Here are some new photos of Elsa Pataky in Beverly Hills Madrid yesterday. She was launching her new fitness book, Max Intensity, which she cowrote with Fernando Sartorius. According to Elsa’s Instagram, it’s a book about sporting a “new philosophy” about workouts and how to get in shape in 90 days. Ninety days… three months… well, it seems like a more comprehensive workout strategy than the “28 day” workout plans or whatever. But you’ve got to know that as soon as you get past those 90 days and drop the workout, you’re probably going to gain whatever weight back.
I kind of wonder if this is Elsa’s new thing? Like, she’s not even doing the acting thing anymore. She’s just moved straight into “married to an A-list actor” territory. Her focus is on taking care of their kids, plus whatever “make work” side projects she’s got, like blogging for Glamour Spain. And writing 90-day workout books. And calling the paps. And banging Chris Hemsworth.
As for her look at the book launch… this outfit is so tragic. It’s really, really bad. And it’s weird because Elsa looks great after giving birth three months ago, so you’d think she would wear something less… goth/glam and RUFFLED. This was an opportunity for a really clean, fresh look. Elsa also did that totally ‘80s wet-look hair style for the event. I have mixed feelings. She is super-pretty, but I’m tired of her short hair and I’m not a fan of the wet-look.

I don’t know anything about her outside of being CH’s wife, but she’s gorgeous. The fact she has not only had 3 kids, but had TWINS just 3 months ago and looks like THAT is truly amazing. No shade on her for not acting anymore. She seems to be doing ok. She’s got her kids and her projects so good for her.
Don’t like the outfit but I like the hair. It works for her and she has an exquisite face, so she should show it off.
Is it weird I don’t have long-term hopes for the marriage? Not for any reason other than gut feeling? Its awful to say I know and I don’t wish it on them at all, especially since there are kids involved, its just a strange feeling I have.

Is her husband A-list? I had no idea. Seems like the typical brawns, brute action hero actor with roles that will never be mistaken for intellectual.

Eh. Chris Hemsworth is not quite A list. His movies other than Thor or the Avenger one have not done that great when he is in the lead starring role. Hope his movie about the real Moby Dick does well. I loved that book.

I’d say B list, maybe B+ list if we’re feeling generous. No shame in that, I think most actors with success reside there. “A” list to me is Leo, Angie, Brad. Scarlett, RDJ, SLJ (if you’re going to rate Avengers actors) are A listers. People you know by first name or just initials.
But CH’s status and fame, like most of the Avengers group, is pretty dependent on the Marvel fanbase, in my opinion. Which is still considerable, obviously. They each may have varying levels of recognition outside that fanbase but are otherwise not “one name” famous because the Marvel/comic book fanbase is so specific and specialized. Scarlett, RDJ and SLJ were well known for other things before the Avengers came along. Again, this is just my opinion.
I hope In the Heart of the Sea is great though. I loved that book (and Nantucket is one of my favorite places on Earth) so I am really rooting for it.

That’s what I always like about Brad Pitt–however ugly you think the rings are that he designed for Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie–at least they looked like he put some effort into the design. I am so sick and tired of reading about a celebrity engagement, and being told that the man ‘designed’ the ring himself, and then we get a variation of the monstrosities that I linked above. I mean if my dude was gonna design a ring, then actually DESIGN THE RING.
If I was rich, I could go and pick out giant cocktail rings for myself.

She’s exceptionally pretty, but I’m not digging her outfit either. I’d love to see her in something less girly and perhaps more elegant..? And a longer skirt. I just do not like this length. Imo it fits only pretty tall women with very slim legs.

Let’s be honest; she wouldn’t have this book deal if she wasn’t Mrs. Chris Hemsworth. Elsa’s fame level is one part Kardashian and three parts Pippa Middleton: the paps keeps her in the news and the marriage gets her jobs. She was in Thor: The Dark World doubling as Natalie Portman’s Jane in one of the end credit scene. I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a part in the new Avengers movie.
