Charlie Hunnam steps out in NYC with his much-maligned girlfriend Morgana

FFN_GUE_HUNNAM_C_4232016_52033090

Here are some photos of Charlie Hunnam out and about with his girlfriend Morgana McNelis in NYC this weekend. Charlie has been with Morgana for several years, but they seem to have a pretty low-key, not-scandalous relationship, and as such, they’re rarely photographed together. She never walks the red carpet with Charlie, and if I’m being honest, this is the first time I’ve ever gotten a good look at her. She’s pretty! She looks like Piper Perabo, right?

Last month, there was actually a somewhat crazy situation involving Charlie, Morgana and Charlie’s obsessive fans. Charlie’s obsessive fans were going online and saying mean/nasty things about Morgana, and Charlie heard about it. So he tried to ask his fans nicely to lay off Morgana. He did this by sending an email to a woman who runs one of his fan-sites, giving her permission to publish the email. And she did – go here to read. And then she got hate from Charlie’s fans, so he had to send video proof that he was the one who actually sent the email and asking his fans to go easy on the fan-site lady – go here to see. The whole incident was really strange. But it just goes to show you… celebrities do read what people say about them. And they read what we write about their girlfriends/boyfriends too. So to Charlie Hunnam’s die-hard fans: Charlie is with Morgana, not you. I’m sorry. But don’t drag this poor woman just because she gets Hot Hunnam Action on the reg.

He’s not my cup of tea but they seem like a lovely couple. And wow, superfans really know how to get worked up, don’t they?

    • KB says:

Have you seen Sons of Anarchy? He’s one of those guys that is better in motion. I don’t typically like blond haired guys but Charlie Hunnam transcends “type” lol

      • tealily says:

I cosign this comment, start to finish.

      • Locke Lamora says:

I don’t find him hot in SOA, but has anyone seen Green Street? He was so hot in that.

      • Esmom says:

I haven’t seen SOA but now that my ONE show, Better Call Saul, is over for a while, maybe I’ll finally check it out. And I have no problems with blond guys, my attraction to Brad Pitt goes way back. 🙂

    • Nike says:

Now I like him even more.

  2. roxane says:

Jesus those so-called fan are pretty dcary we laught about it but the day one of them start getting violent … I’m glad Charlie defended her they are so many british actors who could the same with their “fans”.

  3. Tifygodess24 says:

I have never understood stans. I find it terribly pathetic as well. They get way too aggressive, possessive and over step so many boundaries. As much as you may think you “know” your favorite celebrity “oh so well”, you don’t. It’s one thing to gossip and have fun, another thing to get all types of crazy. What is wrong with people?

    • Mel M says:

Me either. I am so far at the other end of the spectrum, I don’t see how people get this worked up and spend this much time thinking about a person they have not and most likely never will meet. Do female some female celebrities have crazy male fans that act like this? I mean besides the twihards, but that was more of them as a couple and not just Kristen.

      • Meg D says:

They do, but I think fandom is a more communal experience for women. A dangerously obsessed male fan isn’t going to start a Tumblr blog trashing an actress’s boyfriend’s dress sense, he’s just going to break into her home and try to rape her.

Okay that’s an extreme but most stalkers are male. We just don’t hear about it because it’s done in private. Look at Lily Allen, no one knew about her stalker until seven years later. I’m not defending these women in the slightest but trashing someone online is not on the same level as actual stalking.

    • Saks says:

+1, I’ll never understand those who want their idols to stay single, I mean is not like if they are going to marry them or something…

      • InvaderTak says:

And if they did marry them, what makes them think others wouldn’t do he same thing to them? I mean, duh.

      • KB says:

Lol many years ago I had a friend that loved The Office and when I told her John Krasinski was with Emily Blunt she was literally upset about it. Twenty-five year old woman upset that some actor had a girlfriend.

      • Saks says:

Invadertak, exactly! But apparently they all think they are the one soul mate of their imaginary celebrity boyfriends

KB, when I was 7 years old I was so mad when Kevin Richardson (from the Backsteet Boys, he was my very first celebrity crush) got married, lol! But that was the only time I can recall being so invested in a celebrity’s love life…

    • ladysussex says:

Yes that’s how I feel when people are saying nasty things about Kate Middleton and her family on here.

      • KB says:

Except they don’t like William either lol

      • NUTBALLS says:

The Duke and Duchess Dolittle deserve the lion’s share of the criticism they get here. Unlike Morgana who simply had the *gall* to be sleeping with someone’s fantasy boyfriend.

    • HeyThere! says:

I had friends like these super fans growing up. NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Hanson in middle school. I NEVER understood it! It takes a unique personality, for sure. I never understood the celiberty obsession. I can like an artist, but not know their middle name, birth date, parents house address, favorite food, dogs name…but some people can’t. LOL I had friends in high school that would literally fight over Nick Carter in backstreet boys. Call each other names, and not talk for weeks because ‘she wants to marry him, too. She doesn’t like him MORE THAN ME!!!!!’ I was like CREEPY!!!!!!

    • lile says:

Like those 1D young men….NO WONDER they are “taking a break”. Their “fans” are completely out of their minds. Why stay together and deal with 4x the “fans” when they can break up and just deal with 1/4 of the insanity??!!?? I believe that is what they are doing.

  4. Tiffany says:

For some reason I thought they were married.

But, yeah, that needs to stop.

  5. GlimmerLinnie says:

Why would fans hate on her? I think they look really good together and I’m a fan of his!

    • Mia4s says:

As I understand it she was arrested and convicted of illegally selling marijuana…so of course they decided their precious little snowflake was being manipulated and lied too. 🙄 He couldn’t possibly be a grown man who decided he was fine with the situation. Oh no! That might make him less than ideal! 🙄

      • HeidiM says:

Yeah This^^^. It wasn’t just because she gets the Hunnam D!ck, but still he’s a grownup and can choose whoever he wants.

      • KB says:

And isn’t he a well-known pot head anyways? And what she was arrested for isn’t even a crime anymore in CA, is it? She was only allowed to sell weed as a collective or something and they accused her of selling it to someone who came in outside of the collective. Lol those stans make her sound like Pablo Escobar.

      • D says:

Have you seen that video on youtube with Charlie Hunnam, some of the Sons of Anarchy cast and Snoop Dogg? They’re so high.

    • isabelle says:

Jealous fans. They probably live in the fantasy land of them being the perfect girlfriend for Charlie. They make fun of her looks all the time as well and she is a pretty girl. Jealous bitter women.

  6. Florencia says:

    baby bump

  7. Kristen says:

    Some people are f-ing nuts.

  8. Biting Panda says:

One of the best things about the SOA cast was their social media interactions. I don’t see how anyone could call themselves a fan of a celebrity, then mercilessly rip on a person that celebrity cares about. That’s some delusional shit. I love that Charlie took the time to speak directly to those unhinged chicks. Too bad they can’t hear him through all the crazy.

    • Anname says:

That’s the question, did it do any good? Did the crazy fans listen, or just hate her even more? I don’t know if responding to these people is a good thing or not, since it gives them the attention they crave. I can see why he chose to do it but in the long run I don’t know if it will help or hurt him and his girlfriend.

      • Kyle says:

That’s a keen thought. It’s hard to decide on those grounds, but what acknowledging it does is take the wind from beneath crazy ppl’s wings. It becomes an immediate cliche to still hate her afterwards, and by the magic rules of crazy ppl they start policing themselves and one another to seem sane.

But at the same time I don’t know why so many celebs and non famous ppl get offended so easily. Why post to social media at all if you don’t want opinions to be formed about you and your life? When you stop posting your entire life online that stuff fades away, but then you can no longer use it as a promotion tool either. Celebs go to great lengths to drum up interest in their personal lives to create fandoms then get pissed when ppl are actually interested enough to want more, more, more. That’s a bit hypocritical to me.

      • KB says:

I mean they’re obviously crazy to begin with, but if their argument was “we want to protect him from her evil ways” maybe they can’t say that anymore? Some celebrities seem to attract such rabid, unhinged “fans.” It must be terrifying.

      • Meg D says:

Kyle, that’s not true, and way to victim blame. You can be as private as you like and still be stalked and abused. Most of the biggest celeb victims are really private and don’t engage with fans directly.

Neither David Tennant nor Benedict Cumberbatch have ever had any kind of social media, or even an official website. Tennant has always been obsessively private about keeping his relationship and family out of the public eye (has literally never once posed with his wife or walked a red carpet together, wouldn’t even acknowledge her existence until years after they married, walked out of interviews if anyone asked even an innocuous question about her, and kept the very existence of his youngest children out of the press for A YEAR). And yet he still has stans who stalk him and spread hate and evil conspiracy theories about his marriage online 24/7, have hacked into her FB twice, hacked his sister and nieces’ FBs, and posted his home address online.

Cumberbatch is a little more open in that he and his wife attend events together and he occasionally mentions her, but he has still kept his marriage and his child very private compared to most actors (his child has only ever been papped properly once, at nearly a year old) and the insane hate and stalking campaigns against his marriage and family are infamous and involve real life stalking and continual harassment of his friends, co-workers, bosses, charities he’s involved with, random strangers who see him on the street, basically anybody tangentially connected to him.

I don’t see how Tennant and Cumberbatch could conceivably do anything more, other than quit acting and move to Outer Mongolia, to maintain their privacy and try to discourage their stans.

    • NUTBALLS says:

I thought it was an interesting move to talk directly to the uber fans. I wonder if it did any good to hear it directly from their idol.

Kyle, I would counter that even those who don’t engage in social media directly (Cumbers, for example), deal with all this crazy. Hiddleston pulled back considerably a couple of years ago and he’s still got his crazy fans posting about him every day, even when he’s not promoting and is completely off the radar.

It’s really sad when someone’s fantasy boyfriend consumes their waking hours while they ignore the people in front of them who they could be investing their time and energy in to.

  9. AJ says:

The interesting part of the story is that the fuss was made about obsessive fans whos behavior i agree is ugly, but internet scandal about her was started not by fans but from her customers who filed about the poor quality and shitty treatement by her jewelery firm. Plus those who said nasty things about her mostly were talking about hypocracy bc she presents herself as a succesful designer and she obviously is not,and in real life she is working as a bartender in a dive bar and is convicted felon. So it wasn’t about not liking her, but about not liking to be lied to.
Though i admire CH for defending her even if she did eerything to piss his fans

    • Samtha says:

Yeah, I still don’t get it. It just sounds like the crazy fans think she’s not good enough for “their” celebrity. She’s not a hypocrite just because she doesn’t behave the way people who don’t even know her think she should. Come on, now.

It makes me wonder if any of them know about business at all. No one sells their services by saying something like, “I’m an artist, but I haven’t worked on many projects yet, and I’m not sure how great I’d be at it anyway.” You sell your business by highlighting your assets and potential. It’s not hypocritical that this chick didn’t add a “PS I also work as a bartender” to her business card.

    • Lara says:

It was the stan who runs the fan site who contacted him somehow and told him that there were mean comments being made about her and convinced him to make the video and email, I heard about it all second hand and the stan who started it all is just insane and goes to every forum, message board, comments section, etc, and starts bulling people who don’t worship him like she does.

I’m sure she’ll turn up here too lol!

      • Samtha says:

The “stan” who started it all is friends with him in real life, at least going by what Charlie himself said in that video. That’s the extent of my knowledge.

      • KB says:

It doesn’t make you a Stan because you run a fan site. Listen to Eminem’s song again.

      • Spiderpig says:

Methinks some of the stans he’s talking about are getting all up in this thread… I mean really if you care about or even know about the exact details of some random non-famous woman’s career that’s a sign of being a bit overinvested. I have no idea if my favourite actors are married or not (apart from the ones in high profile celeb couples, of course). Why seek that info out?

There’s something very meta about articles about crazy obsessive fans being posted and seeing a bunch of comments going “no but she actually IS teh eveeeeel let me share my 50,000 word essay on why.” Not so much here but the XOJane article on the Cumberbatch stans and the Buzzfeed one about Larries had just hundreds of comments from people explaining patiently why it was obvious both men were faking babies and passing off plastic dolls as their sons.

      • AJ says:

Oh she can! i read on imdb that before she reported about those things which were said about his gf,she actually registetered fake accounts at different places and pretendet to hate her, so that way she stirred all nasty talks aside complaints about bad service and talks were fans were surprised that she pleaded for not guilty despete being caught in the act selling pot to minors from nearby high school by undercover cop. Before that crazy stan there were no talks like she doesn’t deserve him,or she is using him.Only talks about what she did in her life to ppl,to fans etc.

    • I’m glad he defended her too because none of that justifies them having a say in her personal life but many out there don’t see that boundary.

    • Schnee says:

Dear God. Listen to yourself. Some people didn’t like her jewelry crafting and she sold some weed to friends? That is it? I don’t think adults really care about these things. This seems like a ‘sheltered teenagers’ outrage. Does she also sometimes cross the street at a red light? Ahahaha. Oh man. I hope Charlie and her marry soon. They seem like a lovely couple.

  10. Liz says:

His girlfriend is really beautiful in that ethereal way. However, her lips, especially her upper lip, look unnatural. She needs to back off the filler.

    • kennedy says:

Is it filler? Because I can’t tell if she just has very large lips that happen to be natural but look unnatural or if she has very bad fillers that scream “I’ve been filled!”

      • Liz says:

I think it’s probably an implant at the top. She has full lips in all her photos on Google, but that top lip is not look as bongo-like as they are here. However, I would love to see photos of her from 10-15 years ago because she has a “done” quality in almost all her photos. In some she resembles Octomom.

    • KB says:

I don’t think it’s filler. People claim she used to look different, but I’ve yet to see any proof of her actually looking different.

      • isabelle says:

yep….she has those same lips in all of her pictures. She doesn’t look plastic anywhere else. People that get those type of fillers tend to have other surgery.

      • Samtha says:

Since I’m procrastinating today, I did a Google image search, and aside from changing her hair color, she looks pretty much the same now as she did years ago.

  11. littlemissnaughty says:

They really are so low key and have been together for such a long time, leave the woman alone. Goddamn it. She’s not even a celebrity, she’s a private citizen. I will never understand what compels a person (woman, let’s face it) to sit at their computer and write down the nasty things going through their mind. If you think it, fine. That’s your issue. But why does it need to be put out there? What’s the end game here? As if CH is going to look at his phone, read “She is just using him.” and go “BABE! Lonelygrrl91 says you’re only using me. Why didn’t I see this? WHY? I’m leaving!”

    • V4Real says:

” I will never understand what compels a person (woman, let’s face it) to sit at their computer and write down the nasty things going through their mind. If you think it, fine. That’s your issue. But why does it need to be put out there?”

But we do it all the time here on C/B.

And like what some posters said this isn’t all about being nasty to Charlie’s girlfriend. It started with her customers being unhappy with her jewelry firm and being a convicted felon who sold drugs. Then it just became a shit storm from there.

      • Samtha says:

We flood people’s social media with attacks and threats here on Celebitchy all the time? As littlemisnaughty said, she’s a private citizen, and it’s not really the fans’ business what she was convicted of.

      • littlemissnaughty says:

Okay, yelling at a private citizen on their social media is not the same as posting on a celebrity blog. Whatever she has or hasn’t done, whether her CS sucks or her jewelry stinks, I don’t believe for a second that THOSE are the reasons crazy fans are attacking her. Come on. Those are excuses. Someone further down on this thread mentioned Alexa Chung, Skarsgard’s girlfriend. Have you been on tumblr lately? I’ve stopped looking. I’m sure if you asked these women, they’d have valid reasons too. She’s too skinny. She doesn’t have a real job. She is using him. It’s always the same. Nobody is going to admit that they’re just irrational and jealous on a level that is so delusional I don’t even know how to describe it.

These are grown-ass men we’re talking about, well into their 30s. It is entirely possible that they have sh*t taste in women. It is also possible that they have found someone they’re happy with. But god forbid the woman’s jewelry isn’t up to snuff.

      • Jamie says:

Re:tumblr, one person runs at least 6 different tumblrs dedicated to hating her/them together, and they all have different names. She’s also a stalker because she lives in NYC and posts creepy pictures of them when she sees them out. She’ll probably snap one day. But if you asked her she’d probably say SHE’S the sane one anyone who doesn’t get it is crazy.

      • KB says:

It was NEVER about unhappy customers! It’s always been about Charlie. Those “unhappy customers” were probably just Hunnam’s stans trying to get closer to their obsession.

      • Spiderpig says:

Exactly. Her conviction and business complaints (if true) have zero relevance to her relationship and it’s bizarre for fans to even know about them, much less be using them as ammunition against her relationship.

      • Kitten says:

I do think there’s a difference between posting an opinion on a celeb blog and stalking and threatening someone via social media. However, I still think it’s insane when people are overly-invested in the personal lives of celebs. Even the Beyoncé post from today is an example of people getting a little too worked up over a celeb’s personal issue, something that really has ZERO impact on all of our lives. It’s just very strange to me to care that much about strangers.

      • littlemissnaughty says:

Kitten, I get where you’re coming from and frankly, I don’t understand where people find the time and energy to get that invested. Sometimes something strikes a nerve though and when people like Beyonce, Swifty, or Kanye/Kim put their personal lives out there like this, if they make money off of it, it’s at least understandable that people react. This woman has really done absolutely nothing to invite this. Frankly, if CH hadn’t gone and spoken about it publicly, there wouldn’t even be a reason to talk about her here at all.

      • V4Real says:

        @Samtha and others

Please don’t twist what the comment said. The Posters said “I will never understand what compels a person (woman, let’s face it) to sit at their computer and write down the nasty things going through their mind. If you think it, fine.

My reply said we do it all the time on C/B. She didn’t mentioned threatening messages or attacks, she just said nasty. My reply was that we make nasty comments ourselves.

And yes, I understand that she is a private citizen but once a private citizen breaks the law it’s public record and it does become everyone’s business who is paying attention to it. Bernie Madoff was a private citizen but when he broke the law it became public record and everyone’s business who was paying attention.

And if it’s fan site, most fan sites don’t allow nasty comments. If it’s on her personal page then why don’t a private citizen have her accounts set to private so only friends and family members can view her accounts; not have it public for the entire world to see.

I don’t become that invested in any celebrities life and tend to mock the people who do. Especially when it involves a certain famous couple. I even poke fun at the celebs I adore.

      • Samtha says:

@V4Real, are you honestly comparing a woman who apparently sold pot to friends, to Bernie Madoff, who bilked hundreds of people of their life savings and caused economic problems for people throughout the country?? That was everyone’s business because it literally affected the US as a whole.

Who has this girl’s crime affected? Other than creepy fans with boundary issues, apparently.

    • Jamie says:

Right? Psycho fans of almost EVERY male celebrity all say the exact same thing. “She’s using him! Why are we the only ones who can see it??? She’s a famewhore who’s trapping him!!!” It’s always the exact same.

There are really creepy and sad people who start entire message boards and blogs devoted to hating someone’s girlfriend. Worse still they’re usually older women with children.

    • ladyE says:

Seriously. I mean, she sold pot. She didn’t murder someone. It’s so ridiculous.

    • @V4REAL
There are just as many men out there participating in this type of crazy and, quite often, they will take it further into the fun filled realm of physical stalking. Not that women don’t do that too, but lets face it cyber stalking is not a female dominated thing. Plenty of room for everyone there.

      • Jamie says:

Exactly, men are MUCH WORSE when it comes to this sort of thing. Just watch a stream of men playing a video game and listen to the disgusting things that are said. Or how worked up some men can get about sports. Sure, maybe they don’t go gaga over celebrities, but it just takes different forms.

      • V4Real says:

But that wasn’t my argument at all. The poster said what compels people to sit at a computer and write nasty comments. My reply was that even here on C/B we post nasty comments.

      • Yes, I understand that it wasn’t your primary argument, but you said that women are more likely to be involved in this kind of behavior and I disagreed.

  12. kennedy says:

First of all, I AM HIS GIRLFRIEND and I don’t appreciate being labeled “much maligned…”

    🙂

Ok, all jokes aside. He is SO HOT it is unfair. And I love the little golf hat. Idk who this side chick is but I think it’s who Beyonce was referring to as Becky with the good hair… except her hair is not nearly as great as Rachel Roy’s.

In conclusion, I want to touch his hiney and I wish Lost City of Z was premiering at Cannes b/c we need Charlie + Hunnam Hump + tux ASAP.

    • V4Real says:

That made me laugh because you sound so serious. 🙂

    • meme says:

I don’t think so, babe. Charlie’s MINE ALL MINE and has been for years and years.

He IS unfairly hot and totally not into the whole phony Hollywood scene. There’s nothing wrong with Morgana…his fans are just jealous that he loves her and she loves him.

“In conclusion, I want to touch his hiney and I wish Lost City of Z was premiering at Cannes b/c we need Charlie + Hunnam Hump + tux ASAP. ” OH YES WE DO!!!!!!

  13. Miss M says:

It is just me or she looks a bit different in these photos?!
They have been together for so long, that’s awesome!

  14. ied says:

    Calling her naturally beautiful? LMAO

Google her pre-PS images. Those duck lips and cheeks are doctor made.

    • isabelle says:

So what? She is still attractive, probably more attractive than a lot of us. Stop wasting your day caring about stupid stuff like worrying about a hot guys lucky girlfriends lips.

    • Miss M says:

She is still pretty and he is still with her all theae years even after become famous. I think she has a lot to offer than looks, non??

    • claire says:

I just did. Holy moly. Yeah, she’s had a ton of work. She looks so much better in her older photos. Now, her eyes are getting smaller while her lips and cheeks are getting bigger. She’s well on her way to Madame territory. Ugh. She was beautiful in those older photos. There is some serious dysmorphia going on with women these days in celebrity world.

      • KB says:

Oh please. Receipts or it didn’t happen.

      • Kitten says:

Do you have links? Honestly, I did a Google image search and she looks the exact same to me-the only difference being whether she’s wearing makeup or not. She’s VERY pretty….definitely unique-looking too.

    • Meh says:

Really? I googled a bit and couldn’t find any “before” pics of her. I think that’s pretty much her natural face. I don’t know if I’d call her beautiful, but she is a pleasant/average looking woman. I think if he weren’t famous, they would be in the same league dating-wise.

  15. InvaderTak says:

Yeah I think that was a bad move from CH. What those types really want are validation and attention and he gave it to them.

It seems like all celeb men have this to some degree. Morgana can commiserate with Sebastian Stan’s GF and Jared and Jensen’s wives, anyone Chris Evans has dated….the list goes on and on. It’s been going on for a while I know, but it’s getting really out of hand thanks to social media.

    • KB says:

Does Chris Evans have stans? Why?

      • Spiderpig says:

OMG Chris Evans had some crazy stan hack his official Twitter and post a ton of novel length screeds basically attaching every single woman he’s ever been linked to and explaining (at great length) how he’d never really dated any of them, it was just a bunch of bizarre coincidences and people taking advantage of him and manipulation, that made it look like he was. Like going through every single time he abs his girlfriend had been papped together, done a red carpet together, worked together, with some excuse explaining it away.

  16. ReineDidon says:

“He is so hot it is unfair” this is so true !! Ugh I don’t even like blondies usually. But he breaks all the rules !
Also yeah mademoiselle has weird lips. And probably a baby bump. Good luck to them.

  17. Lara says:

I wish Alexander Skarsgard would listen to what his fans think….well what everybody thinks for that matter, about his girlfriends *sigh.

    • Tig says:

Lara- I totally get that you were being funny, and you got me laughing. Re commenting back- why admit to these loons that their comments are anything to be concerned about? Threats of physical violence are of course a different matter, but some anonymous person in wherever says you are (fill in blank), that warrants action? My question- exactly how much communication does CH have with the fan group “leader/moderator”? And that is a joke as well!

      • KB says:

In Charlie’s case, they stalk the social media of her friends and relatives, steal the photos, harass them, etc. They’re crazy.

    • Locke Lamora says:

      But his girlfriend is awesome!

  18. I love the name Morgana, so traditionally evil. Still, she looks like a perfectly nice person and she’s not forcing her boobs or genitalia into my face and that’s really all I ask for these days.

  19. Lambda says:

I’m glad he stood up to those assholes.

    • KB says:

It’s too bad he can’t just be honest and say “you’re all looney tunes and I don’t want you as fans!”

  20. Honestly, I would be terrified to be a famous person and I would probably go into a paranoid psychosis every time I saw a shadow in my yard. It would be truly frightening to know that strangers were spending their time hating on you or your loved ones in a crazy online “club”. Never knowing if, or when, one of them is going to snap and take it to the next level. Give me the fortune but keep your fame.

  21. LOLADOESTHEHULA says:

As a student of psychology, I find the pathological behaviour that happens with some women and the famous objects of their lust fascinating. Their delusions even follow an identical pattern.
1)The women are always the personification of all that is evil, they have no good qualities whatsoever.

2)the men are poor good-natured lambs who are being tricked/manipulated into the relationship

3)EVERYTHING the woman does is proof of her villainy

4)every movement the man makes when with her is proof that he doesn’t truly love her (or even hates her *sideeyes cumberbitches*)

5)anyone that disagrees with any of the aforementioned indisputable facts is obviously working for the villainess.

and these are just the mild delusions, let’s not even get into the fake baby conspiracies.

    • Jamie says:

Yeah the psychology is terrifying/fascinating. Shouldn’t the fact that the behavior of these people is almost identical, no matter who it’s about, qualify as a syndrome/mental disorder?

    • jenn12 says:

I always wonder, what are their goals? To have the famous ones see the nasty things they’re writing, hit their foreheads and say, “Oh, I get it now!?”

  22. jenn12 says:

I can’t believe how obsessive people get about those they don’t know, or see portrayed on TV/film. They make up entire scenarios about them. You can be a fan of someone without losing your mind over the person. I like how Charlie handled things.

    • Samantha says:

Few of the trolls and haters are actual fans. And they were not on Facebook. It started way back over in Lipstick Alley with these anonymous “know it alls” who were just gunning for Morgana. They give rags credit when the article disses Charlie and hop on the articles that support. They trash over there. It is what they do. If you do’t agree, they bully. Women with major issues as they have kept this going for a year. All he did was defend his girl to the “girls” over in “Trash Can Alley”. He moved on, but they are still trashing and they always will. They analyze every comment on every article or site. They post pics of his house after driving by it at night. Really? They kind of got exposed.

  23. Bethany says:

Well, considering people on here were all mad for benedict cumberbatch until he was seen with his girlfriend… I don’t think I have seen much niceness towards him or her on here since they got together

  24. Zaytabogota says:

He’s gorgeous and an amazing actor. His girlfriend is a private citizen and does not seek publicity, there’s no excuse for anybody to try make her public fodder. I like that he’s still with the same person since before he was famous and that he’s so protective of her.

  25. HeyThere! says:

I love him! She seems lovely, also. Very pretty girl! Light eyes, full lips, nice skin..what’s not to like? Just because she doesn’t look like the horrible typical Hollywood plastic surgery to the max doesn’t mean she isn’t pretty. She looks different. When will we learn different doesn’t equal ugly? Sad world where we are all suppose to look exactly the same?! People are so rude. I feel for any of these celiberty couples that get attacked by super fans.

  26. iheartgossip says:

Wow. Some fans are down right scary. Reminds me of a few that spent all the time attacking Cumberbatch over is child / wife. Cray.

    • Meg D says:

The Cumberstans are still at it, and convinced that he’s going to be arrested for child murder any day now (because when the authorities discover his baby doesn’t actually exist, because of course he doesn’t, they’re going to want to know what happened to the real baby Ben illegally registered a birth certificate for, and will naturally conclude that Ben murdered him).

  27. Amanda G says:

She’s not what I was expecting, but it’s nice that he tried to defend her. He shouldn’t have to do that with his so-called “fans.” How long have they been together? I think that just might be the secret to success for hollywood relationships…keep it as private as possible.

  28. roxane says:

If Vikander and Fassbender or Hiddleston and Olsen ended up getting more serious, their respectivly insane fanbase wil have the same reaction. Fassbender’s fan on tumblr are crazy to another level.

Edit. I’m might be being too forward with Hiddleston.

  29. Dlo says:

Love her name! Love him! Wish them the very best!

  30. Spiderpig says:

Apropos of nothing, I had a huge crush/fangirled on a minor TV actor who is not super famous and very private. No one knows whether he’s married, single, gay, straight, whatever.

Then in the weirdest of coincidences I found out that my new colleague is actually his wife. We became good friends before I found out her husband didn’t just have the same name as my fan-subject, but was him. Awkward! For about a day. Then cool.

The minute I met him I realized the entire mental world I’d built around him was fiction and just a product of my imagination. He’s not objectively that different to how I thought he was, he’s pretty much the same as he comes across in interviews. But everything you think about celebs you idolize is inherently not real because it’s all fantasy.

Now he’s someone I consider a casual friend, and there’s zero relationship or correlation between our actual friendship, and the fantasy relationship I had with the fantasy version I had in my head of him from seeing him on TV and in interviews. They feel like two completely different people. I bet these stans would feel very different if they ever actually got to know the strangers they love or hate on.

    • Kitten says:

      That’s a funny/cute story and I think that you’re spot-on with your comment about fantasy > reality.

  31. Gigi says:

People are insane! Like they ever stand a chance in hell of even meeting the object of their insanity, much less being personally involved with them. They are a beautiful couple and it is no one’s business who stars choose to be involved with!

  32. lile says:

Hunnum is a bona fide HUNK!!!! Although I fail to understand why people call the haters “superfans”. With “fans” like that, who needs maniacal stalkers????? Charlie and Morgana (COOL NAME!) make an adorable couple and kudos to Hunnum for NOT going all Hollywood and immediately trying to hook up with the current “IT” girl!

  33. vespernite says:

Please don’t insult Piper Perabo by comparing this Morgana to her. There is no comparison.

  34. knower says:

When you have time to do all this stuff (hate mail et al)…it means you have no real life. His fans that do that need to take a good hard look at what they have disintegrated into (someone who doesn’t live).

  35. Debutante says:

LOOKS Like Piper Perabo ????? Ah, No.

not in the least. I won’t say who she looks like. Don’t want to hurt C. H. ‘s feelings .

  36. Nori says:

I don’t find him hot either but he seems a really kind person. I’ve never seen SOA but he has this sweet presence in films like Pacific Rim and Crimson Peak. I think these two bonded partly because of their families with serious criminal histories. CH’s dad was a major gangster in the north of UK while MM’s mum’s still in jail and her aunt is cousin Leighton Meester’s infamous mother.

  37. Dana says:

Yeah the hate she got was uncalled for and ugly. Actually the whole attacking the gf thing is so tacky. From Benedict fans declaring his baby is fake to Robsten fans stalking and racial hating on Twigs to Charlie needing a video to tell his fans to back off. How despicable to these fans get. Its awful.

  38. Joanie says:

I’ve never been a fan of his, but I’m totally Team Hunnam after reading that letter to his fans. The way he describes Morgana…he truly loves and respects her. I hope he gets his wish and is able to spend the rest of his life with her.

  39. Dangles says:

Much maligned? Say no more. I’m compelled to like her.

  40. Tina Lou says:

As predicted further up I’m here. Alerts are a great tool when running a fan sites in my spare time. It’s how we get information out there. Just because a few classless individuals from lipstick alley think I’m following them, doesn’t mean i am. I mean seriously, those “ladies” shouldn’t flatter themselves so much.

This has to be the best thread of comments I’ve read in months. Some points made by one or two people, couldn’t be further from the truth.

Anyways thanks for a great read, (I’ve never been called a stan before lol) , a big THANK YOU to all those that see the “ladies of social media aka LSA” for what they are. This day has been it seems a long time coming. God bless you!!!
