It’s obvious that the former nanny who slept with Ben Affleck, a 28 year-old woman named Christine Ouzounian, is super hungry for fame. She’s been telling her story and her background to just about anyone who will listen. Page Six reports that Ouzounian has “hired a crisis p.r. firm,” as if she would have needed one if she just would have slinked away. It looks like Ouzounian thinks she’s going to parlay her brief affair with Affleck into some sort of media career, as it’s unlikely she’ll be able to work as a nanny again.
As I wonder what her end game could be, there’s a new report in Hollywood Life claiming that Ouzounian’s next move is to sue Jennifer Garner for wrongful termination. Garner, as you recall, reportedly fired Ouzounian after she discovered that Ouzounian had been intimate with Affleck in the Bahamas, while Ouzounian was there in her official capacity as their children’s nanny. According to Hollywood Life, Garner actually fired Ouzonian when she discovered that Affleck took the nanny with him to Vegas. Ouzounanin has reportedly met with lawyers about suing Garner for sacking her. Here’s more:
“Ben asked Christina if she wanted to fly back to Los Angeles with him from the Bahamas. He assured her it was OK. Technically, he was her boss, not Jen. But along the way, he convinced her to go to Las Vegas with him for his poker tournament. They even stopped and picked up Tom Brady for the trip. While in Vegas, Ben hid Christine the entire time,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Jen eventually found out. And that’s when all hell broke loose.
“When they got back to LA, Jen heard about their trip without the kids and flipped out. She fired Christine right away and Ben did nothing about it. Christine’s upset and has met with attorneys to file a wrongful termination suit against Jen. In truth, Christine would rather be Ben’s girlfriend than nanny. She has strong feelings for him and wishes he wanted a relationship,” our source adds.
This report is not entirely consistent with the previous stories about Garner discovering her husband’s affair (yes they were separated but I’m still calling it an affair) either right after Ouzounian and Affleck left the Bahamas or while they were there.
I had a chance to read US Magazine’s print edition of this story, and US claims that Garner figured out that something was going on when both Affleck and the nanny were in the Bahamas. It’s still possible that both US and Hollywood Life’s versions are true; that Garner suspected something was going on and that her suspicions were confirmed when she learned that Ouzounian and Affleck were together in Vegas. Here are the highlights from US’s report. The quoted text is from US and the rest is in my own words:
Garner sent Ouzounian and Affleck home from the Bahamas when she “saw something that confirmed her long-held suspicions Ouzonian was more interested in Affleck than she was in babysitting.”
Ouzounian thought Affleck was in it for keeps. “She says Ben really, really likes her. They’ve even talked about living together. She’s saying this is true love. She says he sends her texts and emails saying that he loves her.”
Garner was passive aggressive toward Ouzounian when she noticed her flirting with her husband. “She began lashing out in subtle ways. She’d be like ‘Oh, why don’t you ride in the back?’ Or, ‘Go fold the kids’ clothes.’” Garner did give Ouzounian a poor performance evaluation with the nanny agency and said “she wanted her to spend less time with Ben and focus more on the kids.”
US has long lens photos of Ouzounian driving Affleck’s Lexus and meeting him outside his rented home at night on July 17. She clearly set him up for these, and we’ve previously heard that Affleck was outraged about this.
Affleck sort-of dumped her but she didn’t get it. “He’s telling her she’s so sweet, he doesn’t want to see her torn apart in the public eye. He was saying they need to be more careful and he doesn’t want her to get hurt.”
Ouzounian claims she’s playing hard to get. haha. “She’s pulling away a little but,” but “They’re still talking to each other.”

This woman is a piece of work. Affleck tried to pull back and keep it casual and he didn’t see her for a couple of weeks so she took it to the press. She’s not going to sue, she’s just blowing smoke to get Affleck to come running back to her. It might work if he’s scared enough, but the cat is already out of the bag. Plus she looks supremely entitled for both making this public and for complaining that Garner asked her to do her damn job and watch the kids.
Meanwhile Garner is still in Atlanta filming and she’s still wearing her wedding ring even off set. The photos of her in the white top were taken on Saturday when she made a run to Panera. Some of you have speculated that this means she wants Affleck back. That may be true, but it would be supremely dumb. It’s more likely she’s playing the wronged party for a while, which is her prerogative. She is the wronged party.

Even in an at will state, employers fear lawsuits and carefully document poor performance to justify terminations. But 1) if she’s employed through an agency, they aren’t her employer and 2) even if Jen was the employer, it sounds like she has cause.

There would be some kind of severance pay even if she wasn’t banging the father, etc. Even “clean” firings come with some kind of payout from these kinds of employers, and some kind of additional non-disclosure agreement that reminds the former employee they can’t discuss what went on.

We were discussing the NDA on the previous thread, and as someone else mentioned, these typically cover everything before and after the employment period, most especially here in Hollywood.
As you say, I’m sure the nanny rather arrogantly assumes her own “affairs” after that are exempt, but she may be very wrong about that.
Don’t you think the nanny would be required to sign a confidentiality agreement before working for a celebrity couple? I sign them all the time for much less *sensitive* work than that. Whatever agency this famewho’ worked for should have required this as condition for employment (along with not boning one of the clients).

So listen: back when I interned for a huge Corp, we dealt with celebs. When I was asked to PA for few days for a very well-known actor, I had to, though a loyal not crazy staffer, sign a doc vowing silence, that I wouldn’t sue if anything happened, etc. I don’t remember the wording, just that I thought it was funny.
The NDA covers her time during employment as well as after, I’m sure since that’s when they’re most likely to talk. Is this chick actually talking to media outlets or are the gossip rags getting this from “inside sources”?

The only nanny I’ve ever come into contact with was my uncle’s (ex) girlfriend. And she was a spoiled rich girl from Chicago, whose parents paid for everything–her degree (that she didn’t use and wasn’t child related), her car, her rent, etc…everythang. And she complained about EVERYTHING.

Unrelated degrees, just want to sleep late, be waited on by the family and party at night. Tantrums! if they couldn’t have 5 days off to shop. My friends tried to ease these girls in and then gave up. One found her twins unattended making a mess on the kitchen floor while the nanny had slipped off to a mall. Like they thought it was an extended vacation, and still supported by their doting parents. They would be let go after a few weeks, and daddy would pack them off to Paris.
That said, hardworking responsible nannies can name their prices in NY/London/Munich and enjoy great privileges. The smart ones don’t blow it.

As for the pictures she set up, she dropped him off a bottle of wine? What does that prove? If she can have a camera waiting whose to say she didn’t call him to say she had something to give him and offer it as a thank you for writing her a nice reference. He didn’t greet her with a hug her or a kiss which would be the natural instinct if there was an affair or even a close friendship. She would have made sure to get an embrace if she could have because it would have been worth so much more money so I think she may just be a looney making things up for attention, fame and money.

For example, I have a neighbor who’s not unlike this nanny, a histrionic personality who’s pulled sh*t on men and even other women, like me. When I ignore her as I’m doing now, she’ll do anything to engage me because she’s that desperate for attention, and she’ll create drama to get it.
Just like this nanny, she used to knock on my door and offer me a glass or bottle of wine, and I’d think, oh how nice, though it seemed a bit much. Then I realized I was being groomed and manipulated.
There’s a whole lot more to the story than that, but suffice it to say, liars like her will say anything and constantly change the narrative to confuse people. That’s what this nanny chick is doing right now in the press and why she’s so shameless about it.
And this is why I can actually believe that even if he was tempted, maybe Ben really didn’t sleep with her.
I was also thinking that just because she had the code to come in wouldn’t mean anything if the kids were ever there. Some people (like my darling naive brother) are pretty free with providing such access to anybody. So far it’s not convincing that they were definitely having anything approaching an affair. Even him greeting her with a smile means nothing. Will be interesting to see what happens legally. He might pay her off to get rid of her, but that doesn’t prove he did anything either. Out of court settlements are common because it’s more trouble to fight it in court (that’s how Dina and Lindsay Lohan pick up extra cash for the stupidest claims). But if he goes after her legally, that would clinch the alternative “delusional greedy nanny” scenario.

Isn’t Garner a serial cheater too? Sure, Ben messed up this cycle, but didn’t she cheat on her then husband, or boyfriend, to be with Ben? How would you like to be one of the kids? Violet seems old enough to pick up on what was going on between the lines- if Jen was asking the nanny to pay more attention to kids and leave Ben alone, then I’m sure the kids probably also took notice. I seriously doubt she will sue Jen. I have doubts if she even can sue for being terminated because since there was probably a contract, it probably had a clause about how the employer can terminate “at will”.
In general I find the “Gone Girl” comparisons a stretch. If Ben was not in that movie, no would would be comparing the situations. Especially since Amy did not set out to destroy Nick until after she found out about his betrayal. So it doesn’t fit Jen, who in general I don’t think wants her children to be collateral damage. Really this is just a cliche situation of an egotistical douche cheating with someone who was interested in more than just the novelty of sleeping with a celeb. Now he has been caught and people are searching for a timely comparison.
I don’t think Jen plotted to set him up. However, I do see some similarities with Ben and Nick. Tired of his wife, chasing another younger model, etc.

On 2) she retains a lot of deniability since the tabloids are reporting things she is reported to have said by sources who are all anonymous . If Ben ever had the balls to drag her to court she could just say, “who, me? I didnt say a word. Tabloids are just doing what they do.”
Ben who is contending that the reports are a lie anyway would either have to prove that she made up stories to tell her “friends” who then told the tabloids and nobody in between tampered with the info. Which is impossible to do without the corperation of atleast one of the parties. OR he could admit the stories are true and that the fact that tabloids are regurgitating exactly what happened is the evidence of her breach of NDA. God, this is is painful to watch, isn’t it? It’s like watching some teenager go through all of it for the first time; he loves me…he’s just afraid of how I make him feel…followed by radio silence from him…followed by vows of revenge and acting out. Honey, I know you weren’t around in the late 90s, but there is this book that they made into a movie you might have seen, called Maybe He’s Just Not That Into You. The rest of us lived this kind of drama when we were in our teens and early 20s…the longing for an emotionally unavailable man and the inevitable heartbreak. The opposite of love after all, is not hate, it’s indifference. I can’t wait to get to the part where she gets plastic surgery and highlights and a boob job so that he can “see what he is missing”.

Am watching all parties in this debacle. I think nannygate is the least of Jen’s worries in terms of Ben’s indiscretions. Jen always looks great on talk shows. Her casual wear just doing errands during the day or out and about got better. I don’t think a lot of it is bad at all the last few years for the most part. If the photos of him and the nanny at his rental are on US Weekly print magazine, why haven’t they been grabbed online by some gossip site or why isn’t it even being reported about anywhere. If Ana on here hadn’t said they are on the magazine in stores, I wouldn’t have known. I haven’t had a chance to see the magazine yet, but there’s nothing online about it all, the photos being released. It’s odd.
There was only one photographer (a friend of the nanny) so only one set of photos which was sold to the magazine. They haven’t put the pictures up on their website because they want people to buy the magazine. They won’t sell them to anyone else until the issue is sold out and nobody can’t print them yet because they own the rights. We’ll see the photos next week.

I have been getting US Weekly, somehow I have a complimentary subscription. There are three pictures. One is just of her entering the security code. The second is of him smiling and greeting her, he is looking in the direction of the camera. Then the third, is of them talking in a garage or something, but both are looking towards the direction of the camera.
Is that all? I’m sure he banged her, but I thought there was going to be something incriminating, like kissing or something.
I guess we’ve seen him in constant frown mode for so long that a mere smile seems suggestive.

Jennifer Garner is not perfect but she does seem like a great mother. Who cares what she wears when she is home taking care of kids and running errands. Okay. You guys piqued my interest. I was in the grocery store tonight and just picked up US Weekly because I wanted to see the photos. They were nothing really incriminating but obvious she had use of his car and bringing champagne and him smiling but blurry. But I thought, well, if the photos were sold to his mag, this will be what she wants to say. So I bought it to read the article. There was more in it than online or maybe it’s in so many pieces online. But, wow, is Jennifer an idiot? She saw signs early on. I know the marriage by that point was a mess and ending and she was flying off to do a movie in Canada, but she saw enough that she gave a bad evaluation and still kept her on. And after he got caught, well, the marriage was over, with the announcement finally out, but he’s still texting and calling this girl? And then Ben having sources trying to give his side a little. Ben is a classic narcissist so the divorce is just an opportunity for him to pull a classic “Pity me, love me, I’m a victim whose losing my family.” But sleeping with her during the Bahamas when they were telling their kids, is beyond low on both their parts. You had one job: to support children during the most traumatic time of their lives and you failed.
