Adam Lambert talks about “gross” sex with women – again

outcoverdec09

Adam Lambert has made the cover of Out Magazine’s December issue, along with Wanda Sykes and Cyndi Lauper. The December issue celebrates the top 100 gays and lesbians in entertainment/media/whatever. Lambert has been named “The Freshman” and he decked himself out in extra eyeliner and a twitchy, startled expression for the cover. Considering Out Magazine is specifically geared directly to a gay audience, you would think Adam Lambert would have his fabulous talking points at the ready. Instead, he ends up doing that weird thing he did in the November issue of Details Magazine – he tries to butch it up and talk about his sexual experiences with women. Uh… the jig is up, Glambert. We don’t need to hear about that one time, back when you were 18 years old, that you tried to go down on a girl. The resulting story is just what you’d expect: “It was a little gross because I don’t think she was as clean as she could’ve been. It wasn’t the act of it that really turned me off. I don’t really remember. I was 18 and I was drunk.” For the love of God. Just talk about the guys you bone!

On trying to perform oral sex on a woman: “It was a little gross because I don’t think she was as clean as she could’ve been. It wasn’t the act of it that really turned me off. I don’t really remember. I was 18 and I was drunk. Or maybe I was 17… The point of the matter is that I would not rule it out. The idea is intriguing.”

On fame: “I’m doing the best I f-cking can, you know? I’m the same guy doing the same thing on a larger. I’ve always been an entertainer. Fame doesn’t freak me out, and I can handle it. But sometimes out in public there are people that just are so rude. Like, people are really cool about it and they’ll come up to you and they’re just like, “Oh hey man, I really liked you.” It’s brief, it’s sweet, it’s genuine. But some people freak out. And I’m like, why are you freaking out? I don’t get that mentality. I’ve never felt like that about a celebrity before — except maybe Madonna. When I met Madonna my heart was racing. That’s my one experience being star-struck. And I told her, ‘I’m freaking out.’ And she said, ‘Why?’ And I said, ‘Because you’re f—ing Madonna.’”

On American Idol: “I’ve lived in L.A. for eight years… It’s about making a good TV show. I just wanted to be really careful that it didn’t turn into a f-cking pageant. I can sing my face off. All this other stuff is part of a personality, a persona.”

On announcing he was gay: “I didn’t want to acknowledge it as a mistake or something I was ashamed of—I’m not. It’s part of who I am, but because our nation is the way it is, it’s an announcement. If I lose some fans, f-ck it. I need to be happy too.”

On relationships: “I’ve only been in love twice. I have a lot of life experience, but I don’t know sh-t about love.”

On sexuality: “To some people, me being sexual is really offensive because I’m gay. They’re like, ‘He’s being really gay.’ And I’m like, actually, ‘No, I’m just being sexual.’ Male sexuality is frightening to America [but] female sexuality is all over the place.”

[From Out Magazine]

Can you imagine being that girl – that one girl – that wasn’t “clean” enough for the gay guy? And to be discussed like this in an Out Magazine profile? Ugh. Not pleasant. Back in the Details cover piece, Lambert claimed: “I am gay, but I like kissing women sometimes. Women are pretty. It doesn’t mean I’m necessarily sleeping with them. Of course, had I been the one drinking the cocktails. I probably would have made out with her [a woman who was groping him].” So… what’s the verdict? Does Lambert just like to play around with women for fun, or is he making a calculated business decision, trying to not alienate his female audience by letting them dream of… what is it exactly? Some kind of drunken shenanigans that would leave most women emotionally devastated?

I read that as the specific incident being “gross”, not that sex with women in general as “gross”. And haven’t we all been on the giving end of an oral incident that would’ve best started out with a sexy bubble bath or shower?

I have to disagree that female sexuality is all over the place. What it is, is male sexuality being embodied by women who think they are being sexual but are really just catering to the mans ideals f beauty, sex, and passion.
Most women dont know shit about themselves or dont have their needs fulfilled; they are afraid to be themselves and get what they want, afraid of living by their own rules for all the shit that will be said about them or for all the love that will be withheld if they were more selfish… and so on and so forth.

Oh and I wouldnt be emotionally devastated. I would just wash up better the next time :)

@ Trillion: Yes, yes we have. At risk of going into TMI territory, I will shut my mouth.

And I don’t know, I have a friend who’s gay and he has no issues with occasionally kissing a girl.

I thought Cyndi Lauper was married to a guy? Didn’t they have kids together? Is she a later in life lesbian or just a champion of the gay rights?

Just googled her (that made me laugh) and she has been married to a man since 1991, so I am thinking she is just a gay activist and not a lesbian.

Cyndi is just very active in gay causes. She still looks great…she was my first crush back in the early days of MTV.

I think he’s just doing the kissing randoms when drunk thing. How many times have you, or someone you know, kissed someone from the gender you’re not attracted to when drunk? My friends and I do it all the time.

Cyndi isn’t gay, she’s just one of those female stars who’s idolised by the gays, and, you know, stands up for gays and whatever.

Yes, I think she is straight. I think she was voted “Best Ally” in the magazine for her work for gay rights.

I’m not hating on Glambert for this. I may not like the guy, but if a girl isn’t clean and she’s engaging in that kind of behavior – she totally deserves to be called out for it. If you are drunk and you still notice, it’s got to be bad. Props to the Lamb for raising hygiene attention to ladies everywhere! You just never know when that opportunity is going to creep up on you!

No, Glamberace. You’re being really, really gay. Nothing about sexuality is offensive except your habit of offering TMI.

  23. DiMi says:

That was not only TMI, but kind of offensive. It comes off as, “I’m gay because women are dirty and disgusting.” Huh? Why does he need to call this poor woman dirty? I just found the whole description disgusting and unsettling. I just NEVER needed to hear this story. Never, ever, ever. He just needs to be gay and proud and just not talk about women ever again. Ever.

Now, imagine a heterosexual person saying that gay sex is gross…. everybody would be ranting that s/he is a homophobe! I’m glad that Adam said that, because he doesn’t sound like he has become fake like so many of us and all that PC bs.

  27. Rageddyannie says:

Ok, picture this…. If this story is actually true, then it only confirms how truly gay he is. If you are a straight woman, then the thought of doing oral on a woman will gross you out as well. So maybe the girl wasnt necesarily unclean, it’s just that Gay men never grow out of the “girls have cooties”-feeling!

  28. Kristina says:

Adam is SEXY! I’ll take him drunk anytime.

It’s very strange that straight women (myself included) find him so sexually attractive! This is weird for us too. But when you’ve got it, you’ve got it, baby! And Adam Lambert not only has it, he’s dripping in it. He bleeds it. He is SEXY!

  29. Oleg says:

About Adam comment on unclean girl. Well – I am stright 50 y.o. man who had a lot of women in my life and I would say I am lucky that first time I went down was a woman number 14 or something like that. And you know – she was smelly. And next few were kind of smelly, then few were clean. So, the point is – if guy experience starts from oral sex (and that is common in US) he has a good chance to hate this, because not every situation, especially first time happens near bathroom, so – figures.
Give him a breal – he was just honest about his first experience, not because he is gay. He is a great singer and great person with courage.
And you know – I think, he is not really a gay – he is bi-curious, just stack in gay culture for a while.

Adam Lambert is so gross and annoying. His comments. He is a perfect example of a man who holds hatred for women. That comment about a woman being unclean was uncalled for, unnecessary, and hurtful. Too bad he has no class!
