Radar has a new story about Sandra Bullock that doesn’t ring true to me. They claim that Sandra is mortified about running into Ryan Gosling during awards season “because he really broke her heart years ago.” Sandra and Ryan dated around 2002 – 2003, which made Ryan just 23 while Sandra was 39. That’s why this story seems fake to me. Is Sandra really still hung up on a guy she dated 10 years ago who was so much younger than her at the time? She seems much more practical than that. Here’s the story from Radar:
The Oscar winner is nominated again for best actress but “is nervous about coming face-to-face with Ryan this awards season because he really broke her heart years ago,” a source close to the actress told Radar.
Bullock, 49, and Gosling, 33, had a brief romance from 2002-2003 after they met while co-starring in the movie Murder by Numbers.

And now, girl next door Sandy, who divorced husband Jesse James in 2010 after he cheated on her, fears having to re-live another bad breakup by running into Ryan.
Making matters worse, sources say Gosling is taking a break from his current girlfriend, Eva Mendes.
“Sandra is totally mortified about being around Ryan, even though she’s the one who helped launch his career more than ten years ago,” the source said.
“It’s crazy, but the fact that he and Eva are taking a break from their romance has Sandy nervous. With everything she’s been through with men, the last thing she needs is to have all that brought up again.”
So, as the Academy Awards ceremony approaches, “Sandra has her fingers crossed that Ryan is a no-show on Oscar night, even though everyone on her team has told her to relax and that no one can even remember their romance,” the source concluded.
“Everyone’s moved on, but Sandy’s the type to take things really to heart. If anyone hurts her, it’s very hard for her to forgive and forget.”
If Sandra is afraid of running into anyone, it’s Jesse James. If I were her I would hate that guy with the fire of 1,000 suns. I don’t see this story being true. First of all, we haven’t seen Ryan Gosling in forever. He isn’t in any nominated movies, he only did two movies this year anyway, and he only has one announced project coming up. He’s not going to show up to the Oscars, and that’s all that’s left really, apart from the Independent Spirit Awards and the BAFTAs. Maybe he’ll go to the Spirit awards for kicks, but I doubt it. He’s not one to go to events that aren’t necessary for his career.
Second, Sandra doesn’t care about Ryan! She used to date Matthew McConaughey too and she’s still great friends with him. Even if something weird happened between Sandra and Ryan, she’s probably not thinking much about him, and if she feels a momentary ping of some ten year-old heartache she’ll suck it up, smile and make a joke. She’s surely run into Ryan somewhere in the interim. Sandra is nothing if not professional and skilled at her job.

This isn’t even believable nonsense. It’s not just the age difference. Sandra has been married and divorced and become a mother in the decade since this relationship. If she was hung up on Gosling, we’d have heard about it by now (I didn’t even remember that they dated).
Really? She’s afraid to be around him? When he was nominated for Best Actor SAG or Golden Globe for Blue Valentine, she was the presenter for the award & they were both single at the time so I highly doubt she or he cares. This story was definitely pulled out of someone’s a$$.
I never think that Sandra would be afraid of anything. I think she is who she is and does her own thing not caring what anyone else really thinks. But since I don’t know her I could be way off base and more than likely am!

Sandra has quite an illustrious dating history. I can see everyone falling in love with her. Too bad Clooney doesn’t have better taste. They’d make a fun couple.
Sandra seems like she would be the last person to be afraid of an ex boyfriend. She seems so strong and self confident. I did like them as a couple though. Mind you, I don’t know what went on behind closed doors while they were dating. People have said Ryan is a very controlling boyfriend. But it could just be bs.
Ryan has given interviews in which he talks about Sandra (and Rachel) and he is always very compimentary and very open about his relationship(s) with them. I think the entire article is pure bull.

Sandra was far more attached to Matthew McConahay than Ryan and she runs into Matt and his wife fairly often and is fine. I doubt other than seeing an old boyfriend you always knew you’d be running into because H’wood is a small town, it’s not any bigger deal for her than anyone else.
I’m pretty sure she said something sometime about how she and Ryan get along fine. She seems to be peaceful with her exes.
