Lindsay Lohan has done less than 10 hours out of 125 community service hours

FFN_Lohan_Lindsay_FFUK_exc_042315_51721531

I’ve been ignoring Lindsay Lohan for the better part of a month, for good reason: she’s still an utter cracktastrophe and covering her stupid drama has actually gotten sort of boring. I’ll get to the “still a cracktastrophe” part in just a moment, but first the real news. Back in February, Lindsay tried to crack-lie her way out of her community service hours at the very last minute, when she somehow completed two weeks of community service in three days. The City Attorney laughed her out of court and the judge ordered her to do an additional 125 hours by May 28th. Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley went into court in LA yesterday for a progress report. This is what happened:

Lindsay Lohan has a new set of excuses to justify her anemic community service performance — she’s completed less than 10 of the 125 required hours. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, was in court Thursday AM, along with prosecutor Melanie Skehar, laying out Lindsay’s progress at the London-based community service facility.

Pretty shocking, and predictable … Lindsay has completed 9 hours and 45 minutes. It’s especially maddening because more than 2 months ago the judge threw out a chunk of sketchy hours … including the credit she got for appearing onstage for her play.

Lindsay’s excuse du jour … the community services center has changed locations and now it takes her an hour-and-a-half to get there. She has to hire a car service for the 3 hour round trip. Holley said she’d like Lindsay to do the remaining community service in Brooklyn, so it sounds like LiLo may be moving stateside again.

The prosecutor did not ask for an arrest warrant, but the judge said, “If Lindsay does not get this done by May 28th there will be consequences.”

[From TMZ]

“Consequences” like a slap on the wrist. Ugh. And I love how everyone pretends like “the community center moved far away!” is a reasonable excuse. Chica, you’re in London!! Surely there’s somewhere else you could do some charity work?

As for the cracktastrophe… Star Magazine has a lengthy story about how Lindsay is still partying like crazy and she’s still a melodramatic crack monster, etc, etc. Lindsay was in Milan last week with a “swarthy” mysterious stranger (“john”) and the paparazzi got photos of Lindsay sobbing and wailing on a street corner after the stranger dared to say “no” to her. The Milan trip came before and after several instances where Lindsay was a “hot mess” in various London hot spots. On April 15th, outside of Cirque le Soir, “Lindsay was a hot mess. Her belly was falling out of her jeans. People were embarrassed for her.” Another source tells Star, “Lindsay has been partying nonstop in London… she stays up late drinking, eats bad food because she’s hung over, then does it all over again the next day.”

    It’s unbelievable to me that this is still going on. She clearly has no intention of meeting the requirements that kept her out of jail, so toss her in.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

      It really is outrageous. I don’t understand why they are so lenient.

    • Snazzy says:

      In a way it’s kind of expected that she’s a total crackastropy because she never really is held accountable for anything, is she?

      She really should get tossed in jail, and not just for 20 minutes …

    • BangersandMash says:

      Yeah, she hits 29 this year…. Her hot mess party girl 20’s are okay… But when you’re in your 30’s and still being a hot mess?

      I’m holding out for her, and hoping for the best though, because addiction cripples, and from what I see, she’s addicted to a lifestyle more than anything else.

      • Mia4S says:

        Yeah the whole “it’s my college years” excuse rings awfully hollow now (what is this, a PhD?). You can party after 30, of course!…but while there’s something fabulous about a 30+ woman partying after a hard work shift or celebrating a promotion; there’s something awful about a 30+ woman partying to try and stay relevant and calling that her work.

    • PoppyAdair says:

      I suspect the judge does not want to sentence her to jail time because of the overcrowding problems. Nonviolent offenders like Lindsay often serve mere hours of their sentences because the jail must release them to keep more serious and violent offenders locked up and off the streets. In a bizarre way extending her probation and forcing her to do more community service time might be a harsher punishment than jail. Still, Lindsay knows that this circus must end at some point because the judge cannot keep extending her probation and community service forever. Instead of being a mature adult and just doing her service like a normal person she just has to push the limits.

      • Lady D says:

        If jail isn’t going to work, put her in prison. This trick has spent her entire 20’s on probation, violating left, right, front, and centre. It is time and way past time… ya who am I kidding? I did get a good laugh yesterday when the judge in her case said that if she didn’t have her hours finished by the 28th, there would be consequences.

      • BearcatLawyer says:

        Since reckless driving is a misdemeanor, prison is not an option. Even if it were, overcrowding is a big problem in California state prisons too. Now if they could only reopen and revoke her probation on the necklace theft case (which was terminated last year), then maybe she would face real prison time.

    • Caitlinsmommy says:

      Well, she lives in London now- if an arrest warrant is issued, all she has to do is refrain from returning to the US. It’s not like the UK will extradite her for a probation violation. So really, if she violates and can’t come back to the US due to outstanding warrants, it’s our gain!

      • jwoolman says:

        Eventually she will be kicked out of the UK. She’s probably convinced them that she’s “working” because of that one play but eventually people will start complaining about her. Or she will steal something and get caught. At least she doesn’t seem to drive over there.

    • Petee says:

      They always write something about her on the Daily Mail.She just moved there so she could party and be closer to the men that pay for her company.That top picture alone should tell anyone she is not sober what so ever.

    • Jasper says:

      It irritates me that she gets so many chances, I didn’t, I was thrown in jail on my FIRST offense (Not drug or drinking related). I can’t complain though, it’s just sad to see her get chance after chance because she’s rich while normal people like me get nailed lol.

    • ISO says:

      Look, she’s not a hard core criminal. Take away her license to drive and take a percentage out of her earnings a la custody payments, but she’s not hurting anyone. Jail isn’t a daycare for minor offenders, and I’m not paying for party girl vacations with my tax dollars.

  2. Vampi says:

    The Teflon Cracken strikes again. Just…ugh.

    • Bread and Circuses says:

      😀 “The Teflon Cracken” — that’s perfect!

    • phlyfiremama says:

      LOL~but THIS time, ya’ll I’m SURE the justice system will punish the teflon Cracken (*snark)

  3. Pinky says:

    “The City Attorney laughed her out of court and the judge ordered her to do an additional 125 hours by May 28th.” Actually, the 125 hours were supposed to be completed by May 7th. That’s why her lawyers were in court yesterday–to plead for more time (and she was given until May 28th to do the rest).

    • Jag says:

      Why don’t they just take a picture of the judge kissing Lindsay’s feet – or rear – and get it over with? She’s never going to have to do anything regarding her punishment, and she’ll keep stealing and getting away with things until she dies.

    • Montrealise says:

      May 28 is less than three weeks away. For Lilo to complete 125 hours of community service by then, she has to do more than 6 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ain’t gonna happen. Does anyone want to bet that the ‘consequences’ the judge was talking about will be just another extension?

  4. NewWester says:

    I wish one of these tabloids would do a story on how Lindsay can afford her jet set lifestyle. Besides that play in London, what other work has she done? Even though her choice in clothes can be a little bewildering at times, I don’t think they are cheap in price. Plus I doubt when she flies it is in coach.

    • Rocket says:

      “How Lindsay can afford her jet set lifestyle”

      She gets paid to make club appearances. Just kidding. Shes a call girl/escort.

    • Greek chic says:

      Her clothes are crazy expensive! In these photos the first belt is Chanel and the other is Hermes..and she’s holding a Valentino bag.
      If you look at her Instagram you’ll see that she has so many clothes and all of them are from luxury brands.
      Does she have any hit other than “Mean Girls”? And this was ages ago…
      She’s so broke that she’s promoting detox tea on Instagram. Detox tea pays well!

      • Chibichchai says:

        It’s probably funded by the person who gave her that ring on her finger. It’s probably not an engagement ring but a placation ring.

      • msw says:

        She probably stole or grifted at least some of that stuff.

      • Mia4S says:

        The clothes etc. are her only fulfillment. Remember the “live your dream” tweet on the private jet showing off the purse? She can delude herself as long as she “looks successful”. She thinks we’ll be deluded too and will think she’s on Jennifer Lawrence level because they both have Chanel. That’s why she hordes too and would spend/ask for jewlery rather than money to train at LAMDA or something. It’s pitiful actually.

    • Hautie says:

      “Chibichchai says… It’s probably funded by the person who gave her that ring on her finger. It’s probably not an engagement ring but a placation ring. ”
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      HA! I notice the jewelry too!
      Lohan has stepped up her porta-potty game. Better dates. Better jewelry. Better clothes. I also agree that is why she is based in London. Much easier to move around Europe from London. Easier to book those dates, when you can be practically anywhere in 2 hours.
      Yet, I bet she loses all of it (jewelry/clothes) within weeks of obtaining it. Lohan has never been able to save for a rainy day. Or take care of anything. Including herself.
      If you want to know what Lohan’s future looks like. Just take a peek at Tara Reid. She has been living this life style for the last decade. Girls who hustle like this… age like crap.
      • The Other Katherine says:
        Yup, London is convenient for direct flights to oil-rich Middle Eastern kingdoms. A lot of obscenely rich men there (and, of course, the strict Sharia laws about sexual conduct are for the little people, not sheiks). She can probably keep herself in designer handbags for at least another 5 years.
    • Bridget says:
      Lohan is very litigious. It’s a way of trying to get ‘easy’ money from entities that want to avoid an expensive lawsuit. It’s pretty much a guarantee that she’d sue over the story and it’s probably not worth the headache of pissing off her patrons or paying the lawyers fees.
  5. TX says:
    Nothing will happen to her. No wonder she doesn’t take this seriously, who would?
  6. Grace says:
    I feel badly for her. I know that’s not a popular sentiment on this site. Whatever happens in court, I hope one day she can get her act together. I have seen people in worse shape finally get it together later in life.
    • Rocket says:
      +1
      Shitty person but its pretty clear she has untreated Borderline Personality Disorder.
    • Shambles says:
      I hear you. That picture of her taking a duck-face selfie struck me, because of the guy in the background laughing his a$$ off. This is pure speculation, and someone might have just said something really funny. But I find that particular image really striking because I feel like it’s a really accurate representation of what her existence is like. She grew up in a fishbowl, and now she’s just a joke– a spectacle. It is really sad.
    • swack says:
      I would feel bad for her if she at least tried to get her life together but she hasn’t. She has had several trips to rehab and has not taken them seriously. She has been given more opportunities than any normal person would be given. People still hire her (I don’t know why) in spite of her reputation (showing up late, not knowing her lines, etc). I also blame the system for giving into her every time she doesn’t complete what she is suppose to do.
    • msw says:
      I feel bad for her too. Which does not mean she is unaccountable. Lindsay has had more chances than most to get treatment, which she has torpedoed at every opportunity. I feel for her because she clearly grew up without any guidance or morals and was taught to use everyone around her, just like her family used her. Nonetheless, she doesn’t get a free pass to be a disgusting, selfish person at 29 years old because of what happened to her as a child, especially when she was given so many chances (and still gets them!).
      TLDR you can have compassion for someone and still find their behavior unacceptable. I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but a lot of people seem to find these two things mutually exclusive.
      • idsmith says:
        I completely agree with you. I think part of the problem is that she has been given so many chances. When someone gets chance after chance after chance they don’t take anything seriously. Perhaps if she had to face real consequences years ago she may have smartened up – but really, why would she take anything seriously at all now. Whey do they expect her to suddenly wake up and figure things out? She never will at this point. It’s very sad.
    • Bridget says:
      I feel bad for her in the way that I feel bad for the Kardashians. She leads such an empty life – no real friends, just hangers-on that she parties with. No real relationships, just patrons. No direction, nothing of real substance in her life, just pap walks and the endless quest for fame. And yet she still thinks it’s all worth it because she thinks the fame makes her better than everyone else and more important.
    • Bria says:
      It’s also disheartening bc she seems to be doing well in London…she’s seperated herself from a lot of “toxic” influences in the US. I’m disappointed that she hasn’t fulfilled her community service requirement, it’s almost seems as though it’s “beneath her”
      • Lady D says:
        She said that about her first community service job. It was at the women’s shelter in LA, and she didn’t ‘find it fulfilling.’
  7. smee says:
    Just do the effing hours already.
  8. Enn says:
    Lindsay is a liar and water is wet.
    Can we talk about what looks like an engagement ring on her left hand?
  9. Macey says:
    the air kissing poses needs to stop, she looks ridiculous.
  10. Mia4S says:
    Yep only one community service centre in a tiny little town like London! Also, a car service? Lilo’s too good for the Tube? Sir Paul McCartney takes the Tube! Get a grip Cracken!
    Her lawyer made it sound like she’s coming back to New York?! I’m so sorry NYC, I’m ready to help with evacuations however I can.
  11. grabbyhands says:
    Oh my, Lohan didn’t do her community service and despite all blather to the contrary, there will be and will probably never be any “consequences”. Lather, rinse, repeat.
    And she wonders why no one is breaking down her door to work with her again.
  12. Katydid20 says:
    Wow, seeing an article about her on this site has made me realize how little I care about her anymore. Kinda like that she’s gone and irrelevant at this point……..
  13. Tough Cookie says:
    Those blowing kisses pics always gross me out.
  14. bettyrose says:
    Since it’s well established at this point that rules don’t appreciate to Lindsay, and we can only speculate on what services she has to provide to earn those special protections, what’s even the point any more? Lindsay occupies her own private hell and there’s nothing we can do about it.
  15. The Original G says:
    You know the judge will do anything to stop hearing about her…….
  16. briargal says:
    Just shows once again the preferential treatment that celebs get. If this were a regular common citizen, they would be in jail. Or house arrest. How about putting her in a house with no phone, no TV, computer, iPad, etc., no guests and enough food (no alcolhol, drugs, etc.) for 6 weeks. Bars on the window and a 300 pound bouncer at the door to inforce the isolation. Of course the walls should be well padded as this stupid, entitled little tramp would be bouncing around like a ping pong ball. Yeah, her parents are at fault with some of this mess. But it’s about time she becomes responsible for her own actions. Sorry, but no sympathy from me.
  17. jwoolman says:
    She does this every time and that’s why she’s been on probation for so many years. She procrastinates rather than just blasting through the community service as fast as possible. Then she gets an extension and still doesn’t do it unless the judge puts her on a really tight schedule (as happened with the jewelry theft sentence, she had to report monthly to the judge and was well supervised at the morgue when she was fired by the women’s center). She’s like a toddler.
    They should just set her up picking up trash on the highway for a few weeks, forget about these special “charity” tasks. Those are for normal adults, not toddlers like Lindsay. The girl needs close supervision. In an orange jumpsuit. Really.
    If she still fails to complete the CS requirement, they should repeat the forced no-day-pass rehab for a few months. She hated that and she couldn’t get released for overcrowding. Plus she looked much healthier at the end of it, so the time out worked briefly. I think 3 months is too short, though, she needs a longer time out. More like a year might actually help her and would give the legal system a respite from dealing with the lass.
    • Hautie says:
      Even Paris Hilton is asking why Lohan has not went to jail. Geez, Paris Hilton even ended up doing time over her DUI/driving on a suspended license. And we all know Lohan laughed her ass off, when it happen to Paris.
      So one has to wonder. Why is it that LA had no problem locking up Hilton. But has not felt the need to toss Lohan in a cell. For much worse behavior.
      Yet, I am curious who is paying the lawyers bill. Didn’t Miss Holley fire Lindsay, for being a dead beat client? Owned Shawn a substantial piece of cash, if I recall. Who paid that off I wonder….
      • Bread and Circuses says:
        Paris went to jail because the judge specifically ordered that her sentence not be altered in any way — she had to do the full sentence, in prison. Otherwise she would have been out within a day (and in fact was; the judge had to order her to be taken back into custody after she was released early.)
        The prison overcrowding problem was in effect then, but not as bad as it became. California’s legal system is really struggling with keeping dangerous people off the street, and Lohan is only occasionally dangerous. (Mostly, she’s just obnoxious.)
      • jwoolman says:
        Paris Hilton also made the huge mistake of directly lying to the judge. She engaged in other scofflaw behavior, as did her mom in court (surprised mom didn’t get hit with contempt of court). The judge figured out the only way to make an impact was a little jail time. Fines, confiscation of her car would mean nothing. Paris had been kindly treated but didn’t respond well to kindness. The Hilton family, like the Lohan family, tried to smear the judge for treating their little princess like a regular person.
  18. Virgilia Coriolanus says:
    Some people are just ungrateful and unappreciative of the chances they get. One of my aunts was getting gov’t housing for $100 a month–a house with a full basement, one bathroom, and three bedrooms. All she had to do was perform community service (something like 100 hours in a year; I know that it would’ve been like 3-4 hours of service a week)…..and she didn’t do it. AT ALL.
  19. Meggin says:
    Ugh. She’s a mess. She needs serious jail time
  20. Lucy says:
    Those kiss blowing pictures…good lord.
  21. Ali says:
    She’s an addict with borderline personality disorder. Community service isn’t going to help her. Neither will prison. She needs a secure facility where she has no access to drugs or alcohol and where she can have the appropriate therapy for her mental health issues.
    I think her problems have been so publicised over the years and she’s become such a joke that even if she does overcome her issues it’s going to be very difficult to be accepted and taken seriously by others. She’ll have people sneering and laughing at her for a very long time which can be a huge obstacle to recovery.
    She also needs to cut out her awful fame whore parents who always find a way to bring her down.
    I can feel a bit sorry for her given the horrifically embarrassing mess that she’s become. She had plenty of opportunity when she was young to build a great life for herself so not too much sympathy.
  22. JenniferJustice says:
    Is she ever going to go before a judge who will be completely non-biased and sentence, hold her accountable to meet said sentence just as they would if it were any regular joe before them?
    • Bread and Circuses says:
      The problem is California’s prisons are so overcrowded that the judge’s sentence effectively gets overturned by prison officials who must keep prison conditions livable.
      • Bob Loblaw says:
        The judge can dish out a punishment but the sheriff has to deal with it. Lindsay would require special treatment and would be a huge expense, understandably, he doesn’t want to deal with her. Plus, she’s not a dangerous felon, just an entitled twit, and he can’t just lock her up with everyone else because she’ll get herself stabbed and then sue the state. Nobody wants that.
    • jwoolman says:
      Her judges have indeed been treating her like everybody else. But she can pay a skilled lawyer $400/hour to obstruct the process. The judges also have to deal with the reality that the sheriff will let her loose after two minutes and they can’t stop him. So they look for other ways to minimize her scofflaw behavior. She’s had a lot of forced rehab, and the last one was very strict. She did spend more than a week in jail before one rehab stint. The judges have also included mandatory therapy sessions while on probation – even three times a week. They have her psych evaluations, they know she has deep problems. She spent a month on house arrest. She spent another few weeks working at the morgue. The judges keep trying, but there are legal limits to what they can do with her and how much they can insist upon in the implementation of their sentences. She’s a very time-consuming offender.
  23. Melody says:
    As part of the community, I thank her for her non-service.
  24. cakecakecake says:
    Geez, the pics made me cackle even louder, Miss Crackle is a partying, train wreck.
    it tickles me and then I feel bad for laughing, she is so pathetic.
  25. Lucky Charm says:
    Oh, I’m sure she’s performing her service to the community, only it’s the type of community service she can’t tell the judge she’s doing.
  26. Capepopsie says:
    So, what’s new?
    I’m just waiting for the big melt-down.
    Nobody can go on like this Forever,
    Not even LiLo. I do hope she gets help
    Before she screws up her life completely!
  27. anne_000 says:
    TMZ says that those less than ten hours she’s supposedly done are now suspect.
    It involved organizing and putting photos up on the community service organization’s Facebook site. A staff member gave her a memory stick, which allowed Lindsay to do the work from home, which means that there was no supervision and no way of knowing whether the work was done by Lindsay or an assistant.
    TMZ says that the organization has sent an apology to the judge for screw up.
    Iirc… Remember that this is the same organization that gave her credit for acting in a play and for her meet and greets before or after her play and for which she got them a donation of $10,000. I don’t know why the judge allowed them to continue being her CS org. of choice. Ridiculous. They keep screwing with the court over her hours.
  28. Cankles says:
    “She has to hire a car service for the three hour round trip.” Is there some reason she can’t take the damn Tube like everyone else?
  29. novaleenationstate says:
    It must be so sad to be surrounded by people all the time, but have no one in your life who truly loves you more than they do themselves.
    Other than that, I’m in the who cares camp. If Lindsay wasn’t instantly recognizable (ish) as the kid from Parent Trap and the teen from Mean Girls, she’d just be some other hustler-hooker sort on the pay-no-mind list, except she’d be accountable for her actions in a very real way, unlike now. She’s proven time and again that she’s not respectful, responsible or deserving of these infinite get out of jail free cards. But here’s the rub: homegirl’s real punishment is having to live with herself day in and day out. What she has to do to get by, all the Johns (because lets be real, it’s very obvious that’s how she gets by) she has to hustle up constantly to keep herself in the lifestyle she grew accustomed to – it’s worse than whatever a judge could cook up for her. That, plus living with the knowledge that she’s an utter laughing stock — to us and throughout her former industry. She acts like she still thinks it’s 2005, but trust me, I’m sure she’s very aware that it isn’t. Much of what we see antic-wise stems from her sickness; I think the other is the last shred of her pride. I think she started partying because it was the scene and she was young and impressionable in the Paris Hilton/Brandon Davis/Mischa Barton-dominated crowd. She does it now because she’s an addict, and if she gets clean, she has to face up to the fact that she had the world in her grasp — fame, opportunities, money, natural beauty — and she pissed it all away. She’s never getting it back either, because people don’t want a Lindsay Lohan comeback story — she’s proven herself to be too much of a lazy, entitled jerk, and there are many other young women, more talented and fresh-faced and hardworking, who don’t have the bad reputation she does. Hell, even Kim Kardashian is more deserving IMO of the fame and attention she has than Lindsay is right now — say what you will about Kim, at least she seems hardworking and there are no stories of her being a constant cracked out, belligerent and unprofessional asshole all the time, or even like at all. Tbh, who would really want to dry out if facing up to all that was the reality? Either way, I wouldn’t wish Lindsay Lohan’s current state on my worst enemy.
  30. Meatball says:
    She seems to have the same mentality as my 5 year old. You ask her to do something and she randomly does something else because it is “really important” and then after she thinks enough time has passed she goes back to playing around, hoping that I forgot about what I originally asked her to do.
    It seems Lindsay thinks (and has been proven right) that if she ignores it long enough it will go away.
    • jwoolman says:
      Yes. Lindsay needs very close supervision to complete anything. People keep assuming she’s an adult but she really isn’t. She never should have been allowed to do any kind of open-ended community service. She needs someone hovering over her every minute, making sure she does the task. Preferably a very simple task, like cleaning or picking up trash. At least your five year old will eventually mature. With Lindsay, this is probably as good as it gets. She’s permanently stunted.
  31. Barbara says:
    She actually is now on the verge of losing those 9 1/2 hrs. The head of the outfit notified the court of a foul up with letting her do it at home. (posting pictures on FB them) This was against the rules. She could have had one of her flunkies do it for her.
  32. Tracy says:
    Shocking! said no one ever.
  33. Green Is Good says:
    Well *gasp*. Lemme clutch my pearls now.
    Teflon twat>:(
  34. Debbie says:
    Some Preparation H will help those ‘roids. Wait, those are lips???
  35. Veronica says:
    She’s more responsible than not for the mess of her life, but it’s still more than vaguely unsettling watch somebody that young destroy their potential.
  36. Jessica says:
    I think the reason why they let her slide is because they know she is headed 6 feet under. I don’t think they really care and they are letting Lindsay implode all on her own.
    at this point, I would just let her drink and drug herself until she dies. Everyone knows she is going to anyways and it sounds like even she does not care if she dies at an early age.
