Here’s Blake Lively at last night’s New York premiere of Sherlock Holmes. I can’t even imagine how cold she was – the whole Eastern corridor is in the midst of a huge cold front, and we’re getting lots of snow today and this weekend. I just checked – it’s hovering around 20 degrees Fahrenheit this morning in New York, so I can only imagine it was in the teens last night for the premiere. The men at the premiere were bundled up in scarves – meanwhile, Blake is prancing around in what basically amounts to a pair of panties and a lace chemise. She looks flawless, though. Great hair and makeup. Perhaps this look would have been better during a warmer season, though.
As many know, I’m a big fan of Blake Lively. I don’t watch Gossip Girl or anything, so I can’t really say I like her for whatever acting chops she has. I think my affection for her is that she’s one of the most interesting girls on the red carpet these days, and because I think she’s very, very pretty, albeit in a surgically altered way. Every day that I see Blake on a new red carpet, I’m happy. She’s likes to show off her T&A, as well as her legs - but rarely in a “look at me, I’m so sexy” Pamela Anderson way. Blake tries to be high fashion while she’s showing off her asset. I appreciate that. That being said, I think she should cover the hell up! I feel like her mom – but she’s seriously going to catch something if she doesn’t start wearing more clothes.
As far as the rest of the red carpet, everybody else at least made some concessions to the cold weather. Robert Downey Jr. wore a fabulous brown suit which looked great on him. Rachel McAdams opted for a strapless jumpsuit that was kind of blah. Jonny Lee Miller was there too! He looks amazing, and he was probably there to support his bestie Jude. Mark Strong is a total cueball now, but I still find him sexy. And Guy Ritchie’s date was his son with Madonna, Rocco. Rocco looked uncomfortable, which makes me feel for the poor kid.

Blake’s face looks totally different. It looks like she may have recently tampered with her nose.
Also I don’t think she was even in this movie, in which case this outfit is not only totally inappropriate for the temperature, but also inappropriate for the situation. She totally upstaged the leading lady (Rachel McAdams)! Faux pas!

Blake is borderline skanky. Still pretty, but too much T and A, IMHO.
I don’t really think Rachel made concessions to the weather, her arms and chest are still totally bare like it’s 90 degrees out. I guess by wearing pants she did? I would much rather see her in a long sleeve mini with black tights – black tights can be chic and quite warming .

That dress looks cheap and like she is trying to hard to be sexy. I recently read Blake doesn’t use a stylist and it’s time she invested in one. I don’t think she has good fashion sense. Her hair looks like she is on her way to the high school prom, turquoise jewlery is a summer casual look and it is inconsistent with the diamond earrings.

I love this dress because it reminds me of something that I would have worn to a grade 10 dance (if I had been a party slut instead of a homely girl with braces and glasses-the slut thing didn’t happen until the 90′s) I was a teen in the eighties and this is where my fashion sense is stuck. I’m spraying my big hair with vitalis…

I agree that it was in poor taste and inappropriate for her to dress that way. Anybody that dresses like that is screaming for attention, that’s fine if you are promoting a movie that you are actually in, but when it’s not your movie that just disrespectful. Blake is putting a lot of stock in her body and looks to make it in this business, so far she has not been successful, last I checked Gossip Girl’s ratings are tanking, her last movie “Pippa Lee” bombed nobody checked that out even though they promoted heavily that she was partially nude. If she has any talent I have not seen it at all. Her publicist needs a serious sit down, because Blake is not going to have very many female friends if she keeps trying to one-up them with her tired T&A show.

She is very pretty, but if the skirt were just longer and not see through, we would not be commenting on anything but how great she looks. Blake needs to save the attention whoring for when she’s Madonna’s age. Doesn’t she understand the Hollywood game????

I think Blake looks very nice and I quite like the dress, i’d prefer it if the skirt was longer, but I don’t see what’s inappropriate about it. Inadvisable given the weather, however.
I’ve never seen Gossip Girl, but I was impressed by her in “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee”. The strongest actor of the cast is Julianne Moore (not to take away from Robert Wright, but Julianne is more prolific, and was amazing in The Hours) and Blake matched up to her just fine. So at least two of us checked it out – before it seems to have hit screens in the US so neagh!
Oh, and Keanu isn’t the worst in it either- they wisely kept him as the silent moody type- except for the age he was trying to pass him off as. Not as hilarious as describing a 35 year old Brad Pitt as 25 in Fight Club, but close

Almost positive she got a nose job. Also, she’s not that great of an actress, at least not in Gossip Girl. it could be due to the horrible writing, but she still can’t hold a candle to Leighton Meester in the talent department.

I’ve never seen GG, but she’s everywhere and I suspect she had a nose job. I don’t think she needed it, and I’m not being condescending by saying that it gave her something extra. Oh well, it’s her face, her life, no one’s getting hurt and she doesn’t look bad. There’s talk that she’s had several though, so what do I know? I haven’t been paying real attention.

I also think she’s really trying too hard with the clothes; every photo I see of her has an insanely short skirt/shorts AND plunging neckline. She’s got a great body, but there are ways to showcase it that don’t look so desperate (see Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek – they are very classy and sexy). Maybe she’s trying too hard because she’s not a very sexual person?

First saw the dress from an angle. Thought….nice……the black lace brings to mind a fantastic Bordeaux and Eurotrash vampires. The I saw the apparent makeshift angle indicating her vag, because apparently it’s better taste than a laser-pointer.
