Jennifer Hudson shows photos of 4 month-old son, David, on Oprah

Jennifer Hudson was on Oprah on Monday’s very special Christmas music special. She performed “Silent Night” along with Sugarland and then sat down for a moment with Oprah to talk about her plans for Christmas. Hudson will be celebrating her first Christmas with her four month-old son, David. She told Oprah that she’s going to go “all out” this Christmas for David, and shared two photos of her adorable son. David looks so sweet and aware and you could hear the audience go “aww” when the pictures were shown on the monitor.

“I’m gonna go crazy, [this Christmas]” she told Oprah Winfrey on her show Monday after proudly sharing new pictures of the 4-month-old bundle of joy. “He’s very aware, but he’s young and it’s his first Christmas, so you have to go all out.”
All out indeed.

“I kind of want to bring him his own Santa Claus and have a toy store in the house, full of things,” said Jennifer. “It’s my warm-up, though, for the years to come, when he’s older and he can enjoy it.”

[From E! Online]

Little David is Hudson’s first child with her fiance, reality show contestant and Harvard law graduate, David Otunga. Incidentally, Otunga is currently wrestling for Florida Championship Wrestling under the name Dawson Alexander.

Hudson went through a devastating personal tragedy in late 2008 when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago. It looks like she has a lot of love and sweetness in her life with her new son and buff fiance.

Here’s the video of Jennifer Hudson and Sugarland performing “Silent Night.” This really got me in the Christmas spirit.

Adorable! Uh, if her son is like most of the kids at the mall, he’s going to freak out if he sees a crazy old guy with all that white hair wearing all red.

It took me three years to get my son to even approach Santa. But I understand her want (and need) to go all out for the little bugger. Considering all she’s been through, I’d want to just lavish him with stuff too and make it a Christmas to remember, even if she’s the only one who remembers it.

Very rarely is a parent cuter than the child -and as cute as that child is, his mom is cuter.

Cute baby and Jennifer deserves all the happiness after what she went through last year. But one thing about this article, wasn’t it her mother, nephew and “brother” who were murdered? The article says sister

You are right, westender, thank you! I will fix that now.

I am thrilled for her. I am thinking her 4-month-old baby would not require her to blow tons of money on crap he doesn’t need.

Just saying I dislike wasteful spending, especially for xmas.

    Adorable baby.
Call me cruel, but I didn’t relly do much of anything for my first Christmas with either of my kids. Or even now, actually.
I always wanted it to be about family, not Santa or presents or blah blah blah.

(Of course, my son, now almost 6, is still terrified on Santa. I have no idea why.)

Little David is just adorable and I really enjoyed Jennifer’s musical duet with Sugarland. I’m so very happy that her life is full of love and joy after her tragic family losses last year. She’s a very talented young lady and may GOD continue to bless her with success and happiness.

Happy Holidays to All of You!
