It’s always interesting to me when two different tabloids have basically the same take on a situation. I suppose they could be equally wrong, but I always think “heh… there’s something there.” Well, the tabloids have often been in lock-step with certain stories about LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. Thus, I’ve begun to think the worse of their relationship. Meaning that I think Eddie is a compulsive womanizer and LeAnn Rimes is trying to convince herself and everyone else that he’s totally enamored with her. Anyway, Star Magazine and In Touch Weekly don’t really have similar stories this week, but the subtext is the same: LeAnn is desperate for Eddie to include her in his life, and she will do anything for him. First up, In Touch’s version:
After LeAnn Rimes performed at an LA tree-lighting ceremony, Eddi grabbed her hand and the duo cozied up together. Eddie has a lot to be thankful for, as LeAnn has been showering him with gifts!
“LeAnn bought him a watch from Hermes, a Chrome Hearts sterling silver bracelet with sapphires, tons of cashmere sweaters and more,” her pal reveals, although her rep denies it.
It’s come at a perfect time – just as his split from estranged wife Brandi is getting more difficult.
“LeAnn knows he is going through a hard time right now, and she feels like maybe doing these things for him will make him smile.”

So she’s his sugar-mama, basically. Here’s the thing – if I really thought it was just about sex, and LeAnn wanting to keep her “piece”, I would just think “Go ahead, whatever, good for her.” But I think she really loves Eddie. And that’s just… sad. Next up, Star Magazine. They claim that Eddie’s parents hate LeAnn, and she’s just trying to get them all together for Christmas. Oh, and Eddie’s parents are Cuban, which I didn’t know! Learn something every day:
What does LeAnn Rimes want for Christmas? The blessing of Eddie Cibrian’s family! “Eddie’s parents don’t like LeAnn,” says a source. “They think she’s a home wrecker who used her money to win him.”
And that’s causing big problems as the holidays approach for LeAnn and Eddie, who have been shacking up since he left his wife this summer.
“LeAnn has wanted to have a big family Christmas dinner, and she was going to include Cuban dishes in honor of the Cibrians’ heritage. But Eddie’s folks refuse to come,” says the source. “It doesn’t help that Eddie isn’t really stepping in on her behalf. He tells LeAnn to just give them time, but she’s hurt.”

Eh, she’s really trying to force herself into every part of his life, which has a whiff of “desperado” to me. That being said, Eddie’s parents raised a compulsive womanizer, and I dislike this whole “it’s all LeAnn’s fault” crap. They’re both to blame. And Eddie was screwing at least one other woman while he was married to Brandi. Now, it could be that Eddie’s parents know he has a zipper problem, and they simply don’t like LeAnn or the way she’s trying to insinuate herself into the family. Which is a fair criticism, in my book.
