As is usually the case with Amy Winehouse, the tabloids were correct! There were rumors a few weeks ago that Winehouse got a boob job. Some claimed it was nonsense (cough cough CB cough), but Amy’s dad Mitch confirmed the boob job story yesterday on an appearance on British television. Mitch is actually a really creepy guy, yes? He sounds sketchy in this interview, especially when he talks about how “fantastic” Amy’s new boobs look:
Amy Winehouse is a completely different person from who she was this time last year, her father says. The singer, 26, is doing well both inside and out – and that includes her recent breast enhancement.
On Wednesday, Mitch Winehouse told British TV show This Morning that his daughter is, “Fantastic, fantastic. Her boobs are great as well.” He then smiled and said, “I shouldn’t have said that should I? She looks absolutely fantastic.”
Asked if the operation really cost $56,000 per reports, he shrugged, “I don’t know. I didn’t have to pay for it – that’s all I know. Whenever I see her, she says, ‘Dad can you give me a couple of hundred.’ [But] I didn’t have to pay for the boobs. I don’t know.”
It has been a turbulent year for the singer, who is now working on her third album. She has been through a divorce, cleared of assault charges and spent many months in St Lucia as she sought to get healthy. Her taxi-driver father said that she is faring well and “has not been sick now for a year.”
But the battle is ongoing. “There is no total recovery. It’s a recovery. It’s a slow, gradual recovery,” he said. “If you look back to where we were a year ago, you know we are in a different planet. We are in a different space and a different time and a different person. We all are. We’re all recovering.”
The singer’s father spoke on TV a day after he addressed Members of Parliament, telling them that his family had been fortunate to afford the best clinics and doctors when seeking treatment for Amy. The special committee met because he is making a documentary about families coping with drug problems, and he was imparting some of his experiences and anecdotes culled during his research.
His advice for families coping with addicts? “The best thing we can do for our loved ones who are addicted is to maintain that normal family atmosphere. Why should they feel guilty? When the person has recovered and wants to reenter the family they don’t want to see a family that’s destroyed, and that can happen.”

Michael K at Dlisted said that Mitch is like the Joe Simpson of England, but I get a more Michael Lohan vibe off of him. Think about it… both have train wreck addict daughters, both stay in the news by giving interviews about how their daughters are ridiculous, and both are pretty f-cking creepy. With Pervert Joe Simpson, it’s creepy in a different way, although Joe talks about Jessica’s boobs in the same gross way. Whatever. I’m just glad I was right about Amy’s boob job!

No, Ashley. There’s a larger picture of the freckles floating around somewhere. She actually used a pen to enhance the freckles. I think she had gotten a few freckles in St. Lucia and decided she liked it.

I dont know.. a lot of times on dr.90210 the fathers are in the room when the patient debuts her brand new boobs to the doctor. I’m always weirded out by that, I certainly wouldn’t in front of my father, but I suppose I can’t just knock it as creepy because I wouldn’t.

I think Joe Simpson is still slightly creepier. At least Amy’s dad had context: people had been talking about her boob job. Joe Simpson was basically just like, “Look at my daughter’s tits!” out of nowhere.

The photos in the last boob article of her standing in the street trying to stick out her new boobs, looking real proud of herself in a very unsexy miniskirt, striking a “sexy” (ack) pose wearing the pink “Blake’s Girl” shirt, in a transparent bid to compete with Blake’s actual stripper girl and win his slimy attentions, thinking she’s sexy with the femur-sized thighs? Sad. Just all kinds of Not.
Nothing intelligent in there, if there ever was. Just desperation. At least somebody else did her hair for once. Rehab. Please. Come on, people.

New boobs after being in SEVERAL near-death ODs, suffered from countless amounts of infections? Did I mention Amy Winehouse had more chemicals than a pharmacy?
On topic: Papa Wino is an employee, of course he’s supposed to say nice things about his boss, errr, daughter! But, on a brighter note, at least she’s in better shape than Lindsay Lohan.

I would be soooooooo grossed out, creeped out, skeeved out if my father EVER mentioned my boobs to me or anyone. It just isn’t right, in any circumstance! EWWWWWWWW!
