Amy Winehouse looks great

amy winehouse 2 050309

Things are looking better for Amy Winehouse both physically and personally. Her jackass husband Blake Fielder-Civil has filed for divorce, which is good for Amy whether she realizes it or not. And she is looking absolutely fabulous. She just returned to London after taking quite the extended vacation in St Lucia.

Not only has she put on some much-needed weight, but she is no longer a ghastly shade of pale. As the Daily Mail points out, she even has some light freckles on her face. Her hair is all cleaned up and newly behived and her clothes are clean. Amy’s also back to her signature ballet slippers, but this time there’s no blood on them. Miraculous! She looks like the Winehouse of two years ago.

After a relaxing two month holiday in the Caribbean, Amy Winehouse is looking healthier than she has done in years. Spotted near her new home in Barnet, Herts, the singer appeared to have lost the pale, gaunt look she sported for the majority of last year.

Showing off her lightly sunkissed legs in a black mini-skirt, the 25-year-old star’s face was covered with freckles from her recent stay in St Lucia. Despite her healthier demeanour, Amy has reverted back to one of her old habits – buying sweets. With her female bodyguard in tow, Amy drove to a newsagent near her new Barnet home to indulge her sweet tooth. At the height of her drug addiction last year, the Rehab singer was regularly spotted leaving her local corner shop in Camden in the middle of the night clutching bags full of sweets.

After sporting her natural short, curly hair in St Lucia, Amy is again wearing her signature beehive extensions. Amy returned to London on Sunday after an extended vacation in St Lucia, during which she took part in various sporty activities, including gymnastics, aerobics and horse-riding. A long dose of sun and exercise has clearly done the troubled star the world of good.

With her face now looking fuller in the cheeks and covered with light freckles, Amy has lost the pale and spotty complexion she sported last year. Considering how long Amy spent on the island, she is looking less tanned than expected, prompting speculation the wayward star was sensibly applying sun lotion to protect her skin from sun damage.

[From the Daily Mail]

Amy no longer appears like someone who screams “drug addict” just by looking at her. I’ve learned to be cautious about saying it seems like she’s turning things around, because every time I do, she manages to fall off the horse again. But this is the best I can remember her looking in a long, long time. She’s just so… hygienic!

Obviously Amy looks healthier than she has in the last year, but what I’m most amazed by is how put-together and clean she appears to be. There is nothing about her that makes you think she’s been rolling around in the mud or tromping through gutters. Hopefully she’s not doing all this in an attempt to win back Blake, but instead because she’s moving on with her life.

Here’s Amy leaving her new home and grabbing some candy today. Images thanks to WENN.com.

Let’s hope that being back home in the UK doesn’t exacerbate old habits. I love her music, but quite honestly, I thought she’d be dead by now. Let’s hope that she really did get healthy and we’ll hear more greatness from har.

I, too, thought she’d be dead by now. I hope being back in London doesn’t bring back old habits.

I really want to see her without a wig, and without short curly hair. Just to see what she would look like with at least straight shoulder length hair. I think it would look real good!

She looks better, but by no means does she look great. Old girl shoul’ve stayed in the Carribean, I’m sure the shit-show will begin anew very very soon.

Now if she could just get back to the Amy of about FOUR years ago, the really healthy Amy, that would be FANTASTIC!

I’m pulling for her, always have been.

Good luck to her…but am not convinced that a heavy using drug addict such as herself is out of the woods yet. But fingers crossed for her, hope she manages it, just have a feeling its not over yet.

I would be more comfortable if she were going straight to an out-patient (one cannot hide forever, I know) program upon returning to London.

She looks better than I’ve seen in a long time. Her legs have flesh on them again. Her face is not sagging on her skull. It’s good. It’s really good.

I hope, sincerely, that the folks around her are encouraging her in sobriety and that she is being, FINALLY, compliant.

Great, now she should consider an image overhaul and ditch the flea infested beehive. All good diva’s update regularly and she’s been sporting this look for too long now.

Same dance class ballerinas and beehive. She’s not an inch closer to normality. Someone washed her hair and painted lips on the remains of what used to be her face, that’s all.

I am happy that she looks better and hopefully feels better, but to me she is still ugly and 100% unattractive. Her picks gross me out still.
