I know most of you don’t care. I don’t care about your apathy!! I love covering Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman. I’m fascinated by them. My theory is that Simon and Lauren’s affair (she was married at the time) blew up in Simon’s face when she got pregnant (accidentally/on purpose). Lauren came out publicly with her story through “sources” and basically used the media to get Simon to drop everything and treat her like she was his one and only. Simon probably thought (correctly) that he would look like a major douchebag if he slammed her or treated Lauren like she was some disposable side-piece.
So, a half-assed fairytale romance was haphazardly pushed in the media. Simon helped Lauren through her quickie divorce (I believe Simon paid off Lauren’s ex-husband) and Simon and Lauren began holding hands and traveling together all over the world. Lauren’s older son was jettisoned so Lauren could focus on Simon and their baby, Eric. Lauren had edged out most of Simon’s harem too – those women were no longer invited on yacht vacays and furry getaways. So all was well. But a leopard can’t change his spots.
It seems that Simon Cowell single-handedly supports the theory “once a player, always a player.” Star has learned that Simon, 54, has grown tired of being committed to Lauren Silverman.
“Simon is bored with Lauren,” an insider reveals. “He devotes all of his time to his son and The X Factor. He has no time for her.”
And Lauren is starting to notice. “Simon has been incessantly flirting with a member of the X Factor production staff,” continues the friend. “Lauren feels completely discarded by him.”
But the music mogul is determined to end things on a good note: Pals say he’s already searching for a house to buy Lauren as a breakup gift.

Sounds about right. Maybe this was even Simon’s plan all along. Stay with Lauren for a reasonable amount of time, give her a very generous exit package with a non-disclosure agreement and a good custody agreement and all will be well. Except I think Lauren actually had her heart set on becoming Mrs. Cowell. I’m not saying it was love, mind you. I’m just saying that she wants to be his only lady, now and forever.

yeah ok a guy that treats ladies good after the break up is cool but how does that relate to attraction? i understand not wanting to be with a man who was horrible and public about his exes but im not going into a relationship thinking “hm i think i should date him, he’ll be good to me when we break up”
He isn’t nice in some ways, but when he says he truly loves his ex-girlfriends, me means it. He would do anything for his friends, and is so generous with his exes, that it says something about him. It is striking how much he gives them. A court of law would never make him give them the millions he does and homes. They are girlfriends, not wives. He genuinely wants them to be happy and secure. Seeing how many men dump their wives and try to hide the money and treat them with so little respect after the breakup, I can’t deny he seems to have a soft spot most don’t see.
Hi Jayna, my name is Big Cynic, nice to meet. the A-List stars often treat their exes good (as always there are exceptions) not because they are great people but because they have intimate knowledge and can make huge amounts of money talking about it. if you give them money and a house and keep being on friendly terms (“im friends with that mogul!!”) its way less likely someone will spill the beans about you.

I once saw this stupid movie starring Ashley Judd & Greg Kinnear. The premise sucked, but Kinnear played a character who would end it with women, but treat them well so he would look like a villainous child. That is Simon Cowell. Exactly! Son 1.0 is going to have abandonment issues for life. At one point she wanted to move to CA without him, but then Simon got fired and her plans to go Hollywood were ruined. I think she wants a reality TV show and will probably get it with Rich Man 3.0

Is that definite? I read she has shared custody but isn’t allowed to have Simon and her son together at once, and Simon flies her to New York every fortnight to be with her son. I thought that would work nicely, because he’d get that time alone, too? Family man half the month, bachelor the rest. It’s hardly a hard life, is it?
And hell will freeze over before he marries. You aren’t married in the UK, and you aren’t entitled to anything except child support. A wife would have a claim on his money in her own right. No way I can see him risking that one.
I think a mother should see her son more often than every two weeks. I hope that’s not how it really is.
I took “flies her out once a fortnight” to mean that she has one week on, one week off custody of her son, which is not uncommon for divorced parents. She spends a week in New York, flies back to the UK, spends a week there, and then Simon flies her out again. I doubt that she’d fly to New York for one-day visits every two weeks.
The thought of a furry getaway has quite put me off my lunch.

That is the most predictable story ever.
I just do not see the attraction. And don’t say it’s the money. Money can buy lots of things, but it can’t buy self-respect. Or integrity.
She adores him. But he did an interview recently, and all he could do was rave about his little baby, how much he loved him and loved working at home and having him in the house, but not one mention of Lauren. He’s just not really madly in love with her. He was in love with Teri Seymour, and when she broke up with him, he fell hard for that Mezghan woman. The way he was so enamored of her and engaged and wanting to talk about it in interviews was endearing. It didn’t last and they split after two years. But he’s never been gaga over this woman. He just knocked her up and he likes a steady girlfriend. He had said before they got together that he missed having a girlfriend. He’s not going to dump her right now because he wouldn’t get to see his child as much. When Lauren is off the other two weeks of the month with her older son, he gets his space. Until he falls for someone else, he will probably keep it status quo.
Maybe I’m wrong. He did go on the yaacht trip with her without all of his gal friends tagging along. That’s a first for him. Is Simon finally settling down?
That yacht holiday was very deceptively presented. The harem joined them a day or 2 later, but lived on a 2nd boat. In the photos it looked like he was alone with Lauren the entire time because they were papped on *their* yacht. The 2nd yacht wasn’t papped, but there were pap pics of entire *group or some of the group at strolling through various resorts at night.
*group = Simon and the Harem though Lauren was always front and centre.

As for her, she HAD loads of money when she was married, now she will be on her own raising the kids ( probably having to fly between UK/US for the fathers custody) with a bitter ex husband, 2 kids who don’t know each other and a really bad reputation.

I don’t believe for a minute that Lauren edged out the harem because I’m totally convinced Simon’s into The Lifestyle aka a swinger. His harem hasn’t and isn’t going anywhere, they have just been forced under ground. After Eric was born, there was photographic evidence that at least one of the harem hooked up with the couple on one of their vacations. The threesome was photographed at night walking near their hotel. I think those photos were in Miami.
underground is the right word.. every so often, a member of the harem makes it into the pap shots. from that *painful Miami beach holiday to their most recent yacht holiday.
*Lauren was clearly holding on tight to her Simon ATM despite having given birth 2 weeks prior. Never has a new mother looked so unhappy despite being on a nanny filled beach holiday. That’s the only time i felt sorry for her because it was so clear that she was on that holiday to accommodate Simon’s schedule and needs and no room was given to her needs.
Like Clooney, he’s a good guy to be dumped by….you get departure gifts. Lol. And I view this relationship just like Clooney’s current relationship/future marriage….already planned out.

Everytime I see Simon Cowell , I think of George Clooney, both men give me the same vibe.
I don’t think Simon has changed but he did things concerning the child with Lauren for PR purposes, after being caught in an affair, he wanted to save his image. I think he truly loves his son, but has probably already worked out legal issues and Lauren with be put back in the harem soon with visiting arrangements probably already worked out for baby Simon.
Just a few weeks ago there were photos in the DailyMail of Simon, Lauren, with Sinitta, Meghan and a few other friends returning from a vacation together.
I found it amusing that they were really coupling up at all, but due to the pregnancy, perhaps it was in his best interests to show some kind of fondness for the mother……until time passes, of course, when he eventually moves on. So predictable !!
He needs to get a vasectomy and freeze his sperm just in case he wants another child in the future & use a surrogate if he does. She needs to stop gold digging by using children as her M.O. (jmho).

Husband number three will be a big playa rolling in the dough too. Between her parting gifts from simon and ex-husband #1 plus child support x2 (in NY State child support is 17% of the father’s income and NY sides with mothers in custody cases if it’s a safe relationship). Both of her children were born in NY and are NY residents along with their mother in her apartment that Simon bought in NYC. Add another rich husband in the future, and she can buy her own yacht.
