The Stable Genius is rage-tweeting about the NYT, Russia & collusion this morning

Donald Trump is raging. He’s apparently throwing tantrums all over the place. There’s no Hope Hicks to soothe him and get him his baby bottle of Diet Coke. All he wants is for his daughter-wife Ivanka Trump to come through the door of the Oval with a big bucket of KFC. Sidenote: where art thou, Complicit Barbie?? Complicit bitch has been in the wind since Passover. Anyway, Emperor Baby Fists is RAGING. Let’s be real: he’s truly angry and panicked about Michael Cohen and Bob Mueller. But what he’s raging about this morning is a complicated New York Times story about how a shady Ukrainian business funneled $150,000 through Trump’s shady charity. You can read about it here. These are Bigly’s rage-tweets:

“No Collusion or Obstruction (other than I fight back)…” Wait, what? And now Trump is trying to sound like he’s being hard on Putin. How will Putin pull Trump’s strings next? Wait to see on the next episode of Who Wants To Set Fire To The World Through Nuclear Annihilation?

Meanwhile, most people are pretty convinced that Trump is going to end up firing some people this week. Will it be Jeff Sessions? Rod Rosenstein? Or Bobby Mueller himself? Wait to see on the next episode of Survivor: Fascistic Banana Republic.

Last thing: I’m still laughing at this fat fascist f–k in his too-small coat.

Why doesn’t he strap himself to one of those new, shiny, smart bombs like Dr Strangelove and send himself to the middle of the ocean? Take Princess Nagini with him.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

      Thank you for this.

Really…he could quit. Though he is probably going to hang on as long as possible for the legal shield the presidency (temporarily and partially) gives him and the lily-livered protection by Congress.

      • Esmom says:

Did you see April Ryan ask Sarah S if he’d considered stepping down? I wish reporters would ask her that every single day.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Esmom, I saw a headline about that question and wondered who had the balls to ask. Of course it was April Ryan! She has shown such courage during this administration. She puts things on the record that need to be said and asked.

    • ELX says:

*Sigh* He got away with so much in New York-going along and getting along. A certain amount of sleazy corruption is par for the course in his business and he isn’t anyware near the biggest fish in that murky pond. Now, however, he is President and he cannot grift under the radar as he used to do. All if his messes will be dragged into the light of day and there are a lot of them.

      • Lorelei says:

@ELX that is exactly right. As a NY’er I’ve been used to his BS scandals for my entire life, but he always managed to skate through basically unscathed. How he thought being President wouldn’t bring an entirely new level of scrutiny is beyond me. But I also don’t understand how he convinced millions of people that he’s a genius billionaire when his many bankruptcies are public knowledge, so.

    • Elkie says:

      That is an excellent suggestion.

Two Scoops has clearly forgotten that he campaigned on indiscriminately murdering the innocent family members of enemy fighters, yet when Assad (allegedly) does it he’s a “Gas Killing Animal”.

I don’t really believe that slowly dying, crushed by rubble in the aftermath of a drone strike is a more morally acceptable death than poison, but that’s just me.

Oh, and if he’s really not still Putin’s puppet, why are the unanimously voted- for Russian sanctions STILL not in place?

    • Anastasia says:

Ha! Thank you for that image, it made me chuckle on a not so great day.

  2. Clare says:

I’m guessing the ‘complicit bitch’ is an error, albeit more accurate than Complicit Barbie lol

  3. Clare says:

I hope is Sessions he fires – mostly because I want that evil leprechaun out of a job, with the added injury of knowing a Democrat took his seat in the Senate.

But, how would that impact the chain of command for Mueller? Presumably the new AG wouldn’t recuse himself and would therefore outrank Rosenstein?

    • cr says:

He can’t fire Mueller directly, he either ask Rosenstein to fire him, and since Rosenstein won’t, fires Rosenstein, and puts in place someone who will.
If he gets a new AG, then that person would be the one to fire Mueller, since presumably new AG wouldn’t have conflicts. Presumably.
But firing Mueller isn’t the end, Mueller can contest his firing, and the investigations will still go on. I’m not sure Trump really understands that.

    • Nic919 says:

A new AG needs to be approved by the Senate and many GOP have said they would approve anyone new. Rosenstein is only the assistant AG so he is probably most vulnerable.

    • holly hobby says:

Someone has been slamming this into his head: he can fire Mueller. I want to know which idiot is filling that preposterous idea? Suckabee said in the presser yesterday that he could fire Mueller.

Very misinformed. I noticed his kids have been really quiet lately. Maybe they have their scruples and could see the writing on the wall.

      • Lorelei says:

My guess is Stephen Miller, because he’s really the only one left? And I don’t think the Dotard takes advice from Jared anymore. But who knows with these people.

    • jwoolman says:

I want the elf to hang onto the AG job for dear life. He’s recused from the Russia investigation, which is why Rosenstein is in charge of it and appointed Mueller and has no intention of firing Mueller without serious cause. And serious cause does not mean “Trump threw a tantrum because the guy was doing his job right”.

The elf is an important protective layer here.

  4. Indiana Joanna says:

Wow, in that last photo you can see he has such short legs and tiny feet.

    His insanity exhausts me.

    • whatWHAT? says:

tiny feet, and hands, too. the coat is too big for him in every area except his KFC/McDonalds-induced belly.

    • brincalhona says:

It looks like he’s used Wonder Web to hem his trousers

  5. Beth says:

Someone needs to turn off his Twitter account and sit him down for a briefing where they’ll correctly teach this asswipe what’s going on

    • Who ARE these people? says:

Twitter could do this any time.

There’s no one left to pacify him and he wouldn’t at this point listen to anyone who could.

He has always been coddled and protected and finally ran into something that could be bigger than him…if the people make it work.

      • Veronica S. says:

Seriously. There isn’t enough pressure put on Twitter about their willingness to let the worst of the Internet (the POTUS included) manipulate freedom of speech to promote hate.

    • jwoolman says:

No, we need to see every unhinged tweet. Evidence.

  6. Digital Unicorn says:

He’s going to do something very stupid this week, very stupid. He’s going to fire Mueller and start a war to distract from it. He’s been itching to play toy soldiers.

    He’s getting fatter and fatter.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

That’s the big worry especially with Bolton egging him on.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I’m really scared. He’s realizing how weak he is, and he’s lashing out like a desperate animal. I hope we can survive him.

  7. grabbyhands says:

I know I’ve said it a billion times, but…this is the president.

Sitting somewhere in the White House at 4 AM typing red faced and furious like a frigging angry 12 year old girl. Literally willing to lie and incite people in order to distract them from what he’s doing and will do. What a f*cking embarrassment.

Someone will get canned before the weekend is out-it just remains to be seen who it is. I think this has finally pushed him to the point where he isn’t even playacting at being rational anymore, so I don’t think he’s listening to anyone about what would be a bad move. Hopefully Mueller and Rosenstein have been preparing for this.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

They have, but it’s far better for them to be in place. I would think that leaking about Dana Boente’s notes was meant to reinforce the obstruction of justice portion of the puzzle; that one seems ready to go but it’s not the one to light a fire under this Congress.

  8. minx says:

The NYTimes top editorial is “The Law is Coming, Mr. Trump.” It homes in on the sleaziness of Trumps entire life and how he doesn’t realize he’s in another league now. No wonder he’s upset.

    • Christin says:

It’s the money trail that he wants closed off, and he now knows they’re several miles down that road.

    • Kitten says:

I haven’t read it yet but just by the title: YES. He’s a man who has never once been held accountable for his misdeeds. He’s always gotten away with his scamming, lying, and cheating.
This is a new world for him and he simply cannot stand it.

ETA: Jenns comment below nails it: becoming President was the worst thing that ever happened to him.

  9. Jenns says:

I think he’s tired of Ivanka and Jared. He know’s they have their own agenda and it doesn’t include him.

And while I know he wants to fire Mueller(or have someone do it for him because he’s a coward), he also knows that the reason Mueller’s there is because he fired Comey. There is nothing he can do to make this mess go away, so he’s freaking out.

Honestly, becoming president was the worst thing to ever happen to him.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

It was! And one of worse things to happen to everyone else too.

    • Lady D says:

I was going to say good he deserves it, then WATP brought me back down to earth.

    • holly hobby says:

Comey went on record in his ABC interview, calling Orangino a Mob boss too. ABC hinted that there were a lot of things he said and some was shocking. Can’t wait for that book!

Yes Comey was the linchpin in this whole house of cards. If he stopped listening to Dickless Ken, he wouldn’t be in this pickle today. So I guess we can thank Dickless for this.

  10. Mumzy says:

Please watch the Netflix series about him Trump: American Dream. It is fascinating and is an amazing look back to see how he has devolved into what he is today.

    • Esmom says:

Ooh, hadn’t heard about it. Thanks.

    • OriginalLala says:

i haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it – his face, anus mouth, and voice just bring my anxiety levels wayy up.

    • Lori says:

I watched that the other day. He (allegedly) said he wanted to divorce Ivana because he didnt want to “be with a woman who’s had children”. HIS children. What a lovely man.

      • Vava says:

That struck me as well. The documentary was interesting……..they suggested that Trump went crazy at that evening event when Obama was poking fun of him. And that was the moment he decided to enter politics.

      • adastraperaspera says:

He also told Howard Stern that a woman’s sexual shelf life for him expires at 35 years old.

      • Who ARE These People? says:

White House Press dinner? Seth Meyers actually half-jokingly apologized for that one. The footage of Trump’s concentrated death glare was chilling.

      • jwoolman says:

Who Are- Seth shouldn’t feel guilty. Trump had already been deep in birtherism before that dinner. I don’t know why he even decided to attend, he has no sense of humor. And obviously the whole point is always to skewer the attendees. For some bizarre reason, he thought he was taken seriously and it would be a love fest with an admiring crowd. But Trump is unable to read people in general. He is the center of his own universe.

Also Trump had been attempting to enter politics for a long time. I don’t think that dinner had anything to do with it. The Russians were also promoting him very early, he’s a classic stooge type.

  11. Esmom says:

I (we) are LMAO at “baby bottle of Diet Coke.” Thanks for the visual, Kaiser.

NPR just quoted Sarah S saying that the POTUS can fire Mueller, so who knows what will happen. How rich of Trump to say the “Russia C” investigation is taking up too much time. As if nothing can happen simultaneously. As if he and his GOP cronies had no problem spending excessive amounts of time investigating, say, Benghazi. Grr.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

      Grrr indeed.
Slight amend, if she said he *thinks* he can fire Mueller then she’s off the hook.

    • Christin says:

He’s also reusing the “fighting back” excuse, versus obstruction. Some have previously speculated that will be his defense — I was fighting back, not obstructing!

      • still_sarah says:

@ Christin : Yes, I saw that too. As if it’s not obstruction when “the other kid started it”? Breaking the law is breaking the law even if you think you have a good reason for it.

    • holly hobby says:

Don’t forget that coward Pruitt spending our money and ruining the environment at the same time! See GOPers can multitask.

  12. Nicole says:

Legit cackling at this image of Hope feeding baby trump a bottle of Diet Coke. Thanks Kaiser. Lol
Anyways I can’t decide what’s more funny* the fact that we may be in the first ever war started by a tweet, the fact that we will probably go to war because they need a distraction or the fact that all the people trump wants to fire are lifelong republicans. Frankly I’m surprised our Saturday night massacre HASNT happened yet.
    *by funny I mean horrifying

  13. Jay says:

I loved the “I (we)” in his tweet. What a fool

  14. Eric says:

Emperor Zero is going down. I can’t wait until he fires Sessions, RR, or Bobby. There’s a trigger switch in NY ready to go off via NYAG Schneiderman that will indict both Junior and Jared. It will be a glorious day (again!) when the Dotard realizes his immediate family members are going to prison and he can’t pardon for state crimes.

I’ve been laughing/peeing myself for the past 24 hours. 😂

    • Christin says:

Wonder if Suspicious Minds is playing in his mind? He could sing it to his lawyer and other co-horts.

      We’re caught in a trap
      I can’t walk out
Because we laundered/grifted/obstructed/conspired too much, Baby…

  15. cr says:

slightly OT: according to Axios, Zombie Eyed Granny Starver, AKA Paul Ryan, won’t be running for reelection.
House Speaker Paul Ryan has told confidants that he will announce soon that he won’t run for re-election in November, according to sources with knowledge of the conversations.

Why it matters: House Republicans were already in a very tough spot for the midterms, with many endangered members and the good chance that Democrats could win the majority.

One of Washington’s best-wired Republicans said:

“This is a Titanic, tectonic shift. … This is going to make every Republican donor believe the House can’t be held.” The announcement will help Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in his fundraising because “the Senate becomes the last bastion,” the Republican said.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

McConnell needs to be given so much blame for the degradation of the federal system and the near-complete uselessness of checks & balances at this point.

      • jwoolman says:

McConnell is a very rich man, a millionaire many times over ($20 million is a figure I’ve heard). It’s time someone looked into how he made his money.

  16. Citresse says:

Is it Trump himself tweeting all the time? I mean those at the top usually delegate this kind of stuff to support staff. I know the spelling is atrocious at times which leads me to believe it’s actually Trump himself tweeting at times but certainly not all the time. Has Trump himself ever stated in interviews he alone is in control of all his tweets? These tweets can have such a detrimental impact.
I believe Twitter is a bad thing for any politician.

    • cr says:

It used to be easier to tell, Trump’s tweets came from his Android phone, staff tweets under his name usually came from an iPhone, IIRC. Now it’s harder. From Atlantic Monthly:

..The use of pled in last month’s tweet unleashed speculation about its true authorship—Trump’s lawyer John Dowd ended up taking the blame for a statement that seemed to add an incriminating bit of evidence to an obstruction-of-justice case. This time around, no one seems to deny that the sentiment is Trumpian. Even the machines agree: the site Did Trump Tweet It? puts the machine-learning probability that Trump wrote the tweet at over 99 percent. But those fussy commas around the like suggested to many that Trump must have dictated the tweet—perhaps to his communications director Hope Hicks, who is painted in Wolff’s book as “the ultimate facilitator of unmediated behavior,” on Twitter and elsewhere.Unfortunately, the forensic linguists whom I spoke to in December haven’t yet worked out a model to help determine when Trump might be dictating his tweets and when they come from his very own thumbs. But his use of the word like is still worthy of some armchair analysis.
The commas around like are an anomaly in the president’s tweeting history: Of the tens of thousands of tweets in the Trump Twitter archive, this is the first time like has appeared this way, except for in two manual retweets. One was from a follower in 2013 who, upon hearing that Trump was speaking at the CPAC conference, exclaimed, “This conference just became, like, a hundred times more awesome!” The other, from 2014, was from Peter King of Sports Illustrated, who tweeted, “Why do baseball players slide headfirst? Are they just, like, not smart?” (Trump thought that was a “great point.”)..

    • lightpurple says:

The early morning tweets are Trump while he’s on the toilet or while he’s watching Fox & Friends. Tweets that begin with “I had the honor …” and contain pictures of sports teams or military groups or acknowledge someone’s death are usually written by staff.

    • Citresse says:

Trump doesn’t get it. His tweets seriously compromise the history, integrity and mystique of the White House.
If George Washington could come back from the dead to spend one day with Trump, he’d be truly appalled. I find it all very sad.

      • Christin says:

Poor George. Spending ten minutes around him would likely seem like hours. A day would seem like a month.

    • Lady D says:

His tweeting is an insight into him. I’d rather he kept it up, knowledge is power etc. We get the real him, plus he can’t deny it. Okay, he can deny it but we’ll still know the truth.

  17. Eric says:

    Goodbye Eddie Munster!
Paul Ryan is “retiring” after this year.
    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  18. Lucy says:

Never mind his coat look at his baby fist hands they are like a child’s in his bid daddies coat.

  19. Cee says:

This isn’t remotely funny anymore. If he attacks Syria, Russia will most likely retaliate, and then what?
Everyone involved needs to take a step back and assess how much damage their countries have already done to Syria and the whole region itself.

    • Lady D says:

I’m seriously puzzled as to why he wants to bomb Syria. He doesn’t give a damn about people in shithole countries, he doesn’t give a damn about 2/3 of Americans, and God help Americans not living in the country itself. So why oh why does he want to retaliate on behalf of children he couldn’t care any less about? I think he wants to drop a bomb so he can feel like a big man, watch his popularity rise along with the stock market and EGO.

    • cr says:

I’m not sure Russia’s actually going to retaliate, anymore than they did a year ago. Tweeting about it makes Trump look ‘manly’ (to him) and also lets Russia/Assad move anything out of the way.

      • Cee says:

Yes, until Putin decides his image and ego have been affected, and does something so calculated Mr Orange Cheeto falls for it and does something stupid and dangerous.

  20. Tiffany says:

To all this clowns supporters and who are looking for a position in his administration, remember this, Michael even had Fredo killed.

    Just saying.

  21. Anastasia says:

He’s even embarrassing in appearance! (Though that’s the least of our concerns as Americans.) Coat that is too big everywhere (look at those sleeves!) except his fat middle, pants that are wide leg (???) and somehow also flooders, coat seems to be navy and pants are black. Ug

I know we’ve had some pretty unattractive/out of shape/obese presidents in the past, but they all seemed to at least know how to dress.

The other stuff: all I do is hold my breath all the time these days. That tweet threatening Russia is, um, interesting.

  22. Mamunia says:

Last night someone asked me why I am so obsessed with hating Trump and couldn’t condense it into a sentence or two because there are so many reasons. Then I wake up to this. He’s insane and all of these people not paying attention are in for a big surprise. I almost wish I could walk around in a state of ignorant bliss . . .

    • adastraperaspera says:

I answer that question by pointing out that Trump wants to legislate me out of existence (I’m gay), and so I’m just defending myself. Or sometimes I just say that he took a Presidential oath to protect us from enemies, and instead of doing this he is refusing to even admit that we have been attacked. I think a lot of the ignorance people have is from the fact that the election and cyber attacks are not visible like a bombing of a city or military base would be.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

I could answer by saying he enables people who want to kill me and my family (we’re Jewish). But then I feel bad because it’s not about me, I have resources and dual citizenship. It’s about everyone they’ve already killed or destroyed, and everyone they will destroy or damage in the future. I haven’t been deported. I haven’t lost access to medical care. I may lose a chunk of my hard-earned retirement income. Or maybe I just care about democracy.

  23. Lisa says:

He keeps spiralling. Isn’t he going to hit bottom yet? Hasn’t he already?

  24. Liz version 700 says:

I loathe this man, and his tweets exhaust me. But I can’t help asking why, with all of his supposed money, can’t he get clothes that fit? That coat? The ties? The tiny tiny hands and his itty bitty brain… it is all so bizarre

    • minx says:

I know, I can never get over how badly he looks. His clothes are always too big, too small, too short or too long. He’s a mess.

    • jwoolman says:

If I were a tailor, I would insist on advance payment before working for him. That might be his general problem. He has trouble getting lawyers for the same reason, he has a long reputation for stiffing people and not taking advice. I think crooks are all that’s left for him to hire.

  25. Shasha says:

The location of those pockets don’t do his hips any favors.

  26. Shasha says:

The location of those pockets don’t do his hips any favors.

  27. why? says:

Can we please stop with this nonsense that Hope is the Dotard Whisperer( kept the Dotard calm)? The Dotard said and did horrible things while Hope Hicks was babysitting him. The Dotard seems “more unhinged after Hope’s departure” because now that everyone else is distracted, gone, or in time, Stephen M is controlling his puppet strings 95% of the time.

Of course the Dotard is rage tweeting. There is absolutely no accountability for his actions. Twitter isn’t going to ban him even though he constantly breaks their bullying rules. The republicans and generals are all complicit. Mueller has fallen into the complicity trap and keeps coddling the Dotard instead of charging him and his family. Stephen M is pulling the Dotard’s puppet strings. And the Dotard and Stephen M are upset because everyone is teasing the Dotard about being afraid of Putin.

There are many questions April could have asked, but asking if the Dotard was going to step down wasn’t a good question. We know that he isn’t going to step down, he wants him and his family to rule this country for life. When Sarah lies, attacks them, or refuses to answer the question, the WH reporters need to ask the same question over and over again. April should have asked Sarah who was the source who said that the Dotard could fire Mueller. Many suspected that her source and “research” came from FN and we were right when it broke last night that the Dotard was seeking the counsel of Alan D, a Fox lawyer.

If the NYT is failing, why is the Dotard always leaking information to Maggie and Michel S? I wish these reporters would call the Dotard out on his hypocrisy.

This is the time we are living in, where the president spends more time tweeting than he does doing his job. It’s the 2nd year of his term and he hasn’t gotten anything done. Cutting regulations on banks, health care facilities, education, environment, and etc… is hurting this country. The economy was and is not doing well.

We have all seen Stephen M’s press briefings and since he is the Dotard’s puppet master now, there is no calm, peace, or focus in the WH.

The biggest mistake that Mueller did was to tell the Dotard that he wasn’t a target and therefore there is no evidence to charge him with a crime. The Russian investigation isn’t corrupt. It’s the Dotard and his family who are corrupt.

As for the Dotard’s aggressive tweets towards Russia and Putin, it can be one of 5 things: it’s coming straight from Stephen M(Stephen M is the Dotard’s speech writer, so would he also be telling the Dotard what to tweet as well? ); it’s a ploy to make people think that the Dotard isn’t in cahoots with Putin; Putin has double crossed A by giving the Dotard the ok to bomb Syria; Putin has double crossed the Dotard and is going to work with Syria and NK to launch a military attack on the US as soon as the Dotard bomb’s Syria; or the Dotard saw how well dropping bombs on Syria last year distracted the press and kept them from talking about the Russian investigation and decided to do it again.

    • jwoolman says:

Mueller isn’t coddling the Trumps. He’s just getting all his ducks in a row. He runs an extremely tight ship, no leaks, and the people on his team (including himself) are known for integrity. Any time we hear anything about his investigation, it’s because Mueller wants us (and those under investigation) to know. He is waiting for the right moment to issue more indictments without jeopardizing the continuing investigation.

Don’t hold your breath for a direct indictment of Trump, though. The DoJ, rightly or wrongly, apparently believes that a sitting President can’t be indicted. Mueller may very well just pass along the detailed findings of any criminal or impeachable activity by Trump to Congress.

And if someone or his lawyer asks the FBI if they are a target, the FBI has to tell them the truth and inform them of which category they are in at that time. The three categories are target, subject, and witness.

A witness just possibly has relevant information about a crime but is not involved. The FBI wants to interview them and possibly subpoena them for testimony under oath.

A target is close to being indicted because evidence exists and had better prepare for being a defendant. Michael Cohen must be in the target category now, since in order to get no-knock warrants they had to convince a judge there was probable cause that a search would turn up evidence of criminal activity and they were unable to be sure the evidence would not be destroyed if they simply requested the docs or issued a subpoena. One former FBI agent said that raids on attorney offices were rare, but generally the raided attorneys ended up in prison.

A subject is under investigation and can end up as a target any time in an instant, but there is not yet clear or sufficient evidence of criminal activity at the time the FBI is asked. Being a subject is good news only if you know you are not guilty of any criminal activity. Trump being a subject is not good news for him but he may be too arrogant and too stupid to realize it. He’s used to bribing and threatening his way out of trouble and hasn’t yet figured out that he is dealing with people who are honest and fearless. It’s pretty clear that at the very least he has been money laundering for rich foreigners for decades, my own suspicion is that his legit enterprises are just fronts for this and so he doesn’t care if they are profitable or not. He might very well have committed a slew of campaign finance violations well beyond the Stormy payoff. He also has been lying about his Russian connections, and there is good reason to believe that he has been wittingly or unwittingly a Russian asset for years.

  28. Lama Bean says:

And ever-expanding palazzo pants (Easter was the worst).

His tweet about bombs in Syria gave them enough time to move all their heavy valuable equipment out of the way before any US strike. Appear tough on Putin and Assad without actually being tough.
