Nick Hogan gets taken for $130,000

It’s hard to feel badly for Nick Hogan. And by that I mean it’s completely impossible. In fact, it’s a lot more fun – and appropriate! – to laugh at his misfortune. Especially when it’s to the tune of $130,000. You see, Nick got swindled. He made a bad investment, trusted the wrong people, you know how it goes. Sort of a low-rent Bernie Madoff situation. Nick invested $50,000 with two guys who were going to start a production company. The company never happened. They also charged over $80,000 to his American Express without his permission. Nick would like his money back please.

Nick Hogan is as bad of an investor as he is a driver — in a brand new lawsuit, Nick claims two guys he tried to start a business with rode him for a grand total of $130,767.75.

Nick is suing Louis Adkinson and Damon Elliot for breach of contract after he agreed to invest $50,000 in a record production company called “Confidential South, LLC” back in January — a company Nick says never even got off the ground.

According to the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nick claims Adkinson and Elliot both promised to invest 50k of their own … AND told Nick everyone would get their money back if the company never formed. Surprisingly, the suit says neither of those things happened.

To make it worse, Nick alleges the evil duo ran up $80,767.75 on his American Express card without his permission — so he’s also suing them for fraud. Nick wants the 130k back — at least.

[From TMZ]

I’m guessing Nick didn’t get much of this in writing. He just doesn’t seem the sort. There’s no mention of how he knows these two guys. I’d assume they’re friends of his, because you’d think even someone as dumb as Nick Hogan wouldn’t just give away his money to people he barely knows. Instinct tells me Nick has a lifetime of poor decisions ahead of him. And expensive consequences. Karma’s a bitch that way.

Here’s Nick Hogan setting up a table, a sign and a few implements to embark on his career as a master stylist in Miami. Two brave customers take Nick up on his offer of free haircuts on June 17th. The photo agency doesn’t explain why he did this and I couldn’t find any information online, but it’s safe to assume it’s for a reality show or something. And probably a good fallback career for Nick when everything else goes to pot. Images thanks to BauerGriffinOnline.

Gee, I guess I’m the only one who feels that it is wrong to laugh and scream KARMA at people’s misfortunes. To me thats kind of like inviting karma to bite YOU in the ass. Either way I’m not sure why the Hogans are famous, except for Hulk the rest really have no place in pop culture.

I understand that whole family is naturally pretty dumb, but you’d think when you are blessed with so much money you’d want to educate yourself. I understand there’s money to be made, but isn’t it worth having some smarts too? I know book smarts isn’t everything, and there are plenty of shrewd people who didn’t go to university. I don’t understand rich families who don’t send their kids to college. My family comes from poor immigrant stock, and my parents scrimped and saved and sacrificed so me and my brother could go to college. On the other hand, I’d probably be miserable if Brooke Hogan was my roommate.

Good luck trying to recover that with no written agreement.

His father should clothesline him for being so stupid.

How does THIS IDIOT have access to that much money on his own? I certainly hope that the family of his friend, who is going to need constant medical care for life thanks to Nick’s recklessness, has already reached some sort of settlement with him, because otherwise he’ll eventually cry poor to get out of that one too.
I think the whole family seems gross and they need to go away.

kiratki….what a wonderful story. As a single mother, I go without new clothes, or even haircuts ( I just let it grow long and gel) and I buy my son all the best pc equipment and software to keep him stimulated and learning. I make sure his friends have a fun place to “hang out” drug free . I will think of your story. Because really its all about evolution. Its not about me. Its about my son evolving PAST me. What a wonderful family you have. Nick Hogans ( and many other) parents teach self indulgence and waste. And their children are un appreciative. My son thinks everything he gets is a treasure and I get warm hugs when I come home after a 10 hr work day. Screw their money. I am blessed. YOu are blessed.

Maybe he’ll deliberately lose all his money in bad investments/scams so he won’t have to pay the guy he turned into a vegetable. Then again, maybe not. Jerks like him can’t hold two thoughts in their heads at the same time, so I think it’s another example of a great saying, “Stupidity has a knack of getting its way.” Or to put it another way, Nick can’t be saved from his own stupidity.
