Interestingly enough, we just discussed Orlando Bloom’s new romance and here we are talking about Miranda Kerr perhaps going for a tech whiz kid. Emphasis on “kid”! According to Radar (side-eye), Miranda has been spending time with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel. Spiegel is only 25 years old! Miranda is 32. Not a huge age difference, but there’s a vast difference in life experience. She’s a divorcee, a single mother and she’s been around the world with a more than decade-long modeling career. Evan Spiegel grew up in California, he’s been cloistered in a world of money for all of his life and he’s very much a douche-bro frat boy. Seriously, go and read those NSFW emails and tell me that doesn’t taint your idea of him. But for some reason, as I write it all out, this pairing makes more sense.

Though her romance with billionaire businessman James Packer was never officially confirmed, it seems Miranda Kerr has already moved on to a younger beau – Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel! According to Australia’s Media Diary, the supermodel attended the 62nd edition of Cannes — an event for advertising executives — where the big news got out.

Meanwhile, ex Packer has moved on to singer Mariah Carey. The pair has been spotted getting hot-and-heavy all over Capri on a romantic vacation.

Much younger than Packer, Spiegel just recently celebrated his 25th birthday, but has earned his CEO rap with the Snapchat app now valued at a whopping $16 billion.

Speigel is no stranger to dating celebrities either. He has previously been linked to pop star Taylor Swift, who recently went public with her Calvin Harris relationship. It’s hard to keep up!

I’m not sure if Taylor Swift ever really dated Spiegel. At one point, they were in the same vicinity and I think they were introduced, but that doesn’t mean they dated. But Miranda? Yeah, I could see it. I also think it’s “interesting” that Miranda is basically doing corporate gigs now – she gets paid to show up at corporate events at Cannes to “pretty up” the event. It’s a pretty common practice in LA, NYC and Silicon Valley, although they usually don’t hire models with Miranda’s kind of name recognition.

Speaking of Miranda’s career these days, there was a rumor going around this week that Miranda was in negotiations to return to Victoria’s Secret (after she left for greener pastures several years ago). It would have been a decent move for both VS and Kerr – many of the big-name models have left VS in the past few years and the VS runway shows are quickly becoming a parade of “who’s that?” On Miranda’s side, I think she believed she would be working non-stop after VS and that really hasn’t happened (see above, she’s now doing corporate gigs). But in any case, VS denied that they were negotiating with Miranda. Hm.

Oh, and after I wrote this all up, Us Weekly confirmed it – Spiegel and Kerr are dating. They were seen getting “cozy” in Venice, California a few days ago and an eyewitness says they looked “really into each other.”
