The Daily Mail published a story yesterday from a woman who is celebrity adjacent, Kayti Edwards. She’s an allegedly 41 year-old former model along with being Julie Andrews’ granddaughter. Kayti claims to have had an ongoing friends with benefits relationship with Dax Shepard, 43, with their last encounter happening at a party in 2009. Kayti has photobooth pictures where she’s making out with Dax which you can see them on the DM’s site. It’s not just a playful exchange, it’s full on foreplay and I don’t doubt that she was with him that night. Plus she shares details but I’ll spare you. It’s stuff you can’t unlearn. In 2009 Dax had been with his current wife, Kristen Bell, for two years. They had their first baby in 2013 and got married later that year. So Dax would have been cheating on Kristen. Only he says that the photos are from 13 years old, not nine as Kayti claims, and that she’s sold stories about her other relationships with famous men.
I like how the DM put the photo of Dax kissing Kristen on their sponcon vacation right next to the photo of him making out with Kayti. I believe him that it was 13 years ago, not nine. I believe him because if he was fibbing about it he would have picked a number that’s closer to Kayti’s, like 11 years or something. My favorite comment response to this IG is this one “she needs to wash her dirty mind on that @samsungus washer you and Kristen promoted awhile back.” LOL!
This reminds me of a couple in my circle who are so annoyingly OTT on social media. (That’s part of the reason I don’t do facebook anymore and also why I try to hide my job from friends – so I can talk about them.) Mutual friends told me that he cheated on her, early in their relationship, with another woman he met at one of our parties. They’re not a poly couple either, they’re exclusive and always acting like they’re amazingly in love. Also the other woman bragged to the current girlfriend, in front of witnesses, about shagging him! (I’m not British I just like that word.) A lot of us find the girlfriend annoying and I am sorry I missed that exchange.
Getting back to this story, If Dax cheated on Kristen regularly, I feel like we would have heard about it. Maybe they’re at a level of fame where people don’t go digging to find anything about them though, especially since they share so much on social media.
Julie Andrew’s grandbaby…is a WHOLE ENTIRE MESS! And has been for more than a minute….

Sheâs the granddaughter of Blake Edwards, Julie Andrewsâ deceased husband, so sheâs not blood related at all. Kayti is the daughter of Jennifer Edwards, who was Blakeâs daughter from his first marriage (Julie was his second wife.)
That’s interesting Kebbie – every headline I’ve seen of this calls her Julie’s granddaughter, Julie’s probably like HELL NO!
Three things bother me about this story:
1. That fugly brown and blue outfit Kristen is wearing.
2. That someone adjacent to the glorious Julie Andrews could be so tacky (bogan spelling of name, tacky behaviour, etc.)
3. That they call her Julie Andrewsâ granddaughter when she is not.

This is a good strategy on Dax’s part. Just put it out there up front and say, “Nooooope.” It’s nice that someone slaps the DM hard in the face once in a while. They deserve it.

I agree? They seem like nice people but the constant talk of couples therapy and how much they argue and how HEALTHY THAT IS and all the other marriage-related stuff they need to mention constantly is just weird to me.

Dax had a REPUTATION back in the day. Word was that he cheated on everyone back when he was using, and he wasnât a big fixture on the blogs (because he was just that dude from Punked) but it was definitely out there when he dated Kate Hudson for a minute.

For whatever reason I believe him. On the other hand, although it makes great press to say she’s Julie’s “granddaughter,” I think this one is the spawn of one of Blake’s children. Julie had one daughter, Emma Walton. To my knowledge, Blake never adopted Emma so this would be all on Blake’s family. I totally DON’T believe him. He never lies to his children, remember? I don’t think it’s related at all. It’s the holiday season – people talk about kids and Santa in a ton of interviews with celebs who are parents.
The photos look old – her face is look a LOT older in the newest photos of her that I’ve seen – and those are photos that she’s done a lot of makeup and posed for. She’s not a complete moron – she’s going to do her best to look really good in the new photos. But the photo booth photos there’s not a line on her face, and she seems like she’s really not wearing much makeup.
In this year ALONE she was accused in February of being Kid Rock’s mistress for a decade, in May was supposedly cheating with Jack Osbourne, August she sold stories about Matthew Perry, and now this. It seems to be every few months she’s getting her name out there. She’s done a bunch of interviews about being Julie’s (step) grand daughter and prior to that she posed in Hustler dressed as Mary Poppins and Julie was apparently considering litigation – she REALLY has a need to be famous and use other people to get there. It’s definitely very suspicious. Does it mean that she’s automatically lying? No. But it definitely makes her credibility not very stellar. Dax has been pretty honest about what a mess his life has been but he’s also been very honest about the amount of therapy he’s done to work through his issues. And it seems like once he got clean he really turned himself around.
Yea, if this was only 9 years ago, woman has aged HARD.

Someone mentioned how different his appearance was from 2009 when those pics are alleged to have happened and 2006/2005 when he said it happened. Mainly you can tell the difference in how long his hair was in 2009. Even wearing a hat it would be hard to cover it.
