Last December, we checked in on Paris Hilton’s life and we learned that she was in a pretty serious relationship with an Austrian “entrepreneur” named Thomas Gross. They were together for much of 2015, and late last year, Paris announced that she was moving to Switzerland full-time to be with Gross – he calls Switzerland home, and I assumed she moved into his home. Paris Hilton being Paris Hilton, she made a big deal about it and announced the move (complete with a D-visa) to the European press. Well, four months later and the whole thing is done.
Life & Style Weekly has exclusively learned that Paris Hilton and her Austrian boyfriend, Thomas Gross, have called it quits after a year of dating.
“They are both friends and remain close but with their busy work schedules and the long distance it just got too difficult,” sources close to the pair told Life & Style.
Paris, 35, who has built herself a global empire of fragrances estimated to be worth over $2.5 billion is an in-demand DJ traveling all over the world for her shows and running her business empire.
“Paris is very close with her family and her sister Nicky Hilton is about to have a baby. She really wants to be there for her and be an aunt. It broke her heart being so far away from family,” the insiders continued. Friends of the couple know they met in Cannes, France in 2015 and spent the summer in Ibiza together when she performed as a DJ.
“They remain close friends and care for each other but work and the distance just got in the way. She will be back in Ibiza for her DJ residency all summer and he has to be in Switzerland for his work, it’s an impossible situation,” the sources added.
I know we’re supposed to make fun of Paris, but I think she had some completely legitimate reasons for ending the relationship if this report is true. She’s focusing on her work, and she wants to have a homebase in the US so she can be a doting aunt. Why should Paris move her life and “give up” things just to be at her dude’s beck-and-call in Switzerland? Also, once I read this story, I realized that this is why Paris has been so extra at Coachella the past two weekends.

this is the classic reason given to the press though. understandable that celebs dont want to go into the details but most of the time its not the real reason. lots of people make it work and if you care about someone and they care about you you’ll find a compromise, specifically if money is no concern.

That statement is so true. Married men and women in the military make it work all the time. At least celebs can sneak in some quality time a day here and there but a soldier can’t do that when they’re miles away in another country and must stay there a year or more before they can go home for a visit.

One and only thing that I liked about Paris Hilton was that she notoriously was anti-fur but I guess she changed her mind when I saw the Instagram pic with her ex
Yet she abused her own pets and discarded them when they weren’t popular anymore…She’s one of the worst celebrities out there. Even during her peak, I didn’t like her. Nicole Richie made their reality show and Paris never appreciated her friends. She helped ruin so many of her famous ‘friends’ and she’s a big racist on top of everything else.

Paris was famous for treating her pets as accessories, to the point where she’d forget about them and word was housekeepers would find dead dogs that got shut in her closet and forgotten about. And this was all over the place during her heyday.
Oh, and of course don’t forget the racist stuff, and of course the drugs. Paris Hilton is a nasty, nasty piece of work.
This is why I’m happy she’s no longer a thing. She’s a disgusting person who starved pets to death. She and Mrs Timberlake used dogs as props but didn’t properly care for them.
I’m surprised she hasn’t settled down and had kids herself by now.

Oh my how Paris must regret letting the little dark haired girl with the big ass hang out with her. She had the spotlight pointed directly on her even as she did her walk of shame out of jail. Hopefully she will get the last laugh when KK disappears….please let her disappear. Paris was a train wreck but didn’t force herself on us as her pal does.
The problem is that there are more that justvKim. She has that whole train wreck of a family. I think that’s why Paris kind of dropped out of view but the K’s kept gaining traction. There are so many of them, all with their own trumped up drama. Now the youngest girls are on the band wagon. When their time is up, we’ll have north and her cousins to contend with, and on, and on, and on.

I really like it when people post pictures calling each other soulmates or one true love and whatever and break up soon after. One of the greatest joys in life bar none
lol my friend did that. Posting all these pictures and showing off what she did for him for his birthday (after 3 months of dating), advertised his business to people blah, blah, blah. 2 weeks later they were done. She has a new one now it’s been 5-6 months and he’s the love of her life, best friend, soulmate etc.
How does one make 2.5 billion selling bloody perfume. Seriously. Its so gross that maybe 1% of the people I come across even wear perfume anymore. People are becoming so sensitized to chemical smells these days that everything has to be unscented everywhere.
The thing is, she knew about her sister before she moved. She knew about his career before she moved. She knew about her career before she moved. She could have looked at a map before she moved.
On the other hand, maybe she thought about it but didn’t realize how hard it was going to be once she got there. The course of true Paris love never did run smooth.
Is there a reason Swiss residency would be appealing?
I was hoping they would get married so she would be known as “Paris Hilton Gross”
