We haven’t talked about Robert Pattinson and his new girlfriend Dylan Penn in a while. That happened a few weeks ago – People Mag and Us Weekly got the tip that Sparkles was/is with Sean Penn and Robin Wright’s 22-year-old daughter Dylan. I guess they’ve sort of been hanging out/seeing each other for maybe a month or so, although there is totally not enough Twihard Proof confirming the relationship. Twihards need to see the receipts. Or at the very least a sex tape. But maybe the Twihards won’t have to Twihard-Proof this relationship after all. Us Weekly/Hollywood Life reports this week that Dylan is sort of over it. She doesn’t want to be famous for dating Sparkles. Huh.
Robert Pattinson might be a single guy very soon. The 27-year-old actor has been dating model Dylan Penn, whose parents are A-list actors, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn. But even though she comes from Hollywood royalty, the gorgeous blonde is reportedly having reservations over dating R-Patz.
The lovebirds who have only just recently started dating, might already be calling it quits! The 22-year-old stunner is starting to feel as though she’ll lose her privacy if she dates the Twilight star, according to Us Weekly.
“She doesn’t want to be known as Rob’s girlfriend,” the source says. “She’s afraid to get serious with him and lose her privacy.”
You might be wondering how this makes Rob feel and it turns out he’s not too worried about it.
“Rob isn’t ready to be exclusive with anyone right now,” an insider says. “He’s just enjoying himself.”
Yeah, I think Rob is going to disappoint a lot of people either way. I think – nay, I HOPE – he’s enjoying his new-found freedom and he’s not ready to settle down in another serious relationship right away. So, this thing with Dylan might not be all that serious on either side (although I do wonder why Dylan thinks this relationship would hurt her rep – it’s Sparkles, not Kellan Lutz, you know?). But what I find interesting is that Rob definitely wants us to think that Dylan is his official girlfriend. I believe that it was Rob or his team basically giving People and Us Weekly the go-ahead on the Dylan Penn stories. So what’s he hiding? How many ladies is Sparkles currently banging?

I never thought it was anything serious. Especially since no one has seen him with her except for a blurry picture taken more than a month ago.

Dylan Penn is really beautiful… She looks a lot like her mom. I don’t believe he will ever be happy without Kristen in his life. She’s the one he loves?

I do agree with the poster who said he needs to get out of LA. Plenty of british actors get jobs without being there all the time. He might not be such a Hot tabloid topic if he took a break from the chateau marmont.
This is to Krissy- I think that is exactly why he keeps it shorter, tho at 27, anyone starts looking older regardless.
I would love to see a return to the longer hair, like it was during the Cosmopolis promo. As far as his dating life, any bets he gets linked to Miley? LOL
I don’t know, US Weekly has been pretty sketchy about him since he and Kristen split. Just a few weeks ago they were swearing up and down that he was banging Riley Keough – even though she’d been photographed with Alex Pettyfer, and was still hanging out with KStew’s pals. Before that the tabs tried to get him with Katy Perry, and that was clearly bogus. So I think I can see why people would want more receipts than a “source” saying he’s with Dylan. If the guy enters the same space as a female, the tabs immediately try to create a story about it. Look at what happened with the girl that was his trainer.
Whatever – or whoever- he’s doing, he seems pretty intent on keeping it quiet for the time being. Can’t say I blame him.

I couldn’t agree with you more.
Other than one blurry picture of Rob at the Viper Room talking to two women, one of which is supposedly Dylan, there has been no other pictures or even sightings of them together. And it’s not like Rob hasn’t been seen out and about lately at various LA nightspots and concert venues. He’s been seen and papped with alot of women and male friends since the People story…but not once with Dylan.
US Weekly is still insisting that Rob and Riley were dating and were serious about eachother this past summer even though Riley and her PR person denied it numerous times. Like Katy Perry, she got back with her ex over the summer and continues to have ties with Kristen Stewart’s tight circle of friends. I think a very convincing fake “source” is playing with People and US Weekly. Rob has never responded to romance rumors or accusations ever even when he was dating and living with Kristen. I doubt he is going to start now.
That was bizarre, the Riley thing…she was super adamant in denying it and was with Alex P but tabs kept going on that angle..my guess is they were milking the hits out of the remaining crazy Twi-hards. As for this girl, dude is probably dating around like that People article said, including her.

So Rob confirms he is dating Dylan to people magazine which is pretty reliable but Dylan Is hesitant to be in a relationship with him? Sounds like he was more confident about their budding relationship than she was. If he was dating around, why talk to people mag? Seems out of character for him.
I don’t believe he ok’ed any of this with People magazine. He is not “insisting” he is dating her, that’s a giant leap, Celebitchy. Not to mention People backtracked a bit and quoted a different source in their print edition – oh they aren’t really really dating, he’s just enjoying the single life. That’s says to me no one credible is talking and they have 2 sources saying 2 different things (neither one being an official source).
I think Rob will continue his policy of not commenting on his personal life. I think he is dating around, and he and Dylan probably did see each other but nothing serious.
This is the perfect example of why Rob avoids being photographed – no picture no story. But one picture of them sitting next to each other, suddenly he’s crazy about her. Or the photo of him with the personal trainer – how many stories were generated from that?
Exactly. People is not as “reliable” (for a tabloid) as they used to be. There are a number of things they’ve gotten wrong recently.
It was also funny that E! online was insisting that Pattinson and Penn were not in a relationship.
If Robert wanted to confirm a relationship, he’d be photographed with her in public, looking like they were on a date. That’s all it would take.
@anotherann I didn’t realize people mag had a crappy track record. The Robsessed must be devastated. He was finally linked to a female they approved of. Guess they will have to return the wedding gifts they purchased! I think it is very interesting that gossip cop never weighed in on the situation since that site heavily promoted all types of Rob news over the past few years. They covered the Dior promo and interviews heavily and now “crickets”
