Kylie Jenner skipped the AMAs to witness the birth of her puppies

Jordyn Woods Celebrates Her Birthday Party In West Hollywood

Kylie Jenner, who has made so many contributions to the music industry, was a no-show at Sunday night’s American Music Awards, but she had a good excuse. As much as I don’t really think any of the Kardashians should ever raise children, I’m okay with them owing pets, as long as they are all as loving pet parents as Kylie (somewhat surprisingly) turned out to be.

The 19-year-old model let her social media followers know on Sunday that her dog Bambi, an Italian Greyhound, was going into labor with her puppies. The papa is Norman, another Italian Greyhound, in case you were curious. I am an absolute sucker for puppies, so I would have skipped the AMAs for that too. Kylie tweeted, “For those asking…I was planning on going to AMA this year but Bambi went into labor so I’m here taking care of puppies.” She did post a sad face emoji in the tweet, so you know she’s sincere.

I have a dog, and I love her to pieces, but she’s been fixed since she was a young’un herself. I can totally identify with Kylie here. Bambi had two adorable puppies, which Kylie has told Twitter she’ll be keeping. She posted photos and videos of the new arrivals on Snapchat and my cold little heart grew two sizes just looking at them. I can honestly say this is the only thing a Kardashian/Jenner has ever done that I have cared about. But, hey, that might just be me.

If you are interested in Kylie’s other endeavors, she launched the holiday collection for her Kylie cosmetics line on Monday, and they’re probably sold out already. The items available, featuring some festive new shades, range from a mini kit of lipsticks for $36 to a $325 “holiday collection bundle,” featuring a bunch of her lip products, as well as an eye shadow palette, creme shadows and a makeup bag. I’ll stick with the $17.99 Ulta holiday makeup bundle, if it’s all the same to you. My Santa’s pockets aren’t quite that deep.

Oh, and lest we forget the family we are dealing with, she also paid tribute to her boyfriend Tyga on his 27th birthday by posting a pair of racy, NSFW-ish photos with in in a topless embrace. I just gave her props, but, ugh. Oh, and there is that whole “not spaying your pet to control the pet population” thing that she’s getting a little bit slammed for on social media. But, again, who am I to judge? Congrats to Bambi and Norman though!

These cutie pie puppies are the exact palette cleanser I needed after those gross ass Tyga photos.
I saw them yesterday, so didn’t click the link at the bottom of the article. Which if you haven’t, just don’t. It’s everything you think it is.

I actually think this is worse. Just thinking of all the young girls who will now want their dog to have puppies… meanwhile, homeless dogs are dying in shelters. We have no right to breed companion animals as long as shelters full of them exist.

OK, I love Italian Greyhounds, I love puppies, I would absolutely skip an award ceremony to be with my pet in labour. Reluctant liking… growing…

And while I am a massive advocate for rehoming rescues, and neutering… eh. This was a pedigree dog who she bred to a proper stud animal, she supervised the birth herself, she already plans to keep the puppies. If you’re going to breed dogs, this is how it’s done responsibly. I hope she gets Bambi neutered soon though if she’s not planning on any more.

Corey, bravo on the proper ennui. Cold little heart, indeed.

My dog got hit by a car today. And died. My little cousin left the front door open and she ran outside. I’m devastated. I feel like I lost a family member. So now I’m crying over a Kylie Jenner post.

    • embertine says:

      Oh Locke I’m so sorry.

    • susanne says:

I am so, so sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself today.

    • Kayla says:

I’m so sorry for ur loss … I’ve shed a tear over this post too for a similar reason, I took my dog to the vets today for what I thought was simple boosters , and yearly check and turns out what we thought was epilepsy is most likely a brain tumour 😞 2016 sucks

    • burnsie says:

I’m so sorry, Locke!! That is heartbreaking. Sending all my love your way 💕💞

    • LadyMTL says:

Oh no, I’m so sorry, it really is like losing a family member. Cry as much as you need to. Sending hugs and sympathy your way. <3

    • Abigail says:

I’m so, so sorry Locke. I’ve had dogs for years, and it’s never easy to lose them. A friend of mine lost one exactly as you did–a visitor didn’t secure the door. Take care of yourself; it is like losing a family member.

    • Locke Lamora says:

Thank you all so much for your kind words 🙂

    • Otaku Fairy says:

      That’s awful. I’m really sorry.

    • Chinoiserie says:

So sorry. My dog died years ago after a being ill for a while and it still hurts, you must be devestated after such a shock. My new dog run away after my brother opened the door last week and it is terrible to imagine this could have happened.

    • AceMom2 says:

Oh, I’m so so sorry Locke, that’s awful. There’s no easy way to lose a pet but to have it happen so suddenly must be devastating…. I’m crying for you too 🙁 Sending you big hugs ( ( ))

    • MoochieMom says:

I am so sorry! We lost two in one week and I know this pain. Many hugs
      to you.

    • Dani says:

Locke, so sad to hear about your pup. Losing a pet, especially suddenly, is beyond heartbreaking. Sending comfort and love your way.

Those are some pretty cute dogs while Tyga is definitely dog ugly.

  6. huh says:

The sub tweet pornhub directed at her over those near nude photos should have been the real story. That was honestly so hysterical.

  7. MissMerry says:

yeah, this is cute until 7 years go by and she turns into paris hilton who can’t stop buying living things and neglecting them when they get too big or too old or she finds a cuter one…

  8. Suzy from Ontario says:

Well, I’m glad there are only two pups and that she’s keeping them, but I hope now that she gets her dog(s) fixed and doesn’t have any more pups. There are already too many dogs and puppies that need loving homes in the world!

Plus what happened to the dark brown labs that she and her sister got for Xmas in 2011? Does she still have that dog?

  9. Sunnydaze says:

Good for her for keeping them, but I just can’t get on board with breeding dogs given how many are up for adoption…hell, you can even go to breed specific rescues and get puppies, I just don’t see why someone would want to do this. But sure, if you’re going to this is the way to do it.

Something nice, I saw on dlisted the pics and there was one of her smiling with her teeth…she looks like a totally different person. I wish she would abandon that deadpan look and try to be more animated, it really was a cute pic despite Tyga in it.

    • Otaku Fairy says:

I agree. If we temporarily forget the drama and who the people in those photos are (a guy who, at around 24 or so and with a baby and ex-wife of his own, got into a relationship with a 15 or 16-year-old Kardashian), the photos do look really nice and photoshoots like that with a partner/significant other have always been sweet and sexy to me. Also fun if the theme of the pics have something to do with some series (book/comic/movie etc.) that you have a little nerdy obsession with.
I’ve never seen puppies that small and young outside of pictures. Only kittens. Hopefully Kylie will be a responsible pet-owner, unlike Bieber and Hilton.

  10. gene123 says:

She tweeted that she was shocked Bambi got pregnant…uh you have an unaltered male and unaltered female, what did you think was going to happen?

I can’t get behind this. Spay & neuter your pets!

Also, a lot of trainers and rescues recommend against raising siblings together. While it works for some people, it requires a lot of extra training and attention because they will bond with the sibling instead of the owner. When I was involved with a rescue, we had to put in a policy against adopting out littermates because 99.9% of the time, one of the siblings would be returned within 6 months

  11. Lex says:

I am definitely pro-desexing pets but that is to stop fools letting their animals have litter after litter and then dumping the results at a shelter. If she is keeping the puppies, that’s all good!
