WTF? Cavil is actually a decent actor most of the time but the scowly face has me LMAO! That plus Batfleck? Oy.

Fingers crossed for Wonder Woman I guess.

    • alice says:

bad thing is I wouldn’t expect too much acting skills from Chris Pine and Gal Gadot, they are both mediocre actors, granted you don’t need to be a great actor for saying lines from a comic book movie, but I really hope DC will give more gravitas to the superhero silliness , just like the Nolan trilogy, which was brilliant. I guess Robin Wright will carry that movie acting chops-wise. I still think Patty Jenkins is a weird choice as a director, but I can imagine that with her involvement the movie will heavily rely on making a strong feminist turn and give us a decent first female comic heroine leading movie. I hope lots of Themyscira and Amazon’s power, and making Chris Pine just the bimbo, sexual object of the situation. I pray for that.

    • New_Kay says:

can someone explain to me why superman and batman are fighting?

  2. D says:

I still don’t like Affleck as Batman

    • Miss V says:

Nope. Not even a little bit. I don’t really think much of Henry Cavill as Superman either… So I think I will skip this one.

    • The Original Mia says:

      Affleck was miscast.

    • Samtha says:

He looks like someone playing dress-up for Halloween.

    • Emily says:

Everyone liked Affleck until the divorce/ young nanny situation. Just like everyone liked Depp until the Amber Heard situation. It hits a little too close to home with women of … a certain age (of whom I am one). The vitriol aimed at those two men is a bit much.

      • Eden75 says:

Nope, not I. I could not stand the thought of Affleck as Batman before, right from the day it was announced. He is a mediocre actor and he is definitely NOT Batman. I am refusing to see this on the principle that they are once again ruining Batman. Bale was a good Batman and the Nolan series was the saving grace of Batman movies after the Burton trash. As for Superman, I could care less. I have never been a Superman fan and have no urge to see him in anything.

      • Original T.C. says:

        @Emily
That’s not accurate. The loudest cry of dislike for Affleck’s casting as Batman came from FanBOYS who almost broke the Internet with their complaints. Their comments were like 100X worse than any on celebitchy and so wide spread that the studio bosses had to meet with Affleck to reassure him that they support him regardless of the backlash. Ben himself gave an interview stating this.

I was with the fanboys because Affleck SUCKS as an actor but he continues to cast himself and be cast simply because he is a White male that had a healthy female fanbase who loved him for being hot. They stayed loyal to him even after he cheated while engaged to J.Lo without a condom. And continued to blame her for years for any misfortune.

Just like with Garner, those fans will come right back to him once he starts dating a “respectable woman” that they can relate to and cleans up his looks. Women easily let attractive men off the hook for cheating.

      • truthSF says:

Girl, where were you when the news of Affleck as Batman first broke, which was waaaaay before his breakup? Nobody was OK with Affleck as Batman, then or now. That man is a horrible actor period.

      • lucy2 says:

I’ve seen people gripe about Affleck for years. The Batman stuff only made it more mainstream.

      • FLORC says:

Gotta say even when Affleck was attached to the hip with Damon he was still very disliked, but protected largely because Damon was very liked.
People haven’t liked him for ages. With lucy2. Batman made it mainstream.

      • Emily says:

I hope Affleck doesn’t get with a “respectable” woman. Respectable women are boring. He needs an interesting and colorful love life.

  3. jinni says:

I think I am going to have to stop watching trailers nowadays because it seems like they either make me not want to watch a movie or give the whole movie away. Why does Hollywood not know how to cut a trailer that leaves something to the imagination and/or is enticing?

  4. Elisa the I. says:

    Oh my. O_o

  5. Twink says:

Have you guys seen the leaked scene from Mariah’s Hallmark Xmas movie? Omg, it’s so amazingly bad, can’t wait.

  6. L says:

Anyone else waiting for the Funny or Die music before/ during/ after that trailer?? hahahahaa

  7. jammypants says:

Wow that was pretty bad. Cavill, pretty though he may be, doesn’t seem like the most inspiring casting for donning the cape. No one’s been able to top Reeves.

  8. Bridget says:

How did they screw up this movie so badly?

  9. The Original Mia says:

I laughed. Am I supposed to be impressed with this? After the Captain America trailer? GTFO. It ain’t happening. This looks stupid. Angry Supes with his minions holding Batman hostage. Like…what the heck is going on with this movie?

    • Mia4s says:

Well in fairness it’s visually a lot better looking than the Captain America trailer (Marvel movies are soooooo cheap looking) but in the race to be the least silly looking overwrought superhero movie, Civil War wins. 😉

      • The Original Mia says:

I disagree. It’s dark to match the grimdark nature of this film. That neither makes it better looking nor more interesting than Captain America.

    • danielle says:

Yeah, superman has minions? Who bow down to him? He’s evil in this movie?

      • Ankhel says:

Superman has always liked it when those puny mortals worship him on their knees, don’t you know. Or maybe that was Loki.

Also, is that trenchcoat Batman’s attempt at incognito, to spy on Superman’s lair or something? Because man, he’s got his suit on under it. With pointy ears. Ahahahaha!

  10. Rice says:

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! *Wipes tears* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  11. Nicole says:

That is clearly a nightmare. Everything is pretty extra. I actually have confidence in Affleck to pull it off. I think its gonna be okay.

  12. Tiffany says:

How….in the hell….does….Zack Synder……keep getting work and hundred of millions of dollars at his disposal.

Does he have photos, I mean…what is it.

    • FLORC says:

      I wonder the same thing.

    • PennyLane says:

It’s amazing how many directors keep putting out bombs and still get hired to direct major studio projects.

Is there a director shortage? Do they need to keep hiring the same mediocre people over and over again?? If so, why???

      It just seems so weird.

    • Miss M says:

Sack Snyder just sh!t on my “any movie with Diane Lane is a good movie” rule. Paraphrasing Alex P.: F-k them! I am not paying (to see this).

    • isabelle says:

He is truly a bad director. Michael Bay at least knows he is a blow them up type of guy, doesn’t pretend to be a great director. Sales his movies as cheese. Snyder is on the same level as Bay, worse actually because he places himself in the leagues of good directors. Maybe ist the connection to Christopher Nolan that gives him the power? Whatever after this ones gets the bad reviews, he may be demoted like M. Knight.

    • lucy2 says:

I don’t get it either, I’ve seen a couple of his movies and really disliked them. I truly hated Man of Steel, and this looks really horrible. I don’t understand why he keeps being given this large budget properties.

  13. Giddy says:

Constipated Superman (maybe with a side of hemorrhoids) unmasks pissed off Batfleck whose long coat was supposed to disguise his non-superhero physique. I’m gonna have to pass.

    • als says:

      LOL, good description.
I see tomorrow they’re dropping a new full trailer, one that must have been put together in one week since that’s how much time has passed since Marvel dropped Civil War’s trailer.

    • lucy2 says:

      LOL!
“Psst, boss, Batman’s looking a little chubby.”
“Um…put a trench coat on him.”

  14. Norman Bates's Mother says:

Lady Gaga had an obvious work done, but on top of that – the reason her face looks diffrent every single time is that she uses a face tape to change its shape. I saw pictures of her poor skin taped to her skalp – it’s incredibly damaging and must be super uncomfortable. When she’s old, she’ll have to get a face lift and heavy botox or otherwise she’ll look like shar pei.

  15. escondista says:

I thought Reece’s trees used to look more tree-like but, look, I don’t buy 4.00 per bag chocolate and peanut butter candy expecting it took look more appetizing than reindeer poop. It’s cheap, nostalgic candy. If I want a beautiful chocolate peanut butter ganache tree with lovely little fondant decor I’ll go to a local chocolatier. People need to get over themselves and relax a bit.

    • FLORC says:

This is the Reeces Easter Egg. Then they made it a football for Superbowl stuff. It still looked like an egg. Now it’s an egg shape in a Christmas tree package. All I care about is the taste and it’s gone before I form a deep thought about its shape.

  16. Josefina says:

This is why I blame DC for the superhero fatigue people are facing. Marvel puts an effort to make good films and series. They try. This looks so brutally stupid.

I HATE YOU DC, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!!!!!!

    • Eden75 says:

I hate them for ruining Batman again. What a pi$$ off.

    • Ankhel says:

There, there. I think you need to spend a little time looking at gifs featuring Captain America in tight clothing. You’ll feel better, I promise!

  17. Tiffany27 says:

    CACKLING @ Henry Cavill’s “angry face”. I CAN’T!

  18. FLORC says:

This Looks HILARIOUS! Like Screen Junkies or Cinema Sins takes trailers and makes them something else. This is perfect the way it is. Hilariously perfect.

  19. i_dont'_get_it says:

Guys, according to the “Internet” this was a dream sequence. So lets not judge beforehand.

    • als says:

      That’s even worse.
Everyone knows the movie is about conflict between Superman and Batman. Isn’t it redundant to make a dream scene about it?

      • FLORC says:

        Mark
        Have a seat.

A fream sequence about conflict inside a movie about the exact issue? Yes. There’s nothing new it’s revealing. It’s not even insightful for a dream sequence. It’s blunt and silly in it’s execution.

  20. Zazz says:

    LMAO at this trailer !

  21. Chuchu says:

Wow, I seriously must be the only person who loved the teaser. Marvel movies are too dork for me. Or maybe tumblr and their Loki and Stuck fetish has tuned me off watching their movies. I haven’t seen anything since Ironman 2, which was awful. Tried watching Age of Ultron on a plane, was bored after 2 minutes. Everything else is just me for me.

  22. vavavoom says:

I didn’t think it looked that bad. But I’m a Superman fan 🙂 the original story is already sort of cheesy on its own. I’m looking forward to it. And if Batman is still grumpy and a little older, like previous batmans, I think Ben Affleck may pull it off.

  23. Miss M says:

Hahahahahahahaha, it is really bad. A nightmare indeed!

  24. Slushie says:

It’s all so dumbed down, isn’t it? And what’s with the guards getting to their knees. I saw another trailer where Superman was basically Jesus. I feel embarrassed for the actors selling out and working with this material.

  25. Chuchu says:

This why I’m grateful to DC for not catering to fan girls or fan boys. Pandering just makes awfull movies. If fan girls /fan boys had their way Christopher Nolan batman trilogy would have been utter crap.

    • Zazz says:

To be fair the TDK trilogy is the only bright spot from DC since the Burton movies in the early 90’s. and that’s mainly because of Nolan and his clear independant take from the studio.

Since 2000, DC has offered us the likes of Catwoman, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern, Superman Returns among other massive duds.

I just hope that after Nolan, they won’t reconnect so consistently with their incredibly duds track record or worse, give us a movie that challenges the ‘glorious’ shumackeresque DC era, which Green Lantern nearly did, including in the villain department that was on par with the likes of Mr Freeze..

    • FLORC says:

As a fan of DC comic universes I liked Nolan’s TDK take. It had it’s place and did it well. My only complaints were Hathaway as a terrible catwoman and the mid casting change of Holmes to Gyllenhaal. Outside of that I can let slide things like physics, nuke bomb with no fallout risk/speed of light travel by batman/train travel systems, etc.. Because I understand it’s another universe of possibilities. Grains of salt for price of entertainment and imagination.

That all said how would pandering have ruined it? By giving in to every single complaint by minorities and by far not majorities? If true you can apply your logic to every single film ever. So, it really holds no worth imo.

      Zazz
Mr Freeze made me cringe worse than Clooney as batman. And the cheesy romancer in me wished the Robin/BatGirl story line was more… Tease!
And I hope lessons were learned from how terrible that and GL was. Although, from the trailers released lately there’s 1 redeeming factor in the mess of releases. Margot Robbie. Everything else seems so campy and tryhard. Tryhard like the latest Fantastic 4.

  26. Illyra says:

A lot of people were disappointed by Snyder’s Man of Steel, but I’ve seen it four or five times and thought that it got better with each viewing. Looking forward to Batman v Superman.

    • FLORC says:

So many redeeeming qualities about MoS. What ruined it for me was the script overall. Like scenes were cut and I was waiting for continuation of story. And the fight scenes that went on so long with quick camera jerks I forgot what I was watching and how long I had been watching it. On par with the last Transformers fight scenes. Too many continuous minutes of SFX to fill gaps of dialogue.

  27. Jenna says:

the Nolan movies gave DC credibility. But DC has gone back to their roots of fluff and terrible casting choices. And yes – Christopher Reeves was the best Superman thus far – but if you watch anything past superman two you’ll realize the sequals were poorly written cash grabs. Someone at the top at DC does not give a hoot about the fan base that continues to purchase comics and merchandise. lets not even talk about the horrible mess that was Catwoman.

    • Chuchu says:

Cat woman and those Superman was many many years ago. And if look back at marvel movie history they made some of the worse comic book movies ever. Ever seen the original captain America movie? And the TV movies? some of the worst stuff ever, nothing but cash grabs. Pure and utter crap.

  28. Neil says:

OMG, OMG! I’m so non-excited about this!!!!
