Rumer Willis will throw away her trust fund on a nightclub: bad idea?

Rumer Willis

These Rumer Willis photos are a few weeks old, but they’re still hypnotic. I’m a little obsessed with Rumer’s body. I have no idea whether she works out on a regular basis or is just lucky and reaping the benefits of a young metabolism. Rumer is 25 years old. She’s showing her roots on the flaming ombre hair. She doesn’t have to worry about money. She’s basically living the life.

Rumor acts sporadically but will probably never have a big breakthrough role. Radar says that Rumer has no reason to sweat the small stuff (for her). She came into her sizable trust fund last year and wants to use it to become a nightclub mogul. This seems like a bad idea:

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore‘s oldest daughter, Rumer, is planning to open up a Hollywood nightclub with the millions she inherited from her famous parents when she turned 25, a source told RadarOnline.com.

“Rumer came into many millions of dollars last August on her 25th birthday and got full control of the trust Bruce and Demi set up for her,” the source revealed.

“She wants to use it to invest in a hot business and has been telling friends she wants to own a nightclub. She’s begun scouting existing Hollywood spots that could use her ‘touch’.”

But the insider said Rumer, who has acted in minor roles in various movies, including those starring her parents, might not get a thumb’s up from the two, who divorced in 2000.

“Bruce and Demi had a bad experience in the club and restaurant business when they backed the once-famous Planet Hollywood chain that eventually flopped, so it’s doubtful that they’ll like the direction Rumer wants to take her investments.

“But Rumer has largely lost the acting bug and now that she’s financially independent, she’s going to try a lot of different things that don’t involve her parents’ careers,” the source said.

[From Radar Online]

Rumer has never gotten in trouble like other starlets on the party scene. No DUIs or stumbling drunk out of nightclubs. No upskirts. She’s pretty classy if you look at it that way. Rumer wants to run her own show and make her own name, which is understandable. I do suspect she’s feeling entrepreneurial because of her ex-stepdad, Ashton Kutcher. Dude may be a douche, but he’s made some shrewd investments over the years. A nightclub doesn’t sound very profitable though. The vast majority of clubs and restaurants end up shuttering after a few years. Oh well, it’s her money.

Rumer’s style game has been interesting lately. Lots of black clothing with brightly colored bags.

She does have a sick body. She got it from her mama.

  2. Penelope says:

Either that top picture is photoshopped or she got chin/jaw reduction surgery.

  3. PunkyMomma says:

    Terrific body.

  4. Dawn says:

Her money to do with what she will. Maybe being in the bar business is what she was born to do. Good luck to her.

    • Erinn says:

That’s the thing – sure there’s a potential for it to go terribly – but there’s also a potential for her to make a nice chunk of cash. If it’s what she’s interested in, and she hires the right people, it’s worth a shot

    • PoliteTia says:

      @ Dawn Thank you
      P.S. Rumer body is SLAMMING!

  5. Alexis says:

LOL! She dresses like me. I wear lots have black but have a massive collection of colorful, fun bags.

Good idea to invest, good idea for her to do something else bc acting is not going to happen for her. Bruce and Demi have plenty of money, she will not fail and be homeless in this world.

  7. Maria says:

She is not pretty in the conventional way but her body is soooo sick!

  8. mimi says:

She looks great. What a fit body! I think she does yoga because I remember seeing some pap pics of her and Demi leaving a yoga studio together. I’m happy she’s on good terms with her mom again. Whatever she decides to do, I wish her only the best.

A nightclub isn’t a great investment, but I doubt she’s going to invest ALL of her money in it. Someone like Rumer has a little more slack when it comes to making risky business decisions, and I guess I’d rather see her try to branch out into business than follow the example of some of her peers.

    • Kiddo says:

Yeah. It’ll get buzz and play for the mere fact that it’s celebrity owned, at least at the onset.

    • Bridget says:

You’re right: its nice to see that she’s braching out. And you’re also right: a nightclub is a risky investment. It typically takes bars/restaurants well over a year (if not multiple years) to finally see a return on invesment, and with a nightclub at that point the ”buzz” has worn off and success is dependent on how well the club/bar/restaurant is managed. Hospitality is SO much more than having a ”touch”. It’ll be interesting to see how that goes.

Her body shape is fantastic. Good genes!

  11. lucy2 says:

Good for her for wanting to invest and develop something, but a nightclub doesn’t seem like the best idea. I imagine most clubs don’t last very long.

  12. um no says:

WHO CARES WHAT SHE DOES WITH HER MONEY?

  13. Alexandria The Great says:

Her looks remind me of K-Stew so much.

    • Nina W says:

I disagree, KStew usually looks sloppy but Rumer looks nicely styled in all these shots.

  14. Dana m says:

Didn’t she learn from her parents in the planet Hollywood fail? Hopefully she will hire some good advisers. Yes her body is slamming!

  15. Kath says:

Does anyone find it odd that she ‘inherited’ money when both parents are still alive?

Way to ensure that your kid never works a day in her life (see: Rod Stewart).

    • Nina W says:

It’s not odd at all when you’re talking about the super rich. It’s a way for them to pass wealth to their children without the same taxes due as there are when they die. It’s a very common practice.
