I used to love Eve. I probably still would love Eve if she was still around, making music consistently. As it is, I can’t remember the last time I heard an Eve song on the radio. Eve was like The Original Rihanna – she was sassy, confident, cool, sexy and she loved designer clothes. She was tight with Gwen Stefani and she branched out into acting with a lot of success. Then at some point, she met a rich British guy named Maxmillion Cooper, creator of the Gumball 3000 races. They got engaged late last year, and then they got married this weekend in Ibiza. She’s 35 and he’s 41. He also has four kids with his first wife.
Rapper and actress Eve married her fiancé, Maximillion Cooper, on Saturday. The Barbershop star and the British designer and Gumball 3000 race founder wed in Ibiza, Spain, E! News is reporting.
“I’m so happy to make Eve my wife,” Copper told E! “The whole experience has been amazing and we are both so happy to have tied the knot.”
They reportedly chose Ibiza for their wedding location because it was where this year’s Gumball 3000 car race ended. Eve didn’t take part in the rally this year, instead flying to Spain early for final wedding preparations while her groom competed.
“All he needs to do is show up, shave and put on a suit,” the bride told i-D.
The couple announced their engagement in December last year after Eve, 35, posted a photo on Instagram flashing her huge sparkly diamond ring. It’s the first marriage for the former sitcom star and the second for the 41-year-old groom, who has four children.
Well… congrats. I think they’ve been together for 4 years or thereabouts, so it’s not like they rushed into anything. And they do seem to adore each other. Incidentally, when I was researching the background on this wedding story, I found these older quotes with Eve talking about how this is her first interracial relationship ever, and it’s his first too. They want to have a kid together as well. Sweet.
But really I’m just writing this up because we had the wedding photos. I really, really do not like her Alice Temperley dress. That high neck! It just looks kind of cheap. I usually like Temperley’s simple anti-Vera Wang wedding gowns, but this one just isn’t cute. Also: that is the ugliest Lambo I’ve ever seen.

I think the high neck on the dress may be to cover up the chest tattoos she has. Remember the paw prints on her cleavage? She may have had others, but those are the most memorable for me. That may not have been her motive, and she obviously she could have gone other routes to cover them, but she felt this dress was “the one,” so I’m happy for her. Congrats to them.
She may be pregnant…she’s never this big.=:-)

I think the dress could be pretty on someone more statuesque perhaps. But it is too demure for Eve and does nothing for her figure. She should have picked a dress that enhanced her curvier figure instead of just looking like a beaded sack mess.

They look happy and I suppose that’s what matters but he should have worn a suit that fit him properly and I feel like she got married because her money was running out??? Oy, I am being such a hater…congrats to the happy couple?!?!
Well, I was going to say “I can’t believe a celeb getting married without their boobs hanging out how refreshing” but I have to agree high necks like that are only flattering on girls with no curves.
If you squint Eve’s new husband looks like Jude Law. She also released a new album last year called Lip Lock.
Was worried about hating on her dress but am relieved so many others feel the same way! Normally Eve has such great style but that dress is not it. I will say that in other photos I’ve seen, Eve is absolutely beaming, so I guess that’s all that matters. Congrats to the couple.
I remember that eve always had questionable fashion sense (to be fair in 2000 we all did) and she was an exotic dancer so she is probably going for a demure and elegant vibe here.
I am happy for her. Also it is wonderful symbolism because they got married on ‘Loving Day’.
