Producers of the James Bond franchise are said to be courting super-skinny hobo-chic fans Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to appear in the next Bond movie. If they accept they’re not going to play the standard temptresses, though, it just sounds like they’ll have some sort of Miss Moneypenny supporting role, and are said to be playing “nice girls”

Introducing the new Bond Girls: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen! One of the producers (who happens to be a female) of Daniel Craig’s next James Bond movie is very impressed with Ashley and Mary-Kate and really wants them in the 22nd 007 movie scheduled to start filming in 2008. The Olsens would be the first set of Bond twins. The producer is making the offer as appealing to the girls as possible – there will be no nudity or sex scenes. And the twins will play good girls – not villains. (ER’s Goran Visnjic is set to play a villain) The Olsens are seriously considering the offer.

Is this the same producer who thought Eva Green would make a convincing love interest for Craig in the last film? I found her acting wooden and she was not a likable character at all, in my opinion. While I wouldn’t wish a drowning death on any fictional character, I’m rather glad she won’t be coming back for the sequel.

I could see how producers would make the transition from boring goth Eva Green to goth twins Ashley and Mary Kate. I just hope neither of them gets involved on screen with Craig.
