A son. Thank god. Now he’s a real man.

    • Tatjana says:

Did he say something like that?

    • BratB says:

Lol ! I know he’s so happy especially after his ex lied saying that the baby boy that she was having was his when it wasn’t …… I heard he was crushed.

    • Lark says:

Sh=t, don’t tell me my beloved Idris said something douchey like that.

    • Mia 4S says:

Please tell me that’s your sarcasm at not a quote from him! I’d hate to have to write off Idris but I would in a second for that kind of garbage.

      • T.Fanty says:

What BratB said. When he was talking about the ex who lied, he said something about it being extra bad, because it was a son, which every man wants… That’s why he just needs to keep quiet and let us enjoy the hot.

      • FLORC says:

He’s let more of those type of gems slip, but for the most part they get buried. He’s like Franco imo. He needs to not talk.

  2. GeeMoney says:

    Congrats to Idris! Awwww.

    • janie says:

I thought the birth announcement was one of the sweetest and most memorable of any I’ve seen lately. Congrats to both!

  3. Sighs says:

    Mmmmmm…. Hiddles…..

Omg. My autocorrect just changed Hiddles to Hiddleston for me. Even my ipad knows I have issues. Yikes!

    • Leah says:

My Ipad knows I have Hiddles issues as does my computer. And my entire family! He is just delicious. However, can he keep his blond hair for at least one movie?

    • Kelly says:

      That’s hilarious 😀

  4. Lark says:

    Aw….love Idris.

  5. maybeiamcrazy says:

  9. QQ says:

Thanks for acknowledging Gabriel Garcia Marquez passing Ya’ll…

It kinda broke my heart yesterday, in a way i wasnt expecting at all… Like I never stan or fuss when famous type pass cause, Hey It’s sad but people die all the time and they aren’t mine to claim, but when Both my parents actually called me at work to make sure i was keeping my shit together?! Whoooo! My reading for enjoyment love affair began with him (Naturally the two people that introduced me to him and gave me “my own” books from him at 11ish no censoring of anything would know I was low key depressed – while acknowledging that Gabo lived a full long colorful life)

    • LadySlippers says:

I’m not familiar with him at all.

What made you fall in love with his writing? Do tell. Please?

      • QQ says:

Everything, omg the way he constructed an entire world, but is so “us” (small town latinos) he did this story of an entire family and it just felt so magic but so familiar?, outrageous as fuck but then also so well described that it could have happened in real life, then after he did that, this Colombian Flavored Microcosm he proceeds to randomnly in other books basically drop you a new street, another part of that town, some minor random’s character story… His love stories were outrageous, his true stories and reports about Colombian Hostages, were like movies, his women were strong, his men infuriating and complicated, his short stories were HAUNTING!

If you book reading bitchies can find you any and i do mean any of his books, short stories, or poems or One Hundred Years of Solitude, please please please i cant beg you enough: Get. IT

      • Tiffany :) says:

        Thanks for the recommendation, QQ!

      • Sixer says:

        RIP Gabo from me, too.

    • Lilacflowers says:

His short stories were perfect little worlds unto themselves. May he rest in peace.

    • BangersandMash says:

I was gonna comment on this!!
We have lost a titan of latin literary art. the enormity of the room, whose door has now quietly shut, while the world wasn’t looking, is something irreplaceable.
One hundred years of solitude continues to be a mark of a reminder to all those who have his poetic tales in their hearts….that, “everything written on then was unrepeatable since time immemorial and forever more, because races condemned to one hundred years of solitude did not have a second opportunity on earth.” Gabriel Garcia Marquez

And thank you QQ for acknowledging the greatness that Gabo has.

There are hollow rooms and silent hallways in the town of Macondo. Macondo has disappeared with Gabo, and so too, takes a piece of my womanhood, my perception of life, my….

I’m not ready, QQ. I’m not ready to move on, I’m not ready to cry!! I don’t even want to talk about it!!

    • jaye says:

I felt the same way when Octavia Butler died. She made me fall in love with her brand of science fiction.

  10. lucy2 says:

Congrats to their family – what a beautiful photo!

  11. original kay says:

just wondering if this site plans on convering the Bryan Singer sexual abuse allegations.

it’s a pretty hot topic right now.

    • Tania says:

As in! I was waiting for a full blown convo on this. Sadly I see him getting away with this.

      • original kay says:

        so do I.

it’s interesting reading it all. I had no idea he was so pervy, so it’s a bit of a shock.

The guy accusinng him is not hiding away at all, which lends credence to his allegations IMO. Unlike some of the Travolta accusers…

      • Cazzee says:

It all just seems so….creepy. I hope the allegations aren’t true because I want these things to never happen to people, you know what I mean? But the person filing the lawsuit seems very brave and is willingly stepping up and answering people’s questions. That takes a lot of courage.

I kind of have a queasy feeling that in the next week or so a lot more evidence might surface – evidence that will make it impossible for me to continue on in my bubble of denial.

      • QQ says:

Same Brian Singer of the Brandon Routh casting couch audition?

      • Tiffany :) says:

I typically am very much on the side of the victim, but I have a lot of questions about his story. He says this took place around 1998, 1999…and he sued 3 other men in 2000 and did not name Singer at that time. That raises a lot of questions to me. If this was just statutory that he was talking about, I would be more likely to believe him. But he is saying he was forcefully abused, held at gun point, etc….but then he also says that he went to many of these parties and took vacations with Singer. If you were forced at one party, why would you go back to the parties?

Not saying he isn’t telling the truth, there would need to be a lot of evidence one way or the other to make me chose a side, but right now the chain of events isn’t lining up to me. His limitations of adding people to the original 2000 suit expires in a week, and it kind of seems like a last ditch effort to get as much money out of the original claim as possible. That is just a guess, though.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Brandon Routh is married to Courtney Ford from True Blood.

      • Hiddles forever says:

Not sure about it, Tania… Because it involves a man against men….
If it was a woman against men, pfft… 200% sure they were getting away with that… But it is gay men exploiting underage boys.. Don’t see how it could go away soon. Travolta is CoS, is B. Singer one of them too?

      • Bridget says:

Did anyone read the post DListed wrote on it? Michael K pretty much called out Singer. Apparently Singer is famous for liking underage pretty boys, and this lawsuit isn’t exactly a shock.

      • Kim1 says:

MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts was sexually abused by priest .It started when he was about 13 and continued for ten years. Why did he keep seeing the priest after he became an adult?
It’s not so simple, sexual abuse is complicated.I was sexually abused for years as well.
This guy’s attorney say the attorney from 2000 was told about Singer.

      • Kelly says:

Yes, the Singer stuff is all over the news. But I also see him getting away with it because all sites mention the boys were “barely legal” and they voluntarily came. It’ll be a hard time proving any use of coercion or abuse.

I can’t believe how many of these Hollywood types end up being pervs and abusers!! WTF

      • My father in law worked on both X movies that Singer directed. During X2 there was about a week to two weeks of filming blown because Singer disappeared into Vancouver on a safari of booze, blow and boys. They had to deal with the Hells Angels to get him back. So…the suit doesn’t shock me.

    • Mia4S says:

The parties happened, apparently that’s common knowledge. That doesn’t mean the crime happened…but the aesthetics are not good at all. There are definitely more names to come.

      • Lolo-ology says:

Yeah the DEN thing is pretty damning, I think. Not solid proof, but there are some comments over the years from other big names like Feldman and Renfro that def do not paint a pretty picture. 🙁

  12. Jayna says:

I really loved him more when I thought he was hot and single, not hot and settled down with baby on the way.

  13. I will always love Robin Roberts–she’s just freaking amazing.

Suri is EIGHT YEARS OLD–wtf, time flies when you’re always being carried.

And that picture of Idris and his baby is SO CUTE. I love it. That’s probably one of the most creative newborn pics I’ve seen.

    • Valois says:

“time flies when you’re always being carried.”- hahaha, that should be a universal truth 😀

    • Sugar1 says:

      thats funny VC:)

  14. pru says:

    Pru congratulates Idris!

  15. Lilacflowers says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you for Idris news! Happy Idris news at that.

  16. BangersandMash says:

Rest in peace, Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I recall, watching an interview in which he had once said that from the moment he realized the power of the written word, he knew this was his path, to be a writer was something he was willing to die for.
Colombia’s native son, born in Aracataca where he first conceived of this world, and all the little worlds, the women, the men, our human condition, written in 422 pages within the time frame of one hundred years… has left this world behind.

From, tales of love in the time of cholera, and chronicles of a death foretold.

All this, and more, moving within my soul, relating to things, people, and places all over the world. Now these pages have no real life breathing through them any more.

    He has left.

But Gabo, if in the other life, where you roam with family and friends, and people you vividly and feverishly wrote about. Know that in the living world, you were LOVED!!!

    Good bye!

  17. Kelly says:

    Congrats all around!
