Brangelina’s next move: Brazil?

spl75718_010
Even though it’s pretty well documented that Brangelina’s next move will be to Long Island, where Angelina will film Salt, some reports are coming out that the family will be heading to South America. Brazil, to be exact.

Brad Pitt has signed on to do a film called The Lost City of Z, a film that, according to Coming Soon, is about “the search for a lost city in the Amazon, with Brad Pitt to produce the feature adaptation through his Plan B as a potential starring vehicle… [it] concerns British explorer Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett, who was attempting to find the so-called City of Z when he and his party disappeared in 1925. Over the next 70 years, scores of explorers tried and failed to retrace Fawcett’s path, including a 1996 expedition of Brazilian adventurers. Pitt would play Fawcett.”

Globetrotting Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are now upping sticks and moving to Brazil.

With homes all over the world, trips to the Far East and Africa and twins Knox and Micheline born in France, the entire multiracial Brangelina brood are off to South America.

The mum-of-six has been urging Brad to do a film in the region ever since she spent Christmas 2007 in Costa Rica visiting refugees. The Changeling actress, 33, feels she’s had too little input into the continent after becoming a UNHCR goodwill ambassador eight years ago. Now she wants to go back to do much more charity work.

A source tells us: “Brad didn’t need too much convincing as he wants to be known as a movie adventurer like Harrison Ford. So the family will be in Brazil in spring for his film The Lost City of Z.

He’ll play British Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett, who disappeared in 1925.”

From The Daily Mirror

It’s completely possible that their next move could be to Brazil, or it could be that first they’ll go to Long Island, then Brazil. Perhaps Brad and Angelina really are trying to one-up Tom Cruise’s Brazilian vacation?

why would you consider that a credible report, when they can’t even get the babies name correct? They refer to Vivienne Marcheline as “Micheline” ?

  2. Chiara says:

A public appearance and photo shoot is not charity work. Peace corps, Red Cross, Doctor’s without Borders, those who do the work deserve the credit.

  3. Mairead says:

    Jesus wept.

  4. geronimo says:

Ditto Mairead’s Jesus wept and adding a Sweet Mother of God NO!!! British accent and Brad Pitt do not belong in the same sentence.

  5. Orangejulius says:

That was the first thing that popped into my head too. How on earth is he going to manage an English accent? Oh, well, Benjamin Button was wonderful….

  6. Ned says:

“Perhaps Brad and Angelina really are trying to one-up Tom Cruise’s Brazilian vacation?”

Brangelina can’t stand it when TomKat get more attention in some part of the world.

They can’t control their need for attention. At least Angelina can’t.

  7. Ned says:

“A public appearance and photo shoot is not charity work”

    Couldn’t have said it better.

  8. vdantev says:

Good freakin’ gravy. What barb, what whip is at her back that drives her to keep her feet moving ? What is she running from ?

  9. PJ says:

“The Changeling actress, 33, feels she’s had too little input into the continent…”

Say what? I was ROFL until it occurred to me that maybe they weren’t kidding. If it’s true, AJ is taking herself MUCH too seriously!

  10. Lmao says:

Benjamin Button sucked. Brad Pitt can’t act. If Angie wants to go to Brazil it’s probably for the same reason Madge went to Brazil. HELLO! have you seen her hunk? Yeah, I’m sure Angie would love her suma’that. Too bad she’s stuck with white bread Pitt.

  11. so what says:

I wish they would go anywhere, and stay put for a while..Im really sick of the two of them..and the poster above who said she takes herself to seriously, was spot on.

  12. Oh Please! says:

The Daily Mirror is full of it! They can’t begin filming The Lost City of Z anytime soon because…THERE’S NO SCRIPT FOR THE MOVIE!!! Brad’s Plan be just bought the option on the movie 6 months ago and signed a writer/director – James Gray – to oversee the project. Why can’t these stupid British tabs ever read the Hollywood trade publications Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. If they did maybe they could actually get a story right every 10 years or so!

  13. bros says:

he had a fine accent when he played a a pikey (sp) in Snatch, didn’t he? i kind of enjoy his accents. angie’s the one who sucks at accents.

  14. Oh Please! says:

LMAO – If you thought Benjamin Button “sucked” then I suggest you stick to watching your usual porno flix and leave serious movies to sentient adults who appreciate good storytelling and heartfelt acting. Movies with dialog other than grunting and “Harder” or “Spank me big boy” or “faster, faster” are NOT your strong suit.

  15. meloroast says:

i wish people knew more about geography than celebs…costa rica is NOT in south america. it is in CENTRAL america. two very different places.

  16. Jeff says:

Benjamin Buttons was a good movie. Ned when did Angelina tell you “she can’t stand when TomKat get more attention” comments like that tell us the triangle will go forever long as you have people so willing to lie on B/A.
I don’t think Angelina or Brad care about how much more attention another couple got garbage with all the precious kids they have to take care of.

  17. geronimo says:

Bros – no, that was brilliant (and brilliantly funny), but that was a pastiche of an Irish traveller (gypsy) accent and really was almost indecipherable. Hilarious but indecipherable.

But have you heard him in Troy?? Now that was dire.

  18. kap says:

My understanding of her work for the UN is to visit these places & write a report about what is needed (more tents, more food & water, more medicine, etc.) Her advocacy helps pinpoint funds to where they’ll be needed most, & makes it harder for locals to rip off the UN. That is certainly worthwhile and I give her credit for going to very dangerous places. She’s spoken in the past about wanting to go to refugee camps in S.American (and C.America), as most of her time’s been spent in Africa & Asia. It amazes me that people can find fault in these actions.

  19. Ned says:

Jeff their actions speak for themselves.

These poor babies are being dragged from one flight to another.

Brangelina’s main concern doesn’t seem to be the stable development of their children (especialy their babies) and their well being, but rather more photo ops opportunities, endless promotions for their movies and their campaign for award shows.

Brad just claimed that “he wants to be remembered as…” and Angelina is worried that “she hasn’t had enough input” into a certain place.

It’s all about fame and how they are remembered and perceived.

Not about their children and what is best for them.

I think it’s quite clear that having such yound babies on so many flights instead of raising them at home with normal hours and routines of sleep and food, is not having your priorities straight.

  20. patricia says:

P.S. Tom Cruise couldn’t manage to have a GERMAN accent in Valkyrie with he was playing A GERMAN OFFICER!!! Hello??? Now what is this about Pitt and accents??? LOL LOL

  21. geronimo says:

Kaiser – is this a new tactic, providing readymade ammunition for the Neds of this world to encourage them to try and find a new J-P angle – Brazilian oneupmanship – and save the rest of us from the endless, groundhog day-like recitation of their many and varied ‘crimes’ against humanity? Like distracting a small child with something sparkly?

  22. Kaiser says:

Exactly, Geronimo. Plus, I thought it was interesting… “Oh Please” is probably right, this film isn’t near production. But when it is, The Brange might be moving to Brazil. Can you imagine? Empress Z at Carnivale? Fantastic!

  23. Rosanna says:

Am I the only one who is envious of the wonderful life and opportunities to get an open mind that those kids have? Wish my parents were as rich and especially as smart as BP and AJ. There is no best way to raise a kid than showing him/her how the *real* world is.

  24. NotBlonde says:

Why do we care that they are moving again?

  25. Babs says:

All you zombies who think it would be neat-o to travel all the time and never have a home are thinking like adults who never went anywhere, not children who have never had a moment’s structure or experienced a real home.

These two are a couple of losers, and within five years Angelina Jolie will drop Brad like a hot potato and embrace the “cougar” moniker as she tries desperately to stay relevant by hooking up with some yung stuff.

They CAN’T adopt in the US because she is too high-risk, so they continue breeding and collecting their Dolls of the World. Those kids look miserable in almost every photo, and as teenagers will give those two congenital morons exactly what they are earning now– heartache, grief and complete disinterest.

  26. Mairead says:

varied ‘crimes’ against humanity? What sort of a tone of voice is that to take? They allegedly had an affair and made a certain someone with lovely hair cry! What more heinous crime is there? Sure, Pol Pot had nothing on these buckos!

I agree – Brad Pitt’s forte is comedy or light drama. His physique in Troy did nothing for me, so I thought that he was totally miscast in Troy – especially as others did a really good job (“Our” Brendan, Eric Bana and Sean Bean as a perfect Odysseus).

As for Snatch, I couldn’t be bothered trying to sit through it, but I’ll give it a go sometime on your say-so. It took my cousin and me ages to figure out that it was meant to be a Traveller accent.
(on a related note, have a look out for Kathryn Lynch’s Singin’ Bernie Walsh, on youtube, it’s a feckin’ riot. )

I just cannot see him pulling off the accent of a Boer War/ World War 1-era officer from Cornwall (yes I used wikipedia and I don’t care)

    lol!!!

  28. louiseb says:

Yes, it has been announced on IMDB so it is ‘in production.’ I would not want either of these gas bags in my movies as tehy sap resources (who wants to pay for their chateau and helicopter transportation everywhere). I cannot imagine the return on investment is working anymore (ala kidman).

  29. heima says:

I hope that the next blog post’s title will be something like “Brangelina’s next move? Mars!”…
And most I’d like to read that it is true.

  30. heima says:

ps: in Brazil plastic surgery is cheaper.

  31. boomchakaboom says:

I’m good if they would just go somewhere already, and skip the bazillion photo-ops the whole time. They really need to give us OUR SPACE for a bit.

dvantev: I’m wondering the same thing.

  32. vdantev says:

St. Ned at it again ? Ned must really love children, he seems so concerned for them. I mean really REALLY love children he spends so much time worrying and obsessing over their welfare. He must truly deeply LOVE children.

  33. DD says:

Ned there is a forum on femalefirst where you could post all of the brange’s crimes over and over again and they will all cry with glee and take out their voodoo dolls of Angie and ferociously stick pins in it. And with each stab they will feel closer to saving humanity from the evil that the Brange have rained down upon us.
    Whew… I think I need a beer.

  34. DD says:

Okay now that I’m having my beer. As delusional as this might sound… Brange if you are reading this, I speak portuguese. If you take me with you I can be your translator. I will even babysit for free 🙂

  35. Jane says:

And Vdantev we all know that you, a 40+ man. loves to diss kids like Madonna’s daughter MC, etc.

  36. cheetahstripes says:

Sure they can move to Brazil, as long as there is some kind of clause stating Brazil gets to KEEP them!

  37. Codzilla says:

    PJ: Lol! So true.

  38. tim says:

It’s not the first time that they come to brazil, they have allready been spotted in Trancoso and Arraial d’Ajuda, both hip beach towns in Bahia – Brazil
