I don’t want to hear about how Alexander Skarsgard is still with Kate Bosworth. I don’t want to hear about how he looks tired, or drawn, or that you don’t see it. Because it’s there. The hotness is there. He’s just… lovely. And sexy. And I’m not even watching True Blood! But I still see it.
Anyway, True Blood cast members have been giving some teaser interviews about the new season, and for True Blood diehards (cough CB cough) it’s sounding good. Like, Alexander Skarsgard totally naked good. Totally naked “a lot” good. Mmm….
Good news for True Blood fans!
We’re told we can expect much more nudity during season three of the hit HBO vampire series, which began filming again last month.
“A lot of people will be getting naked this season,” T.B.’s Todd Lowe (aka Terry Bellefleur) told us at the 16th Annual SAG Awards Saturday night.
In fact, according to castmate Carrie Preston, baring it all is especially a cinch for hunky 33-year-old Swede Alexander Skarsgård…
“Alex is not shy about getting naked at all!” said Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler. “And there will be lots of those kinds of scenes with Alex this season.”
Lowe said, “He’s already been naked a time or two so far since we’ve gotten back to filming.”
Nelsan Ellis, who plays same-sex-lovin’ Lafayette, said, “There are a lot of hunky dudes and beautiful women who have been added to the cast, so it doesn’t surprise me that more clothes are coming off.”
At the recent BAFTA/L.A. tea party, Sam Trammell, who’s already gone practically full frontal as Sam Merlotte, said he’d like to have a bigger share of the fangelicious hanky-panky.
“I’m not having any sex yet,” Trammell told us. “They really should provide Sam with more sex.”
But then he added, “There is a surprising—well, shocking—scene in the first episode. Some people will be happy and some people will not.”

Sweet Jesus, I have got to start watching this show. It’s HBO, yes? I might have to break down and buy it. I’ll buy it if I’m guaranteed full frontal. Although… full frontal usually disappoints. Will I be disappointed with Alex? Hmm… I doubt it.

This guy plays a ruthless power figure vampire in TruBlood.
He is unbelievably handsome and off-screen he appears more down-to-Earth and human (not sure if he really is, though, or just trying to play the game with Bosworth and fans to make it big).
I am a little worried about the women who find the ruthless power figure thing is what is hot about him, though. This is toxic, Harlequin romance, patriarchical BS that we women need to move on from, eh?
Kinda fun to play around with this stuff when we are equal status in public life to men. Not fun for long when we are not equal to men.

Eric isn’t really sexist in the books. I think Bill is worse. In fact, the thing that makes the Eric character so sexy is his sense of humour and mischief. Not his ability to be ruthless/the power he wields…
As for Alex Skarsgard, he is adorable. I’m into tall men, and he is 6’4”/6’5”. So, enough said.

Thanks for your comment. I haven’t read the books and have seen only Season 1 of TruBlood, so maybe I haven’t see the character develop a sense of humor, etc.
Although his looks really get to me on the show (very, very handsome), the role he is playing (being the ruthless vampire sheriff in the vampire power heirarchy) does not. No wins for women, even Sookie, in that game.

I think he’s delish, BUT the shortened hair and such a clean-shaven visage is too “boy next door” – a look to which I’m not attracted.
I’m one for people shedding their clothes but NOT to the detriment of the quality of the show. True Blood is actually a good show. I hope that producers don’t ruin it in an overzealous attempt to pander to shallow tastes. Hopefully, Alan Ball and the rest of the writing team can adequately compensate.

Alexander is hot but I think his dad is even better! I have had a crush on him for like twenty years. Stellan is the best name ever as well. He is a really cool and down to earth person ,so I would imagine some of that has rubbed of on Alexander, just like the hotness and acting skills.
