A tiny little piece of the new ‘Game of Thrones’ episodes aired during the Globes

When are we going to get a full-length trailer for Game of Thrones’ final six episodes? I suspect we’ll get the trailer when A) they’ve completely all the postproduction CGI (ICE DRAGONS) and B) when we actually have an air date confirmed. Can you believe we still don’t have an air date yet? UGH. Anyway, during the Golden Globes, HBO dropped this trailer for all of their new shows/movies, and it included new footage from GoT: Sansa coldly welcoming the Mother of Dragons to Winterfell.

I’m sure there will be drama, and I can’t wait for Jon Snow to see Bran at Winterfell and for Bran to be like “Bee Tee Doubs, you know that Prince Rhaegar Targaryen was your daddy and you’re actually banging your aunt, right??” Maybe that’s why Sansa is wearing such a sourpuss too. I don’t know! I’m just ready to end this and find out what happened, and then curl into a ball and cry. Speaking of, the head honcho at HBO has seen ALL SIX EPISODES.

HBO chief Richard Plepler was in possession of the best cocktail party gossip of all on Sunday night at the cabler’s post-Golden Globes bash. But he wasn’t sharing — much. As Plepler held court in the main dining room, staying away from the light rain that fell in the outside area (the Hilton pool was covered for the occasion), he let it be known that he has seen rough cuts of all six episodes of the final season of “Game of Thrones.”

“It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie,’“ Plepler told Variety. Of showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Plepler enthused: “They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”

[From Variety]

If I spend six Sundays over the summer watching 90-100 minute GoT movies, I will actually be pretty happy with that. It will probably be the highlight of my summer. Be honest, you know everything will completely shut down when the final episodes begin to air. YAY.

Sansa does not look happy! Mind you, I wouldn’t be either if I had to hand over my ancestral home just because my supposed half-brother is sleeping with the Dragon Lady. LOL.

Honestly, I cannot WAIT to find out what happens, I do hope that at least one of the dragons survives. Most of the people can jump off a cliff, Arya and Sansa excepted because I have a soft spot for them. And Tyrion, because he’s awesome.

I think its not so much a handing over as acknowledging Dany as queen. On Reddit, they were saying that Ned Stark greeted Robert Baratheon the same way back in Episode 1. The sour face is probs because Jon was named King in the North by acclaim, and has now bent the knee to Dany, leaving Sansa (Lady of Winterfell) in a very odd position, politically speaking.

This!!! I was waiting for people to start on about Sansa HANDING Winterfell over. It’s just the phrase they use. Jon said it to Stannis also when he was at the wall. Its the welcome that they would give to the reigning monarch visiting their home, and acknowledgment that they are the top dog. Its like Mi Casa, es Su Casa, but Westerosi.

I am toying with the idea of getting HBO this month (I stream amazon and hulu) and re-watching all 67 (!!!) episodes in advance of the last season. So much stuff has happened, people that died that I am sure I have completely forgotten a good chunk of it.

I’ve watched most seasons more than once, I love re-watching it because you pick up on so much more stuff the second (or third) time around.

If you want good recaps, but don’t want to get HBO earlier, I highly, HIGHLY recommend a YouTube channel called Alt Shift X. His commentary on the show is some of the best I’ve seen and he really puts a lot of time and effort into the recaps/info videos.

I’m currently a full time student & my finals are at the end of April. HOW AM I GOING TO GET ANY STUDYING DONE?! I’m so ready for these final episodes I want to watch and read everything before hand that people are putting out, but at the same time, I want to hold out and see nothing until the first episode of the last season (sob) drops. I’m so ready to see how they end things!!!
