Britney’s first concert in three years was lipsynched and lasted 16 minutes

Rumors that Britney Spears was going to test the muddy water with a comeback concert at the San Diego House of Blues under the name “The M & Ms” were true. The wigged pop star took to the stage last night two hours late for her first performance in three years and performed five songs for a whole 16 minutes. Her dance moves were said to be decent, but she only performed four songs, none were new, and she lipsynched everything.

Nearly 650 people were in attendance despite the semi-secret nature of the show and the fact that it was said to be cancelled. The show was supposed to start at 8:00 p.m., with people arriving at 7:00, but Britney didn’t take to the stage until 10:00. Audience members were booing after a false start at 9:22.

I will be updating this as I get it. First, the show started about 2 hours late. All the backup dancers were chicks (blonde.) Britney wore a jean skirt with a sparkly red top, and a dark brown almost black wig. The show lasted for about 20 minutes.

She performed the following songs:

Baby One More Time
I’m A Slave 4 U
Breathe On Me
Do Somethin’
Toxic

She did not say anything to the crowd sadly, and she lip synched. Will be getting audio later tonight.

ps - she is back on the bus driving to her next “show.”

Other reports have Britney saying “Thanks everyone for coming” at the end of her show. She will now perform at the House of Blues in Anaheim tonight, and the West Hollywood House of Blues on May 3rd.

Britney is said to be dating singer Howie Day after the two were spotted out together and he spent the night at her place. They met in rehab and spent their much-publicized date out at several clubs. I wonder if he lasted more than 16 minutes.
