Radar Online is reporting that Kate Gosselin will appear on Dancing With The Stars next season. Radar has had insider information in the Gosselin’s divorce that was decidedly favorable toward Kate and I would bet that this is true. It seems just like Kate to leak the news so that she can get some thunder ahead of the other contestants. We heard yesterday from TMZ that Paula Abdul, rumored to be working out a deal with ABC that could land her on Dancing, will not be on the upcoming season as rumored. The lineup for Dancing will be announced tonight after the finale of The Bachelor.
RadarOnline.com has exclusively confirmed that reality TV supermom Kate Gosselin will be one of the celebs joining the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars.
The official line-up will be announced Monday night during the big finale of ABC’s The Bachelor.
But Kate’s new gig will not keep her away from her children. RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that the mom of 8 likely will do most of her practicing near her Pennsylvania home because she insists on putting her children first.
The show was willing to accommodate her because they believe she’ll be a huge draw, a network source told RadarOnline.com. Kate is the breadwinner in the Gosselin family now that Jon has spectacularly flamed out and cost the family a ton of cash by first shutting down Jon & Kate Plus 8 when he denied TLC permission to film the children, and then breaching his contact with the network, which caused them to sue.
That suit was recently settled but cost Jon — and his family a lot of cash. TLC won a preliminary injunction, a sure sign that they would prevail at trial.
With Jon’s ongoing series of mishaps, Kate is left as the primary income earner in the household and she’s taking it very seriously, sources told RadarOnline.com.
“Kate’s the kind of woman who will do whatever is necessary for her children,” one source said. “It’s great for her to be on the show, but she did it ONLY in a way that benefits her family.” The new season of Dancing With The Stars premieres Monday, March 22nd on ABC.

Now Kate will have more mileage to hawk whatever it is she’ll be selling next – that vague 2.0 reality show with TLC, a clothing line, a cookbook, makeup line, toys – whatever. You know she’s going to try and slap her name on whatever will make her a buck.
The question is – will Kate be able to dance? I imagine she’ll be passable, but she seems like she’ll be awkward and stiff. She strikes me as the type who won’t be able to stop thinking enough to feel the music. Those control freak types aren’t the best dancers, but we’ll see.

Man, they JUST got rid of Samantha Harris, who was annoying beyond words, and now they have to bring this broad in. I can’t stand her. Hopefully she will be eliminated in the first week, because she probably can’t dance because you have to have “emotion” to dance well, and she is about as emotional as a piece of wood; and she won’t have enough people like her to vote for her. Her condescending attitude will not go over well on that show.

Well, someone has to be the breadwinner to support the family, and since Jon is too busy with his skank parade, it’s got to be Kate. Besides, Jon has all the ambition of a slug, so it won’t be him who supports the family.

One of my favorite TV shows… and one of my LEAST favorite people. I hope she gets eliminated ASAP. I cannot stand watching her on tv, and any type of show! This is a seriously loser move. I am shocked that Jon isn’t on the show too, wouldn’t that be just the type of sleezy move these reality-type of shows always pull? Jon vs. Kate on DWTS. Thank god it’s not real.

Those Gosselin kids won enough bread over the last few years to have a very comfortable life. Too bad it can’t buy them a parent who can stand to be around them.
Neither Kate nor Jon has any intention of doing the difficult job of raising the children they jumped through fertility hoops to have. Not when they can do much easier things, like host parties, tape tv shows, and go on bullsh*t book tours selling lies.
The kids don’t need any more matchy-matchy outfits, or stupid playhouses for each and every one of them, or any other bullsh*t material luxury item. They need parents to be there every day of their lives to love them and raise them. Not hired strangers.

If she put her children first she would have moved out into the country and sent them to regular school and stopped being such a fame whore. You rarely see her with her children except at photo ops… oops sorry “family outings”. It is ridiculous.
Oh and the constant putting down of Jon? Yes we know he is an asshole but you do have a responsibility as a parent to retain an amount of respect for your partner in front of the children.
