Princess Beatrice wore Sandro Paris to sit in the Royal Box for Wimbledon Day 1

Wimbledon began today and my favorite player (Daniil Medevedev) has already lost in his first round. The women’s runner-up in 2022 and 2023 (Ons Jabeur) also retired in her first round. It’s been a doozy of a Wimbledon Day 1 already and the day isn’t over yet. Anyway, celebrities and royals are already gathered at Wimbledon to enjoy their tennis, strawberries and Pimms. Princess Beatrice came to Centre Court… with her mom, Sarah Ferguson. Usually, Beatrice goes with her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi, but I guess he was busy. Or maybe Bea just wanted to spend time with her mom. This is Fergie’s first time in the Royal Box in 25 years, according to Getty’s records.

Beatrice got high marks for her look today – a Sandro Paris ensemble which retails for £445. It’s a blue-and-white striped blouse and matching skirt, and there are flower cutouts on the sleeves. It’s not the best thing I’ve seen on Beatrice, but it’s far from the worse. Fergie wore a high-necked green dress which… wasn’t great. It’s reportedly really hot this week in Wimbledon, so I imagine everyone is trying to wear the lightest, breeziest clothes they can find.

David Beckham also came out for Day 1, and he also sat in the Royal Box. He usually gets Royal Box seats, even before his knighthood! But yeah, this is his first big public outing since being knighted. His arm was also bandaged up – he just had surgery on his right arm a few days ago.

I like B’s look, it seems very light and summery. Her Mom not so much.

Fergie always looks like an overstuffed sausage.

Bea looks ventilated. Can’t imagine wearing Fergie’s dress in a heat wave. Need my fan.

WTH, Wimbledon! 🙏🏽 for Coco & Carlos!

I don’t understand a lot of the clothing we’re seeing in these photos. Do none of these people sweat? Green silk, maroon silk, pink silk–sweat’s just going to soak right through! I’d be in something lighter colored, linen and/or cotton, with a hat & sunglasses. That woman in pink is going to be severely sunburned by the end of the day. So is Fergie, and Beatrice, some to think of it. They’re very fair & sunblock doesn’t take care of everything.

I think Beatrice was aiming for “summer fresh” and ended up at “unkempt.” I don’t know how women wear their hear down around their neck and shoulders in 30+ degree weather, I’d faint. And the less said about her mother’s ensemble the better…

and Sir David (LOL) best stop with those fillers soon or he’s going to look like Simon Cowell

Vertical blue and whites stripes at Wimbledon. Sure. Both her and Eugenie have such gorgeous hair. Even if I looooved tennis, I would struggle to sit in the sun for hours like that. I don’t the think I could do it. Some stadiums have seats in the shade but Wimbledon doesn’t seem to, especially if you want to sit close to the action. It’s just funny bc I know that heat was a reason given for Kate not going to ascot. And listen I’m also a hard no on sitting in the sun for hours but if I can have shade then fine. And the royal boxes at ascot are in the shade. Still hot, no doubt, but it’s gotta be drastically better than a long tennis game in the sun.

So many people squinting. Where are the sun glasses?
