Dear Lord, didn’t anyone learn anything from the mistake that was The Fashion Cafe?

(Yes, I ate ‘Naomi’s Fish and Chips’. Yes, I was young and impressionable enough in the 90’s to part with my allowance money to buy crap with Naomi Campbell’s name on it. I doubt it was even her recipe).

The poster child of sobriety that is Lindsay Lohan is hosting the opening of new fashioned theme bar “Runway” in NYC

On April 12, promoters Greg Barrias and Rich Messina will open Runway at 4 East 28th Street, near Fifth Avenue, which only coincidentally shares its name with the magazine in The Devil Wears Prada. We’re skeptical of the Wheresville location and the 25-foot catwalk in the center of the club (after the first couple of times someone reenacts the Zoolander walk-off, it’s not going to be funny anymore, no matter how many $10 Chinatown Cosmos are going around), but we at least give Barrias and Messina credit for having Lindsay Lohan host the opening. It’s going to be good press when she mows down another photographer outside of the place.

How many people want to bet that after Lohan makes her highly paid for promotional appearance that not another celebrity passes Runway’s door without a paycheck? Once all the body glitter settles, I don’t think a lot of people are going to pay good money to watch some good looking unknown stick person strut their stuff while they feel like a heifer for munching on their food.
