Pamela Anderson is not the brightest bulb in the shed. A while back, she posed naked for PETA’s “I’d rather go naked…” campaign, and has been one of their celebrity spokespeople. That didn’t stop her from wearing Uggs, however, or driving a car with leather seats, or being a spokesperson for Vivienne Westwood, who uses leather and feathers in her lines. (Thanks to The Deceiver for keeping track of her PETA transgressions.)
Now Pam and Audrina Patridge have been booked to open a steakhouse/strip club in NYC. Maybe it’s been too long since I’ve been to a steakhouse, but don’t they still cook meat there?
While America’s current economic crisis might be causing a reduction in the number of men heading into strip clubs, recent studies have shown that it is increasing the number of women who want to perform on a pole. So while there are no guarantees that Pamela Anderson and Audrina Patridge will be flashing any flesh, the two Hollywood hotties have been booked to launch a new Gentleman’s Club entitled “Sapphire New York” on April 27th which will be part of Prime 333 Steakhouse on the Upper East Side. (It makes you think about “meat markets” in a whole new light, right?)
According to the invitation, the former “Baywatch” babe and “The Hills” hottie will be joined by Sopranos cast member Steve Schirripa, while Lindsay Lohan’s ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson turns the tables.

I’m not a huge fan of PETA’s practices, but if you’re going to be a spokesperson for a cause, then go all the way. If you’re a celebrity and you’re part of any organization like that, you have an obligation to set an example. Either Pam doesn’t understand this, or all that bleach really has gone to her head. Or she’s really desperate for money. Her reality show was terrible, and she’s planning on getting married to a surfer – I’m guessing she’ll be supporting their family financially.
As for Audrina – why does anyone care and why did they book her? If she didn’t have such great abs, no one would pay attention to her at all. I get irritated just looking at her vapid ceiling-eyes and fake boobs. I guess the steakhouse’s only requirement was that their opening ladies be dimwitted and have implants. Sounds like half of Hollywood to me.

A steakhouse/stripclub. That just screams slogans such as “Get all the meat you need here”.

Oh…I can’t WAIT to see PETA’s statement about this!

Those pictures of Pam are awful. How old is she now because she does not look like a healthy 30 something mom, she looks rough.

If she’d lay off the make-up and tanning she wouldn’t look so rough. She’s one of those celebrities that had a successful look and kept it for the past 20 yrs. She needs some updating!

Its about time. Every other celeb that poses for PETA does the same or wears fur. Either way PETA is a joke. How about they stop giving money to celebrities to pose and spend that money on finding homes for the animals they adopt! Ohhh that’s right they don’t practice what the preach. In the last 5 years they have killed 98% of all the animals they adopted! In many cases they the kill the dog’s and cats just hours after they were adopted by PETA. It’s a sad world that people back up an organization like this because they are too lazy and ignorant to look into the truth!

Is this a freakin fact? Come on! How could this be happening and people not know?

As someone said yesterday in regards to Hulk Hogan, “You can’t fix stupid”, it applies to Pamela as well.

Just click on the link on this page with the cute kitty. (I Can Has Lethal Injection?) It gives you all the info you need about PETA’s ‘dirty little secret.’

people keep repeating this nonesense about peta killling animals… i dislike conspiracy theorists… they have no reason to be doing this… furthermore, it is far less likely they are getting away with it… just another case of people who have too much time on their hands and don’t know what to do with it…
and oh yeah, pam needs to update that “paint on” makeup software of hers…

It’s not a conspiracy theory, Christina! There are facts about PETA all over the place, but people still support them to get their names in the press or b/c they are afraid of them.
PETA activists are nothing but domestic terrorists IMO and I say that as an animal lover. Support the Humane Society, not PETA!

You can look it up yourself. Go to PETAkillsAnimals.com They have links of the actual government records that PETA themselves have to fill out. If you leave out the animals that are given to them to be spayed/neutered, the vast majority of animals they take in are killed.
I’m not bashing PETA volunteers, but those who are actually in charge of PETA are nuts.
And they do have a reason for it. Caring for all those animals would cost time and money. And they don’t even want pets to exist in the first place, so they do not care about killing healthy animals if they can keep it from the public. Its easier to just think up some stupid campaign or show a picture of a sad animals on your website and reap the donations. The HSUS is the same way, except probably worse since they have a more deceptive name. Just do a Google search of how much money the person who runs the HSUS makes.
Here is a post I saw on craigslist earlier today.
“Except PETA doesn’t only euthanize sick, diseased, agressive animals.
While their volunteers may be clueless about it, those who run PETA do not care if healthy animals are killed to further their goal of pet extinction.

Here is an article where they ADMIT to killing healthy adoptable animals. They say its because they “have no room” for them or other such nonsense. Maybe they would have room if they spent a fraction of there $30 million dollar budget to open a shelter. Apparently they value their money over saving the lives of these animals.
How can you say animals are equal to people, and then go and kill healthy ones because you are too cheap to open a shelter? They don’t even have a space on their website to alert members to adoptable pets looking for homes.
Not to mention the whole fiasco with their employees taking healthy pets from shelters and vet clinics, under the agreement that they would try finding them homes, and then just taking them straight into their van to kill them that same day. They even killed a mama cat and her kittens. Then they dumped their bodies in a Piggly Wiggly dumpster. PETA paid the legal fees to defend those two scum bags so they wouldn’t have to do community service. Ironically, they’re lucky animals don’t have rights. If they did, they would have been charged with more than just “littering.” Obviously, PETA has no qualms with killing healthy pets.”
Also, if you don’t believe it, you can ask PETA yourself. You will not get a real answer though because they will skirt around the issue and not address your claims. That is, if you can even get something other than an automated reponse.

okay PETA is waaaaay out there. I agree as an animal lover. However they have single handedly brought regulation to vivisection labs (live animals testing), they have battled with the military and won against obscene bloodletting ammo tests on beagles and pigs. They are the driving force behind more human killing in the meat industry. And I think wearing fur is gross. As looney as they are are they get some big battles wont that NO other organization wants to touch. That said I give them some respect. They are looney, but when they dig their claws in on serious stuff they get results.

I am always so amused by people that put so much time into criticizing organizations that have good intentions. If it weren’t for PETA, who would be putting animal issues in the spotlight? Why don’t you write 5 paragraphs about Monsanto? Now, that would actually be a meaningful use of your time.
As far as Pam doing a gig at a steakhouse goes, what’s the big deal? Is she eating a steak as part of her act? Meat eaters are so quick to judge vegetarians – what are you doing for the planet?

You have a good point, Jessica. Also, can someone please explain to me Audrina Patridge’s “ceiling eyes?” Her pictures are so disconcerting.

i find these articles difficult to believe… ever consider that they are falsifying information in order to promote THEIR agenda…
i think they would be prosecuted if these statistics were true… i can’t imagine turning a blind eye if these numbers are on target?
i spoke to a friend who volunteered at PETA for quite a while and was pretty adamant in denying any knowledge or experience of peta killings.
anyway, it just doesn’t make sense to me that this organization would spend so much time and energy in order to get their point across… but be nonchalantly killing animals on the side… they just wouldn’t be able to get away with it…

I would like suggestions for making a SASKATCHEWAN farm profitable. I am waiting for the mortgage to be finalized. I have given numerous animals homes so I am not comfortable with raising animals for slaughter. I can not make bank payments without products. The balance of the land will be cash crop and I had thought of sheep for wool/or not. I am moving to the farm with my rescued dogs. I have room for rescued cats and have a rescued pot bellied pig waiting for me. I am able to take larger animals when the fence has been built. I am interested in alpacas, llamas and horses. I would like to set up bee colonies to better the crops and huge vegetable garden. So if anyone has any suggestions other than staying away from a farm, please comment.
