Miley Cyrus’ new Interview magazine shoot is straight up pr0n: how far will she go?

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus can’t stop, can she? She will continue to push the next button until there’s nothing left. Her latest stunt comes hot on the heels of her weed, nudity, and cultural appropriation tour at the MTV VMAs. What’s funny is that, two days later, I barely remember any of the nominated or winning videos. The whole show was about Miley’s attention-seeking antics.

There’s a new stunt in Mileyworld. You may not want to look at this, but she has an extremely NSFW photoshoot with Interview magazine. All of the pics are Facetime photos (taken with Mert Alis), and there’s nothing artsy about the nudity. This is straight up porn. Miley on all fours licking the floor, showing off her whole body, and rubbing her favorite region for the camera. Out of all the explicit things she’s done over the past two years, this is actually the most blatant example.

Exactly what does Miley have left to prove at this point? She won’t stop at nudity or sexy poses. She has to do both at the same time, and it honestly feels like the photos are peeking in on some explicit online chatroom. This must have been the full intention of this “shoot,” but it feels so skeevy. Interview hasn’t released the (ha) interview yet. If there is one, I’m sure Miley rambles on about how exposing herself makes people take her seriously, but she’s just so deluded at this point. Her nudity is simply part of her persona now, that’s fine, but Miley doesn’t understand that no one’s paying attention to anything else. Except weed. (Did you know Miley smokes weed?)

Anyway, I need to go close my eyes for a bit to erase the memory of Miley’s girls scarred into my retinas. She’s set to host SNL in early October. Her skits will make constant jokes about nudity, of course. And weed.

    GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Goats on the Roof says:

    What a train wreck.

    • Mimz says:

Nauseating. There is no statement there, no revolutionary nothing, she’s an exhibitionist and found a “good” reason to show every little bit of her body and flaunt her sexuality for… nothing. Unless she’s just telling kids to be naked at all times and be sexual at all times and smoke weed at all times. Great Message Ms. Destiny Hope Cyrus!! Thank you for that!

    • Belle Epoch says:

I really don’t think she is OK mentally. She is using a LOT of drugs to keep up this sexy happy party girl image. It’s all she does, but she forces it to extremes while she’s high, which is always. What would happen to her if she ditched the drugs and cameras and simply sat quietly somewhere? I think she is close to madness.

      • Sochan says:

Dead on, @Belle Epoch. All I see is something dark when I look at her. There is nothing lovely, smart, clever, or happy. It’s all darkness. I mean spiritual darkness, emotional and psychological darkness. I don’t know how Tish and Billy Ray live with themselves. They created this monster by telling her she’s perfect and special in every way since the day she was born. That is why they named her “Destiny Hope”. They created this sociopathic little monster. Even to this day they continue to coddle her and tell her she’s wonderful and amazing, and anyone who doesn’t like it just “doesn’t understand”. Sitting in the audience, smiling, at the VMAs while this child made an a** of herself. I guess the money she gives them is really good.

      • Blue says:

That’s what I see when I look at miley and her antics someone with mental health issues, problem is loony toon miley thinks there is nothing wrong with what she is doing. The whole family needs to seek professional help starting with miley.

      • KT says:

Other than being young and immature and I don’t think there’s anything clinically wrong with her. She has it together enough to collaborate and create new music (even if it sucks) and isn’t wracking up DUI’s, getting busted for coke, or demanding stylists shave her head. Maybe that’s coming but for now I think Miley is desperate to distance herself from Hanna Montana and thinks flashing her tits and making endless weed references is totally outrageous; it’s really not. In fact it’s the kind of coloring in lines “edginess” you’d get from someone who spent half their life on the Disney channel.

      • ImFlying says:

You are correct. Miley is not fine mentally. People might think I am cray, but to me it is pretty obvious that she is under demonic possession. I am very serious, and it is a lot more common than ya’ll might think. Especially in the music and entertainment industry. “Miley” is barely there anymore. Two of the predominate, very ancient, and very powerful demons you see acting out through Miley are Kali and Pan. She has gotten into this mess by her own actions, and agreements. Her ‘handlers’ are in league with the dark side, and now she is in league, full blast. Our souls are where our appetites, lusts, personalities and emotions live. Alot of people say ‘when you die, your soul goes to Heaven or Hell’, when in fact, it is our Spirit. The same Spirit that God our Father breathed into Adam, and us through creation. Anyway, most of ya’ll have heard how you have to ‘sell your soul to Satan’, in order to rise in the ranks, like Madonna, GaGa, Katy Perry, Kanye….list goes on and on. Well, there you see it. Her spirit is still alive, but it looks like demons have been conjured up and are now residing in Miley. She could still get saved, but something drastic would have to happen for her to cooperate and want to turn her life around. With all the $ and attention coming her way, no matter how gently I might try and tell her she needs help, I am sure I would get the big F-U. She probably wouldn’t just moon me, she would probably bend over and spread her butt cheeks at me. Those are the demons in her. It’s very real folks. Very sad, and very dangerous. Go ahead and google image Kali, or Pan. I don’t know if the ones that are in her are smaller versions, or …the actual versions. Who knows. Well, there is still hope until the moment of her last breath. Until then, or her deliverance, we have to see this.

      • KT says:

And then of course, there’s that.

      • ImFlying says:

Hahahhaha. KT, you made me laugh out loud! You are funny. At least you didn’t give me the ol’ F-U treatment. Lol.

      • Belle Epoch says:

I had to look up Kali – to me it’s all very confusing, but anyone who dances around wearing body parts can’t be too lovely. Interesting that Kali is known for having a “lolling tongue.” Who does that sound like?!

  3. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

She’s such a bore. Still waiting for her world changing use of this platform she’s created by masturbating for the camera. Because nobody has ever done that before.

  4. Kate says:

Why is all this ok? Like everyone just accepts the way she acts… Oh it’s just Miley, being Miley. I’m sad her parents didn’t love her enough to step in and say no… To anything she’s done. Like hey, that’s a bad decision, maybe not act that way in the press.. But sure enough, there they were, front and center at the VMAs

    • MrsB says:

Because like many parents these days, they are more worried about being her friends than parents. And, also in her case, there’s the issue of money. If they said something to her, they might be financially cut off, heaven forbid!

      • jwoolman says:

Her parents do not need her money. Her dad is quite rich all on his own and not a spendthrift. Miley always said her dad paid her expenses. Her parents were not dipping into her earnings. That’s why when she turned 18, she had access to such a big bundle of cash.

I think her dad is torn between wanting to be supportive and being horrified at what she’s doing. Money is not the issue, but keeping lines of communication open is. She’s an adult and has the right to make her own decisions, good and bad. I’m sure he’s very worried about her but he’s not the type to throw his daughter under the bus by talking to media directly or indirectly through “sources”.

    • swack says:

Unfortunately the most the parents can do at this point is give her advice (and that’s questionable as to whether they would or not). Whether she takes the advice and actually applies it is another matter. She was their money maker when Billy Ray – the one hit wonder – no longer made the money. They are just as bad as the Kardashian/Jenners when it comes to parenting and guiding their children.

      • Kitten says:

You’re right that there isn’t anything they can do now. They failed as parents IMO.
I just find it so disturbing that she wouldn’t have a moment before doing a photo shoot like this (or all the other ones) where she asks herself “what would my parents think of this?” Or maybe she does and the answer is “they wouldn’t care.”

That probably makes me sound old or not very progressive. I don’t know…. even as an adult, I always want to make my parents proud. Maybe that’s just me…

      • FLORC says:

They’ve never parented from the 1st hand accounts i’ve heard. Very entitled and demanding of others, but never from themselves.
If there was ever an attempt within the last decade it’s been minimal with no follow through. Miley has the power and the money. They need her to like them. Not respect them.

Miley might find sooner rather than later people have bored of her antics like Madge or Gaga and begin to regret her choices of youth.

      • Shambles says:

It definitely doesn’t make you backward to want to make your parents proud, Kitten. Parents do a lot for us, and I feel like the least we owe them is a good night’s sleep knowing that the person they made is a functional, non-perpetually-and-publicly-naked adult.

      • Absolutely says:

Watching the very small portion of the VMAs that I did see, all I could do was shake my head and think “her poor parents”. Perhaps this was born of poor parenting, but sometimes even decent parenting comes out with unspectacular results.

      • Wren says:

I don’t care much about making my parents proud, but since they raised me to have some dignity it’s not a question I need ask myself before I do things.

      • Neah23 says:

I agree and this is how they let their 15 year old who the have control over dress.

      • Lady D says:

Does she not think about her future? She may one day have children who will be asking questions.

    • Christin says:

All I am waiting for is the inevitable unauthorized bio that strips away (no pun intended) the background of her parents getting together and her childhood. I think a lot of answers can be found in those years.

There are a lot of little tidbits on the Web about her parents, and I am just waiting for the writer who has the guts to dig into this thoroughly and in a balanced way.

      • Tilly says:

The mother (Tish) is also Miley’s manager and very clearly encourages all that she does. It’s no coincidence that she and Billy Ray often double date with Kris Jenner and Corey Gambler (Corey is nothing in this; he’s just a paid-for boyfriend @ $10k a month to keep up with the pretense).

Read the GQ interview that Billy Ray did a while back – it’s quite insightful.

  5. CidySmiley says:

She makes me so mad. I know that she stands for some good causes but her “try too hard.” Is bothering me. Instead of fighting for the causes and coming out on top she makes it look like a satire. Like one huge joke. She is a walking satire. I get trying to break free of your Disney persona, but at this point you’ve made yourself into a rebelling teenager.

    • Tiffany :) says:

      Well said!

    • Kitten says:

I feel the same way about Miley as I do about Nicki Minaj or Taylor Swift. Yes, they have moments where they’re doing/saying something that *could* be seen as positive, but they ruin it with their juvenile, attention-seeking behavior.

Again, I’m so happy that I’m past this generation. Also happy that I don’t listen to pop music.

  6. Sawhatwhen says:

Actually, it’s not just Miley. I bravely looked at some of the VMA pics and I have to wonder if the women were trying to “outnaked” each other. I had second had embarrassment. I mean Chrissy Tiegen looked so trashy! I don’t know if I was ashamed of John Legend or embarrassed on his behalf. Whose attention are they trying to get?

And surprise surprise them men were fully dressed.

All that’s left is for them to have live sex on NBC. Something that is looking very possible. Because the public outrage seems missing to me.

    • Dvaria says:

considering if you have anything negative to say about this, you are encouraging “slut shaming” and are “pearl clutching” well…I’m just gonna relax and think back to the good old days when this sort of behavior was still considered inappropriate. I have yet to see Miley reference her “happy hippie foundation” projects as much as she posts naked pr0n pics and references marijuana.

      • Beatrice says:

        Oh my! You nailed it.

      • Kitten says:

I think it’s all about how you phrase it, you know. Agree that the *slut-shaming* thing can get tiresome though.

My issue with all those outfits isn’t about the nudity per se, it’s just the fact that the outfits look cheap and tacky. Also, that style is so redundant and uninspired. Like how many versions of the bejeweled panty hose dress must we be forced to see?

I think most of us are over it at this point.

      • Kori says:

and she had a perfect platform during the VMAs as host to draw her attention to the charity. She could’ve even worn an outfit with messages ala Amber Rose during one of her many costume changes. But nada.

    • Beth No. 2 says:

LOL I love your comment. I glanced through the VMA pics on the Celebitchy posts and everyone looked trashy as hell.

    • Aren says:

Exactly. Rihanna’s videos are all porn, even the hardcore kind if you take the bondage one into account.
And Rihanna has also been walking around with sheer clothes for years, gone to strip clubs, toucher herself onstage, etc.
      They’re all the same.

    • Nicolette says:

I agree and I don’t understand why famous women are exposing more and more of themselves. I don’t think it shows any kind of empowerment at all, rather it just shows them lowering the bar until it won’t be able to get any lower. Where’s the self respect? Do they have nothing to offer except flashing their bodies? Sorry, but there’s a lot to be said for leaving something to the imagination. You don’t have to have everything hanging out to be sexy and all they are doing is making themselves look like trash.

      • Chaiselongue says:

The thing is, not one of these permanently naked stars is remotely sexy. Sexual, yes but not sexy. Whatever looks any of them have ( and Miley doesn’t even that), whatever personality/ talent they might have is obscured by the constant nudity.
Two of the most genuinely sexy pop stars ever are Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush. To this day men sigh over their sexiness and women wish they could be like them.
There’s a lot to be said for keeping the mystery of the goods you might have to offer if someone was lucky enough to get with you.

      • imqrious2 says:

It’s because they have NO REAL TALENT! Their nudity is all they have to sell themselves. Compare that to Streisand or Adele… they come on stage (in clothes!), and just SING! No need for pyrotechnics, no strobes, no dry ice, NO AUTOTUNE… Just them, an orchestra (or band), and a mic! WHADDA CONCEPT!!!

    • snakecharmer says:

thats so true. all that is left is for them to have sex live on nbc. it is totally no holds barred right now in the media environment and our culture. i wasnt even shocked at all by the miley pics. and why am i not suprised by an earlier comment that the cyrus parents socialize with kris jenner. it just makes sense. wouldnt you be grossed out and ashamed if your parents saw your sex tape like kim or your pic like miley posted in interview magazine? there is no shame in these peoples game. the parents created it. kris jenner was licking her chops thinking of all the money she would make when she produced kims sex tape and billy ray and tish must be on that same level, however they dont seem as conniving and malicious…

  7. Nina says:

I’m not a prude by any means, but those images are really disturbing. Her body is still so childlike. Add to that her wacky “outfits”, which pay homage to her child-friendly roots, and you have a whole lotta sketchiness.

    • SKF says:

Her body isn’t childlike at all. She used to have big boobs and hips on her but she lost a lot of weight. Her body now is slim. I just don’t need to see it this often or this much!!!

      • Nina says:

I’m talking childlike as in adolescent, not as in prepubescent. Girl still looks like she’s in high school. I wouldn’t even call her slim. She’s just skinny.

      • Nina says:

Body shape aside though, the cartoons-on-acid-teehee wardrobe she loves so much is, alone, really disconcerting when coupled with her risque photoshoots and public antics. Didn’t she wear a diaper somewhere, or express her desire to be seen as an adult baby or something a while back? The sexual/childish look she’s cultivated over the past several years sends really dangerous messages to her audience, many of whom are still teenagers.

      • Belle Epoch says:

Who IS her audience? Seems like only gross old men would care.

    • Tilly says:

Did you see – on the VMAs – when she told Justin Bieber to call her when he’s legal, and then proceeded to push her lady bits forward? How ANYONE can find that funny / inspirational / edgy / not wrong is a mystery to me.

  8. Cran says:

Too young, too rich, too uneducated.

  9. paola says:

I don’t know why she does it. Is it to prove she’s a grown up?
Is it to prove her ex boyfriend that he’s missing on something?
Is it because she wants to show the world that she has no boundaries?
Those pictures are a cry for help in my opinion. I don’t see any other purpose otherwise.

    • Josefa says:

Honey, the purpose is crystal clear: making headlines and have people talk about her. She’s a pop star, that’s how she keeps herself relevant. And, well, here we are. Talking about her.

    • Aren says:

When she did that photoshoot with Terry Richarson she did look very sad, lost and lonely. I think she’s now used to getting attention by stripping naked.

    • WinnieCoopersMom says:

But the nudeness is so frequent and blatant at this point, it does nothing to phase anyone to the point of increasing her fame or status. I just don’t get her endgame or the reasoning of going this far. She will really regret this one day..unless her brain becomes fried from drugs like Ozzy..

  10. Shambles says:

The nakedness is just white noise at this point. My biggest concern are her veneers. They irritate me with their fakeness.

  11. CT says:

:sobs: You said not to look and I did. It cannot not be unseen.

    • smcollins says:

Lol…right?! I’m so ashamed for letting my sick curiosity get the best of me. Damn you, Miley! You win again.

      • StormsMama says:

        Hahha
It’s like modern day Madonna antics
I remember when the Madonna Playboy pics came out
        I remember the Sex book
This is Miley “owning” her sexuality so she can’t be defined by anyone else…or something? She’ll eventually transcend all this — one hopes — and stop with the hyper sexualized one-up-manship. Maybe?
At the end of the day I guess I hope this de stigmatizes a girl being sexual – she’s putting it out there by choice-
But that’s unlikely in a world that still largely sees women as property and/or disposable.
She’s incredibly protected in that way. I wish she would educate herself a bit…but… Meh…

      • Ennie says:

I work with teens, and believe me that they are not very much ashamed or repressed. Sadly, many times they imitate what they see celebs do and act it out in front of their peers…

  12. Ninks says:

If I’d been told those pictures had been stolen from her phone and leaked online, I’d believe it.

  13. Sue says:

Wow she looks like a blow-up doll in the first pink DO IT dress shot! Make the “o” face and she is spot on sex doll!

  14. Yoohoo says:

She looks so much like Justin Bieber in the first picture.

  15. Kate says:

Kim K posted selfies on her Instagram yesterday doing a whole FaceTime photoshoot with that Mert guy for interview magazine. Is this going to be a thing now? Is this art? Or does he just find the celebs that get naked for any kind of attention? If that’s the case, please stop.

  16. minx says:

    Chipmunk cheeks trash.

  17. Ivy says:

That is the result of a professional photo shoot?! It looks your average amateur porn.
Oh Miley, when will you realize that you’re making nothing but a fool of yourself?

  18. M.A.F. says:

Well, it is safe to say that Hannah Montana is dead and gone. Funny part is that I’m sure she thinks she is being original.

  19. Nibbi says:

so i looked. holy wow. yeah, she’s getting attention. cuz damn, there truly is nowhere else to go after this for shock appeal except for straight-up taking a d* on camera, maybe a close-up or two. the last shot in the series is basically porn as it is.

actually, heck, she may as well. she’d probably be the most famous porn star of all time instead of simply being looked down upon as a really trashy starlet/ cautionary tale about child stars. (the whole thing is so cliché.) i vaguely remember that she used to have some vocal talent-? she’d probably set even *more* of a bad example for younger girls that way… but at least she’d be correctly categorized. i think she’s a blight on the culture. and i hate how old i feel saying that.

  20. Lucy says:

    Whatever, Miley.

  21. Ronda says:

so how is she going to top that? procreate with her dogs?

    • jinni says:

Girl, don’t be giving her ideas. You know she would. She’d have Terry Richardson take the pics and swear it’s art and a homage to her dead dog Floyd and how it helped her overcome her grief or some faux deep crap like that. I wouldn’t put anything past this try hard fool.

    • Artemis says:

Nudity and even porn is NOT the same as bestiality nor does it lead to bestiality!

  22. SKF says:

This is neither sexy nor outrageous, it’s just… Sad. I wonder if she understands that other than a bunch of creeps wanking off to her pictures she has achieved nothing here?

    • Anname says:

      Like Courtney Stodden sad.
Unlike Courtney Stodden, Miley actually is capable of having a career without resorting to porn. I don’t know why Miley thinks this is a good way to seek attention. There can’t be many people left who don’t think she has passed some line of acceptable behavior into trashy and gross.

  23. jenn12 says:

I hate Interview. They think they’re alternative, but they always have women posing suggestively. Years ago, they had a seventeen year old Drew Barrymore, completely naked, with naked female models and her then-boyfriend, Jamie Walters, was clothed, as were all the other guys. Literally, Drew was the same age as a high school senior. Miley’s entire shtick is to be naked and suggestive, talk about drugs, and talk about how cool she thinks she is. And she gets the attention she craves, because that’s what the powerful men in charge want: someone in her 20s, willing to strip off and do sexually suggestive things. You don’t see Jill Scott, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Jenelle Monae or Adele presenting anything to the world except their talents. And they never host anything or land on a billion magazine covers.

    • rosettastoned says:

Um, Erykah Badu did a fully-nude, very graphic video with Wayne Coyne (of Flaming Lips)… the same dude who has been influencing Miley….

    • Kiyoshigirl says:

And….ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!!!

“…because that’s what the powerful men in charge want: someone in her 20s, willing to strip off and do sexually suggestive things…”

Yet…strangely a young, new breed of “feminists” have decided that volunteering themselves for nudity and sex is a better and more true form of feminism. It’s a phenomenon that has me shaking my head in frustration. Women have worked for decades to stop powerful men from defining us through nudity and sex AND using the same for financial gain. If Mylie thinks volunteering her nude body for publication means she’s in control of it, she’s an ignorant fool once again giving power to men who know how to capitalize on ignorant fools.

  24. BendyWindy says:

I think it goes without saying that Miley is being ridiculous and try hard. It’s boring and stupid and I’m tired of seeing it. BUT back in the day, Angelina was known for her wild antics and she grew up to be just fine. So I’m not going to write Miley off just yet, although I might just stop paying attention to her for the next ten years.

    • perplexed says:

Angelina was wild, but was she this boring? I didn’t follow her closely, but I probably thought she had charisma.

      • Naddie says:

I also don’t remember Angelina being offensive to anyone, she had charisma and always seemed to respect people. Or maybe I missed something.

    • Kitten says:

      Angelina was mysterious and interesting.

    • Wren says:

I don’t recall Angelina getting naked and doing porn for magazines. Even with her boobie-tastic photo shoots, wild ways, and lack of censorship in her speech, she maintained an air of mystery. Mystery is interesting. Like she was the cool kid and you just wished you could be like her. As far as I know she didn’t get up on stage and flail about in increasingly neon outfits while saying “weed” five thousand times. There’s no mystery in Miley, and what we see is something we’ve seen a million times. She’s not the cool kid, she’s the desperate wannabe who uses volume to compensate for her lack of coolness.

Oh well, I adore Angelina so maybe I’m biased. Maybe it’s the effect of social media as well.

      • perplexed says:

I don’t remember Angelina being perceived as a joke even at her wildest. I’m neutral on Angelina (not really a fan, not really a hater), but I think people respected her on some level even when she was acting weird with Billy Bob Thornton. And she’s always seemed to maintain an image of cool, regardless of what direction she was going in.

    • Kate says:

Angelina isn’t particularly well-educated, but even during her knife-collecting, bloody-vial-wearing, open-mouth-kissing-brother, bragging-about-having-sex-in-the-limo-on-the-way-to-an-awards-show youth, she displayed a level of intelligence and poise that I simply don’t believe Miley possesses. To be frank, Miley seems Palin-level stupid. I don’t mean that to be flung as a cheap insult, I mean she seems to lack inate intelligence, basic intellectual capacity. I think she probably has a low IQ and is a moron. Angelina is clearly a capable woman and seemed so even in her youth. Miley, however, is just not smart. This is how stupid people think they need to act to be considered “cool” and “edgy,” and they’re too dumb to realize it’s boring and unoriginal, and that real trailblazers did it better thirty years ago.

      • Ennie says:

Kate, just remember that the bragging came from her then- husband. She was letting him act out the epitome of rockstar that he wanted to be. I saw that and she was just standing there while he bragged, and he is not particularly attacked for his wild ways at al older age.
I do not think Miley compares to AJ. Aj evolved, this thing Miles has been doing reeks of PR stunt and it is actually stunted, she is stuck there, she’s like a Terry Richardson dream.

    • JoJo says:

And it’s her try hard that’s makes it so awkward. It’s like a duckling that hasn’t quite learned to walk but is trying to show the world that she can walk just as well as the ducks. I truly feel shame on her behalf.

  25. Zip says:

That’s not porn. The only thing you can see are her boobs. There’s nox sex, no flashing her lady bits, nothing that qualifies for porn. These are just bad photos of a half-naked Miley Cyrus in weird poses. Yawn.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I’m pretty sure there’s a lady bits photo, and she’s in the midst of a solo sex act.

      • Nicolette says:

When isn’t she touching herself? Hope she can remove her hands now and then at least to wash them. She just strikes me as dirty and disgusting.

    • Neb says:

She’s touching her naked self in one of the pictures. Maybe it’s not a close up shot of her twat but it’s pretty pornographic.

  26. lem says:

she’s always saying that people will listen to what she says if she just gets her tits out (which she isn’t wrong about) but the thing is, she isn’t saying ANYTHING of any importance? she’s isn’t taking a stand on an issues and actually bringing any issue any attention with her antics. so it really is just her taking her tits out for her own attention, not to bring attention to anything other than pot (which lets face it, it’s not like that’s some issue that SHE brought to the forefront).

  27. Triple Cardinal says:

The funny thing is, critics say she has real talent. I don’t listen to her kind of music, but some who do say her latest album is anywhere from good to impressive.

All this slut-girl nonsense is simply detracting from her talent. Her attention seeking cannot continue at this pace; it WILL burn itself out.

And then she’ll have nothing. She’ll be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Just like her dad.

    • Josefa says:

Her last album is actually pretty good, and doesn’t really sound like anything she’s done before. It’s very experimental, slow, trippy and weird. It’s not dance’y party music at all.

    • Neah23 says:

No what’s funny is that she drop a free album on Sunday or Monday night and no one is talking about it, which shows how truly right you are.

    • Neb says:

As someone who is a trained opera singer… she really doesn’t. Yeah maybe she can hold a tune (I’ve heard in some of her live performances she is pitchy) but her tone quality, resonance, anything that requires real work and mastery, is bloody awful.

Her latest album is no exception. I heard a couple tracks and it’s experimental for her but nothing new in the world of music.

  28. daisyfly says:

Screencaps are editorial photos now? Talk about literally phoning it in.

  29. Skins says:

This is the only way she has to stay relevant. The nudity stuff doesn’t really bother me, its showbiz after all, the only problem I have is that she really isn’t hot so who wants to see her naked? She wasn’t the only try-hard at the VMA’s , she just had the most air-time.

  30. pretty says:

bahaha i don’t know, Lady Gaga randomly comes up on my head about “pushing the envelope” stuff and how she was like wearing a meat dress and she is a nobody now. lol..

    • Anname says:

I think she is finally getting some recognition for her voice, now that she has dropped some of the outrageous gimmicks. What awards show was it where she did that knock-out performance of Sound of Music? People were genuinely shocked at how great she was.

      • Jayna says:

She still does plenty of gimmicks. Completely nude singing in a gay club, outrageous clothes still with her nipples or ass on full display. She just adds music to the forefront to where you can still appreciate her talent.

      • NewWester says:

I think that was at the Oscars

  31. Keaton says:

She’s super rich, super bored and probably surrounded by people who never tell her “No” or give her honest critique. It’s such a shame that she isn’t using her fame and money to help people. I wish she’d focus on her Happy Hippie Foundation. But I think she loves (negative) attention too much to totally give up her stuntqueen antics.

  32. Cara says:

The only shocking thing Miley could do is go to college.

    • bettyrose says:

But college would teach her that she’s not the first person on earth to rebel against an unsatisfying childhood, and then her head would explode. No more Miley. Or she could just watch the Breakfast Club. Same effect.

    • jenn12 says:

If you were in front of me, I would stand up to applaud that comment.

  33. Halah says:

Kim K just posted on her insta that she was doing a photoshoot for interview Mag with the same “photographer” as Miley used for this. Can’t WAIT to see how klassy those turn out to be.

  34. Mia4S says:

She used to be a …singer? Or something? Right?

  35. bettyrose says:

I clicked because I was curious if it was going to be all “empowered woman rocks what nature gave her,” but no, of course it was all Miley still looks like a teenager and this shoot feels really exploitative and gross. How much does this girl NOT GET that when she stops looking “barely legal” it’s all over for her? No.one.will.care?

  36. ashley says:

What’s the purpose of licking the dirty floor?! She’s such a try- hard,i just can’t.

  37. Spikey says:

I will say this, this girl is complicated. Have you listened to her new album? I am really not a fan – not by far – and I cried like a baby to that blowfish song. She is very talented and utterly messed up. Pity. This is our next Amy W., mark my words. The Cyrus parents deserve to be roasted on a stick for what they subjected the poor kid to.

    • The other paige says:

Not seeing the ‘complications’ of this girl….
Just desperate with a platform. Not seeing the talent, just a lot of her skinny body and adolescent acting out…
      Boring.

    • Aren says:

I see what you’re saying. She has some charm and talent, and she is a likeable girl, but she’s messed up.

    • Neb says:

She really isn’t that talented. There are millions of singers out there who are much more capable and deserving of her success.

And comparing her to Amy? Please. Amy had a vulnerability and gut wrenching sincerity to her singing that was unparalleled, not to mention breathing life back into a genre that was all but forgotten in modern day pop music. Amy had power, uniqueness, and technique in her voice. Miley doesn’t have sh!t.

    • WinnieCoopersMom says:

I didn’t consider the Amy W comparison before, but I think that is super accurate. Sad sad. I hope she can straighten up before something that awful happens.

  38. Amy Tennant says:

I was a Miley apologist for a long time, y’all. I really, really wanted her to get it together. I was so happy when she was singing “Jolene” in her backyard. I guess she filled the gap after I stopped rooting for LiLo. She’s not a kid anymore, but she seems to lack some good judgment. She’s still pretty young. Was the alternative post-Disney obscurity like Hilary Duff?

At least she’s successfully left Hannah Montana far behind.

I’m still rooting for her, but she may have gone too far now. Penthouse next? A sex tape?

This isn’t meant to be pearl-clutching or slut-shaming. It’s fine for Miley to make her own decisions for how she wants to present herself. Sexuality is obviously nothing to be ashamed about. I just think she needs to be careful that her choices don’t come back to bite her later. We should have seen this coming with that Annie Leibovitz shoot. Is anybody looking out for this girl? I know she is an adult now.

    • Amy Tennant says:

I want to cosign what some of you are saying. Where does she go from here? She’s pushing all the envelopes at a pretty young age. How long can she ride “shock” out until there’s nothing shocking anymore? The sad thing is, she has real talent. I hope that will be what saves her.

    • piecesofme says:

Her antics still feel very adolescent & reactionary to me. That interview she gave where she talked about the Hannah Montana straightjacket she was forced into–“smile and look pretty for the camera!” was illuminating for me. It explained why she is making a face in every photo, and the infamous tongue; she no longer has to be demure and cute, and she’ll prove it by golly gum! It all still has such an “I’ll show you!” feel to it.

Just, at a certain point we grow up (hopefully). I’d like to see some thinking behind the antics, more than this prolonged vague tantrum.

    • Nikki L. says:

I think this sums it up best for me.

  39. Jayna says:

    That is sad.

She released a free album at the end of the VMAs, a collaboration with The Flaming Lips, more experimental, not commercial, which I commend her for, and nobody is talking about it past the night it dropped. Maybe if she focused on the music more and not so focused on these antics it wouldn’t overshadow her music.

    • Nikki L. says:

Yeah I agree. The album is actually really interesting and creative, but it was overshadowed by all her stunt-queening.

  40. Tig says:

She comes across as an out of control middle schooler. I sort of agree- what’s left for her to do at say, 25? And totally agree with poster up thread- it’s not “slut shaming” to point out that these antics do her no favors.

    • bettyrose says:

It’s not slut-shaming at all to point out how self-defeating it is to let the world define you by your sexuality. Anyone with an office job knows full well that you have to contextualize your appearance. Work clothes by day, more revealing by night. But if you’re angling for a promotion, don’t pose nude in any forum that your coworkers might see. She may always be rich, but she’s really limiting her options if she ever finds herself needing to work for a living.

  41. mkyarwood says:

I have to say, I’m a bit surprised at the continued ‘fallout’ with her behaviour. It’s annoying, it’s antics, but at the end of the day she’s attempting to change the narrative on how a ‘lady’ grows up. I’ve been here. I had the requisite daddy issues, dieted from a size 10 to a size 4, wore the bleach blonde shaved head and wandered around not wearing much. She’s famous, so she can push this envelope even further. I hope there were a few people around me in my 20 something antics years that loved me anyway.

It’s worth remembering that she was likely molested on top of being exposed to who knows what during daddy’s early rocker days. You don’t have to look further than Noah to understand Miley’s train of thought. 1 in 4 girls.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Out of curiousity, no challenge at all, how well do you think someone like Miley in the pursuit of changing the narrative will succeed at effecting other girls?

I think there’s a segment of the population that feels undo pressure and influence from certain areas and that while she may speak to them she’s effectively pushed herself out of the realm of realistic for everyone else. She’s become more of a brand and sideshow attraction than a voice of reason most teens will listen to (based on social media her teen following is surprisingly small).

  42. Jonathan says:

Well, GO for it, Miley, is what I say.

She impresses me more and more with the boundaries she pushes and the F.U. attitude she has to contemporary sexual and social mores. I think she is really doing very important outlier work.

This only *appears* like porn to me- but she’s actually helping desensitise us to the spectacle of porn & demystifying the female form- on her own express terms. And she’s having more fun than all of us!

And I really, really, REALLY used to dislike her. But I’m beginning to see her as one of the most talented entertainers of our time, deftly using the currency of our culture; porn, objectification of women, drugs- and mixing it up with feminism and freedom of the individual. I’m amazed.

    • Don't kill me I'm French says:

Are you serious?? All I see is a teen crisis who lasts and that her antics outshine her talent of singer

    • Jayna says:

And yet except for the night it dropped when there were some write-ups about it, nobody is talking about her brand new album, which was experimental. Maybe that should be her focus, not desensitizing us to the spectacle of porn, but putting the focus on HER NEW MUSIC, which is completely overshadowed by all the antics you are talking about.

I thought she was about the music and evolving as a musical artist? Who is talking about her in that way these days, even with a new album?

      • Jonathan says:

Why should it be all about what she’s selling?

Think for a moment like I am and you’ll totally see it- she’s having the ride of her life.

Apart from anything else, have you ever seen such a joyous celebration of female sexuality? She’s like “it’s MY BODY! I can show off my t*ts or touch myself and it’s FUN! It feels good! I’m enjoying myself!”

It’s for her, for her own fun, her own enjoyment, her own thrills. It’s not for a guy, it’s not for Disney, it’s not for consumers even- she’s doing it in spite of whether people will buy her records. She’s not selling herself- she’s enjoying herself.

No ridiculous butt implants or surgery, no coyness or vampiness, no worrying about what other people want from her or expect from her, just raw, fun, couldn’t give a shit happiness.

      • Neah23 says:

        @ Jayna

That’s exactly what I said in my above comment no one is talking about her free album.

      • Nicolette says:

@Jonathan, you honestly think this isn’t about what she’s selling? That’s the very nature of the business she’s in. She has to make a spectacle of herself to try and sell herself as an artist of some sort, it’s what happens when there’s a lack of talent. And saying it’s for her own fun, her own thrills. Really? Then she can take her little t**ts and permanently place her hand between her legs without the rest of us having to see it. She can enjoy her sexuality all she wants without doing it in front of the world.

      • Jayna says:

@Jonathan, you missed the point. She sells herself as all about her music and pure into her music, an artist. It’s not even her focus, period, when it comes out. She’s too busy loving her nipples.

      • bettyrose says:

Jonathan..what sexual mores? We’ve all been riding the sexual freedom train since the 60s. She’s not doing anything new. But most sexually free young women have the good sense to not mix business with pleasure.

      • Artemis says:

Why should it be all about what she’s selling?

Because it keeps her relevant. Her promo/interviews are still done for her new image that comes with the music. She might be a hippie but that doesn’t warrant covers, being a rich famous artist (who happens to be a hippie flashing her boobs) does warrant a cover.

She’s like “it’s MY BODY! I can show off my t*ts or touch myself and it’s FUN! It feels good! I’m enjoying myself!”

Her (older) ‘friend’ Mert Alas has lots of Insta photos of Miley, one is her being UNCONSCIOUS lying half-naked on the floor after too much wild partying. I can deal with the other photos SHE puts out (it is her body after all and nudity in art is nothing new so not shocking tbh) but an older man posting pictures when she was passed out just screams wrong to me.

I don’t know how liberated she thinks she is but when other people clearly use her naked body to get some clicks and to promote their own faux-edgy image, you gotta admit that she doesn’t come across as very in control and mentally stable. I think she’s spiraling out of control and we all know the history she has with her friends. She was exposed several times by their blabbermouths over the years and if they can throw her under the bus, they will. Maybe not now, but I can see it happening (again) in the future. I don’t know if there is anybody looking out for her without having ulterior motives. I feel bad for her, I don’t see any liberation. The fact that she also hoards animals and doesn’t even clean her kitty’s eyes (seriously, all she does is stay home and smoke pot according to her!) seems like somebody desperate for love and belonging.

      • Vampi says:

@ARTEMIS- There is SO MUCH *YES!* in your post. You nailed it. Boom.

    • Leah says:

Oh dear jonathan, you been fooled by the emperors new clothes!

      • Jonathan says:

Leah, the Empress has No Clothes!

      • Leah says:

Madonna had no clothes 20 years ago….

      • Jonathan says:

Leah & BettyRose I’m gonna cover both your posts in one: Leah, yep, Madonna did it first, 30 years ago she liberated a generation of girls & women with HER “antics”. Just a visible bra strap was a cause for shame in the days before Madonna, then suddenly bras were outerwear. Then she got naked with the “Sex” book in the 90’s. Madonna will always be my hero.

BettyRose- yeah, the freedom train came in the 60’s, but rather than fight for liberation the women’s movement thought equality was a better or easier fight to win. 50 years later, equality is still not here. Liberation from gender roles certainly never arrived.

To both of you- the fact that we’re having this kind of conversation 50 and 30 years on tespectively tells me that the promise of women’s freedom was never fulfilled. Seems to me that the current generation, of which Miley is a member, is having to fight battles our mothers and sisters already fought decades ago.

      • Artemis says:

Please stop with this ‘Madonna did it first’. She’s not the pinnacle of women liberation as she happily threw black men under the bus to enhance her own vulnerability and a certain powerlessness to their perceived actions (SPIN ’96).

She also happily sided with the patriarchy by presenting herself as a more vulnerable doll-like women in Vanity Fair ’92 during the Sex era. She still wanted to be appealing to men to boost sales, why else use that type of infantile imagery?

I expect a softer image from Miley in 3 years from now when the public is sick of her saturating the market just like Madonna. Switching back and forth to exhibitionism under the guise of sexual liberation and then a more toned down version to ensure she doesn’t become a has-been.

Oh and Mae West and Josephine Baker did it before Madonna: in the 1920s thank you very much. Know your history instead of thinking it started with a woman in the 80s, many came before Madonna without a feminist movement behind them! Many even lost their lives in countries where nudity carries the death penalty. But I’m supposed to recognize Madonna and Miley as some kind of activists? Nah thanks.

EDIT to add: and if there is a modern Madonna, then Rihanna definitely preceded Miley by at least 4 years.

      • Jonathan says:

@artemis- Josephine Baker & Mae West did what exactly, though? I know my history, thanks for being a bit patronising (always a delight from another feminist) but I just don’t know what you’re referring to specifically. Would love to hear your point elaborated on a tad more. Do you mean a display of female sexuality? Arguably there’s LOTS of women who did that. Again, I’d love to hear what you mean and would appreciate it if you could try telling me nicely. Makes it easier to want to listen with you instead of argue.

I don’t think Madonna invented feminism but she definitely popularised some genuinely feminist ideas in the 80’s and the visible vehicle for this was shedding some clothes, showing her bra and touching herself on stage or in her film clips. That was the parallel with Miley I thought Leah was raising but Leah can correct me on that if I’m wrong.

      • Jonathan says:

@ Artemis again- ohhhh, you were referring to Josephine’s stripping (dense- it was 6 something in the morning where I am and I’d been up since 4am- my brain just started working after I just had my morning coffee).

Still confused about your Mae West reference though, she was anti nudity.

    • Naddie says:

I think it’s all very shallow. Lorde is way more edgy than Miley. Besides, if she was really interested at desmystifying (what a tough word to write!) the female form, she’d use her music to do it, and people wouldn’t be so confused about the message she supposedly wants to pass. But it’s nice to see a different opinion.

    • Nicolette says:

      You’re joking right?

    • meme says:

      You have to be kidding.

    • WinnieCoopersMom says:

I want to believe Jonathan is being ironic, but looking at his response further down the chain..umm. wtf?! Impressive? Amazing? Must be smoking the same stuff Miley is.

      • Jonathan says:

I just have a different way of seeing things than you. Don’t have to smoke anything for that.

    • Sarah says:

I don’t think she’s having fun. It just seems so hollow and empty like she is desperately looking for attention or love or whatever. She seems so desperate and frantic to have people notice her. I feel she is being used now as she was on Hannah Montana.

  43. QQ says:

I’ve Concluded that This assh*le of a Girl, Much Like Trump Is a Fire that will Die without Oxygen… when we stop giving them both attention, That’s when It’ll stop

  44. Naddie says:

Therapy and meds, Miley. Don’t deny it, it’ll only get worse if u do this.

  45. Blah says:

Miley my dear you should get acquainted with a certain attention ho named Angelina Jolie. Before she was forced to reinvent her image by the studio bosses. She had the reputation of town pump who didn’t flinch to tongue her brother in full public view. You are a kindergarten kid compared to her. Show us more, gal!!!!!!!!

  46. Amy says:

At least she didn’t get famous because she was in a sex tape and comes from a family with lots of money. *cough* Kardashian *cough*

  47. Merritt says:

Oh Miley, to be young and thirsty. So very thirsty.

  48. Kate says:

Please let this cultural moment end already.

  49. kri says:

Okay, I know we have some legal pros on this board. Can we send her a Cease and Desist from CB? Good Lord, wtf is wrong with her? It appears to me that maybe too many drugs are eating away at her brain. And I’m just gonna say it-her behavior is disgusting. I sound like a fusty grandma maybe, but what is going on with some of these young women? It’s more than trying out new things, exploring sexuality etc. It is SO public, so blatant-it’s like they are sex Lemmings and they are using themselves up. I wish they would chill and just enjoy their lives. Miley could have really done something with this gig. She could have given it a shot, instead of acting like a total moron who paraded around in front of her parents and the world and tried to make people cringe. After The Weeknd performed, I was so outta there. Get some help, girl. Go travel, see the world, learn something! With all of your money you could do so much. Instead, you are licking a damn dirty floor. idiot!

  50. Daria Morgendorffer says:

    “How far will she go?”

I don’t know, but I think we should all stop paying attention to her so we won’t have to find out. This girl needs a psychiatrist.

  51. Crumpet says:

She is a straight up exhibitionist.
    __________________________________________________
    exhibitionist
    Noun
    (plural exhibitionists)

One who attempts to draw attention to himself or herself by his or her behaviour.
One who exposes his or her genitalia (female nipples) in public.
    Adjective
(comparative more exhibitionist, superlative most exhibitionist)

    compulsively seeking attention

    • Neb says:

I wouldn’t put nipples on par with genitalia but she certainly has gone commando for the camera a few times (including this shoot).

  52. meme says:

So now what? Women are going to masturbate publicly? Feminism is not about acting like a cheap trashy wh0re. Miley’s disgusting. As for the near naked dressing, it’s not empowering. Men are men and these women are objectifying themselves for men. They want men to look at them. They certainly are not dressing for other women. You could see Chrissy Teigen’s waxed vagina in some photos for god’s sake.

  53. Angel says:

A cry for help….. Sadly though, the people around her (including her parents), are enablers, saying yes to her every request as long as they are on her pay roll.

  54. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Well I thought I’d gird my loins and take a peek at these pics but after reading the comments I’m going to do something that makes me happy instead.

  55. SypherMomma says:

Meh, her stunt queening is boring to me. Everyone is loosing their shit over these photos….but it’s predictable/boring. People freaked out in the 90’s when Madonna released her book SEX and she was photographed fuggin Vanilla Ice and Naomi Campbell. Now she’s pretty much faded away, although she still tries.

Give Miley time to mature and work through her issues and in a few years we’ll all be laughing at what a kook she once was.

    • FingerBinger says:

Madonna was sexy ,Miley isn’t. Madonna was trying to shock but she was also attempting art with the sex book. Miley is mainly trying to shock us.

      • SypherMomma says:

It’s all subjective, I know plenty of people who think Miley is sexy. What some call art others call trash, I remember Madonna book burnings etc.

I only brought it up because the Miley outrage made me reflect on past instances of artists pushing limits…..there are some metal acts that put both of these women to shame 😏

      • Susie 1of 3 says:

“I know plenty of people who think Miley is sexy.”

I don’t know one person who thinks she is sexy. At this point she’s a cartoon blow up doll. In time, there will be the talk show visit where, with tears in her eyes, she will reveal this wasn’t really her idea. She was taking drugs, constantly admitting it, and was persuaded to do this to change her Hannah Montana image to a larger audience. The opposite happened, people were disgusted, and now she can tell all without taking any responsibility for her behavior. It was the drugs, her handlers, her manager, …………anyone else’s fault.

  56. Frosty says:

There’s an aggresive, almost manic quality to Miley’s attentionwhoring that’s kinda disturbing. Her costuming is fun though.

    • Keaton says:

I agree. It doesn’t feel JOYFUL to me at all. It’s MANIC. I don’t think she’s really having the time of her life. I think she might feel empty? I don’t think she’s an Amy Winehouse type though. I’m guessing it’s more that she feels without purpose.
Maybe in a few years she’ll give up the stunt queen antics and focus on something she finds more satisfying. At least I hope so.

  57. maria1981 says:

this girl is not okay. is she having a meltdown? is she the next britney/amanda bynes?

    • Neb says:

Thinking the same thing. I’m not one for armchair diagnoses but it seems like she has a personality disorder (histrionic personality disorder, a la Courtney Love?)

My memory is a little foggy so forgive me, but she kind of reminds me of this one chick I saw interviewed on some talk show a few years ago… From the bunny ranch brothel? She supposedly had Peter Pan Syndrome and it was creepy… A grown woman dressing and speaking like a child, with a baby voice and all. Reminds me of Miley with the kiddy clothing/performances and egocentric behaviour.

  58. Cindy says:

I am having a hard time with this, in part, because I can’t figure out why Miley is doing this. I know she is an adult, but my daughter is 13, so she is Hannah montana in my mind. I have a difficult time seeing her as an adult, in large part (i think?) because she isn’t acting like one. Honestly, she isn’t. The acting out stuff is just that, acting out. The behavior serves no other purpose than to focus attention on her. She’s rebelling, I assume, against, disney? Her parents? Does she even know? She gives these reasons that are bulls*t, that are meant to sound thoughtful, like championing LGTB rights, etc. , but have nothing to do with the dumb crap she does. Acting out without purpose is a childish behavior, and in my mind this makes Miley, at least mentally, still a child. Maybe child stardom messed with her emotional growth to the point that she is stuck at age 13. If that is the case, her parents didn’t do a very good job shielding her from child stardom.

  59. kimbers says:

Those aren’t Artistic which makes her dumb AF and the magazine even less credible on what’s going on nowdays bc grandma Miley isnt hot. Also this seems like web retaliation bc who does a shoot like this? Fame is full of shade and Retaliation is for people who are weak.

  60. Tilly says:

Her parents have a lot to answer for – especially her mother / manager!!!

Who in their right mind would find this attractive / inspirational / edgy? Nobody can even bear to comment on the ‘Interview’ page!

Miley is surrounded by people who are setting her on a path of destruction. It’s so incredibly sad … someone commented elsewhere that this is an ‘act’, that she’s completely different in private; I don’t buy that. I think she does what she does to stay relevant, but she’s so caught up in all this that she’s lost any morals or sense of decency she might have once had.

Maybe Papa Spears should be appointed to run her life too!

  61. JoJo says:

When I read your headline, I almost skipped over the entire post because I just saw some magazine picture spread she’s in where she is pretty nude and is top less the entire spread. She just has finger paints on her. I thought you were completely overreacting. Yeah… No. That’s not what you were talking about… My reaction was reflexive for this link: absolute horror. Why would Interview do this? There is NOTHING titillating about these pictures. Ugh, I feel gross now.

    • Vampi says:

      EXACTLY!
She’s laying on her back, naked, and masturbating. Not edgy. That’s porn. And her body looks like mine did when I was 12. That’s a WHOLE other level of gross. Dear Lord!!!!

  62. msw says:

I really truly don’t care if she wants to be naked, be a porn star, whatever. It’s her life. But I feel sad for her. She seems to think she has nothing to offer but her body, and no voice without being naked. That’s terrible.

  63. PixieWitch says:

The guitar was a nice touch!

  64. hmmm says:

Degrading. Interview was happy to oblige, too.

  65. bored_01 says:

I have to wonder if she doesn’t have a mental illness or a drug problem. This is just… gross.

  66. FrenchGirlChi says:

I don’t understand these Disney Kids..
I get you trying to break from your so-call Disney Character but good grief really.
These Kids really are screwed up

  67. iheartgossip says:

I feel sorry for her. Clearly she suffers from some serious mental illnesses. I believe she was molested & raped as a young woman on her Hanna Montana show. Perhaps it came from within her family too.

  68. mirawing says:

Those photos look like they were taken with an Iphone, which may have been the point.

  69. WinnieCoopersMom says:

I can already see the E! True Hwood Story..sadly, I think it will happen after it’s too late and her parents/people close to her will say they saw the signs but never thought she would take it this far etc. etc. ..her parents should be ashamed of themselves for not intervening. She may be an adult, but she needs a serious intervention and rehab. She has got to be on something harder than pot. And I agree with a comment above that this “photoshoot” is a cry for help.

  70. stacey says:

she is such a CRACK HEAD!!!

  71. Fever says:

I have positively no morals and I find these pictures grotesque.

    Bad form Miley.

  72. Neil says:

Speaking as a guy I find her antics harmless just like I find her rather harmless. You’re allowed to get away with CERTAIN things when you are a child, a young adult and a senior citizen. And the pictures were in a magazine that isn’t directed at children so no big deal.

  73. Ennie says:

She has been enabled and coddled all her life. Her childhood was stunted and this is the better she can do as an artist?
    Sad.

  74. Sunsetsnow says:

OMG! I had no intentions of looking at the photos until I read your comments. They are truly disgusting! I wish I had not looked. Teenagers, her target demographic, are going to be looking at those. She is gross!

  75. ella says:

Weirdly enough, I’ve noticed that several of my artsy-musician friends are actually saying her new album is good, and that they like what she’s doing with her “Happy Hippie” foundation. One guy who made such a comment is a renowned music professor who has played with all kinds of serious artists (jazz, experimental, classical etc). I’m not saying this tiny sample proves anything, but it’s interesting to me that Miley is, in fact, being taken seriously by some people, and is being praised for doing something a bit different than the Taylor Swifts of the world. I haven’t listened to Miley’s music so I don’t know if I share this opinion but yes, some people (people with brains, at that) are into her music.

  76. alicegrey12 says:

Miley is one disgusting, pornographic sick puppy

  77. A. Key says:

From the way the article was written I was expecting a lot worse. It’s just a young skinny girl with her tits out desperately seeking attention. I don’t really care. I’m more offended by Woody Allen and his “art” than by stoned Miley taking her clothes off for fun.
As long as she’s doing it willingly I don’t care what she does. No one here is obliged to look at it.
Besides I don’t find consensual sex or naked women offending. Why so prude Muerica?

  78. Jayna says:

This article was so good about the VMA show and Miley as host and the contrived nature of the show.

  79. luckchild says:

looks like miley is trying to give miss piggy some more competition ://///

  80. Original T.C. says:

I’ve been over this girl’s antics since she became an adult. She’s not crazy, in need of help or stupid. She knows what sells. People pay attention to young girls who show nudity. It keeps you in the headline and makes you standout from others who are more talented than you. Rihanna discovered the same. Even the pearl clutchers will read the magazine you are on, watch your interview etc if only to disapprove of you more.

Even Swifty is showing more skin these days because it really does sell better and keep your name in headlines. Miley has done the other attention grabbing things (claim bisexuality, adopt a homeless youth, adopt a person of color friend, etc). Honestly her talent is not enough to have gotten her this far and she knows it.

P.s. I don’t know why people keep saying she looks like a little girl naked. Her face is young teen yes but hide her face and that’s a woman’s body. Just a slim woman like the supermodels. It’s just the supermodels have caked on makeup to look older.

  81. Ben says:

I can’t help but wonder if she was molested.

  82. T says:

she’s just making fun of the “kardashian culture”. . this thing going on today where every girl feels like she has to be a sexy attention whore.
