Justin Bieber released a set of guidelines for fans who want selfies

Justin Bieber

These are photos of Justin Bieber and his crew on Friday at LAX. They were en route to Australia where they remain, and something crazy happened last night. TMZ has the report of a model, Bailey Scarlett, who claims she was drugged by Bieber’s people at a recording studio. Bailey says she was invited to attend a session, and she fixed herself some vodka and lemonade. She lost sight of her drink for a few minutes, came back, and had a few sips. Then “she began to feel woozy and her vision became blurred.” Bailey says she started crying, and then “Justin sat down with her to calm her down.” After a few more minutes, Bailey says she got worse, stumbled outside, and someone called police. She thinks her drink was spiked. Bailey has not yet filed a report.

On the way into Australia, Bieber decided to publish some fan-selfie “guidelines” to keep the people appraised of how he likes to do things. If Swaggy doesn’t stop to take a photo, he will never take a photo, no matter what. Bieber demands respect. Here’s even more from his @rickthesizzler Shapchat handle:

1. “If you start screaming louder, that’s not gonna make me take a photo more. I wanna enjoy the moment just as you’re enjoying the moment, but I can’t enjoy it if I’m not feeling like there’s any respect given to me at that moment.”

2. “If you’re asking kindly, usually the chances are I’ll take a photo. But if perhaps I don’t or I’m in a mood where I’m not trying to take a photo in that moment, please just respect me and treat me the way that you’d want to be treated.”

3. “Honestly, I’d rather stand there and talk to you for five minutes and not take any photos and us be able to have that moment rather than just chaos.”

4. “It’s like, why did you travel to see me in the first place? Was it really to see me, or was it to get that moment to see me so that you could tell people about it.”

5. “Just remember, I’m not unreachable. I’m not unattainable. I’m just like you and I communicate just like you.”

[From Snapchat & YouTube]

Well, some of this is not too bad. There’s a high and mighty tone underneath it all, but Bieber realizes how fans would like to show off a joint selfie rather than actually speak to him. There’s a sentient little critter in there underneath all the posturing and sagging pants. Now, did Bieber and his crew really drug a model in Australia? There’s the real story.

Here’s the video of Swaggy’s guidelines to his fans.

Who cares about Bieber’s lame selfie rules in light of that Cosby-esque incident with the model?

    • Hawkeye says:

Yeah, that is disturbing. I hope that woman is okay and that the police get involved in sorting out what happened.

    • Bej says:

Huh? I’ve obviously missed some gossip. Too bad he hasn’t been charged, or we (not me personally, but my brand new gung ho Government, who are on a new found crusade for women, finally, and thankfully) hopefully would have banned him, like Chris Brown.
Regardless, I loathe this little wanker and must now unfortunately search for his gross drugging of someones drink to satisfy my curiosity. Boo to me, but extra Booooo to Bieber. Creep

    • Sea Dragon says:

*Alleged* incident. I’m glad we’re ready to believe the victim when a crime occurs but without an investigation, it’s just her word against his people.

      • Bej says:

Yeah, the “alleged” is actually still important. I’ve been googling to be able to form an opinion, and so far have only come up with that it was someone in his entourage. So, though I loathe him, I won’t condemn him yet.

    • kri says:

THIS^^^^. Is anyone surprised though? I cannot even begin to fathom what this little testicle sore has done.

  2. Lilian says:

I don’t think Bieber would actually drug anyone. He is a self involved douch but drugging someone’s drink? Maybe a hanger on?

    • Matador says:

Nobody believed Bill Cosby would do it either.

      • PinaColada says:

She didn’t say Justin did it. It seemed like she thought someone in his crew due and Justin actually tried to help her a bit. Thaw what I got from it.

      • Matador says:

I’m pointing out that *in general,* jumping to a “he doesn’t seem the type” defense is ill-advised. Many predators hide behind a public mask, Cosby being a very notable example.

      • Lilian says:

Well @matador no one said JB did anything, not even the victim. Who exactly was jumping to conclusions?

  3. Linn says:

I don’t see anything wrong with Bieber’s guideline for Selfies but it’s pretty much all about using some commone sense and showing a minimum of manners.

I doubt talking about the rules will change anything. Polite people will be polite and rude people will be rude.

Now the story about the model is horrible and I’m glad it sounds like nothing worse happened and the police was alarmed fast.
It shouldn’t be necessary to be so careful but never lose sight of your drink if you don’t know and trust all the people around.

    • Wren says:

The “rules” sounded like basic politeness and him asking to be treated like a person and not like a commodity. Won’t help much, because people are dicks, but oh well. I have nothing else to say about it.

The drink thing is awful and it sounds like a member of his crew was responsible. He has some shady people around him and it seems the frat boy mentality runs strong. From her story it sounded like he was concerned about her condition, which makes it seem like he didn’t know what had happened and it was someone else who Bill Cosby’ed her.

  4. Kiki says:

He charges a lot of money for pictures taken with him backstage at his concerts. Grow up kid and respect your fans. Their stupidity is the reason you are rich.

    • Greata says:

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I am surprised that people actually still want his selfie/autograph at this point. Another idiot who thinks he has way more talent than he actually does.

    • Livealot says:

“Their stupidity is the reason you are rich”. GOLD. Lmao!!

  5. ickythump says:

God I despise this little cretin.

  6. Karen says:

Daily Mail also has another article where Justin grabbed a playboy bunnies boob and she slapped him and had him removed from a party.

Guess his forgiveness tour is over and he’s back to acting like an entitled idiot/creeper.

  7. Lama Bean says:

He was so adorable when he first debuted on the scene. Now? Not so much.

  8. Sea Dragon says:

Bet this video was NOT team approved.

  9. ldub says:

    IDGAF about him.

WHO IS THE HOTTIE CARRYING THE SKATEBOARDS?
    SERIOUSLY I NEED DEETS!

  10. MC2 says:

The only silver lining in this Cosby thing is that it (seems) people are taking things more seriously now. I’m glad the model got out of the situation, the police were called & she went to a hospital. I read the other article about it and they (per the studio) have footage of her drink the whole time on camera and claim it was not touched. Someone thought she was having a panic attack. No matter what happened- I’m glad the situation was treated with seriousness & she got help!!!

  11. Idon'tCare says:

He is almost walking upright now, so there’s that. He still needs to learn to pull his panties up. Why does he still have fans??

  12. karen2 says:

    …I’m seeing Kanye-like hoodies all over today…thats quite a good travelling look…

  13. the_blonde_one says:

The first picture, the shorts crotch falls in such a way that it actually looks like labia.

  14. anniefannie says:

He’s having a resurgence because of his new hit ” what do you mean” and I have to confess I’ve never liked or understood his previous work but I DO like this tune!
    ( blushing profusely )
Also saw him on Today show and he appeared to own his previous douchiness…

  15. kri says:

My god, Patti Malette. Please come get your spawn and wash him. I have never thought there would be a Royal Skateboard Carrier. WTF is that guy thinking as he totes around Bieba’s boards and diaper bag?

  16. Jeanette says:

And there was something on TMZ today about a playboy model slapping the sh*t out of him for grabbing her boob.

  17. Jay (the Canadian one) says:

Minor nitpick: isn’t the word you want “apprised” not “appraised”?

  18. Stephanie says:

I hate how I can’t go anywhere fun without people pulling out their phones and iPads to document the outing. Why not just enjoy the event, or talk to your family about the experience? Like Disneyworld and Tinkerbell’s shadow display while in line for the Peter Pan ride. Instead of enjoying it with their kids people are too busy filming it. At an indoor water park a lady stepped on a toddler and constantly bumped into people because she was looking at her kindle, walking backwards, and filming her husband and child playing skee ball. Are you really going to watch 10 minutes of footage of that? Put down the phones and live!!! Rant over

  19. I Choose Me says:

It says someone called the police. Not Bailey then? Whoever this someone was kudos to them for looking out for this girl. And Beiber is a douche but I don’t think it was him who spiked her drink.

  20. Katija says:

He has a point at “enjoying the moment.” I don’t understand people who go to concerts and their whole MO is just to get shots/video on their phone. I went to the 1989 tour and every person under 20 seemed more concerned with filming than watching. It was so odd to me. There are thousands of pics of Taylor Swift performing for her shows, why on earth would I need to take crappy blurry ones to add to the pile?

If I met a celeb I loved – and that wouldn’t be Bieber – I’d be more concerned with having an awesome convo I could remember than a selfie.

  21. YvesWestwood says:

i wanted to believe the best of him but I believe the backstory that he’s still a douche forced to clean up his act and he’s not onboard with it. He looks miserable.

The redemption tour is becoming too much. When he inevitably slips up and can’t maintain the facade and breaks free of the tight leash his people have him on, he will have a long way to fall given the pedastal he’s been put on lately.

His latest quote is “you don’t have to go to church to be a Christian. If you go to Taco Bell that doesn’t make you a taco.”

Christians don’t go grabbing boobs at the playboy mansion either. What is he , the poster boy for Christianity now?

  22. Louise177 says:

The rules are not bad. If it wasn’t Justin making this list I doubt people would make a big deal about it. It’s all commonsense and good manners. When you see video, It’s amazing that fans don’t have any boundaries. They literally grab onto the celebrity and shove the camera in there faces. As for drugging the model, doubtful. They wouldn’t have called the police and risk being found out. Also she didn’t press charges. Getting a police report and examination seems like the logical option instead of going to the tabloids.

  23. Girlinbayou says:

I am a professional photographer and I literally loathe bringing a camera on my free time anywhere and this includes my camera phone. I sometimes think after that I wish I had a picture or two of said memory but I’m much happier to have lived in the moment and actually enjoy making the memory.

I also hate hate hate it when I am at weddings and people hold up their phone to try to take pictures of the reception when the pro is trying to get their shot. So freaking rude!
