Even though there’s a whiff of douche whenever Jude Law’s name is mentioned, I still kind of like the guy. I remember when he was hot stuff, and he really is a talented actor – an actor who squandered his talents on a few really bad movies, but what actor hasn’t done that?

As an admirer of Jude’s general prettiness for years, I often wondered what he would look like as a woman, or if Jude was somehow meant to be a woman. His features are so fine and delicate, I assumed he would be a lovely woman. Turns out, I was totally wrong. Jude is not all that pretty as a woman.

Jude’s playing a transvestite in his new film, Rage, which will be premiering at the Berlin Film Festival next week. A photo of Jude as transvestite “Lettace Leaf” (off-topic: Worst. Drag. Name. Ever.) was just released, and it is not good. The Daily Mirror has more details.

Set for a UK release later this year, the film is a murder-mystery, set in New York, which explores the concept of celebrity and making profit from beauty.

Directed by Sally Potter, Rage will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival this month where it has been nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear award.

Perhaps the problem is the wig. Jude’s coloring is very fair, and he looks his best when he’s some shade of blond. The black wig does nothing for him, but perhaps that’s how the character was written. This Rage sounds pretty good though. But nothing beats the best transvestite drama ever, Flawless. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is perhaps the most fascinating transvestite ever.
