Blac Chyna shows off her Kardashian-baby-bump on the cover of Paper Mag

If there is a How To Be A Kardashian rule-book published in the ninth circle of hell (Lucifer’s boutique imprint), “appealing naked on the cover of Paper Magazine” is definitely one of the rules. So what do you make of this? Blac Chyna will soon become Angela Kardashian when she marries Rob Kardashian. She’s due to give birth to a Kardashian baby in the next month. And here she is posing naked on the cover of Paper. You can read the full interview here – it’s not in-depth in any way, and it’s basically saying that Chyna is famous because she’s a social media star and she’s connected to the Kardashians. Some highlights:

Her sexual history, her stripper past: “Stripper, slut, ho, all these things people portray us as — we wanted to start a movement, because we’re tired of this double standard where a guy can f–k ten bitches and he’s the man. A woman does it and she’s a ho, she’s a slut. We wanted to push the barrier, to own it. You can say mean things about me, but it doesn’t matter, we’re still gonna do us … So what if I was a stripper?”

She doesn’t do interviews, but she’s excited about the reality show with Rob: “I don’t do interviews, and I haven’t spoken publicly in years… I’m excited about fans getting to know me as a person and not as a thing or a face. I’m funny and smart, and they’ll see me as a mom with several businesses just keeping everything together. I’m looking forward to showing my relationship with Rob, our day to day, our struggles and what we’re dealing with, positive and negative. I hope when people think about Blac Chyna, they think of a mogul and entrepreneur, a mother and a badass bitch.”

She’s not scared of reality-show stardom: “It’s what my reality is,” she says. And “you can’t really be scared of your reality.”

[From Paper Magazine]

Sure. It is what it is. The more I think about it, the more I do admire Amber Rose and Blac Chyna for their awareness-raising Slut Walks and more. There’s a reason why Amber and Chyna are denigrated as merely strippers, video girls and side chicks. And that reason speaks to ingrained misogyny and racism. So I do see it as Chyna and Amber reclaiming their narratives. That being said… Chyna is a “mogul” in the same way that Kylie Jenner is a mogul. In that neither of them are moguls.

You know…I’m ready for some REALLY shocking pics of these koven members with some clothes ON. 🙄

  2. HH says:

She doesn’t do interviews? Quick question… Who was asking for one? I get that she’s had a bit of a back and forth with the Kardashians for a while, but were people clamoring for interviews?

I’m not quite sure on my feelings for Blac Chyna. At times, I find her to be incredibly annoying. Other times, I find her to be entirely self-aware, recognizing the Hollywood/Kardashian machine for what it is, and playing it well. I

Um No she is not, No one put Chyna on, her business, where she sells her makeup and lashes and clothes and whatever is something SHE did and she put together with money she earned, the same cannot be said for Kylie, in any respect is she gonna blow up more now and definitely enjoyed some uptick from this Petty Romance?? ABSOLUTELY, but let’s be clear The famous guys came to HER place of business /tried to woo/ shouted her out in their music not the other way around

Also, she is not dating Rob K. because he is famous. I know I know, some are going to yell “Of course she is” but let’s be real, if it’s about fame, this is not the man to date. Too many crazy women in the family and too little actual fame. I would say it’s the other way around. If anything, it was his profile that needed to be raised.

I don’t necessarily think it’s great that the basis for her/Amber’s/the Kardashian’s fame is their sexuality but damn, I believe her when she says this is what she wants to do and apparently, nothing will get in her way. Gotta admire that. She works and owns her image.

    • HH says:

Plus, you can’t look at Blac Chyna’s face and not see that this is what Kylie was going for… Also, I didn’t know that Blac Chyna was in the beauty business. This make’s Kylie’s foray into the industry all the more dubious.

    • Wren says:

Yeah, I thought she’d already established her business (businesses?) long before the K-Klan thing. There was a good piece on her somewhere, about how she went into stripping with a career plan, saved her money, and basically moved herself up the ladder as it were until she was one of the top paid strippers in a famous club. Even if you don’t like her or agree with her choices, at least she’s worked and built her brand herself, instead of having it handed to her by virtue of an already famous name.

THIS wren, Also full cosign littlemissnaughty, to me, It’s Rob who got on that while he could/was seeking her

    • Locke Lamora says:

I didn’t know she already had a bussiness. That’s very interesting.

It’s good that she owns her past.

But she’s not a mogul. And it’s really funny that she implied that she avoids publicity or something(by saying she doesn’t do interviews). Her entire life is about getting publicity.

Sold down the river to PMK 🙁
She could have kept her self worth, but instead has take the kardashian dollar
    Bit disappointed

I like Chyna. I like her attitude towards life, she really seems to give no F’s and does exactly what she wants. While she may be getting some what of the “Kardashian makeover” as of late she still shines through. I have never watched KUWTK (never will) but I think I will check out her show for sure. Not to mention she’s been doing her thing for a long while making a name for herself. Her lipsticks are awesome. I have a feeling it’s going to be entertaining and she’s actually funny from what I’ve seen on social media.

    😂😄😂😄😂….

Agree re her stance on sluts though. Grrrr, double standards.

  8. Bridget says:

Whatever happened to the show with her and Amber Rose?

  9. Scarlett says:

I think she’s a disgusting human being. And an opportunist. Kudos to them for the slut shaming shaming. But she’s just a gross try-hard. The joy of her family for her impregnation into a wealthy family.. yikes. Not a fan.

    • FingerBinger says:

The Kardashians are gross try hards. She’ll fit right in.

    • Bridget says:

Or maybe her family is just excited that she’s pregnant, period? I hear that sometimes families do that kind of stuff.

I really appreciate what Chyna and especially Amber are doing and continue to try to do for women. The double standard that they talk about is REAL. Men regularly slut shame women for having a past. Chris Rock once said in his stand up something along the lines of “Guys, don’t ask women how many men they’ve been with because it’ll always be too many for you.” He went on to make a joke along the lines of, “What?!?! TWO?! Wow. I guess that’s just how she was raised.” That’s taking a humorous approach but it’s a serious issue. I genuinely appreciate them making this a talking point. I love and respect so much that Amber has said repeatedly that she is going to raise a son who knows not to call women sluts and whores. I wish more women would raise their sons to believe those words are ridiculous as well.

    • SKF says:

I remember that But that Chris Rock did! So true!! The double standard is huge. Channing Tatum can completely own his stripper past, make two movies about it, and everyone loves it. No one judges him or implies he’s a slut or a whore. No one denigrates his character. It’s seen as a cool/cute/fun/funny thing. The women with the same past are treated like the lowest of the low much of the time.

    “I haven’t spoken publicly in years…” LOL

I never heard of this lady before she appeared in some of Kim K’s booty selfies. Were there really press clamoring for interviews before that? or even then?

  12. elly says:

    Rob isn’t baby daddy.

  13. Jade says:

She is a total hustler, she went from being a stripper to a legit business women, I love it. That being said I hate the idea of glamourizing stripping, young women should know they are more valuable then just their body.

  14. LWithHearts says:

I really like this cover…I think she looks beautiful : )

  15. Belle says:

I think this looks really tacky.

  16. Trixie says:

I really dislike the term “slutwalk”. Isn’t the point to get people to stop using the term slut? So why use it in the movement’s name? That makes no sense to me. And please don’t tell me they’re “taking back the meaning”. It’s a derogatory term that has always been a derogatory term; there is no “reclaiming” it.

    • GeekLuva says:

What ‘has been’ does not equal what HAS TO BE. The very definition of change means to not stay the same.
By digging in your heels and refusing to let change happen does not mean you’re right or correct..

      • Trixie says:

Let what change happen? They’re not changing the definition of “slut”. They’re saying clothing choice and number of sexual partners is not an invitation for rape, which I totally agree with. But the term with its derogatory definition still exists and calling something a “slutwalk” isn’t changing that. They are doing nothing to change the definition of “slut”, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about here.

      • GeekLuva says:

        Trixie
        I’m referring to your line:
“It’s a derogatory term that has always been a derogatory term; there is no “reclaiming” it.”
You’re saying that once a common opinion has been established (always been), there is no way to change it. I believe there is always an opportunity to change something. I think positive change comes from being positive. Instead of just sitting back & saying this is how it always was, so this is how it will always be.
Maybe I’m just more optimistic than you.

So sick of plastic surgery being glorified. What in the H E double hockey sticks are we teaching our young females:(
