Last week Star ran with the provocative headlines “Caught! Tom uncovers Katie’s plans to leave him” suggesting that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had split up and that their marriage was about to end. The story inside the rag revealed that the claims were based on little more than the fact that Katie would soon be filming in Lousiana without Tom, but that he decided to tag along. Everyone had heard this already after The Post reported it, but Star’s headline made it seem like Katie had hatched this plan to ditch Tom when the actual article revealed that wasn’t the case at all.
This week The Enquirer made the dumb decision to place the same non-story on their front page, and I was again dissapointed to see a misleading title with little or no insider information and no real breakup. The story was just an account of the new house Tom was buying after his rented estate was sold along with the fact that he’s getting a place in NY. A new estate with more room spells some kind of TomKat marriage crisis according to The Enquirer.
Ovewhelmed with the demands of her new life, Katie has encouraged Tom to buy three new homes where she can escape.
“Katie is surrounded by Tom’s family and his Scientology minders,” says a friend, “She need to get away on her own.”
This will be the first time during her marriage to Tom that Katie will find alone time by moving out.
And despite Katie’s upcoming move, divorce is not an option.
“Katie’s strict Catholic upbringing and her determination to bring up their daughter Suri with both a mother and a father mean she will stick to her marriage vows,” said the friend.

Life & Style says “Katie Storms Out!” and according to the account on their website Katie ran out of the house after a fight on March 23rd. I haven’t read that article so I can’t comment on whether it has some revelatory news about the cult couples’ relationship. Given the fact that all these stories read like a gossip circle jerk, I doubt it.
I did read Life & Style’s fantastic piece of journalism “Does Katie Want Out?” from their April 9th issue, and they do is analyze pictures to say that her body language shows that she’s in control now. The girl got some self esteem, that doesn’t mean she’s ready to throw away her Barney’s card.

I think these tabloids have very sad but funny individuals as editors. I mean, lets face it, youare editor and a rag like star or enquirer, you read such a story and still let it be published. How pathetic do you get. Sometimes you have to feel for these poor celebrities.

Is it only five years, she should renew it, she seems to be doing well for herself. In sports contracts, if your stay with a club is going so well. Both you and the club are getting on like a house on fire, you can negotiate a new contract with even better terms for a longer stay.
In the next ten years, I will be vindicated that this is the best decision Katie Holmes made in her life, divorce or no divorce.

Hey Kiwi, I believe these two actually love each other, which 44 year old does not love a 26 year old starlett and which 26 year old does not love her teenage pin up. But I do not rule out ulterior motives for their relationship. Of course they both had their heads working over time when they entered into this.

-Gets to go to places
-She is inside the hollywood power circle (Remember the peeps at their L.A bash? Those are the powers that be in Hollywood.)
-Shops till she drops

its not just the scientology minders katie would like to get a break from, its living in a home along with a husband who has had his whole family move in….can you imagine…youre barely over the honeymoon, recently gave birth to a baby…. and your husband forces you to live with your mother in law, his two adopted children from his previous marriage and two sisters in law along with their children and a random cousin….tom’s family are also scientologists with heavy involvement.
if this in and of itself is not a recipe for disaster, i dont know what is.
i thought that tom owned some mansion in colorado….he must have other properties already….probably katie would like to have a place to live with just her, the baby and tom…but this whole deal is not set up that way. katie is only a couple years older than tom’s older daughter.

she may be in a win win situation money wise..supposedly…but as far as her soul, she has sold it to the $cientology devil who will see to it that she is completely fucked in the mind. if the time ever comes in which she chooses to leave, she wont know her left from her right up from down. i wont be surprised if she ends up in a mental institution at that point…hopefully her parents will help her pick up the pieces and put humpty back together again. they are going to need to use some of katies divorce settlement for de programming therapy and patience for a young woman who will be so shattered that she will need help from her mom taking care of the baby until she reaches a stable point in her recovery….
losing a credit line for Barneys or personal integrity and freedom….i know which one i would choose.

I wouldn’t say money is everything, but I would agree it does give you something less to worry about.
But is Tom worth it – sorry. Because it’s not just him physically, it’s total control, over your actions, your whereabouts, your work, even your spirituality – this is a classic abuse situation, and money is just not enough of a compensation for the rape of your indiviuality.
