Taylor Swift seen for the first time since the receipts were dropped a week ago

FFN_Swift_Taylor_GWIN_072216_52130276

Finally! Taylor Swift finally stepped out in public on Friday. This was the first time Taylor had been seen publicly since Kim Kardashian dropped the receipts late Sunday night, a week ago today. Taylor had been in Gold Coast, Australia for a few weeks, on vacation while Tom Hiddleston worked on Thor: Ragnarok. But since Tom was due at Comic-Con this weekend, Taylor flew back to California with him. They apparently flew on a private plane, which means no pesky LAX pap stroll, the equalizer for celebrities as paparazzi scream questions at you as you try to manage your luggage and the camera flashes and everything else.

Tiddles arrived in LA late Thursday evening. They slept in, presumably at Taylor’s luxurious home, then on Friday, they went to the gym… separately. Tom went to the Fitness Factory in West Hollywood, wearing the same tired old workout ensemble. According to E! News, he had a personal training session with one of the gym’s trainers. Taylor apparently went to the same gym, although I don’t see that confirmed anywhere? I think it would make sense, since the locale of these pap photos looks the same. Quick question though: why is Taylor’s iPhone screen cracked? Hmmm….

Of course, someone did get some shots of Taylor and Tom walking together on Thursday evening, upon their arrival back in LA. Thank God. So we know that they are still together, absolutely. They flew in together, they went to the same gym (separately) and they walked together briefly. TIDDLES IS STILL HAPPENING.

Of course, I still have questions. Will Taylor stay in LA when Tom returns to Australia? Did Taylor fly back to California with Tom because she truly has stuff to do in LA, or because the Tiddles Love Is So Real that they can’t even be apart for a few days? Or is she afraid that if she does let Tom out of her sight, he’ll bolt? Hm. Also: it doesn’t look like Taylor went to Comic-Con in San Diego with Tom. He was in San Diego throughout the day on Saturday, and there were no sightings of Taylor. Of course, she could have been dressed up as Wookie or Darth Maul or something. But she was seen Saturday morning in LA, headed back to the gym. She didn’t go to San Diego.

Why is Taylor Swift’s phone screen cracked?

    One too many snake emoji’s 🐍 😏?

    • Little Darling says:

I was waiting to see the imprint of the phone on her bodyguards face! Or it’s deeply embedded into some wall.

      • ygsf says:

domestic violence jokes are always in bad taste. especially after the whole amber heard/johnny depp scandal with the iphone bruise.

      • LadyLoo says:

Little Darling, I’ll eye-roll ygsf for you, as what you said was in NO way a ‘domestic violence joke.’

        Eye roll.

      • ygsf says:

And when you come running to defend someone’s inappropriate and offensive joke about violence, it’s time to do some serious self-reflection:) Especially these days. Peace, out.

      • Little Darling says:

@Ygsf you might be too sensitive to these comments because as I’m sure you can tell the punchline to Kaisers questioning is a wink and a nod to Taylor throwing her phone in a hissy fit, or in my case the “joke” was more that the Bodyguard was subject to a mean ricochet. If that was lost on you, I’m so sorry.

DV is very serious indeed. My joke is not. (:

      • Jess says:

@Little Darling “a mean ricochet”. Ok there, nice back peddling.

It’s pretty obvious that the “punchline” to your distasteful joke was you insinuating that she smashed the phone onto her bodyguards face. Guess DV jokes are totally fine and excusable when it’s about someone we dislike. If that point was lost on you, I’m so sorry.

Maybe just apologize and try to use a bit more tact when making “jokes” next time.

      • Little Darling says:

Okay @Jess, choose to see it how you see it. I hope to see you policing every comment about what happened to her phone and that you also ask Kaiser what her implication was in the post. And if you care that much about DV, I hope you put your money where your mouth is and volunteer time and money to those women and men in need, and not just come down hard on one commenter on a Taylor Swift thread on a website called Celebitchy.

My joke was a joke was a joke was a joke about a Taylor Tantrum. I will not apologize for people not having a sense of humor about a random comment about a smashed phone, clearly done in jest. Nor will I apologize for the interpretation of my comment. I comment a lot here, I’m fairly certain those who know my comments know I’m not an advocate for DV, or violence,
and it’s just silly to be called out on this. But if it makes you feel better, I understand that as well. I truly hope you haven’t personally been a part of DV, As it certainly Is no laughing matter. However, this isn’t a thread about DV, and to make it into one is crazy.

Now, note that I said bodyguard and not Tom. The one who is paid to protect her from others. Not the one she is having a relationship with.

The image of a bodyguard getting in the way of a hissy fitting Taylor, that’s funny to me.

      • Trixie says:

“The image of a bodyguard getting in the way of a hissy fitting Taylor, that’s funny to me.”

You think physical violence is funny?

        Not cool, dude. Not cool.

      • enough already says:

It was a joke. Not a great one, but a joke. The morality police’s need to enforce unwritten language codes is tedious. I can’t wait until the pendulum swings back and the well intentioned SJW can unclench and instead of scolding simply ignore. It’s the cyber equivalent of not laughing and just as effective.

      • honeybee blues says:

Little Darling, I too had that thought, and those here equating a large bodyguard getting in the way of a flying phone with DV are truly lost and not helping the situation. Humorless to a dangerous degree. They need to wade in shallower waters. Clearly the pool is a bit too deep here on this site for such childish and knee-jerk reactions to a comical image. DV is serious; a joke about a bodyguard having to dodge flying objects from a pissed off, overindulged princess is funny. Full stop.

      • Little Darling says:

@honeybee Thank you! I was truly beginning to feel like I entered another reality with the comments about my comment. I’ve never seen this kind of display on CB and it kind of made me a little sad.

      • senna says:

@ Little Darling ok so let’s see if I’ve got this straight: it’s a hilarious joke if a big strong man is being hit by a delicate blonde woman?

It’s a hilarious joke if a male employee is being violently struck by their female employer?

it’s a hilarious joke because you said so, and people who disagree need to shut up and laugh along with you while helping the “real” victims of domestic violence which your hilarious comments in no way denigrate?

I think my hilarity compass has been broken by being smashed against “but we don’t need feminism” sentiments repeatedly, despite comments like yours showing how much people lean on these tired old gender essentialist tropes in the name of “humor.” Because women can’t really hurt men, because they aren’t REALLY equals, right?

      • TreadStyle says:

@LittleDarling always people out there ready to dissect every single comment. I actually watched someone hit by a flying phone of someone pitching a tantrum. After he swore, we were all laughing, even him. I suppose it’s Taylor swift fans and people always looking for an argument. Sheesh it’s exhausting.

    • Little Darling says:

@trixie Noo, nowhere am I saying this is physical abuse. I didn’t claim she hit him in anger or a fight. I theorized what happened to her phone was that she had a hissy fit and threw the phone in anger, and her bodyguard tried vigilantly to stop her meltdown, and in the process got hit with her phone. Or he was trying to wrangle it out of her hand while she screamed, My 2.7 million followersi!!! And pressed it up against his face in anger, refusing to let it go.

These comments are getting sillier and sillier to defend. Go down thread and chastise those who said she threw it AT TOM. (:

      • Trixie says:

“And pressed it up against his face in anger, refusing to let it go.”

You don’t think that’s physical violence?

      • Little Darling says:

        @trixie No, I don’t.

It’s a make believe answer that I gave in a comment based on the question asked, “hmmm what happened to her phone?” In my imaginary mind Taylor threw an epic fit. That’s the beginning and end of my comment.

For ANYONE to assume I was talking about Amber and Johnny is way off base. I simply wasn’t thinking of them and their tragedy, I was thinking about Taylor having an epic fit, as many commenters on this thread and others said as well. I’m not going to apologize for a reference I didn’t make, or imply.

I’m sorry that happened to Amber, I hope she is okay.

      • Trixie says:

I’m not talking about Amber and Johnny at all, and I don’t know why you’re even bringing them up.

I’m talking about throwing a phone at someone and hitting them in the face with it is and should be considered physical violence – no matter who is involved. I *absolutely* think throwing objects at someone and hitting them is physical violence. It does not matter what the object is, and it does not matter who is doing the throwing and who it is being thrown at.

Throwing objects at other people IS physical violence.

It makes me sad that there are people in this world who think otherwise. I guess that’s why so much violence happens, because people don’t even think they are being physically violent toward others.

      • LadyLoo says:

Ignore them, Little Darling. Any sensible person knows you were not making a joke about domestic violence. They are being both too sensitive and SJW/keyboard warriors.

Good thing you didn’t say she threw it at her cats, they’d be calling Peta.

      • Little Darling says:

@ladyloo I’ve been on this site *forever* and I’ve honestly never seen this type of thing, over an imaginary scenario. Just really odd. Thanks for chiming in, loving your comments too!! <3

      • honeybee blues says:

Trixie, there are a lot of very real problems in this world. Please take your outrage to a news site. Trust me, there are plenty of stories of actual violence that really could use your insight. However, you’re way out of line here. Little Darling made a harmless joke that you have attempted to render harmful. It wasn’t, so you can’t. This is not your hill on which to die.

    • pikawho? says:

She probably threw her phone at Tom’s massive forehead when she saw that her paparazzi sequel to Roman Holiday/Notting Hill was not burying the Kanye story.

  2. Jane says:

Is she listening to Kanye? or her ex?

  3. Mira says:

why is Taylor’s iPhone screen cracked? Hmmm….

    Hahaha!

    • daisie-b says:

She uses an old phone with a cracked screen for writing songs.

      • Mia V. says:

All the songs from her next album will start with a K, including “Klassless”, “Kiss From The Space”, “Kouldn’t Kare Less”, “Keeping Up With Revenge (Wait Your Turn)”, “KKK” and more.

    • CTgirl says:

Well since snakes don’t have arms we know she didn’t throw it. Maybe she curled up on it looking for warmth and cracked it?

    • fruitloops says:

Iphone screens crack for no reason, happened to two work colleagues of mine from the same office, their phones were literally just lying on the desk and the screens cracked. I don’t know about TS’s phone, but that’s what I know about Iphones.

      • PGrant's Girl says:

@Fruitloops I’ve had iPhones ever since the first generation was released eight or 10 years ago, and I’ve never had a screen crack. And I’m a serious butterfingers and drop my phones all the time. I get super heavy-duty cases for my phones, and those have cracked or chipped a couple times, but never the screens.

      • Veronica says:

I’ve had one or two stress fractures (even with a good case on, a drop on cement takes its toll) but never had it completely smash. This being said, I find it baffling that people go out and buy new phones instead of just dropping $15 on a repair kit and getting walked through a repair tutorial. I fixed my mother’s phone that way – it was tedious and required some decent motor control, but it’s doable.

  4. anna says:

good for her! maybe love is real. my usually terribly cynical self certainly hopes so because i’m really uncomfortable with the delight that people take in her fall from grace. if i hear one more person going “oh i knew it, i never liked her anyway” i will flood their instagram with kissy face and heart emojis till they block me. people act like she’s donald trump or something.

      • Gena says:

        Team Liar!

      • amilu says:

Uh, Team Liar describes all parties involved.

When Kim K. vehemently denies that she’s had plastic surgery that isn’t lying? And when Kanye West said he was $53m in debt when he wasn’t in order to get Mark Zuckerberg to “support” him, that wasn’t lying? Ok…

        Everyone lies. Especially celebrities…

      • Lynnie says:

@amilu How about you go with the tried and true Team No one then? All three of them are losers on a varying scale, and as others have said Taylor and Kim are two sides of the same coin.

    • Gena says:

Well I’m uncomfortable that she continuously tries to throw a black man under the bus to play her little victim narrative because only a handful of decades ago it would have resulted in his death but I guess we’ll both just have to keep being uncomfortable because I don’t see her stopping playing the victim anytime soon, huh?

She’s getting what she deserves. Finally. Stop babying her, she’s almost 30 an a total and complete snake and vacuum of talent.

      • Alex says:

THIS. People act like she didn’t have a hand in the tide turning against her. I can comfortably say I never liked her and 1989 was the first album I liked from start to finish.

Like others have said stop babying her and making excuses for the crap she does. It isn’t like people don’t like her for valid reasons all her crappy behavior is biting her in the ass

      • Bess says:

Kanye has behaved like an unhinged mess in public and during his infamous Twitter rants. Let’s not pretend that Kanye hasn’t contributed to his public reputation.

      • Nancy says:

Gena: Agree. I started feeling bad for her last week when it wouldn’t stop, but you’re right. She is the perennial, continual, victim of her own crimes. I almost fell for it. So she has to squirm a little bit, like the posters upthread show, she will always have the sympathy vote. @Bess: Kanye and Kim can never be wrong in their minds either. But when Kim got busted for her sex tape, it landed her a career. Go figure…

      • LadyLoo says:

Agreed, Gina. On the snake and talent vacuum comments.

      • OhDear says:

Agreed. I read a comment somewhere where the person said that the leaked call only confirms what a lot of people were already thinking about her, and that sounds about right.

      • k says:

@Bess- Kayne isn’t the issue for me. He is fine, he his rich and has security and no one will touch him.

The issue I have with her horrible disgusting vile rhetoric is what it leads to. These comments continue the false and dangerous story of the helpless white women that are preyed on by big scary black men; which is was made up after the end of slavery and not true. This rhetoric leads to a 12 year old playing in the park getting shot by police within 2 seconds, it leads the clan to torturing and murdering a black man who looks at a white women, it leads to the continued systematic racism that lives in our society. Taylor has a big voice, and I personally believe she has zero obligation to speak on any political issue but she does have an obligation to understand her voice and the ramification of her comments and her voice. And what she is saying and these comments create huge issues. It isn’t about Kayne/Kim or even Taylor because they are all vile and disgusting people! But her big scary black man stalking and attacking the poor innocent lily white flower has serious ramifications for society.

It also makes me as a white blond woman look bad but that doesn’t have a lot of real ramifications so whatever on that.

      • Trixie says:

If the exact same situation were playing out, but Kanye were white, would you still have a problem with how Taylor is acting? Would Taylor still be “getting what she deserves”?

    • Pinky says:

oh i knew it, i never liked her anyway.

      –TheRealPinky

    • pk says:

Nobody will ever convince me that Taylor is more despicable than Kim and Kanye.

      • amilu says:

        Me neither.

      • Shambles says:

Okay, but literally no one is trying to convince you that Taylor is more despicable than Kim and Kanye. That’s what I don’t understand about this whole mess. When has anyone ever said that this about which one is worse than the other? Almost immediately, it had to be a Taylor vs. Kimye thing, like Taylor being a liar is somehow invalidated because Kim and Kanye are shady people. We already knew they were shady. No one has ever once tried to assert that they’re not shady. People just love to hate them no matter what, so they automatically brought the conversation back to how much they hate Kim and Kanye. Okay, that’s fine, but that’s not the point. You can still hate Kim and Kanye and accept the information that’s come to light, confirming that TS is a manipulative liar.

      • Katie says:

@shambles… You can turn it that around also. That even before this thing happened with Kimye that everyone loved to hate Taylor as well. They’ve been waiting for her “come uppenance” for quite awhile!

      • TreadStyle says:

        @SHAMBLES very well put! Agreed!

    • CFY says:

+1. Especially because she is a rich blonde millionaire. She will be fine, it seems a bit pointless to revel in her “fall” because celebrities like her will always bounce back.

    • OSTONE says:

      +7

  5. akua says:

Yes, show your face snake, I still like her.

  6. NewWester says:

A commenter on another site had posted that when crap hit the fan ” Taylor was probably in a hotel room screaming into her iPhone at her pr people to fix this mess. She then threw her phone across the room and Tom was cowering in a corner”
I laughed when I read that and no one really knows how Taylor reacted. But seeing the cracked screen I have to wonder….

  7. Alex says:

I mean did we think Tiddles was going to be over this soon? Even if tom is planning an exit strategy he wouldn’t do it on the weekend of big promotion. I see them getting engaged to change the narrative (TAYLOR FINDS HER PRINCE CHARMING blah blah) OR Tom found his exit strategy and is waiting to push the red button. I don’t see this lasting past the summer but we shall see.

Cracked iPhone from when she threw a hissy fit that every publication has roasted her good. It doesn’t fit into her narrative lol

  8. Christin says:

Has he copied her posture, or are both posture challenged?

  9. teacakes says:

She has to know the sight of that screen means most people are going to be tipped off to the likely cause of the crack being a Taylor Tantrum, right? Wonder why she had it out/didn’t replace it, she’s rich and Australia has Apple stores.

Now I wonder if she broke it before or after posting that Instagram about Kimye recording. I’m DYING @the thought of before – I mean, imagine her hurling her phone and then having to use the cracked phone to type out that last victim-y hissy fit? lol.

  10. kri says:

One of the sites had a piece on this a few days ago-it may have been Lainey or maybe here. There was a quote about Taylor being “brought down” by Kim K, and how she was so low you couldn’t reveal anything about her (KK) that she hasn’t told us already. There is alot of truth to that. And yes, Taylor is fake, controlling and image crazy. But aren’t they all. And who ever really fell for the the “perfect Princess” thing except Taylor herself, and some young girls? SO the big reveal is that she’s bitchy?? And wants to appear a certain way? Wow. Yes, she lied about Kanye. Yes, that was low for her to use him like that. But not even for one second would I consider KIM KARDASHIAN, that THING made of plastic, mama’s ambitions, and moldy brain cells, to be anything near Taylor’s level. So maybe this will damage Tay Tay a bit, but she can rest easy at night with the thought that at least she didn’t get famous by being peed on and having her mother sell the video of it.

    • Cara says:

Yeah, what a compliment- “Kim’s so far in the gutter you can’t hurt her rep!” 😛

    • original kay says:

      **laughs**

      right on 🙂

    • OrigialTessa says:

Kanye is on her level though, and she did Kanye wrong, really wrong. That’s what Kim wanted us to know, because Kanye had fallen so far, (IMO a lot of that had to do with Taylor and her boo-hooing poor me over the years) that he wasn’t even really in a place to defend himself anymore. Taylor has no sense of humor about herself. She can’t be part of other people’s music or art unless she’a controlling it herself. She was never going to let Calvin keep the song. She was never going to let Kanye parody her without getting the last word. She can’t help herself. She isn’t a nice or cool person. She’s a control freak who will bury anyone that dares cross her.

      • kri says:

@OriginalTess-all true. It almost made me feel bad for Kanye cause he apparently at least tried to be legit. But he married Kim and I honestly think that has contributed way more to his problems. The Kardashians go after famous black men, use them for notoriety and toss them. They are gross users. Yes, Swifty is a control freak, and I never thought she was nice either. And it was hilarious to me in the first place that she got busted Regina George-ing someone for all to see. But I must say, she will never be as low as any Kardashian.

      • Wren says:

Oh please, Kanye’s worst enemy is Kanye himself. He’s the one who rants and rambles, throws hissy fits if people aren’t properly impressed by his myriad crazy ideas, and thinks he’s an untouchable genius. All his ideas are brilliant, and anything that comes into his head should come out his mouth and be instantly revered. If Taylor is part of the problem he made her so by continuing to bring it up after all these years. He doesn’t have to respond to her boo holing but he if Taylor can’t let it go than neither can he.

Everything else I agree with, but not that Taylor has somehow “ruined” him or his career. He’s done that himself, though he doesn’t really seem to be all that ruined.

      • pk says:

I agree kri. Kim is a white woman using a black man for her own gain. Where is the outrage? Like anyone thinks she really loves Kanye? She didn’t release the recording for Kanye, she did it for herself, her show, and ratings.

      • someone says:

The Kanye song where he references Taylor isn’t good music. He’s not being shunned from the radio because of what Taylor said about him – the song isn’t being played because it sucks. People who think that Taylor somehow ruined Kanye are giving Taylor WAYYYY too much credit.

    • zinjojo says:

I think in the juicy excitement of Kim dropping the receipts on Taylor that people forget this is all business for all of them. It may play out like high school drama, but big bucks and big egos are involved all the way around.

Kim managed to refocus attention on Kanye’s single “Famous” which is not a hit, nor is Life of Pablo, and she has projects she’s promoting too, her show, app, and social media. Taylor is trying her hardest (and has failed spectacularly) to protect her brand. So for all of the drama, these are all multi-millionaires seeking to increase/protect their wealth and celebrity. And while it’s fun gossip, the media loves it too since it generates lots of clicks and views.

      • Naya says:

The Life of Pablo hit number 1on the Billboard chart despite the physical copies only being available from his personal website and over 500,000 illegal downloads. Tidal subscriptions increased by 1 million in 3 days. Metacritic gave it a critics aggregate score of 75%. Its only a flop in some butt hurt Swiftyloon universe. It may not have performed as great as his previous records but it will still be among the best performing rap records of 2016.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

“Yes, she lied about Kanye. Yes, that was low for her to use him like that. But not even for one second would I consider KIM KARDASHIAN, that THING made of plastic, mama’s ambitions, and moldy brain cells, to be anything near Taylor’s level.”

      Uh why?

Yeah Kim got peed on, because she wanted fame and knew how to get it.

Taylor’s parents are rich. They were able to buy their daughter’s career right down to moving the family to Nashville, buying a record label and creating an elaborate background about her being a poor nerdy girl who was bullied and only had her guitar as a friend. That’s ambition in the flesh with a country twang.

Saying “Well yeah Taylor lied but she didn’t do something I consider sexually shameful so she’s better!” isn’t something to credit her with or even a compliment.

She lied. Period. She used the way people such as yourself think of her ‘better than the girl who got peed on and her husband’ as a weapon to ensure that even when Kanye DID the right thing, even when he tried to ensure she knew his intentions and that they were on good terms, HE got punished and no matter how many times he tried to defend himself people, myself included, refused to believe him.

So yeah, she lied and lucky she never got peed on and her plastic surgery is subtle enough to earn forgiveness and not be considered a ‘thing’.

      • original kay says:

omg Eternal. you are making me laugh so hard with your defense of Kanye and Kim.

thanks, it’s a boring rainy sunday here and you are making me have some much needed giggles with how far you are taking this. 🙂

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

So you seriously don’t think something’s wrong with saying someone lying is okay if society or the public respects them more?

Or that referring to a person as a thing is cool so long as their plastic surgery is more obvious and their ambition without question?

I’m honestly not sure why that’s funny kay, but please do elaborate, because honestly…I’m sure kri misspoke but you giggling about it is pretty sad.

      • maria 2 says:

That’s funny Original kay, I can’t stop laughing, mixed with rolling my eyes, at you and the other “swifty is an innocent little white princess who can do no wrong, sure she lies and manipulates BUT LOOK AT KANYE AND KIM THEY ARE TACKY LOW LIVES HOW DARE THEY NOT BOW DOWN TO TAYLOR!”

        each to their own

      • Fiorella says:

Because societal norms matter. Sure she at least was disingenuous and elusive if not dishonest. In a capitalist society the one we have now most who are successful probably do. We know men do.
People still prefer her to Kim for the reasons you said. Do you wish those things weren’t valued or Norms? I wish better for the society my kids will grow up in. Trying to resist the weird plastic surgery/ fake hair/ fake lashes/ bratz lips on everyone getting pissed on to be relevant schtick she (Kim) has .and can Kanye leave ts alone? It is an option to walk away and leave her alone. I don’t think she’s been provoking him.. Would love the whole video. Convenient snap chat excuse

Original Kay, now that the flood gates are open, there will be more. More of TS’s lying, low down, manipulative and conniving ways will be exposed – and we all know they are out there. So get your giggles in while you can because you won’t find anything about TayTay so amusing in a few months time.

      • Naya says:

This is every high school movie brought to life. Cheerleader valedictorian type gets to sh*t on anyone who defies social expectations. The school “slut” always gets the worst of her bullying. Iirc those movies usually end with the high table blonde bitch getting exposed in a hilarious and humiliating scene and her click distancing themselves from the fallout. Sound familiar?

Dont worry, the high table snake will still sell her bland whinny music. And a little international humiliation may mature her a bit, god knows she needs it.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Society has always rewarded the shallow and beautiful. Norma Jean Baker didn’t become so successful because her singing was just so good. A lot of plastic surgery, a lot more makeup, and some sleeping around and she became an icon still talked about till today. Kim didn’t usher in a new way for the world to think and become successful, she used what was already there.

If you want your kids to value the intellectual then raise them to do so. The problem with relying on societal norms to do the work is that it basically says, “Appearances matter more than actions”

“It’s cool if you lie kids just so long as you are successful. It’s cool girls because men do it. It’s okay to have a schtick so long as your shtick reinforces girls being good and virginal, even if they have to lie and hurt others to maintain it.”

What societal norms did you think we had when we got Kim Kardashian and Marilyn Monroe? The exact same ones.

      • Annetommy says:

Taylor’s parents are rich? I don’t think Robert Karsdashian and Bruce Jenner were short of a few quid either, Kim’s taped exploits weren’t some way of getting her out of the projects. Frankly I am not a big fan of either woman, but Taylor has talent beyond being a self publicist. And Marilyn Monroe was a fine actress and particularly good comedienne btw. The bombshells that weren’t talented are largely forgotten. When Kim does something a tenth as good as Some Like It Hot I might buy a Monroe comparison.

      • Katie says:

We haven’t heard that whole recording yet. I’m curious as to what was left out.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

        @Anne

Nope, like I said pretty clearly they were about getting fame. She did the tape and she got it. Taylor Swift’s parents bought her a record label and she got it as well.

“Taylor has talent beyond being a self publicist”

When people say Taylor has talent it’s hard for me to figure out how they’re measuring that. Most legitimate critical evaluations of Taylor’s work rate her as mediocre to poor. Her lyrics sophomoric. Her vocals average. Her guitar skills elementary. The only measure of Taylor’s success is literally her success. How much of that changes if you swap out the blond hair, money, and connections I don’t know. But I do know if we’re counting fans or millions she and Kim go toe to toe.

Marilyn didn’t get to ‘Some Like It Hot’ by walking onto the audition floor with mousy brown hair, glasses, and the name Norma Jean. One hair dye, nose job, buxom flirty transformation and she got to ‘Some Like It Hot’. I won’t argue she had some talent but that’s not why we remember her if we’re being honest.

    • freebunny says:

I see the slut shaming is still strong.
I don’t like Kim, but it’s low to bring back the sex tape cause Blond Thin Princess Taylor gets, for once, a slap on the hand.

      • Bettyrose says:

Freebunny, ITA! Kim is an idiot whose entire job is to glorify empty, superficial values, but the sex tape isn’t fair game in criticising her. It was a lifetime ago in media cycles, and while I couldn’t care less what her sexual proclivities are, it’s evidence of how exploited Kk has been by her own mother, which is heartbreaking if you let yourself think about it. But it’s irrelevant because she’s famous on a whole other level now, unrelated to that tape.

      • mee says:

The sex tape may be trashy but it’s just that – trashy and embarrassing that this is the way that they chose to become famous. The lies and manipulation by TS speak to more sinister behavior. At best, it’s reflective of someone who will prop herself up without regard for collateral damage to others, but at worst, it’s conduct of a narcissistic control-freak who will throw others under the bus at the slightest provocation.

The other thing I find revealing about these pics is that they somehow didn’t show TH’s full face when walking about in L.A but in every other location there were full pap shots. It seems that maybe they do have some control over how the pap shoot them – could it really be that there is only one angle or place that the pap can position themselves for the shots in L.A.?

      • Little Darling says:

Also, as an aside, while most of us find peeing gross during sex, there is definitely a slice of people who enjoy such sex play, so I don’t think that is truly the issue either. What floats my sexual boat might not others and so on. Kim is gross for so many reasons, but I’m not going to knock her for what she did with her lover in the bedroom, regardless of if she had a hand in distributing it or not.

      • A. Key says:

Degrading women for their sexuality is still a thing yes.

Thus, Taylor >> Kim to some people, because Taylor does it with the cameras off and she doesn’t flaunt her sexuality the way Kim does. Which means Taylor is *of course* a better person because she’s projecting the innocent naive virgin shtick (even after her umpteenth relationship) and that means she has “morals”.

Because when it comes to women, morals are all about your sexuality or the lack of it. Lying, cheating, hating, backstabbing, all irrelevant if you’re a chaste demure classy girl on the outside……

      • Jena says:

You might not like Kim, but to dismiss her as a business woman is foolish. There is a difference between merchandising an building a business. People cannot handle the truth. Her sisters and her began with a family franchise of clothing stores and now she is on the cover of Forbes for her business success. Don’t undercut the work that goes into doing it. Taylor has partnered with Max Martin, the hit maker, Kim has partnered with Glu…for mobile gaming. I don’t fault either

    • jeanpierre says:

You may not like her as You are entitled to. But Kim Kardashian is not a thing. She is a person. Talent-wise her and TS are the same. They both created empires out of nepotism, PR stunts and media manipulation.

      • Bettyrose says:

X1000000!!! The main difference between KK and Swift are the images they’ve cultivated. Neither one rose to stardom with nothing but a dream and a plucky spirit.

      • Luca76 says:

Kim And Taylor aren’t the same. Taylor’s success maybe the result of nepotism but at the end of the day she does write her own music.. She creates her own content. She tours. Kim has a much more limited shelf life and revenue stream (ratings for KUWTK are steadily going down I’m not saying she’s going away completely but I do think she’s peaked).. Even Calvin Harris admitted Swift wrote the lyrics AND the music for his god awful song she’s got a talent for writing songs that will stick in your head and are catchy even if they aren’t very good. Kanye is the genuine talent for sure but he’s so delusional and out there he’s lost his street cried as a rapper and isn’t taken seriously anymore.

      • jeanpierre says:

Well, Kim creates her own content as well. She certainly got a talent to get the public hooked. Taylor is a can’t sing-vocalist who writes catchy bad songs. Kim is a can’t act-actress in a catchy bad show. I still don’t see the big difference.

      • Luca76 says:

Kim hasn’t created her own content. She’s branded herself and gotten sponsorship and licensed her name. But her value is in her brand alone. She’s soley dependent on ratings, and controversy.

    • Little Darling says:

@kri I think it goes way beyond being “bitchy” though: I think Taylor is out and out nasty to her colleagues and contemporaries. The fact that many, many celebrities have supported this, without really “saying” it speaks volumes. I think the reason Kim K was able to execute this so well was because she simply didn’t care (anymore) about what the big ole mighty Taymerica could do to her image, because her image is EXACTLY the one who would do anything for fame, her show, ratings and now, her husband.

Sure, we cared and listened when it was Katy, Calvin, Nicki, but it was far less impactful because the incidents were singular ones that just played out in the media. The Kanye and Taylor drama ebbed and flowed for years without real juicy gossip that had much bite beyond the initial mic incident. Finally, after years of much ado about nothing, this “gossip” delivered a deep well of conversations and think pieces about hypocrisy, image manipulation, public perception, feminism, racism, misogynistic, self awareness and damage control.

What Taylor did wasn’t just bitchy. It wasn’t innocent. It wasn’t innocuous. It was calculated, dishonest not only to her fans but to Kanye and his fans, dishonest to all of the world with her Kanye speech at the Grammy’s.

Bitchy is writing a thinly veiled song about your ex that everyone will be able to guess. Diabolically annihilating someone- a music colleague- in public, one who absolutely, 100% tried to do right by you, is more than a tiny lie or fib.

      • Luca76 says:

I think Taylor probably is a Regina George type. But I also think they are all immature tacky catty babies stuck in a high school clique mentality . I’m sure actual A-Listers (Rihanna, Beyoncé, etc) aren’t commenting on it because they want no part of it. I also think true A listers like Bey and Jay are horrified by the thought that they may be recorded and blasted by Kanye’s (in their eyes) Dlist wife.

      • Blech says:

Actually the more I think about this the more I tend to agree with @Little Darling above. Let me make myself clear – I’m firmly Team No one. But my take is – what Kanye did to Taylor all those years ago was inconsiderate and disrespectful. But what she did to him – well… to me it seems there was ill intent behind it.

Her brand as it was is not sustainable anymore. So if she really wants to change the “narrative” – apologize. Publicly. And sincerely. It was wrong of me to lie, it was petty and mean and I’m sorry. Let’s not forget Kanye ate sh*t for YEARS, why should we hold her to a different standard?

You f*ck up, the best you can do is to apologize and hope the person you hurt will forgive you. Then again it’s a life lesson most of us learn long before we turn 26.

      • OhDear says:

@Little Darling – Exactly! Most people would be livid if someone pulled a stunt like that on them at their jobs. Look, at best Kanye has a lot of issues, and Kim K. is not my thing. But I don’t get why Kanye (and Kim) has to be completely perfect for people to understand what Taylor did was nasty and wrong.

I find this whole thing to be fascinating on a sociological/cultural level. It reveals a lot on how people think on those issues you mentioned.

@Luca76 – My understanding is that most recording artists record all aspects of making an album, so Beyonce and Jay Z probably (1) know that they’ll be recorded and (2) record their own calls and other aspects of making an album, etc. already themselves.

      • WatchingATrainwreak says:

@ Little Darling Thank you for staying on topic with your comments! Your last two paragraphs are a great summary of this specific situation. You have stayed focused on the main issue and your comment(s) continue to be relevant to the initial topic without deviating into personal attacks of the parties involved (judgement of someone’s actions is not a personal attack).

      • K.C. says:

“Diabolical” is exactly right—but only if she knew about the song in full, including the context of it—and told him it was great and funny, only to turn around and smear him in front of all their peers at the Grammys. That kind of makes me shiver, because it goes beyond Mean Girl. It’s cruel.

But there’s another way of looking at it, too: Maybe he told her he was writing a parody-like song that included a line about her that was meant to be funny and he was doing it in jest, as a friend. And then he turned around and make it something a bit more serious and vulgar, and she felt played. I don’t think it would’ve been an issue had he not called her about it at all—but the fact that he DID, and made it seem like a friendly gesture, only to rap about how she owes him sex for her fame? Meh.

Hitting back at him in such a grand and public way is immature and ridiculous no matter what the case was. But I don’t think it’s completely out of the question that he maybe did something underhanded to her, and she reacted in a bitchy fashion. She should’ve been honest about WHY she reacted the way she did, and that doesn’t change no matter what went down. But still. I don’t think “Kanye was super friendly and Taylor threw him under the bus” is the only possible scenario here.

      • Little Darling says:

@KC Well, if you look at the facts of the video tape, you see that he is going through great pains to make sure that she is cool with the lyrics, cool with being mentioned, cool with him saying they had sex, he says multiple times that her friendship means more than a pun. I mean, are any of us doubting that? No, right? Then she says multiple times that was really nice of him, that he didn’t have to do that, she thought it was funny and said do what you want creatively, and makes a point to say “even if you didn’t know I sold 7 million copies of that record, your truth was that I wasnt famous (paraphrasing)” She knew the context, and still said Speak your truth. So he did.

Her immediate response was a 180.
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

So right there is her first lie, which is pretty bold, via publicist.

So let’s say that theoretically she was a-okay with the having sex line and the famous line, but the Bitch comment was the one in question. Her statement didn’t indicate any of that. It didn’t even give mention to, While Mr. west called in earnest to ask permission, upon hearing the song Taylor feels it was still an unintentional dig.” Or WHATEVER.

So it does seem like the only possible scenario that makes sense, because all other scenarios would have led to a very different outcome.

She was misleading, intentionally, a bunch of times following the release of the song. Omitting the important piece of the story, that Kanye genuinely tried to give her a say, is basically sabotage, no matter which way you look at it.

      • GingerNYC says:

@ Little Darling “What Taylor did wasn’t just bitchy. It wasn’t innocent. It wasn’t innocuous. It was calculated, dishonest not only to her fans but to Kanye and his fans…”
Substitute “Khloe” and “Lamar” and you are describing the Kardashians times 10. And if Taylor has done it to one black man, the Kardashians have done it to at least 4 so far.

      • Naya says:

@GingerNYC Explain this line of reasoning to me. Because “its ok that I did a spiteful malicious thing to you because your wifes family may one day do it to you too” cannot possible be the Swifty defence.

      • K.C. says:

@LittleDarling I’m just wondering aloud if perhaps he portrayed the song as being something different than it ended up being, even if it was unintentional. I think he came off very nice in that recording and it was clear he was trying to be sensitive to their friendship. But he still could’ve made it sound like a different type of song than it actually was—they were talking in that recording about how it was practically a compliment and was just a joke, but the final product doesn’t read that way to me. Pair that with the fact that we hear their conversation in 10-second Snaps, and yeah, I’m definitely skeptical about what actually happened in the conversation, and I don’t think I’m unreasonable for questioning it. It was apparently an hour-long conversation, and we heard snippets of a couple minutes of it. That’s why I’m hesitant to really stick to one theory as absolute fact. In one regard it seems like Taylor could’ve out-and-out trashed him for personal gain, and I’m not disputing that’s a very real possibility, given her history.

And I’m not at all saying that excuses how she reacted—regardless of what occurred. It doesn’t. She dragged him over what could easily be chalked up to as a miscommunication, and she should’ve indicated that he WAS in fact at one point sensitive to her feelings, even if it ended up offending her anyway. She didn’t do any of that, and tried to make him look like he deserved 100% of the blame. What I am saying is that this situation has the potential to be something other than a calculated, evil attempt to take down Kanye.

      • Little Darling says:

@gingernyc Sure, give me a thread about them and I’ll most likely have something snarky to say.

But since this thread is about Taylor and what she did to a musical contemporary, I’m going to stick to that narrative here. Not talking about Khloe and Lamar, or the countless black men she’s done whatever to.

It’s that deflection of actions that makes me wonder. Taylor did something bad so let’s talk about just how bad KHLOE is instead.

Also, of note, I didn’t even mention that Taylor is taking down a black man who needs to just “leave her alone” but moreover she is constantly screwing over people in her “I’m
The victim” and she’s doing it publicly.

Remember when Nicki Minaj me that tweet about the VMAs and Taylor decided to take her on Twitter? Just another way she had no problem victimizing herself on a public forum and missing the point. If she was a good colleague she would have texted Nicki privately and asked if that was about her. But nope, not Tay.

So my commentary is specifically about Taylor’s actions in the industry, and how she uses feminism when it suits, how she goes against people only when it protects her best interest, and how she sorely, severely overplayed her hand with this Kanye mess.

      • Luca76 says:

I think there’s a difference in recording and documenting every aspect of your album and releasing tapes specifically to embarrass and ruin them. Now Taylor was in the wrong but that’s not my point. My point is that I think a whole bunch of top tier people will be even more reluctant to associate with Kim and Kanye because celebrities value privacy, discretion, and secrecy above all else.

      • Little Darling says:

@KC from what we know about Taylor, her silence says a lot. I think the would have made another statement or something to back up her claims. This is a woman who has no problem making statements about everything pertaining to her and her brand. If there was another side, wouldn’t we hear it?

Even if we didn’t hear all of the conversation, 1) she would have clarified by now, 2) her public statements moved around a bit about the purpose of the phone call and her reaction 3) what we heard is very different from what she said and unless there is a section of the call where she says DON’T DO IT, I don’t see what else could discredit what we did actually hear.

      • K.C. says:

@Luca76 You make a good point—and you know, I think if they’d “exposed” Taylor right after the Grammys with this recording, it would’ve gotten a MUCH more sympathetic reaction for Kanye and would’ve genuinely messed Taylor up. The fact that Kim held on to it for months to coincide with her latest KUWTK episode? Yeah, she definitely wasn’t doing it to stick up for her poor, hurt husband, or even to hit back at Taylor. She did it for ratings, pure and simple.

@LittleDarling I thought that’s exactly what Taylor’s little Instagram rant was about—clarifying that she wanted to trust in what Kanye told her about the song even though she didn’t actually hear it, and how she didn’t hear the part about being called a bitch and took offense to it. Again, I’m genuinely not trying to argue. I know her statements about how much she knew doubt the song have been very shifty and that regardless of what actually happened, her behavior at the Grammys was completely in the wrong. She portrayed their conversation as something different than it actually was.

I am interested to know if there’s something about misogyny in their conversation. Right after he reads her the line about sex, it cuts to another part of their conversation and we never hear the initial reaction to it. I’m curious to know if she initially didn’t like it and he convinced her it was just a joke or if this is another case of her using feminism when it benefits her.

      • OhDear says:

@Luca76 – I don’t get this logic at all. Kim and Kanye have every right to defend themselves; they’ve never released a recording of that sort until now. *Taylor* is the one who tried to “embarrass and ruin” Kanye by repeatedly lying. Releasing the tape was the only way people would believe them.

It’s similar to when Marina Abramovic accused Jay Z of not donating to her art institute in exchange for reprising one of her performance art pieces in one of his videos. Jay Z responded by literally showing a donation receipt.

I get that people like Taylor, and that’s fine. But she’s clearly in the wrong here – you acknowledge as such – but yet there’s so much hedging and “but Kanye and Kim”-ing – who cares?! Kanye and Kim being questionable people doesn’t take away from Taylor’s nastiness.

      • Little Darling says:

        @KC no arguing here (:

The way I see it, is that the rant was a save face rant that she wrote because she was aware after Kim’s interview that Kim had a live recording of it. The rant was to specify once again that she had a problem with the word bitch, which to me seems pretty valid.

But it’s lost there because I don’t think a lot of people get how that one word makes what he rapped about worse than the original sentiment of wanting to have sex with her? And her Grammy speech was more about the famous aspect. But it’s really him calling her a bitch? Okay, then just say so. Don’t pussyfoot around the truth.

BUT her statements reflect a different story at least three times. (Kaiser wrote up about this in another story)

The first, call was only to ask to put the song on twitter, not to approve lyrical and that Taylor gave him a cautionary warning. And Swiftys tune changes after that initial denial, she made it sound like there was no conversation that lasted an hour, only asking for the Twitter nod. So right there, she was very intentional about what Information she shared and omitted, and not very honest about the context. She could have been offended, said so, and also validated that Kanye did try to talk to her. She very intentionally didn’t do that.

But now her new story is that he didn’t tell her he was going to call her a “bitch.” She says he didn’t give her the full story on the phone. In the recording, she and Kanye discuss the line “I think me and Taylor might still have sex” and Him saying that he made Swift famous, but not the part where West calls her “that bitch.” So it could be “bitch” that triggered her, sure, but she still wasn’t honest about the conversation.

“While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ of a song you haven’t heard. Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”

See right there, again, very different than the phone call where she essentially gives him creative freedom to say what he sees fit.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

There’s a lot of good discussion that has happened and I agree with OhDear, there is something really fascinating here about the defense of Taylor.

Constantly bringing up how awful Kim, Kanye and their family is is bizarre. In all of the threads of this topic I can’t recall a single comment saying what a good and wholesome family they are. Many people have comfortably called them tacky and obscene while STILL acknowledging in this specific instance they were wronged.

We’re all comfortable judging and calling out the Kardashian for when they do things wrong and when they are manipulative and spiteful, which is exactly why we’re comfortable calling Taylor out for the exact same thing.

It doesn’t matter how good Taylor is or appears to be. It doesn’t matter how many men she has or hasn’t slept with or what happened to Kim on camera. She lied. Kim didn’t force her to. That recording would have been totally useless if Taylor had told the truth. If anything when Taylor was laughing about how she’d be confronted by the paps on the red carpet expecting her to be outaged she’d be able to say, “Guys I was in on it the whole time” Kim could have been expecting Taylor would love to have the recording for her own social media or promo.

    • Alicat1822 says:

Taylor has no sense of humor about herself AT ALL. She’s becoming progressively more insuffable as she gets older. If you’re bored today, check this out:

      http://www.grammy.com/videos/taylor-swift-1989-listening-session-part-1

I actually must admit to watching the entire thing.😬 It was painful! However, it is undeniable that Taylor is good at making ear worm hits. She’s very talented. Since I feel like being nice today, kayne’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is a work of art. It’s one of my favorites. And Kim seems like a very good wife and mother. Of course, she did have some previous experience handling the dirty side of diaper changing. She’s used to getting peed on.

    • HH says:

The narrative that Taylor “lied” is actually being generous. It’s one thing to lie and say you haven’t gotten plastic surgery (which BOTH Kim and Taylor are guilty of, go figure), but that’s harmless. What Taylor did was lie in an attempt to SCREW SOMEONE OVER. There’s no way to look at this incident and make Taylor come out in the right. For the people that do, you inadvertently prove what her ‘enemies’ have been saying about her: She plays the victim and is highly manipulative and controlling of her image. As in, she’s so good at it that you can’t even see the problem when EVIDENCE comes out of her scheming calculations.

      • LadyLoo says:

Yep. That Grammy speech was as much a nail in her coffin as her first statement about the song and the taped conversation.

      • Marissa says:

I am shocked by what I just found out: On Feb. 12, 2016 Ken Ehrlich , the producer of the Grammys, gave an interview on video to Entertainment Tonight saying that she had an advance of the track…..he was forced to retract!!!!!!!!WOW, Taylor.
The video is here (2:12 mark):

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIryeQwYVGY

Disgusting to let Kanye appear insane. He is issue ridden, but this is just wrong. Rick Rubin and the producer of Grammys know the truth.

      • LadyLoo says:

It wouldn’t surprise me, Marissa. She will lie to promote her own image and manufactured persona and she will threaten and blackball people as well. That Grammy producer probably got a letter from her lawyers like so many others have.

      • K.C. says:

@Marissa She’s like a mob boss. She makes things she doesn’t like go away.

    • ohdear says:

I think what this situation has shown is that there is a lot of maneuvering in Hollywood, period. It happened to be Taylor’s situation that opened the door, but I would imagine most feuds/business friendships/partnerships are highly organized and PR’d. It isn’t just Taylor, but she definitely gets roasted for being the one that got caught.

      • Christin says:

That’s my takeaway as well. It’s a huge charade designed to ultimately get money from the masses.

I envision most of these ‘feuds’ or made-up storylines include laughter behind the scenes at how riled up or syrupy supportive the public gets.

      • K.C. says:

They all benefit from these “feuds.” Unless they do something truly awful, none of them are truly damaged from these situations. They get more attention and their album sales go up.

      • Luca76 says:

Honestly I don’t think Kanye benefits from this feud. You won’t ever hear Jay Z making a diss track on Katy Perry for a reason. Kanye has over the years through his ravings, public meltdowns, backstage tantrums become a punchline and its sadly overshadowed his talent. This feud is only benefitting Kim.

      • Betti says:

The thing with Taylor is that these ‘feuds’ are not PR stunts, she does seem to have genuine beef’s with some of these people, particularly Katy Perry and her ex’s. If it were PR then they wouldn’t be reveling in her roasting which they are.

    • k says:

Actually what it showed me about Taylor was that she is either a tad bit racist or if she isn’t she is EXTREMELY willing to play on horrible and dangerous racial stereotypes to keep herself the victim. This was something I thought was always an unfair criticism of her because while yes it was obvious she benefited from this in the media (see the media images of her goof in Nicki vs Taylor) I didn’t think she played up on it. Well I WAS WRONG!!! Taylor plays up on it, she seeks that theme, storyline out so that she can play the innocent pretty lily white princess. She has done it to keep that stupid 2009 thing alive a lot longer then it deserved to be, she used it to bury the fact that Kayne wasn’t wrong BEYONCE SHOULD HAVE WON, she played it so she didn’t look bad with her poor me crap with Nicki.

And she tried to use it here when she is called out for being a manipulative, unprofessional liar.

I always knew Taylor was a mean girl, manipulative, and out for herself and I was fine with it because sometimes her songs are catchy. However, I am not fine with this new development. It crosses every line that there is. I mean she actually compared being called out to a murder (and by the way if OJ did murder Nicole it had nothing to do with him being black).

    • Jess says:

Why the slut-shaming comment? It is so irrelevant, mean-spirited and just TIRED at this point to make fun of Kim’s sexual history.

I wish both sides would just knock off the ugly comments.

      • Fl girl says:

” I wish both sides would just knock off the ugly comments.”

+1 – How is this not over yet?

  11. AG-UK says:

Seeing her walk around makes me want to run to my Pilates classes she is too tall not to have better posture maybe that’s a 20 something thing you will be hunched over at some point so don’t start now. Head up shoulders back!!!

  12. Emily says:

I actually thing these photos are legit. We all know how Taylor usually dresses for the gym when she knows that we’re watching.

  13. Fa says:

Instagram is helping her to remove negative or abuse comments this is wrong I understand they help her with the abuse comments but everyone got negative & positive comments on social media but why remove the negative comments & keep all the positive comments is she a baby who want to hear positive thing about her?

  14. my3cents says:

What I get out of this is that he has some endorsement deal with Nike, otherwise it really is strange that he literally does not have any other workout gear.
apart from that nothing new here.

    • Lynnie says:

Nah, he just has the one set of clothes. Nike wouldn’t touch him with a 10-foot pole, because A.) he has no name recognition, B.) he doesn’t reach their target demographic, and C.) besides Wimbledon he’s not connected to sports in anyway.

      • Luca76 says:

Or maybe they gave him a dozen of the same outfit? Not necessarily a sponsorship but maybe they sent him clothes? Corporations do stuff like that all the time even as a plebeian I’ve gotten free items from corporate types.

    • OhDear says:

      I thought so, too.

She’s also wearing a Nike jacket.

    • LadyLoo says:

He WISHES he could get an endorsement deal like Nike. He was lucky to get Jaguar and a few bits of clothing from RL. Nike would probably send him some free stuff with the hope he’d wear it for free publicity, but they’re not going to pay him to do so.

    • Izzy says:

The shirt actually has the name and logo of a film production company, Legendary Entertainment.

    • jammypants says:

I’m pretty sure Legendary, like most film productions, give out shirts. Legendary produced their logo t-shirts on Nike threads. Tom, being the lazy clothes shopper that he is, probably just wears it out of convenience and comfort. If he is selling the brand, he would be wearing much more variety.

  15. Amanduh says:

Umm…wouldn’t we all?? I wouldn’t lie, but you’d better be sure I’ll make your life a living hell if you cross me, my friends or my family.

  16. Lynnie says:

I couldn’t continue dating or “dating” someone this manipulative/has a history of pulling petty stunts that’s all I’m saying.

    • OhDear says:

Yeah, I agree. He looks like a snake by association. But this is a lose-lose situation for him; he’ll look bad no matter what he does.

      • WhatTheHell? says:

He’ll look better if he quietly distances himself from her while he’s in Oz with a statement released at a later date.

Staying with her will continue to bring him the wrong kind of publicity.

That snarky tweet from Kyle Buchanan during the Skull Island panel tells you how Taylor has impacted his image. Not good.

    • Marissa says:

true, but he cannot leave now. he has to sticky by through the emmys. i am sure they will make an appearance there. he should break up with her in oct.

  17. Jessie says:

I have a feeling there’s going to be a pregnancy announcement soon. Isn’t she done with her tour? This would be the next step in the Taylor PR evolution – mommy/wife. And then she would be untouchable lol

    • LadyLoo says:

I can’t see TS having children anytime soon. Children take the spotlight away from their mothers. She would never allow it.

      • GingerNYC says:

TS has been saying since at least 2014 that she’s not sure that she ever wants to have children.

      • K.C. says:

@GingerNYC I think that was while she was doing her “No one wants to sign up for this lifestyle, #ForeverAlone and if I ever had kids they’d be stalked by paps and it would be so sad” tour. If she doesn’t want kids that’s fine and good for her for knowing what she wants. But I think that was really playing up the “single girl” image she was peddling for a while, that included how she couldn’t have good things in her personal life without being called out by the media.

  18. LadyLoo says:

When those recipes went live, that phone probably flew within an inch of Hiddles’ giant fivehead. It ended up hitting the wall because a wall is a slightly larger target than his fivehead.

At this moment Hiddles is probably trying to borrow a cosplay outfit so he can sneak back on a plane to Oz alone. (JK, she’s likely already activated the ankle tag that forces him to return to her side and they are now preparing to show off their true love during another walk through LAX).

    • LadyLoo says:

*receipts* – autocorrect why you got to let me down?

But maybe Kim’s next move is to put out a cookie recipe better than TS’s.

  19. Matador says:

“why is Taylor’s iPhone screen cracked?”

Obviously, she dropped it during a particularly stressful game of Candy Crush.

    • K.C. says:

She was playing Pokemon Go too enthusiastically and threw her phone in an attempt to catch ’em all.

  20. Pine Cone says:

I wonder what would have been the result if Taylor had said the truth from the beginning? I mean what if she said “Yes Kanye called me about the lyrics and I am fine with them.” Wouldn’t that have caused a huge backlash against her as well?

  21. Pegacorn says:

She should just embrace the Regina George image. Be the mean girl and own up to it. Like rub it in people’s faces how you’re rich and beautiful and how people should idolize you. Be mean on purpose.

    • jammypants says:

I just watch Martha Stewart give a roast on Comedy Central. The way she owns her bitchiness is delicious.

  22. K.C. says:

Almost 100 comments on her cracked phone screen. So great. I’m enjoying a mimosa on the veranda.

  23. racer says:

During the taped conversation she mentioned how she was close to overexposure. She then unveils her current relationship with maximum overexposure. Team Taylor you say? The world will always be filled with people who will never be described as smart.

She doesn’t have the foresight to go away on her own, the vanity is strong with this one. She’ll fade away when she becomes irrelevant.

    • Little Darling says:

The relationship roll out was credited as being timed to go public the day before (?) Kim’s article came out, if I remember correctly, or maybe the day after. The world then went crazy for it, with new shots happening every day, traveling and meeting families too. I think that was tying to steamroll Kim’s story with deflection. Funny how the moment it hit snapchat we didn’t see her for five long days. Again, I feel that’s no coincidence.

When she said I’m so close to overexposure as the first thing, that’s so telling to me! She didn’t care about the misogyny in the lyrics right off the bat, she cared more about the exposure being too much. She didn’t seem to care that Kanye wanted to have sex with her and claim her fame, but more about how she could spin it to further her image, “he told me all about it and I’m so cool right?”

  24. Mandy says:

I’m on no one’s team here but can’t stand people saying that Kim and Taylor are on the same level. Taylor at least has talent. I’m not a fan of her music but I do sing and play guitar and no amount of mom and dad’s money can make you good at those things. At least not good enough to make hits. No amount of lessons will stick if you don’t already have a natural talent and ear for music.

Can any of you write a song? Read music? Play guitar beyond knowing 3 chords? Sing at all? Go on stage in front of a thousand people or thousands of people and perform and not mess up? Try playing the guitar and singing into a mic and not look down at your guitar if you have one. Just the little stuff that goes into performing can be tricky.

And as for her singing, what is this new standard for being a great singer? Belting it out like Mariah and Whitney did in the 90’s? Over singing every word like Beyonce or Christina? How many girl singers would be around if that was the only standard?

Listen to her song with The Civil Wars called Safe and Sound if you can’t stand her pop songs and tell me honestly that you sound better than that. Better yet, make a recording and post it on YouTube for all to see.

Taylor is a brat and a liar and totally obsessed with herself but she has worked hard as a musician and does have talent.

Kim is only going to be remembered for being Kanye’s wife, selfies, as the girl with a champagne glass on her giant roasted chicken colored rump on a magazine that no one cares about and for being in a crappy music video with her cartoonish boobs jiggling around on a motorcycle in front of a green screen. Oh, and her valley girl voice with the crackle sound at the end of each word.

    • GingerNYC says:

+1000 on this. Team No One here as well, but all the smugness on here calling her untalented or that she the same as the Kardashians? C’mon.
And very interesting that with 120+ comments, no one has responded to this one.

    • racer says:

Take a deep breath. Everything will be fine, we promise.

The argument is not about talent. Talent, like art is subjective. I can play guitar along with 2 other instruments and read music. A lot of people can and they aren’t famous.

The argument is about the image Taylor has projected her entire career. She is the character who is above it all and her sh$t doesn’t stink. That is disingenuous. No one is perfect, flaws are ok. She absolutely spins negativity to make sure she comes out on top. She absolutely plays the woe is me victim. That my dear takes more talent than what she produces in a studio.

Anyone could have outed her. Kim and Kanye are not the constant in her bedazzled world. Taylor is the constant.

    • Goldie says:

Re: Taylor’s vocal ability, not everyone has to sing like Mariah Carey, but her voice is pretty weak, even when compared to other singer/songwriter types. Think of Jewel, Norah Jones, or Sarah Bareilles. These singers don’t do vocal gymnastics, but they’ve got strong voices with their own signature sound. Taylor’s voice, imo, is pretty weak and thin, although she sounds decent in her acoustic performances. I don’t think she’s untalented though. I give her credit for writing catchy songs.

    • Jess says:

I dislike everyone in this feud but let’s not act like Kim has no talent. Her talent lies in her business savy and branding, which she is VERY good at.

  25. Mandy says:

And those of you who are feeling so bad for Kanye, remember that he ruined not only her Grammy moment, but Beck’s as well. He wasn’t all broken hearted about what he did to her or he wouldn’t have done it again and with more venom.

    • k says:

He didn’t ruin her Grammy moment. He messed up her MTV award moment and he apologized, lost a tone of money and lost concerts and deals. Also its not like she deserved to win in all honesty. Kayne was beyond wrong in what he did.

And since then he hasn’t done a single negative thing to her until she lied and then he lost his temper once.

      • Mandy says:

Meh. All those award shows are the same to me. I don’t watch them. I’m stuck in the alternative 90’s and don’t care for any of these musicians but it wasn’t his right or yours to decide whether she should have won or not. He entered her life the moment he decided to play awards King and brought this all on by himself. He revoked his apology to her, anyway. And what’s his excuse for ruining Beck’s moment?

      • k says:

No sorry- he brought on the backlash of 2009. That is IT!!! The man; whom I do not like he is a dick for lack of a better word, does not deserve to have to constantly deal with this. He didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t rape Taylor. He embarrassed her at a stupid award show and has had to apologize and deal with it for 7 years. It wasn’t the big of a deal.

And he took back her apology after her lying manipulative stunt at the grammies. Sorry everything happening to Taylor now she earned and deserves. She over played her hand and kept trying to make this a real thing and it wasn’t. So as much as he was wrong in that moment she gets payback now and I will cheer it on because it is a story that should have been over by the end of 2009.

There is no excuse for what he did to Beck, but note how Beck handled it with class and grace vs. Taylor. It is because Beck wants to be judged on his music and work not on some poor me image. Taylor doesn’t.

    • Saks says:

He also said the most vile things about his ex Amber and her son, until she shut him up with the fingers thing. He is not a good person (or a genius like he wishes) and I’ll never understand Kanye apologists…

      • honeybee blues says:

That’s because you also don’t understand that her being a vile, manipulative liar is completely separate from Kanye. You seem to think not defending a vile liar like TS equates to being a Kanye apologist. We can not like more than one person at a time. We’re special that way.

  26. Dlo says:

First, I am team no one. Taylor lied and got busted. I do have a question that has been bothering me. If Kim had the receipts, why didn’t she drop them when this first happened? I would bet lawyers are on speed dial, so clearing them for release would not take long. They were released to coincide with Kywtk show. Could this be a stunt on both sides? Or did Kim save them to help her show and Kanyes album?

    • lilacflowers says:

Kanye’s album came out months ago. And you’re right. If this were to defend Kanye, Kanye could and should have done it months ago and without all the snake emojis and “watch my snapchat!” and “is this national snake day?’ tweets and interviews in GQ. But this is not about defending Kanye. Kanye did something nasty to Taylor. Taylor did something nasty to Kanye. They’ve evened the score between themselves months ago but this is not about them. This was never about them. This is about Kim. This is all about Kim drawing attention to herself. She is exploiting her own husband to draw attention to herself and garner ratings for her show and hits to her twitter, instagram and snapchat accounts.

Meanwhile, Amber has weighed in wanting to know why Taylor got a phone call about nasty lyrics but she didn’t get one asking for her approval to be displayed naked and spreadeagled in a bed with Kanye in that video. Does Kim have an answer to that?

      • K.C. says:

Part of me is amused that people are, for the most part, ignoring that disgusting video. But the other part of me wants everyone to go after him for it, because it was truly appalling. I think someone said because it’s a “parody” he’s somehow protected, but…ick. The fact that he put Rihanna and Chris Brown naked next to each other bothers me most. And, obviously, the fact that these people didn’t sign off on having naked likenesses of themselves depicted anywhere.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

But people did go after him for that disgusting video.

You can literally check on the thread about the topic and see a thread filled almost entirely with rightful criticism of Kanye. He deserved the criticism he got when he did the terrible video and he still does.

It doesn’t eliminate Taylor’s own wrong, it just adds to it.

      • K.C. says:

Sorry, I didn’t mean “people” as in the general public—I know he was called out on that. I meant the people who were actually depicted in the video, who have widely ignored it so far.

Kanye’s video and his conversation with Taylor are two separate issues, so if you’re responding to me, I never meant to imply that what he did eliminates what she did. Apologies if it came across that way because that’s not what I meant at all.

I don’t like Kanye’s behavior/attitude most of the time, but tbh I don’t know how anyone can muster a strong opinion one way or the other on Kim. She doesn’t have a strong personality. She knew how to work her angles to achieve the level of fame she was looking for and seems like a savvy businesswoman in that regard, so vitriol thrown her way (more so on other sites than here) is puzzling to me. At worst she’s annoying and overexposed, but beyond that? Meh. She’s pretty mild.

    • Lena says:

because she saved it for her own show. to tell it like it is. i must say that i find it appalling that she is pretending like kanye accosted her twice. taylor went to dinner with him, spoke of collaborating with him , thanked him for the flowers after giving him an award. so the first statement that there was no contact is hideous……and racial. i am really bothered by this no matter what kanye has done. also, when the producers of the grammys says that you heard the song……come on , girl.

      • lilacflowers says:

She saved it for her own show to get publicity for herself. The Grammy incident happened five months ago, not five weeks ago. If the purpose was to set stories straight, it should have been done then and by her husband. Not her.

  27. whatthewhat says:

just realized what Loki is possibly doing with that gym outfit, pulling a D, Radcliffe and hoping to fuck up the paps ability to take and show photos. Something about how they are unusable if you can’t tell the difference or something. though obv if he is it isnt working. =p

    • jammypants says:

He just wears the same clothes all the time. Nothing to do with deflecting paps. He’s done this since his Thor days. He recycles like nobody’s business.

  28. Melbwoman says:

Well, I really don’t care about any of them too much but I think it’s funny that everyone is calling out Taylor Swifts act of being sweet, princessy etc. whether main audience is 7-12 year old girls, I’d rather her be that as a role model than KK… Just my two cents 🙂

    • Nev says:

She’s being called out for being a liar and setting up Kanye to make herself look good.

    • Saks says:

I have to agree. My little cousins are huge fans of Taylor and even I was never thrilled about her, I saw her as a good role model for them. Now, well it’s a bit different, but I still prefer them to like Taylor over Kimye or any Kardashian

    • K.C. says:

I don’t think anyone is debating who makes a better role model. Taylor and Kim don’t even have the same demographics where that comparison would ever come up. They’re from totally different universes.

There are aspects to both women that are admirable and not admirable. It’s really just a matter of opinion. They both own their respective brands and are clearly forces to be reckoned with in how they do business. Whether or not you like their images is a separate issue, but I think it’s undeniable they’re both awfully good at what they do. I find being a professional reality star a bit silly, but dang, Kim works it and has made serious bank off of it. She doesn’t have the talent Taylor has, but she has the business savvy to make money nonetheless.

Role models are important, but I think the most important aspect is that children (or adults) recognize that they’re not perfect, and that you can look up to them in certain ways while not agreeing with everything they do. You can look up to someone for being outspoken, or incredibly talented, or very kind. You can admire aspects of their personality and draw inspiration from that, without worshipping the ground they walk on.

For instance, as an adult I find people like Natalie Portman and Emma Watson admirable for making time for their education despite being movie stars. Do I love everything about them? No, I don’t really know a whole lot about either one. But I find that part of them quite empowering. People are never just one thing. Once you start to learn more about any celebrity (or any person in real life for that matter), they stop fitting into the image you first had of them. I think acknowledging that there are some overall inspiring people who also have qualities that aren’t so admirable is important. Teaching kids that people are fallible, but still worthy of respect is important.

  29. jammypants says:

I just found out that year 1989 is year of the snake. 🐍🐍🐍

    • LadyLoo says:

It was foretold many years ago that a snake would be born in the year of the snake. But this snake would be clever and disguise herself as an innocent blonde girl, with middling talent….

  30. what's inside says:

The whole lying thing is yesterday’s news. I want to know when is she getting the ring. As for the Kardashian-West thing, it is just so ewwwwww …..Taylor probably needs to take at least 30 showers to get past this. Kanye has a serious obsession with Taylor (just one of many since Amber is on hiatus) and Kim enables him in his madness.

  31. Veronica says:

Just as expected, she’s fine. She’ll have to lay low for awhile and come up with a new narrative, but I’ll be amazed if this is what brings down a pretty blonde woman with a lot of money.

On a side note, I’m pretty sure the gym pants she’s wearing are the LE jungle print ones from Victoria Secret’s VSX line. You, too, can dress like Taylor Swift for a mere $95. 🙂

  32. Belle Epoch says:

Why is she always seen going to the gym? She has no muscles anywhere – except maybe her stomach, but that could be contouring. Does anybody know if she just bicycles for an hour? She could use a dance class instead.

  33. OriginallyBlue says:

She can never seem to get the smirk off her face.
