I love Gabrielle Union and that Lainey article was perfect. I’m appalled her series on BET never received any acclaim. I cried I laughed I got my sister hooked.
I LOVED Being Mary Jane! It was such a smart show about the choices women make and living with those choices. I loved how Mary Jane was such a successful newswoman but still worried about her family and hopefully finding the right guy and having kids, etc. It should have won so many awards!
I binge watched all 4 seasons this past week & LOVED it. This show was awesome.
Omg @Kaiser, I’m so curious to know if you watch Southern Charm and would love to hear your take on Thomas and the patriarchal entitlement that seeps through his pores like spilled hot butter on a linen lapel! He’s simply greasy and a genuinely terrible human being just like the most awful brother in that Steve Martins movie version of Silas Marner.
Southern Charm is like a Tennessee Williams story starring extras from the shared set of a Chick-fil-A and a Gap commercial.
Jada, are those cheek implants?
Massive, massive cheek implants, an overdone brow lift, a really unfortunate series of nose jobs that made the gap between her upper lip and nose huge, plus a ton of Botox. She also looks like she might of had a facelift recently, but it could just be that the brow lift was that ridiculous.
To me she’s up there with Courteney Cox. She’s ruined her face past the point of no return, and only managed to make herself look significantly older than she is.
Jada looks like Madam. Cheek implants are TOO big. Turban is ridiculous. She needs to lay off the plastic surgery/fillers.
When this season of RHONY started, it seemed to delve right into their sudden beef. Which was odd because they seemed to get along just fine in the episode Carole was in on Bethenny and Frederick.
Jada had been jacking up her face for over 15 years. I think The Matrix was the last time she looked like herself.
Thomas Ravenel is despicable (coming from someone that lived near the Ravenel South Carolina area and knows).

Being Mary Jane was a great show, especially the first 3 seasons when the original excec producer was at the helm. The storylines were deeper and resonated better.
Unfortunately, the past season hasn’t been as good and the writing really suffered, but Gabrielle was still amazing on it.
Now that Gabrielle and Jada have made up, they should team up and develop a studio or create a show to give other performers more opportunities. I’d support whatever they put out, they’re both so talented.
