Kim Kardashian posted this ^^ photo on her Instagram today. I guess we’re supposed to think, “OMG, Kim is just like Elizabeth Taylor!” Elizabeth was married like eight or nine times, and Kim has been married twice. Elizabeth received some of the most famous jewelry in the world – Kim has received a few nice pieces from Lorraine Schwartz. Elizabeth was an Oscar-winning actress at the top of her game for decades, who then devoted herself to decades of activism and HIV/AIDS causes. Kim… has a reality show. Elizabeth was the height of scandal, controversy, public sympathy and media attention. Kim… just starred in “Bound 2”.
To be fair to Kim (I guess), she did meet Elizabeth back in 2011. Elizabeth invited Kim into her home and Kim interviewed Elizabeth for Harper’s Bazaar. I think Elizabeth sort of liked her. Which is nice and I would be dining out on that if it was me, but let’s be clear – just because Elizabeth was nice to Kim, that doesn’t give Kim any right to actively pursue the comparisons. Just the fact that Kim is trying to act like her Lorraine Schwartz diamond from Yeezus is somehow the same as The Krupp Diamond is flat-out blasphemous.

I think Kim and Kanye wanted to move in next year, but it looks like the place has been totally gutted. It’s probably going to be a while until they move in. Where are they even staying nowadays? Yeah, I also have to disagree on this one. There are numerous first hand accounts of people meeting Liz and being floored by her beauty in person. She was an exceptionally beautiful child as well and her eyes were an amazing color.

I think it was LAK who said a few posts ago that she loved how Charles absolutely showered Camilla in jewels. I saw her wedding ring–I am jealous! It reminds me a lot of AJ’s engagement ring–I guess that’s what they were going for. But I sort of didn’t like Charles because I hadn’t really heard the whole story between him, Camilla, and Diana–and also didn’t know that Diana wasn’t as innocent or heart broken as people made her out to be. For all the talk of their house, I’m a bit underwhelmed seeing the photos. And with all the tacky crap they’re going to pile into it, no way they’re moving in soon. If ever.

I have also wondered about her face. At first I thought she had a lower facelift because her face is so much narrower. I now have the opinion that she lost quite a bit of weight after the baby, making her face unnaturally thin. This feature, coupled with the puffed up lips, makes her face look a little horsey – like Elizabeth Hurley. Or like a fish. Elizabeth Taylor – not even close to Kim. Elizabeth was a natural beauty and her nose was perfect, her heart shaped face her own. She was also very pale skinned and curvaceous but petite. Kim is a distortion in both face and body.

Kim and Kanye moved out of PMK’s house a week after North’s birth. They rented a house back then and were gonna stay there until construction was complete.
There were tons of articles of it back in june. Most of them regarding Kanye’s obsession with security and how they finally found a rented house that matched his requirements.
I think they are still in PMK’s house. That was the last I read and it was later than June when I read it.
That is not true they were living with Kris several weeks after baby was born Kris talked about it on Ross Matthews Show.

I have a copy of the Harper’s Baazar you’ve mentioned. Kim tried to interview Taylor and failed. She does a photospread which is an homage to ET as CLEOPATRA. Taylor was having none of it. A separate interviewer obtained some quotes from ET about Kim which were neutral at best.

Nina, for real the only episodes I’ve seen were first a couple of the first or second season, to see what all the hype was about, but I thought they were boring, the show seemed too fake and they were all too whiny (yes except Khloe) and materialistic (but so is basically everybody I know, poor or not). As a fan of Elizabeth Taylor, I’m not particularly offended by this picture. How many women try to emulate Old Hollywood actresses like Elizabeth, Audrey, Marilyn? I get that Kim is a special case of annoying and egotistical, but I’m struggling to have more distain for this particular picture than *any* of her instagrams.

I just notice that women that are truly beautiful. (the real meaning of that word, because it gets applied to everyone) are not posting self photos of themselves. They are not always talking about their looks or superficial things. They are Beautiful women in the true meaning of that word; and don’t need assurance.
Kim is not one of those women.
I don’t recall Elizabeth Taylor ever allowing herself to be peed on while being filmed.

I know it has been mentioned on this website before that Kim had never really given to charities or charity causes. Now Kanye seems to have taken her to a couple of things lately and it seems in a bid to become a “Socialite” (that word has started being used to describe her) instead of “Celebrity” (which is still a stretch since “porn star” seems more accurate). Anyone else notice the PR machine running super high? Ugh. That’s not even addressing comparing herself to Elizabeth Taylor who had talent and beauty! A new ring of hell folks.
