Here are some retro photos of Kris and Bruce Jenner. The couple married in 1991, officially separated late last year, and just filed for divorce yesterday. The above photo is from 2004, from the Along Came Polly premiere. (The film’s star, Jennifer Aniston, was there with her then-husband Brad Pitt, just saying. The other event photos are from 2004-2005 and there are also photos of them with Kylie and Kendall in 2000, and making a salad in an aerobic-themed photo op from 1991.) There was something so sympatico about them back when they both had their 1.0 faces and matching haircuts. They often dressed alike too.
The Jenners have lived their marriage in the spotlight, and now it’s time for them to end it that way. Kris filed for divorce from Bruce yesterday and he filed his own response shortly afterwards. Reports claim that it’s all relatively amicable, that it was worked out over months between their managers, and that they didn’t get lawyers involved. That sounds smart. Here’s more, from TMZ:

Kris filed pro per — meaning NO LAWYER. Our sources say this was all orchestrated. Bruce Jenner’s response was filed at the L.A. County Courthouse shortly after Kris filed, and it was a mirror image of Kris’ petition.
They give the standard “irreconcilable differences” as grounds for the divorce.
Everything has been worked out with their business managers … our sources say. There was NO PRENUP and they have already agreed to a property split.
Neither party will get spousal support. As for Kylie — who is 17 — they have joint custody.
Bruce, Kris and their managers worked out the deal over the last few months.
They separated June 1, 2013. That’s significant because once they’re separated they don’t continue to share earnings — in other words, what’s hers stays hers after separation.
We’re told the divorce is “totally amicable.”
I’ve witnessed non-celebrity divorces in which average-earning people end up paying more to lawyers than they pay in settlement money. It’s done out of spite and out of an inability to agree on basic things, and no one really “wins.” So, despite the fact that we’re talking about Lucifer’s homegirl and she’s incredibly unlikable, it’s nice to hear about a celebrity couple who is divorcing without acrimony and without lawyers. Maybe it’s just the way Kris ran the relationship, she called the shots and Bruce went along with it, but it sounds like they’re on the same page. They’re dividing their property, Kris will get to keep more of the Kardashian koffers, and Bruce will do just fine. Just yesterday he bought himself a $50k UTV race car from a Nascar driver. See, the narrative goes that everyone is happy and it worked out fine. I don’t know why I’m falling for this, it could just be Kris’ plan to cut Bruce out before she scores a major deal. You know she’s planning something, rubbing her hands together and smiling as evilly as possible with her pinched face and crazy eyes.
I think they were probably working it out during the separation period. I wonder if she has a new guy already.
Bruce seems like a hot mess and I don’t imagine it was hard divorcing him in the end.
Actually, I think that Bruce managed to extricate himself from the K media circus quite skilfully, once he decided to do that. I think him far from a hot mess. He’s a guy of actual accomplishment deciding how reconcile himself with his past choices and he how he wants to live the rest of his life. Which apparently, is not being PMKs consort at E. The news stories mocking a 65 year old man for getting older and his appearance are really unnecessary.
They are mocking his decision to get too much plastic surgery. He is an Olympian but he may be remembered for his decision to feminize himself.
I agree he is not a fame whore but that doesn’t make him a pleasure.

Bruce is NOT a hot mess and he is the only one in that family who has a talent. He TRAINED and WON a gold medal in the Olympics!! After Bruce won, he knew he had 4 years to capitalize on his win before there would be a new Olympic hero. He turned his notoriety into a $60 million dollar fortune through investing smart.
This is the urban dictionary definition of HOT MESS: when a “person’s appearance is in a state of total disarray while still maintaining an undeniable attractiveness” & allure.
Yea. Bruce doesn’t fit that definition.
He’s still a Track all-star. He’s still a wheaties box alumni. He’s still survived Lucifer’s homegirl.
I like Bruce. So much I wish he wasn’t covered here. Let the man go on his merry way and live his life as he pleases. More coverage means he’s exposed to evil people in the comments section.
He hasn’t hurt anyone. He doesn’t speak out of place. Leave the man alone.

Yikes, Did everyone in their family get work done? I’m happy for Bruce. I stopped watching the Kardashian’s years ago but it was horrible to watch how they treated and disrespected him.

I commend Bruce for getting away from Kris at all costs! I’m quite sure he will be much happier now. I don’t watch the show, but I hope he won’t be on KUWTK anymore.
ITA. I’ve watched the show once (you can’t judge what you don’t know), and I gotta say, you could always see he was never comfortable with the cameras. Kudos to them for keeping things civil.

She was exotic looking yes but a beauty? Nope. I think if she hadn’t had ANY plastic surgery she would look pretty bad right now. Her skin was a mess, she already showed signs of aging, sagging skin, bad under eye circles, and deep grooves already in her face so 10 years later?
I think she turned into a beauty after a few procedures but now has taken it too far. She should of just left her first implants in, maybe got a lift and left her butt/thighs alone.She looks odd with a huge butt and skinny not toned legs that were obviously lipo’d.

You’re bias is disrupting your thoughts. Everying has those issues. You do. I do. Everyone. And some of us are considered beautiful. Some of us have had work done.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And here are a group of people that see a K thread and smell blood in the water. There wil rarely be a compliment or even a comment without insult.
Kim was once a beauty. She took things too far. IMO because of Kris. Kris seems damaging to a person’s self esteem.

In response to Charlie – exotic generally means ‘I’m not sure what you are but you’re not white’. In the USA everyone who is not from Native American heritage is actually exotic, oddly you never hear Gisele Bundchen described that way in US media even though she actually is because she’s Anglo looking. Even if you try looking at it from the definition of “intriguing and unusual” the ONLY thing that stood any of the Kardashian sisters out from the enormous crowds of girls/women like them in California is the naturally dark hair and a darker complexion.

Wouldn’t doubt it, Kardashian is a brand and she wants that name back. If she could she probably would change Kendall and Kyle’s last name from Jenner to Kardashian as well.
Call me crazy but I have a feeling Kris is going to try and make a new show out of this – something about her getting out there and starting over – like Dating Kris Jenner or along those lines. She has always wanted to be her daughters, and she will probably pitch it like she’s a new role model for single ladies in their 50s lol !
God help us … and the men she wil b dating! Bruce has had a lucky escape. Yes I must admit I sometimes watch kuwtk to my shame but I always thought bruce was rather sweet and th only normal one amongst them, apart from khloe.
Even if she has scored a big deal, he wouldn’t be entitled to any share of it since it is well known that they are separated. I never thought I would say this about anything Kardashian, but I actually admire the way they have handled the situation.
But keep in mind…if they don’t go through lawyers, there is less information available to the public. They might be hiding something, not just protecting their privacy.
I suspect that their marriage became nothing more than a business relationship a long time ago. It’s easier to split up amicably when there aren’t any real emotions left.

I don’t think it’s suspicious to use their business managers instead of lawyers. A lot has probably been discussed and they have a lot of businesses and business related obligations they need to hammer out. It’s funny, when there’s no drama people assume there’s a lot behind the scenes. Then when there is drama people get bashed for not being nice.
It’s also entirely possible that their managers happen to be lawyers as well, in which case they didn’t use divorce lawyers. Which would be a smart move.
I strongly suspect their business managers have lawyers either in house or on retainer and every document was reviewed by lawyers. It would be irresponsible otherwise.
Poor Bruce….his website states he is “The World’s Greatest Athlete”…….he has morphed into a pitiful joke. Kris has no soul. Predict an unhappy ending for her.
Kris is a GENIUS and a poster girl for the American Dream. She’s turned a pig’s ear into a silk purse, multiplied by no less than 5 daughters and created a dynasty of money for nothing. And she has plenty of souls – in a jar on the mantelpiece.

i don’t believe for a split second that no lawyers are involved. even if they each filed pro se/pro per (for whatever stunt queen reasons), and their business managers (who might be lawyers) hammered out their post-divorce business arrangements/obligations/etc, there is too much money involved here not to have a lawyer in some capacity to CYA.
I totally agree! You think for a second they wouldn’t want to know what they are entitled to at law? To say nothing of wanting ppl with experience to negotiate the division of assets. And I don’t blame them. Filing without lawyers is just for appearances…like a lot of things in this family.
I feel really sad for them. They’ve been married for such a long time and they’re both crazy so they work for each other. Note to Bruce: Hire your own undereye concealer guy and stop using the one that puts all the white stuff all over Kim’s face to make her look like she’s bathed in light.

My kids only recently started watching KUWTK on netflix and are still in the early seasons. Bruce seems like the only decent adult on the show. Reasonable, thoughtful and caring.

Even if Bruce ends up broke after this divorce, I don’t think he’d honestly care. It’s been so obvious for the last 2-3 years (even if you catch just 30 seconds of a random episode) that he’s wanted out, he’d be relieved to no longer be associated.

Every Single Person in the Kartrashian Family, except I guess Kortney, has messed with their looks for the worse. Even the youngest, Kylie?, just blew up her lips, at age 17. Getting plastic surgery at 17 is the saddest thing I ever heard of. Especially for a girl who is pretty. PMK is a black hole of a mom.
