Kate Gosselin’s new (temporary) hair – it’s actually not bad

infphoto_1214533

As we pointed out yesterday, Budget Weave Gosselin was making a big deal about how she needed a new hair style for her Dancing With the Stars appearance, and how she was going to take the old grown-out-“Possum”-joined-with-unholy-budget-weave style for something new and fresh. Her hair stylist made a big deal about it to Radar, about how Kate’s new weave would be shortened and stuff. Anyway, this is Kate yesterday, after a “marathon 7-hour hair appointment”. You know what? I don’t hate it. And I don’t think this is a weave. Her hair looks healthy, and while the cut doesn’t really compliment her face (in fact, it seems to age her significantly, doesn’t it?), it’s so much better than the traditional “Possum” hair (trademark: Michael K).

Just when we had gotten used to her new longer locks, Kate Gosselin decides to change her look all over again! RadarOnline.com has the latest pictures of the former reality mom’s latest change.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Kate is getting ready for her Dancing With The Stars debut starting from her hair down, changing her extensions and preparing to rock a whole new look.

Gosselin stopped by the Ted Gibson salon in Manhattan, NY, on Wednesday and debuted a new, sleek, sharp bob with bangs, colored to a gorgeous golden honey blond.

Kate’s hair looked sophisticated and stunning. It came at a slight cost though: she was at the hairdresser’s for a marathon 7 hours! But don’t get too used to Kate’s new look. As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Kate will be getting new extensions put back in on Thursday.

And what’s the perfect end to a day at the hairdressers? Kate went to grab a bite to eat with her hunky Dancing With The Stars partner Tony Dovolani.

[From Radar]

Yeah, so basically, enjoy this healthy-looking natural hair while you can. The Weave shall return, and ye shall be Budget. Now, even though I mock The Weave, I will say this – it did make her look younger. Now we just have to sit back and wait for whatever new fresh weave hell unfolds next.

Its not really bad but Im so sick of Kate’s hair stories.

  2. Bee says:

OMG in that first picture she looks like some drugged out Real Housewives of Orange County reject. And if mommie dearest applies anymore spray tan she’ll be glowing in the dark.

  3. prissa says:

I like it. She should keep it. The longer extensions looked so cheap. Still wish she’d go away though!

  4. ogechi says:

    The hair is cute.

  5. Sue says:

I am confused you say budget weave – didn’t it cost thousands (although I am sure she didn’t pay). What does a non-budget weave cost?

  6. Jillian says:

    Looks great. Keep it, Kate!

  7. bite me says:

its not how much it cost, but how its looks budget… you know like britney spears extensions

  8. Lantana says:

The hair cut doesn’t so much age her as make her look her age. I would call it “age appropriate”. It’s like when you try on a pleated mini skirt and look in the mirror and realize it would look good on you…if you were 30 years younger. Her long hair was like that.

  9. Soso says:

I really, really wish she would just go away for good. I am so tired of seeing her name.

  10. Stella says:

I think her hair looks cute, especially when you consider how hard it probably is to grow out that awful short do she was sporting for so long…

  11. canadianchick says:

Dear Kate, the military called…they want their helmet back!

Still voting for the ban on the Gosselins-who’s with me?

  12. lucy2 says:

Still not great, but by far her best hair to date. That’s an easy accomplishment though!

  13. Lala11_7 says:

@ Sue…being a woman who is a “weave extraordinnaire”…let me answer that question for you…

the term “budget weave” dosen’t pertain to how much the weave “cost”…it pertains to how bad the weave “looks”…

I have seen women with hair in their hair that cost $125 an ounce…and normally a woman needs about 5 ounces…so you do the math…IT AIN’T CHEAP…and the hair looked like it cost $10…

I have also seen women who paid in total $40 for weave…and their hair looked like a MILLION BUCKS!!!

With weave…its not about price per say…its about knowing what looks good…its a talent…also, your hairdresser HAS TO KNOW HOW TO WORK THAT WEAVE INTO YOUR OWN HAIR…

I’m currently rocking a style that similar to Kate’s…and I LOVE IT!!! Nothing beats a classic bob…and if her hair dresser has any REAL talent…he should be able to hook that up and make it more modern looking in two shakes of a spin…

  14. Marjalane says:

I like the 2nd picture better…the first was too poufy. This cut looks best on long necked tall women. Great color though. The hair, not the orange skin.

  15. bros says:

this so reminds me of this season’s shear genius last week or the week before when they had to cut a graduated bob and April was hating having to do it because it was instant soccer mom mini van. You can tell this was an expensive hair cut judging by the texture of the cut and the color, but it definitely ages her, and im glad about that cuz I cant stand her.

  16. dude says:

Thats actually really cute! Its really short but I like it! Its prob the best her hair has ever looked!

  17. Popcorny says:

Makes me think she’s going to bust out singing “How much is that doggie in the window” or “Que sara sara” at any second.
    Go Doris!

  18. Ana says:

Lantana-I totally agree! I think she should just stick with short hair because for some reason the long emphasized her neck.
Everytime I see her I’m so confused because she always looks too old to be wearing a lot of the clothes that she does….but she’s not old?

  19. Jennifer says:

She’s three breaths away from doing porn. And after that, she’ll be done. Hallelujah, thank God.

  20. Shelly says:

Jennifer – why do you think she’s going to do porn? Just curious.

I think the new hair style looks great on her. Kate is a very attractive woman (physically – maybe not internally) and that style and color really suits her. I’m growing my hair out from that style but I loved it when I had it.

  21. DoMaJoReMc says:

    @ canadianchic:

I’M ALL FOR A KHATE BAN…I’M WITH YA!

  22. bmom says:

I like it and I support her! If you haters were in the same situation, how would you feel with the world judging you? I want her kids to be proud of her, that she is taking every opportunity to support them. She sure won’t get a dime of support from the ex! If it was a guy in the same situation, you all would be sucking up to him, so cliche!

  23. SolitaryAngel says:

Jesus, does this hag EVER close her mouth? She looks like a dead trout all the time.

  24. Laurie says:

7 hours in the city and she still doesn’t go home for dinner with her family but rather, eats with her DWTS partner?!

  25. Tia C says:

@ SolitaryAngel: LOL!! I was trying to figure out what her perpetual open-mouthed gape reminded me of – and you got it – a trout! An annoying, vapid, blonde trout that just won’t go away…

  26. texasmom says:

At least we can’t see the gum in her mouth in these pictures.

  27. Novaraen says:

She’s got a bit of a Carol Channing thing going on now….LOL.

Still has the same c*ntface though.

  28. TaylorB says:

Looks like a pretty cute cut IMHO, maybe she should can the fake hair idea and just let that grow out naturally. Or even just keep that style, as others have pointed out it is age appropriate and looks like it wouldn’t be to hard to style.

  29. Jennifer says:

Bmom: if I were in the public eye, I would know that criticism is just part of it. Some people are just not smart enough to figure that out. Like Kate Gosselin. If she can’t handle the downside of D list fame, she needs to get out of the public eye. Period.

  30. Jennifer says:

Oh and bmom, please prove that Jon is not paying “a dime” of the court ordered child support. Go ahead, I dare you.

  31. Eileen Yover says:

Why do people praise these women for becoming famewhores to support their kids?? If she was a halfway intelligent person, she would have stopped at the number of kids she could afford.
“Sorry mommy isn’t around. She has to go on book tours, spend 7 hours at the salon for her hair, and spend weeks away training for a crappy show to support you!” Please. Those kids were a platform to the DList life. Her and Octo make me wanna barf.

  32. bros says:

    eileenyover, dead right.

  33. Kate G's Friend says:

Kate’s haircut is hot! Way to go Ted!

  34. Maritza says:

I like that hairdo on her but I think she looks better with longer curly hair. Best wishes to her and her family.

  35. Confuzzle says:

She’s looking more tranny like every day.

  36. linda says:

i love the shorter hair she lookes younger, keep it

  37. linda says:

i love the shorter hair she lookes younger and sexier keep it

  38. Beachbum says:

it makes her look 45 years old.. JMO

  39. HMan says:

she is just a carp, she should just give up and go away, and just take care of her kids someplace else than in the limelight; it’s not fair for the kids. Also, just the fact that she is hanging around still proves that she’s just about the money. She is a bottom feeding trout…

  40. You actually make it seem so easy together with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something that I believe I’d by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely large for me. I’m having a look ahead for your next publish, I will try to get the hang of it!
