Oh, Blranda! Where did it all go wrong? It’s sort of unbelievable to think how Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert fell apart so quickly, not to mention how they managed to have one of the fastest divorces in celebrity history. Not to mention how the gossip around the split escalated to DEFCON 1 in record time. Team Blake threw their side of the story out first, claiming Miranda didn’t want babies and that she was a dirty low-down cheater. Team Miranda came out yesterday saying NO, Blake was the cheater, obviously. My question: is this an either/or proposition? Can’t it be BOTH? What if they were both cheating? Anyway, the latest attack comes from Team Blake, via Access Hollywood. According to their Team Blake sources, Miranda admitted a “long time affair” and that why Blake filed for divorce so suddenly.
New details continue to emerge following Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s shocking split. While reports of infidelity have swirled around the couple – with both Blake and Miranda as the targets of the rumors, a source now tells Access Hollywood that it was Miranda who cheated.
According to the source, the country songstress had a “long time affair” with someone in the music business and when Blake confronted her about it, she admitted to it. It was then that the “Voice” coach decided to end the marriage.
The source – who claimed that Blake has never cheated on Miranda – also shot down the rumor that differing opinions on having children caused the split, noting that discussions about having kids had nothing to do with the breakup.
Do you believe this? I’m at the point in the he-said/she-said gossip that I sort of believe everything and nothing. I believe Blake is really going after Miranda. HARD. I also believe that he might have some legitimate “reasons” for going after her. And of course I believe that Blake was cheating too, because seriously, so many rumors about that and those rumors have been around for YEARS.
The name I keep hearing with regards to Blake’s “other woman” is Cady Groves. Radar has a story about Cady possibly tweeting a bunch of stuff this week that seemed aimed at Blake. I don’t know? Whatever.
A few more things – Blake and Miranda have both deleted their social media photos of each other. Miranda has canceled one concert and Blake is back at work on The Voice in LA. Which leads me to this TMZ story up this morning – TMZ’s sources say the marriage fell apart because Blake was too ambitious and he prioritized The Voice over their marriage. Miranda “felt like an abandoned wife…She says he had to spend between 7 and 8 months a year in Los Angeles … a place she ‘hates.'” Miranda would still come to visit him in LA, even if it was just for a day, but Blake would rarely make time to come see her when she was in Oklahoma or on the road. Considering that Blake is (even now) back in LA, the messaging definitely seems to be “business as usual for Blake while Miranda is devastated.”

EXACTLY. You called it. Access Hollywood as you sated is OWNED by NBC Universal, and, as such, they always talk up The Voice with exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes exclusives. It serves nothing more than to be the infotainment arm of NBC and its shows. I am HIGHLY SKEPTICAL of any TRUTH that comes from Access because it is inherently biased at the onset. That being said, I do think that both have cheated in some capacity. Blake strikes me as the type of guy that is just fine with cheating on a woman, but …the moment she cheats on him… it is over.
They are not playing this thing correctly, AT ALL. No basket of kittens, no carrying puppies? Freakin’ amateurs.

Some of that may be true, but people treat Lainey like she is gospel because out of years of weekly blinds, she has had a few that are high profile that have been proven true, but she is every bit as much part of the publicists’ agenda machine as U.S., People, etc. I’m no fan of either Blake or Miranda but the tone and urgency of that blind wasn’t her burning desire to get the “truth”out. She is a player as much as anyone else, and she is obviously playing for Blake’s team.
Yikes. Really wonder why they didn’t just go with the “oh, we grew apart and will always be fond of each other” route. Not that I think she’s a sweet and innocent victim in all of this, but his PR team’s shenanigans come across as doth protesting too much.

Exactly. If Blake cheated during the marriage, he has no right to be this angry if it turns out that Miranda cheated as well. Two birds of a feather. He seems VERY bitter and outraged. Seems like sour grapes because he thought he could cheat while still having a devoted and loyal wife at home. I also think he is overcompensating because there are so many rumors about his cheating past. He wants to drag Miranda in the dirt with him and get his fan base riled up on his side and against Miranda. It is very petty.

I have my suspicions about Blake but if the blind Lainey had up yesterday is about Miranda Lambert and it is true, she’s truly an awful person. Cheating is one thing but to steal songs from other artists is terrible. And for her to try to blackball whoever refused her advances? Ugh. Blake’s a drunk, a cheat and a jerk but he owns it. He’s never hid who he was. I don’t understand the hate against Blake. So he’s a cheat. Uh, so is Miranda since she knew he was married when they first met and began to date him. It’s pretty clear one party in this breakup is furious – Blake filed quickly and decisively, and even had Miranda vacate all her animals off their ranch. He’s clearly furious and she’s scrambling to get her bearings.
Just because the blind is one sided doesn’t make it less true. And most of her blinds turn out to be true. There have been cheating rumors surrounding both Blake and Miranda before and during their marriage. The tabloids were all over a Miranda Lambert story a few years back where she either tried to hook up with Luke Bryan or Eric Church. Considering how close Luke and Blake are it was probably Eric Church. Yes, they were just rumors and it was tabloids.. but where there is smoke, there is fire. She chose to date a married man, her morals are just as bad as Blake’s.

Actually, look through L’s blinds, Tammy. It’s not that large of a percentage that turn out to be true, but she is a close source for publicists and she does the bidding of studios trying to stir up interests, Publicists trying to create images for their stars, etc. I believe Part of that could be true, and Ran definitely swiped that Kacey M song, but this whole Miranda is crazy and goes after men like a “wrecking ball” while poor Blake is devastated is definitely got NBC Universal all over it.

The only way Blake isn’t being a massive hypocrite about Miranda’s cheating is if the 3rd party is married with kids. If not and this is more about Miranda having another relationship instead of a sexual fling or her not being the long-suffering loyal wifey while he did what he wanted, then hope it’s a matter of time before his hypocrisy comes to light.
Blake is majorly pissed about something, most people don’t just up and file for divorce like this, and she must know he has something on her or simply not care because she didn’t fight the divorce at all, fastest settlement ever. Something pretty bad definitely happened!

I don’t know what happened (obviously), so I won’t speculate about who cheated and who didn’t. But it did strike me as odd that he filed and she didn’t seem to put up much of a fight – this was all settled very quicky. Maybe it was just “time” and both of them were over the marriage (who knows), but this seems so strange to me.

Sorry but him going back to The Voice after this means he prioritized it over his marriage? Was he supposed to stay home and cry, while he has a contract to fulfill? Or was he supposed to hide for weeks so everyone could assume he was drinking nonstop and people can say oh he’s such a drunk this is why Miranda cheated on him ?
