive.

  35. jojo says:

This has nothing to do with being the sexiest person around. Its a PR stunt based on who has movies that are coming out, which actresses they want to tout as the next up-n-coming a-list star, and which reps can pay the most to the mags to get their client some positive publicity.

She’s cute, in a homely way. But there are many more ‘sexier’ actresses running around hollywood, and about 2 normal women on every street in every city that has more sex appeal than this actress.

  36. Yelly says:

Oh god that hideous apron dress she wore to the Don Jon premiere. She is really gorgeous though.
