New York Jets. Santa Monica. I’m dying. I love Ted Lasso and this looks just as good as the first season!!!

    • mander says:

Same to NYJ and Santa Monica! Can’t wait. Such a sweet surprise last year.

    • Esmom says:

Agreed. I guess I’ll have to subscribe to Apple TV. I used the free trial for the first season, lol.

      • Ann says:

I just subscribed so I could watch some of “Outlander.” I have no idea what inspired me to take up with that show again, since I stopped watching after S1 several years ago. Blame it on the pandemic. Anyway, I’m glad I did because I can’t wait for S2 of Ted Lasso!!

    • BeanieBean says:

So this is what people have been talking about! Looks like I’ll have to subscribe to yet another streaming service.

      • Becks1 says:

@BeanieBean its really such a feel good show. He’s just a really really nice person. There are some conflicts obviously and I definitely cried, but it’s nice to have a show that’s just about someone who is kind and thinks of others.

This will only apply if you 1) like Apple products and 2) need a new iPhone, iPad or computer but I bought a new iPad sometime in the last 6 or so months (time no longer has any meaning; i can’t even recall the season) and I got a free 1-year subscription to Apple. They do not have a ton of programming but I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve watched with Ted Lasso at the top, but The Morning Show, Dickinson, and Little Voice were all enjoyable.

I love Ted Lasso so much, have recommended it to everyone.

It is true though.. when I lived in SF, once in a Whole Foods I heard, “Mama, how do you spell sugar?” “P. O. I. S. O. N.” 😛

  2. Cidee says:

This just solidifies my belief that Olivia Wilde has a hole in her head. I LOVE TED LASSO!!!!

  3. Anna says:

Ahh this makes me so, so happy! This show brought so much joy. I’m gonna need 100% more Roy Kent though!

  4. Abby says:

    TED LASSO YESSSSSS

  5. LarkspurLM says:

YAY TED LASSO!! I believe in Season 2! BTW – Google the Ted Lasso “Biscuits with the Boss” recipe. They are so easy and tasty!!!!!

    • Tiffany :) says:

      There’s an actual recipe?!?!

    • faithmobile says:

I will not admit how many batches of shortbread I baked after watching Ted Lasso. I added my own chai spice blend to the recipe and-yum! And then there was the millionaire shortbread faze…

    • Alarmjaguar says:

Well, I know what I’m doing this weekend! Thanks

I lived in Baltimore 17 years ago during a cicada year and it was insane. They were every where. My dog loved them and would eat the shells like they were potato chips. There’s a fancy private school that always does outside graduation except for cicada years because it’s too loud.

    • Becks1 says:

I was in Bmore for it too last time and now I’m still in Maryland and I’m DREADING it so much. It was horrible last time. My job required me to be outside a great deal and it was just awful. I remember one time getting in my car and feeling like someone was watching me and looking over and there’s a cicada perched on my shoulder. I screamed. omg. I can’t handle this lol.

    • BeanieBean says:

I lived in Georgia during a cicada year–and I had to do fieldwork! (Archaeologist here). Freaky little devils with giant glowing orange eyes, pelting my truck, me. Ooh, gives me the shudders just thinking about it.

    • MaryContrary says:

Holy cow-we lived in Bmore for almost 15 years-and my second son was born in April 2004. I have very distinct memories of having to put his stroller “bubble” over him when we’d walk anywhere during that cicada bloom. Shudder.

    • The Recluse says:

I was living in suburban DC, Prince George’s County, when they had a massive Cicada boom. I would drive the BW Parkway and it felt like I was being dive bombed by them. I would flinch and duck every time one hit the windshield. It was remarkable.
I also witnessed quite the air skirmish between a hungry sparrow and a cicada. Those sparrows are bad ass.

    • Willow says:

Last year the 13 year cicadas hatched here in West Virginia. We had almost none in the backyard because as they started to hatch our dogs would dig them out of the ground and eat them. The ones that made it to a tree and had wings, my male dog would hold in his mouth and let vibrate before he crunched it. And dog walks turned into a cicada buffet because they literally vacuumed up every one they could find on the road. Super gross and helpful at the same time! And then the noise the cicadas made! A constant low level buzz, after a while I didn’t even notice it. The best thing I did was go online and research about them, because even though they are gross and freak me out a little, knowing interesting facts, helped me appreciate them, and by the way, frogs and birds also say thanks for the feast.

“Rule number 1, even though it’s called Girl Talk, sometimes it needs to be Girl Listen”.

Sedakis earned every last one of those awards if this is how he delivered in the 1st season.

  8. Eating Popcorn says:

Watching this at my desk as I am wearing my AFC Richmond Football Jersey!

  9. Turtledove says:

I only just watched S1 recently. It was SO good. I had heard good things, but had been resistant to watching for some reason. I do that every once in awhile, judge a show based om pretty much nothing, dismiss it, and then eventually try it and love it. I did the same thing with Peaky Blinders, which, while extremely different from Ted Lasso, it was also very good.

  10. lascivious chicken says:

I hate sports but I love this show so much!!

  11. Lucy2 says:

Yay for Ted Lasso! Can’t wait for more.

  12. Silent Star says:

I love Olivia’s coat too! Although I’m not a fan of boyfriend jeans, I think she could have pulled off this look better with different shoes. Maybe ankle boots, or at least something in a dark leather.

  13. Stacy Dresden says:

Loving all the dog munching stories re cicadas. I am so used to them, I’m from the Carolinas
