Technically, Prince Harry and Prince William are both patrons of The Diana Award. It’s the only organization/charity which counts both brothers as patrons at this point. In the past five years, both brothers have done events with The Diana Award, but not together. Never together. Just going from memory, Harry does a lot more with The Diana Award, and the charity has shifted some of their events to America to be more accommodating to Harry as well. Speaking of, next week, Harry will be in Las Vegas for a special event for The Diana Award.
Prince Harry is paying tribute to his mother’s legacy by celebrating the changemakers of tomorrow. The Duke of Sussex is set to travel to Las Vegas on May 6, where he’ll take part in a conversation hosted by Dr. Tessy Ojo, the CEO of the Diana Award, the only charity that bears the name of Princess Diana.
The event — part of the AI platform for business transformation ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2025 conference — will launch the Diana Award’s “Pledge to Invest” initiative, which celebrates future leaders and helps inspire forward-thinking businesses to support their missions. Dr. Ojo will chair the conversation with Prince Harry, President of Global Customer Operations at ServiceNow Paul Fipps and two young recipients of the organization’s Legacy Award: Sikander “Sonny” Khan and Christina Williams.
Khan works in artificial intelligence at Microsoft and also heads up the Paani Project, an organization that supports diverse humanitarian efforts in Pakistan, including the construction of over 20,000 wells. Williams is an attorney and advocate from Jamaica who champions youth empowerment and marginalized groups’ equitable access to education, healthcare and technology. The conversation will focus on “youth leadership and how employers can proactively create pathways for young people to enter and thrive in the workplace.”
This sounds like an interesting event, and I love how much work Harry still does with this patronage. I’m sure this will enrage you-know-who and in a few weeks, suddenly the Other Brother will organize a palace reception for someone involved with The Diana Award. Obviously, the angle the Mail and other outlets are taking is “Harry will miss his son’s birthday!” Archie turns six years old on May 6 (a little Taurus). I don’t know, maybe Meghan and the kids will join Harry in Las Vegas for a day or two? Maybe a special birthday trip? There’s stuff for kids in Vegas these days, it’s not all gambling and hedonism.

I don’t think they shifted their events to the US to be more accommodating of Harry, I think that Harry has helped open doors for them in the US for more global visibility as well as possibly more financial support. In other words Harry being in the US has become more beneficial for the organization.
Many British charities/NFPs/NGOs need US money to do global work (look at Prince Philip’s and Prince Charles’ charities as examples of such outreach for funding).
Unlike the UK, Las Vegas is only an hour away so Harry will probably won’t miss a lot of Archie’s birthday. It’s still amazes me that Charles set his coronation for the same day, knowing that it will take Harry away from his son. Plus, didn’t the British press says a few days ago, that Harry doesn’t work?
Yes Harry is the most involved in this charity. Yes Peg will probably put out a video but it will have so many I’s and me’s in it that it becomes more about him than his mother. How many nasty articles will this event get? I’m betting a shit ton.
He’ll probably fly in, do the event, and fly home the same day. Though I bet the kids would have fun watching the waters at the Bellagio!
Dude. Las Vegas would be an AWESOME 6th birthday celebration for Archie! There really is so much there to see and wonder at; I am sure there are some super fun places that would LOVE to lend their private party rooms to Prince Harry!! LOL
Once again UK tabloids flunk geography. They don’t realize Vegas is a short hop away by plane. Plus I’m sure it’s a school day for Archie, he probably will celebrate with his classmates and maybe Meghan will send a cake to school! Fun times.
Birthdays sometimes feel like they last a week. And I Just mean different family members can only meet at certain times so you’ll do a big thing on the day that’s not necessarily the birthday. So, I’m sure there will be lots of celebrating with Archie on the day or the days around his bday.
Expect a ‘william goes ballistic about Harry’s involvement in the Diana awards’ headline soon.
Las Vegas is a short flight away from where they are at and both Archie’s birthday and the Diana Awards are on Tuesday when part of the day Archie would be at school. There is no reason that Harry won’t be able to spend a portion of his son’s birthday with him. Most parents with school age children celebrate by sending cupcakes or cake to the school for their birthday son or daughter and actually celebrate during the weekend when their classmates, family and friends are more likely to be available for a bigger celebration of their birthday. Charles stole his only biracial grandsons birthday with his publicly funded ConAnation taking Harry all the way to the UK. I don’t think an extremely short trip to Vegas is impossible for two parents who try and prioritize their children in every way possible.
William will do a Diana Award speech BEFORE Harry does his in Vegas. Petty bitch is William.
I was supposed to go to this conference before Mango Mussolini torched higher ed. Dammit. Grumble. Pout-stomp.
